Wish you all the best pushing for that final rank. Hey, thanks for your post! There's a lot of solid advice here. How do you scout teammates? Op.gg? I also play Thresh, Brand and Nautil, but I found that Galio is quite alright vs hook champions because of how little people seem to expect his burst and cc at least in silver. Also his ultimate is a pretty solid way to jump to other lanes if needed. A huge issue I have when warding /dewarding is that usually nobody follows to help and sometimes pings are ignored. Should I just drop the possition /objective in question rather than try in those cases?
Yes I use op.gg and type their names in but there are apps that get all that done for you pretty quickly if your computer can handle it so if you want to save time you can look into one of those. As for your warding, I would adapt to the positioning of my teammates to choose where my wards are going. If you are going to ward baron but everyone else is at base and your enemies are all MIA on the map that's probably not a great idea unless you want to temporarily switch to a farsight alteration to adapt to your current state of the game. I will try to ward around what my teammates are doing at that time (i.e. 3 sieging mid I'm going to try to ward in the red and blue side jungle brushes or raptor camps. Just consider who are threats to you when you make these decisions and adapt accordingly.
: Ranked advice
Honestly man, the #1 thing I would do is scout out my teammates before the games begin. If you get some thats been on a massive losing streak (like 1 or 2) and nobody else seems to be consistently putting out a solid KDA I would just try to dodge that game. Dodging was a huge factor in me making a quick climb to gold this year, sacrificing 3 lp to reroll for a better matchup is worth spending it towards hopefully making bigger gains. Also I would broaden my champion pool, galio is a decent support but he doesn't have a big amount of great matchups (about 13 of 29) in the bot lane (support main myself), I wouldn't necessarily pick him into a blind pick situation because almost all of the hook champions beat him pretty hard and they are probably the most commonly picked. Looking at the op.gg, it looks like we're averaging over 10 deaths a game, if we want to climb we have to be more picky about the moments we choose to engage. Play around enemy cooldowns, check out skill CD's before the match and look for windows to attack when their key abilities aren't available. Also try to make it a habit of glancing at your minimap when there isn't a ton of action in the bot lane (i.e. the adcs are just farming heavy) and make note if you see an enemy missing and ping it if you can. For the later game, ward around objectives if its safe to do so, try to stay in proximity of two or more players close by. Grouping is a huge must in the latter parts of the game. Be careful if you think an enemy is alone because its possible you might walk into an ambush. Think about what the enemy is trying to do currently and possibly in the future. If you have a pretty good idea of what they may plan to do that will give you an opportunity to counterattack accordingly. You may still have a shot at gold this year but if you don't hit it use pre-season to give yourself goals of what to improve on and carry into next season. Wish you all the best pushing for that final rank.

: A misconception is that macro doesn't matter at all when that couldn't be further from the truth. Granted, some champions can be more obnoxious than others, and Riven can be r%%%%%ed to play with/against ((i already know who that's directed at.)) But, at the same time, it's really hard to read this while also knowing you play a champion that has been repeatedly used by higher level players to hit challenger with 70+% winrates while playing solo. And if your post was at all accurate, then these players would never have been able to do that. It logically makes no sense. Looking at general mechanics, having played in a lot higher mmr ranges . . . top lane player mechanics are very similar to a master or challenger. ((When it comes to these particular champions I think it's pretty true. Nasus can only click Q so many ways.)) So, the only exception between the two would be. You guessed it. Macro. I'm also not a fan of the new skins, or any of that. I'm not a fan of aftershock pyke building bruiser + assassin while being tanky. And there are indeed some frustrations fighting some champs. But honestly? Climbing is still definitely possible. And. In my honest opinion. I feel the majority of people don't know how to bite the bullet and dodge games that would be frustrating to play, and they partially create their own misery. I feel it's the most underutilized ability we players have. Instead, most diamond/plat players would rather eat a loss and spend 39 minutes complaining instead of just xing out of the client for 3 lp and noping out of it all together. Additionally, I have learned ((top laners especially)) have absolutely 0 respect for junglers, mid laners, and their own lane match up. It's at such a bad state of disrespect now that it's hard to even feel sorry for the players and makes them even more abuseable. I don't even like iwilldominate and he blatantly disproved hashinshin's complaints with one single sweep. Hashinshin had at least 10k games as Jax, and IWD, in just a month, outranked him with a better winrate with the same champs. And he's a jungle main. It really puts into perspective when the jungler out ranks you in your own game and you still refuse to listen to the concept of respecting lanes and junglers. And that there, is where most top laners create their own misery. So, if you don't enjoy the game. That's cool,a lot of us don't from time to time. But, don't imply X doesn't matter, and X is impossible, and X is the only way to play when that is simply false.

