: How can you listen to someone so disinterested with the actual balance of the game when he is literally switching between a league match playing as pizza feet taric saying that cheesing is fun and clicker heroes while his team does all the fighting. I don't really like click bait titles and maybe its his past videos that have left me discontent with anything he has to say. https://imgur.com/a/ND62PdE Everything he said is very easy to look up and doesnt require much of anything to find. He literally says it himself "im too lazy to google it" like most everyone else who will eventually find out about what riot's past looks like. IMO He chose the 10 year anniversary as easy ad-revenure considering most of his content is about weird shit anyway **EDIT** So he doesn't make ad-revenue but it was a blind guess, I stand by most of his content is weird shit anway. I cant find anything actually serious or funny on his videos if you consider that all he's doing is talking about other people all the time in a "its just a prank bro" tone of voice. Then again im not the one subscribed to him or anyone he talks about so really like Gine said > [{quoted}](name=AquariusGine,realm=EUW,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=7gpLzupI,comment-id=0006,timestamp=2019-10-16T02:25:51.871+0000) > > I like my anime skins. : Zoe isn't really gutted IMO. She's low winrate, but that's to be expected of a streaky character with high highs and incredibly low lows. We knew release tuning for her was going to be incredibly difficult, as she was developed with pretty much all of runes reforged being constantly iterated at the same time. LeBlanc prior to her rework had pretty similar solo queue winrates, and she was certainly a powerful champion. Not trying to make an excuse here -- I was the main playtester on Zoe, and the biggest mistake in retrospect from my end was not fully utilizing the power of QQR as a combo. It allowed her to trivialize a lot of her gameplay, and is probably my biggest testing regret of anything I've ever flubbed in the 2 years I've been here as IMO if we caught that before shipping we would have likely been able to stop a huge amount of player frustration. Ornn: He's not broken on live now, so I don't personally have any problems with the routes we took (but internally I'm in the camp of revert W unstoppability and nerf his W damage) Conqueror: The rune looks to have landed in a pretty-much-fine state. Personally think Rageblade was the big outlier this patch more than Conqueror, and if Darius is OP we'll just nerf Darius. We accepted that as a risk to make top lane a more enjoyable lane for a certain subclass of players who were underserved, and personally I'd make that sacrifice 10 out of 10 times if I lived in some world where I got to make all the decisions :P > The thing is with this mistakes that I personally want to know is in these cases where is the failure point? is it internal playtests misjudging or it seeming OK because of the naturally small pool of testers? or PBE with lack of feedback or wild inaccuracies in skill? Personally think low sample is the biggest culprit. We work on a very limited amount of bandwidth and a small team. I've been working pretty hard to interview and get more playtesters.
Wish i wasn't garbage at this game so i could apply to be a playtester, catch in in a year after i get good. Also, side note, thank you for the work you've been doing on the boards, been seeing you pop up a lot recently

Hey man, you probably don't remember me but you helped me out during a rough time a while back with a really cool book along with some other rioters, just wanted to say thank you for all of your contribution to the league community, your posts have always been some of my favorites. I hope this new opportunity works wonders for you! Good luck and keep on meme'in on. o7

: I remember all the "He has a high playrate because he's fun!!" people. Yeah it's fun to win alright. Nowadays you barely see him.
I mean, don't get your observations mixed up with the actual facts, he still has the 4th highest play rate out of any champion in the game at about 13.2%. It is lower than it used to be for sure but he still has a really large player-base because he is fun
: > back in the day because it could remove things like Zed and Fiora ult Aight, seen that around > as well as the stacks on any 3 hit passive https://i.imgur.com/uo6xviH.jpg[/img]
Ye, like say you had 2 stacks of vaynes silver bolts on you, you were able to qss it and it would make her have to stack them up again. Was somewhat niche but def won many people clutch 1v1's
: Twisted Fate was born with his magic. {{champion:202}} uses some, but idk if he was born with it. {{champion:64}} maybe?
Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe that TF actually acquired his magic via a gamble, kinda randomly
: Remember when QSS was considered an OP item?
It was also considered op back in the day because it could remove things like Zed and Fiora ult, as well as the stacks on any 3 hit passive, its been way more situational ever since its nerf
: The Most Popular Champions
This is mostly because out of every lane, marksmen have the smallest champ pool, unlike top or mid
: is dyrus having fun with league anymore?
He said he wasn't really feeling pre-season but will play a ton when ranked starts up again, ie soon
: I like how you've never taken a statistics course in your life, and therefore are not aware that a percentage without a suitable sample size is completely useless. Nobody plays the champion, therefore his win rate is going to always be inflated.
Then where do people find the ability to justify he has a <40%? There is no stat to prove that
: Except I didn't use his overall at all. I used his Platinum winrate in jungle before his tiny-ass buff. The recent patch just went live so there still isn't enough data on him. If a loyal Nunu main somehow manages a 70% winrate on him for 10 games, that affects winrate a ton because nobody is playing him.
last patch his winrate in jg was at 47% in plat+ so you seem to be pulling facts out of your ass
: The Nunu buffs were not even funny.
I like how people never look at His jg winrate which is at 48.76%(source Lolanalytics) and just quote his overall which has mid, top, and support mixed in which are attrocious

