: Lovely. I don't like the embedding style though: You can hardly see the thing you want to promote. I can understand that you want to direct people to your Twitter but this way the image is way too small. My suggestion would be to keep the link to your twitter and add the image to the post as well; Just drop a link and it should automatically put the image there: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EANxwtNX4AEbmRl.jpg

: What inner dialogues do you have / actively try to defeat?
When it comes to my work, I tend to be a bit insecure about the stuff I create. I've been having increasing inner thoughts about if I'll ever make it in the industry. Stuff like, "This person found a flaw in my art. That means I'm horrible and not worthy of being a professional." "Not many people are liking this art post. That means I suck and won't find a wider audience." "I'll never get hired at this game company because I'll never be good enough. They've already rejected me three times." I've had to work to dissipate these insecurities. It's hard but regularly practicing and getting better at what I do helps a lot. The art world is brutal and filled with competition.

: I'll say I don't mind so much Kayle being pushed toward the Justice side of things and Morganna being pushed toward the Mercy side of things, but I really would have liked it if the portrayal of Justice and Mercy hadn't been so one dimensional. The best of justice is creating a world were people feel safe, where people are encouraged to be the best person they can possibly be by allowing them to grow and flourish and improve. The worst of justice is creating tyrannies where people fear for their safety, where people are stifled by the terror of what will happen if they step out of line. The best of mercy is giving people a second chance to those who are truly deserving, of having empathy for the imperfections of humanity and understanding that everyone fails sometimes. The worst of mercy is allowing injustice and evil to run rampant; a deep cruelty to those who are victimized by it. The new Kayle/Morg lore is only showing us the negative side of justice and the positive side of mercy. If Riot really wanted to show us living, breathing, three dimensional characters, then we need to see the good and evil of both ends of the spectrum.
This perfectly summarizes my thoughts on the rework's writing {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}

Lets hope its not 5 comic issues about Garen accepting Lux and maybe changing his mind about magic. Where all of that can be done in a single short story. Are you in our Discord lore server? would you want to be?

'Flesh and Stone' is still on Universe. :-) > > The "walking back" of the Radiant Ones is not a retcon, it's more trying to place "when is now?" in Runeterra. Lux already met Kahina, for example, by the time Sylas breaks out... but she appears not yet to be aware of any mysterious magical group within Demacia. Such a group would almost certainly be in conflict with the mageseekers, which is not a story we're ready to place at this time. > > So a lot of stuff is still canon (or will be canon) but it "hasn't happened yet". That's the best way to think about it. > > Overwhelmingly, players have requested story progression and a sense of time in the lore. We can't do that if all champions exist in conflicting states of knowledge, or if all stories just exist in a timeless splurge of perpetual "now". > > Cycling up to big stories and meaningful progression of the lore requires us to evaluate where (and when) every champion exists, "now". > > Hope that helps! It's pretty reassuring to me, although I still have my qualms with how dryly the new bio is written in comparison to the old one.
Ok! That's good to know. Hope to see more progression soon!
: I think it pulled back in terms of time. Lux's bio as it stood was pretty much "complete" She had gone through her heroes journey without much supplementery material. She accepted her powers, met Galio, discovered the Illuminators (which are still mentioned in the new bio, Lux just doesn't know yet) I feel like this at least gives her somewhere to go. Lux before felt like Genji from Overwatch an interestin character but one that was already 100% developed and found their place in the world. She was a less interesting Taliyah from a narrative perspective, because Taliyah has much to learn and places to go but Lux is just sorta done. Now she has somewhere else to go. I was much more upset about Garens bio changes taking the focus off of Garens' uncle dying and his reaction (which made him believe in Demacia) and strangely Jarvan IV getting captured is completely missing.
Interesting... hopefully you're right and her development will continue as we've seen!
Cetri (NA)
: I feel like it's less detailed overall. It gives less of a detailed picture on who Lux is in general (it's missing the parts that talk about how she's someone who _gets shit done_, for one thing), and excises some of the most impactful moments. If this was to retcon out the Radiant Ones in order to make way for Sylas's plotline, then I'm thoroughly disappointed. I feel they could easily have made both of those plotlines work together. Now I know how the ones complaining about Karma felt.
Exactly, I thought the whole concept of the secret mages was clever, as it showed that there were certain Demacian officials who saw the benefits of magic but also wanted to keep it secretly controlled. It was overall a very good outlet for Lux to use her powers.
Cetri (NA)
: Woah ,what the hell happened? That even takes out some other stuff, like her meeting with Galio. What gives?
No idea, it's very strange. Would love to see some Riot clarification! {{sticker:sg-zephyr}}

: I honestly can't agree more. I know people are always gonna like the cute girl over the actual human/animal hybrid, but imo it'd be much more interesting to go with something borderline alien and really weird looking, like something outta mass effect. But nope, gotta be something cute and marketable for girls to latch onto... *sigh* {{sticker:zombie-nunu-bummed}} Edit: I feel I should mention that as much as I REALLY hate Neeko, both design wise and thinking what could've been, for every one of her we get the polar opposite in design with champs like Swain, Kayn, Mordekaiser, Illaoi, you get the idea. So I suppose I can't complain too much. I just wish Riot would push the envelope with their female champ designs fantasy-wise instead of going cookie cutter to appeal to certain demographics. I'm sure they can afford it.
I'm a girl and would have loved a more Argonian look for a female champ.
: Honestly, I don’t think Old!Leona and Diana were just diametrically opposed because of different philosophies. How I read it, was a dialogue on truth/lies, good/evil and how they are not always as paired as you’d think. In the old lore. Leona was undoubtedly the good one. She wanted to promote peace and reform. While Diana was murder and destruction. However, in terms of their belief systems, Diana was truth and Leona was lies. Diana as a representative of the oppressed bodies and the horror of the Solari’s institutions which Leona is trying to uphold. I wasn’t 100% sure where it would lead but I was engaged. Which is opposed to the new lore. Where I’m pretty sure I know roughly where this is all going. And I hate it.
: Exactly, whoever thinks that the old lore was just "oH sUn vS mOoN rIvAlZ xddddd" is so wrong. The lore was all about perspective and how both sides fought for the same cause but one side ended up obliterating the others while pretending to be the "good guys" and so Diana being the only one that knew the truth wanted to bring justice to it all while Leona was still technically brainwashed into supporting the wrong cause.
Exactly! That's what I love about it. You guys put it in better words than I could.