yeah last night on my team we had one go for 26 kills and the enemy was like 'welp back to banning akali lol'

wow a pretty intelligent, well thought out analysis of a patch makes it to the top of the boards, well done on your stellar accomplishment!
: How is it possible that I have jungler Silver II vs. jungler Gold II in the same game?
I'm pretty sure you can always play a game with a duo that is I believe... up to 2 tiers above you? So that Gold is probably duo'd with a silver/bronze player, my best explanation.

: Yeah, do it like Artefact. Where the game is pay to play, and the only way to get new cards is by paying more. .... But really, while Artefact is more upfront and suffered greatly for it. It is indeed true that CCGs are just money machines. It's all about printing new OP cards faster than one can ever grind (and the grinding is typically both soft and hard capped) and force them to either pay or literally play the game nonstop 24/7 as if that's their life (and even then, the latter option would still be vastly behind the real money payers, but they would do better than casual players who are only in the game to soak the losses and give everyone else more wins). It's a kind of game that forces both astronomical commitment and monetary investment. It's only good for baiting suckers into sunk cost fallacy loop. I'd rather Riot not spend time and resource on making a card game.

: i need advice on tank supports
I agree he does feel kind of squishy, unless your making a run at top lane he won't be very sturdy, the support items doesn't allow for him to be very tanky. However, he does have a cunning interaction with his kit, if you're good at roaming you can use his R to flank overextended opponents or cut off escaping enemies if timed properly. He does have a low win rate (42--43%) so playing him is a bit difficult overall at the moment.
: What are your opinions on the visual design of Sylas
His pose on the base skin seems like he is a jacked up version of Kayn, his smile and positioning seems somewhat similar so I imagine maybe the Kayn splash was at least a reference? The wraith skin is pretty cool but the background for Sylas isn't very elaborate I would agree, however, despite the plainness, it does suit him because he Is just emerging from a prison and showing him on just the outside with a devilish smile of someone ready to get vengeance is quite fitting for him.

: Toxicity and why I will look for fun elsewhere
a simple compromise to that, hit the /mute all and just let the good times roll heck there is even a way (on youtube, don't remember the steps lol) do disable pre and post game lobby chat prior to entering a game. So basically unless someone squeezes in a .5 seconds of toxicity for the time it takes to hit /mute all you can play league with literally no chat at all, only issue is that you can't communicate with your friends on your friends list while you have the pre/post game chat disabled.

: I have no clue how ADC mains play this role with any regularity.
I tell you what, it must not be that bad of a role because back in the summer when they pretty well crapped on ad carries with the rework on crit items and what not, ADC mains and most other leaguers bout shit themselves, me personally I enjoyed playing unorthodox stuff in that carry role but man alive did the Ashe/Caitlyn mains come out in droves to voice their displeasure lol
: helps when your champs broken.
yeah and conversely i'll double up on the respect when they do it on an underpowered champ

oh my bad, you're not arrogant you're conceited, thus I will respond XD
: https://champion.gg/champion/Pyke/Support 48.64% winrate 8.49% playrate 3.92% banrate Seems okay. I'm not saying he's fun to play with/as/against/whatever, but I'm not sure why he should be nerfed.
a subpar win rate doesn't necessarily warrant not getting a nerf. It could be the results of inexperienced players not effectively using Pyke, which can skew win rates.