I don't know about shrinking unemployement, but I'm a bit skeptical that the changes in minimum wage had anything to do with it. The Seattle economy was already booming (or at least blooming) when this law passed. I live in Seattle and since the $15/hr went into effect I know a lot of people who are having trouble getting their full 40/wk. The University of Washington found that the average employee who earns $19/hr or less is making ~$150 less per month than they did before the wage hikes began. Basically what happens is that companies cut hours during slow periods (near opening or closing, or between rushes), thus shortening some shifts. It's a lot harder to make 40 hours a week with a bunch of small 5-6 hours blocks than it is from a few 8s or 10s, so many people see reduced hours. At the Subway Restaurant where my girlfriend works they've been cutting hours wherever they can. They used to have 2-3 people on staff at all times, but now there are many points throughout the day where she or other employees are alone (read: put in a stressful situation). Also a number of small businesses up here who already didn't have great profit margins finally tanked under the pressure of wages. And my brother lives in AZ and has worked a variety of jobs over the years. He's had trouble finding companies who are willing him to give him more than 29 hours a week because state law now requires them to provide health insurance to anyone working over 30. Of course, whoever wrote the bill was either braindead or knew it wasn't realistic and it was passed as a pure political stunt. I don't know how strongly you support the wage increases, but they definitely aren't some miracle cure-all. I'm sure there will be exceptions, but people working shit jobs will just have shorter hours for a higher wage, and if Seattle is any indicator, pulling in less per month. Job satisfaction will be as shitty as it ever was, if not worse due to added stress. Anyone trying to live on $13/hr is still going to be poverty-stricken and will need 2 full-time bread-winners to even afford the basics like upkeep on a cheap car and medical bills. Not to mention that the faster wages rise, the faster companies are going to switch to automation for their serivces, thus cutting jobs (An Example being McDonalds, which has been experimenting with little kiosks in their store to place your order).

: A lot will change in NYC very soon.
You'd be surprised, from an economic standpoint, raising the minimum wage benefits the economy and has worked in a multitude of other states so far, ex. Arizona and Washington had minimum wage increases that were substantial and both are still in economic booms. The success is very much based on what companies do however. If they don't fire people to make up for the difference, the money circulates through the economy more than before and benefits it, if they do lay off workers the economy stagnates. In the cases of Arizona and Washington, both saw a decrease in unemployment shortly after the minimum wage change which lead both of the states to thrive. If New York can realize this and follow a similar trend, the economy has a very good chance of looking good. If not then R.I.P my home city.

: If it isn't broke why fix it eh, they tried to and made a mess of it with BE so yea the old IP system was 1000% better. Thats why i said bring back the re rolls since i doubt they would revert to the old system. They even said they are not looking at the boards and focusing more on social media platform like reddit etc... so i doubt they would even read this. I never understood that reasoning though why would a company ignore their own forums? But yea when you lose you get a tiny bit of XP and nothing else and even when you win you have to leave it up to RNG to decide if you get something good from champion capsules when you level up. FUN
Please don't spread mis-information, they said that they are looking on the boards, in fact they explicitly said they read the boards all the time, just not replying as much due to the boards being overall more volatile.
: The difference is that when someone has left the game in Overwatch, you will not be punished at all if you leave the game after.