: Pulsefire, Project, Battlecast and Program would like to have a word with you. ( I think this is the biggest skinline of all others. ) Other honorable mentions can include: Odyssey - Has Dark Star, and is a parallel universe to the normal "human" universe. ( Star Guardian is a TV show to them, also actively adding Super Galaxy, News Trio ( Primetime Draven, Forecast Janna, Dunkmaster Darius. ) and K/DA + Popstar into the mix. ) April Fools universe - Where most of the champions get along and live human lives. In the back splash art of Birdio and Sivir's you can see Annie. The Snowdown Toys universe - Ragdoll Poppy and such will fall in with Dino Gnar and Super Kennen. Along with this, Pug'Maw, going into the April Fools universe.
Oh, gosh! I'm afraid I misspoke my question. I know about the multiple skin universes, my query was if Ahri was the first single champ to have two skins telling a story in the same universe.

: Program LeBlanc and Nami
Loving the Nami skin! For a champ that has so many fantasy type skins it's great to see a tech skin on her.
: I like it all, including the hair. I'd have the wings in the "proper" place on her back though, and work out something else to be her coat tails. Using the wings or the carapace as the coat tails won't work, since they'd have to move in the same fluid way as her tails. Maybe something like leaves or fern fronds instead?
Definitely a viable idea! One does have to be careful with how much you deviate from the character's silhouette, as in game the character must remain fairly recognizable. having her with both shoulder wings and leaf tails might look great visually but may make her slightly less recognizable, which in a split-second reliant game like League may be an issue. Still, love the idea though I'd have to rework the concept a bit!
: Only thing I don’t like about it is the hair... but I don’t like normal camilles hair anyway so I would totally buy this lol TAKE MY MONEY
Yea, I modeled her hair after the head of a praying mantis, so it's not the most normal hairstyle XD Glad you like the skin!

: Problem with Bewitching Janna's splash art: Janna's not that flat!
I mean, it depends on what kind of bra she's wearing. Breasts don't always look the same size, my dude. Looks like her shirt is pretty tight fitting.

: With them being announced as birbs so long ago I was expecting harpies and was estatic. What I got wasn't harpies, I got shoulder cape wing and slightly weird ( but not bird leg) legged edgy lass and her kind Wrangler who is a tad bit whipped. But that's just my two cents on them.
Kinda of agree, but I think it's part of League trying to have a more unique take on certain creatures, like how they made Willump look unique compared to a traditional yeti.
: Good job, there are a lot of details that i have never noticed before... Seriously, i cant believe that i have never noticed before that they have feathers of each other. I think that that the only thing that you missed is the Fox part of Rakkan and Xayah... i mean, i havent seen the whole video (the first 20 minutes)... and im not even sure if the other animal that they used was a fox or it was another animal... but those ears are from a mamal.
Thanks! You're right, they do have small elements of other animals, mostly their ears.

: What is it like in the artistic world?
You can find my artwork here! https://www.artstation.com/inkroseinc Q; What's your favorite / least favorite part about what you do? My favorite thing by far is being able to design/create characters, creatures, and worlds! This goes hand in hand with being a writer, visual storytelling is a super important and amazing part of being an artist. I love making things that people love and can relate to. https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/012/164/873/large/anastasia-snyder-thunder-thighs-turnaround-by-inkrose98-dcj5uhy.jpg?1533373533 Worst? Probably the sheer amount of time and effort it takes to get to a professional level. Takes dedication! Q; How do you stay motivated? Listening to TONS of music and looking at a bunch of art! Seeing what other people are doing and trying to help yourself get to their level is a great motivator. https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/011/974/712/large/anastasia-snyder-kindred-surprise-by-inkrose98-dcgzc42.jpg?1532386758 Q; Where does your inspiration come from? Definitely a high-production value tv series based on the characters and world of my book, Dragon Queen: Scarlet Reign! I'm really dedicated to bringing that story to life. (If any) Fantasy concepts that I think might be underutilized in a certain way are always great places to start working. : Perhaps you are right in that this isn't exactly a fair comparison because of Jinx's crazy character. But when watching overwatch shorts I feel like there are lots of moments where the expressions just aren't...there yet. Sometimes they get it right, but often times I feel like a lot of emotion is lost because the intensity in facial expression is lacking. The character doesn't have to be crazy to express dynamic expression, either. Even in my favorite short, "Dragons", one that makes me tear because of how beautiful it is, there are moments where I think "hmm, that could be pushed a bit further." And even with Jinx's crazy character, I think that Riot pushed it as far as it could go without it being too much. It's not just about being overly expressive, it's actually the very subtle details in her face, the small smirks, tilt of the head, slight widening of the eye, etc that really "wow" me more than anything else. Again, the character does not have to be super dynamic to express this and Blizzard just doesn't really have this subtle thing really going for them (with some exceptions). From an animation standpoint I still think this video shows that Riot has surpassed Blizzard. But I do think that Blizzard has an upper hand at storytelling.