: I will look into it thanks for the convo summoner :)
: Baseless Claims
statistical evidence especially with this game is a bit fickle considering play rates, skill caps, the individuals playing the champs, etc but to be honest most people know they were just outplayed, they just need a place to air out their frustrations
: I don't think I can use too many programs since I play on a MAC but if you know any it could be nice to learn even though it isn't necessarily my thing Also I think there are ways you can go about dodging without being, well, a dick XDD For example before someone dodges I don't think they should down talk their teammates champ selection
well the reason it happens is simply its more difficult to report when someone shit talks in the lobby then dodges especially if they have weird characters in their name, yeah its poor etiquette but its best to just try to drop it from your psyche and move it along. Some of those apps MIGHT be available for mobile phone or live on a website? I don't know it just warrants a little research to find what you need.
: Great Entertainment While at Work
the chat logs are pure comedy, but the funniest ones are probably those from EUNE, I mean I'm sure I sound the same when I speak Spanish but their rants I'm sorry I can't help but burst out in laughter (though I feel for those who spent quite a bit of money on the game)
: Do you find Dodging to be Toxic
Dodging is an actual strategic tool in higher elo's especially, they have very useful information on programs that gives them specifics about their teammates. Example, you have a team with 3 people on at least a 4 game losing streak. Now while it isn't written in stone that you're gonna lose chances are you're going to have a major uphill battle. Or say 3 roles are hard countered, or even 2 or 3 folks are in off roles, your likelihood of winning is pretty low considering the opposition. So while its not for everyone, 3 LP sometimes is a small price to pay than queueing into a game where winning would be extremely difficult.

: Trundle Support should be looked at the same way as Leona: lock down and beat them down. Instead of stuns, you steal their stats and slow them. Always try to steal the enemy Marksmen’s AD and use your Ult on a tank support to get the most value from him. It was really popular in the 2016 Meta, back when I started playing. Has fallen off considerably though. The pick isn’t troll, you just need to be really good at it to find success in this Meta, which isn’t favorable for him.

: ..... At which point he has no kit left with which to go offensive.... Pyke is put on the defensive that entire game..... trying to avoid pull/knockups. He does not have the leverage to go on the OFFENSIVE. The point is...... Blitz doesn't give Pyke the Capacity to pull anyone or do any job in lane: -He can't use {{item:3307}} on threat of an open gap getting him pulled. -He can't pull someone to set his adc up for a kill (If he pulls Blitz, Blitz counterpulls him, giving his adc a better opportunity of controlling the fight. If He wants to pull the adc, Blitz gets in the way, controls the minion wave motions better, and this proposition becomes extremely hard. His heal is the direct tradeoff for his low damage and fixed HP gain. I'm sorry you don't know how to work around it. But, when you do, which will be "eventually"..... Pyke will lose every single game. P.S. I'm pretty sure you've never pulled a 27/0/9 Pyke game without using a damage Keystone Rune, with 2 unofficial Solo Octo/Septakills (Because the kills were spaced out about 15 seconds. And the first were killed shortly after they ressed) Try playing Pyke vs Me. You will never win a single trade. Ever.

: Sorry..... But Pyke doesn't have anywhere near Evelynn's damage output, cooldowns, or complete invisibility (You know at least where on the map a Pyke is). P.S. Blitzcrank Destroys Pyke, because his pull requires no windup, has a better followup, more on board damage, displaces a target further, and is far tankier. Learn to play against a balanced champ rather than whining about him.
destroys pyke? he can easily dodge blitz's Q with his E or to even mitigate that possibly he can go into stealth which has a move speed boost and more often than not escapes cleanly. You may be able to argue on mechanics here and there, but his regen is still an issue, they did fix the ult execute threshold somewhat but the amount he can heal after a trade is ridiculous and unless you can totally all in him (which is difficult because he can use a lot of tank properties and still retain decent damage) then he can reenter a fight within seconds with hardly a scratch. He is getting there but there are still parts of him that are not properly balanced. Coming from a person whos played pyke a decent amount too.
Poske (EUNE)
: Pyke nerfs any time soon? He is no longer a new champion
probably... about a month after his new skin sales tapers off, that's usually par for the course from popular champions that have recent skin releases.