Probably because both of those were way overperforming, especially aery.
: Im a little bit surprised here. I thought in order to stay in the NALCS one has to perform and remain as one of the better teams in the league? This makes it look like its all about the money tbh. Immortals kicked out because rito is afraid of viewership heading to overwatch, and echo fox has to pay a ridiculous amount of 10 million to buy in? I'm sorry but, if you decide to kick out a team, shouldn't that spot be replaced by the next great team from the promotion tournament? I have never seen this side of rito before.

Riot is changing how the lcs by franchising, every team had to submit an application for a spot which costs $10 mil, its not a ridiculous fee, its standard for this model, for example an ow team cost $20mil for its spot. It is still ridiculous that IMT's application got turned down, however i believe theres something untold happening behind the scenes not just riot being petty.

Yes, yes he is? "The earliest account of Swain's existence comes from a Noxian infirmary doctor's notes. According to them, Swain limped into the ward without cry or complaint; his right leg was snapped in half, with bone protruding from the skin. A small, scowling bird seemed affixed to his shoulder. The doctor gawked in horror as the young adolescent answered questions about his health and age with a calm, even stare. Even behind the echoing crack as the sand counterweights reset his tibia, Swain's measuring gaze never flickered, nor did his eyes twitch from the pop of his fibula. He refused the doctor's recommendation of magical treatment for the leg's inoperable damage, requesting only a spare crutch before shuffling away. He next surfaced in documents from the Noxian military, although it is evident that they are incomplete. Normally a crippled boy would be turned away in shame from Noxus' proud legion, but the records indicate his first designation was that of a ranking officer." Its literally the start of his lore, an homage to his badassery. HE WALKS WITH A CANE IN GAME. HOW COULD THIS SLIP PAST YOU.

I sent you an email. I'm unbelievably surprised by your response on this post, thank you very much.
: According to LoLKing, the account you mentioned has 6 matches as anivia. 5 losses, 1 win. She died on June 9th...come on man, your dates don't even match up. Also according to LolKing, her last match was played in January. 70% of your story doesn't match up.
LoLKing also only shows ranked, in which that is accurate, my ranked looks similar, only i was the jg in all the games , sorry for the late af response. Didnt really check boards for a while. We did placements, tilted out of our mind and stopped. We were normal players due to her unstable internet for the most part. Idk why i am trying to prove anything to you, prolly just cause it feels bad to not be believed.
: The facts you mentioned don't even match up with the official news. If you really knew this person I strongly doubt that you would read one article then go post about it to get an anivia skin... She did not fail to yield, the pickup that hit her car failed. Also, multiple articles stated she was an avid member of her community, which is completely different from the "played 4-8 hours a day, every day, pass out, repeat" you mentioned. Maybe I'm wrong, I just can't make myself believe you
Would be pretty fucked up if any of what i said was a lie. I don't recall mentioning about who yielded, all i said was she died in a car crash. She was an avid community member when younger but couldn't be later on in time as her mother had no time to bring her anywhere with her job and grandmothers medical care. Her nearest neighbor was over a mile away. She was pretty much home locked. If you really don't believe me, i'm flying out to go to her funeral tomorrow morning. Also, i don't play anivia, i have one game of anivia played because she dared me to, so why would i want a skin. I'm truly sorry if you dont believe me but honestly, i don't think i could type something so heartfelt off an elaborate lie. I could tell you a million facts about her if youd like but, not like youd know them so no way to believe me. The one true thing i could do to prove anything would be showing you that her and i were texting up till the moment of the crash, and that i had no way of knowing until i looked up her name the next morning out of worry because her and i not being in communication for more than 12 hours hadnt happened in over a year.
: Edit: Im starting a go fund me campaign to get you a plane ticket but your email address is needed so that you personally can access the withdraws of the money raised and so that i am not liable for it
Oh, you really don't need to, my family was more than willing to help me get the money for it, thank you for the concern however
: I can only vaguely relate to this as i lost someone in my life that i loved aswell just recently. She didn't die but i did lose her for good. It takes time for the pain to soothe but you'll always remember it regardless. Just try not to make your scars bleed by thinking about it too much when enough time has passed. I once read a quote that you may want to read aswell. It went like this:"It isn't the tears that come from our eyes and cover our faces that hurt. It's the tears that come from our hearts and cover our souls." Knowing how wonderful of a person she was simply out of what you said means there are others out there aswell. Other angels that may shine light at you. You just have to find them or hope they find you. Yes, they are very rare but they are out there. And the best you can do is not give up on yourself. The most heartbreaking thing is that you never got to meet her in real life.
