: How old are you, what is your gender, and how many hours a week do you play?
It seems quite a few more females play this game than I had initially thought

Well, that's damage over time in the loosest definition of DOT. It's more like a delayed burst, which while useful can be weaker than the previous magic DOT in certain situations. Which is kindof a lot different than a DOT, DOTs aren't ever "weak", they just are.

I suppose it comes down to semantics as I just perceived it as a Damage over time, as in you receive damage over a period of time even if it is a single proc of damage at the end of the time limit.

: How to climb through plat. Rip.

When I first entered plat I had started to focus on utilizing several heroes per role, as when in plat you will likely to have to do every role during one game or another. Thus I started to increase my proficiency with 1-2 heroes per role, and I started to focus on specializing in 1-3 roles out of the 5. This way when I entered a game lobby I could state "Mid X, Top X, Jungle X Preferred" but I could still fill ADC with X, or Support with X if the situation called for it. It is particularly valuable for you to have a specialization as well as remain malleable so that you can adapt to less malleable team mates, and situations where your team mates are less willing to compromise with everyone else. One of the key things to climbing in any division is that you need to remain psychologically optimistic, and not begin to externalize the location of blame while simultaneously internalizing the source of success to your own self. Success comes from effective team work, communication, and cooperation throughout the entire time. In contrast failure will likely arise when the team and or one or more players begins to devalue someone else with insults and or blame. Losing a match is part of the game and in all honesty you learn more from losing than winning, which you wont realize and or see if your psychological construct becomes clouded with negative associations. TLDR Remain positive, cooperate and specialize in a few roles as well as a champ or two for every role, and above all regardless of the losses just know that your average over a hundred games is likely going to be positive if you remain positive.
: Where should I start jungling? Second and third camp? When and where should I place my warding trinket?

When and where should I place my warding trinket? If I am not invading/stealing an opposing team's red/blue buff at the start then I will start usually at one of two places, the first is that of Kroogs for the stun buff which leads into Red followed by Blue, followed by Wolves to birds (If I have the HP and lanes are not pushed in). The alternate path would be to start at gromp for DOT buff, and then into the blue buff followed by the Red buff, which then leads into birds to Wolves (If I have the HP and lanes are not pushed in). I usually start ward trinket of which If I start gromp/blue first I will ward the bush next to red as I do it, in contrast if I start kroogs/red first I will use the ward over blue wall while I do blue.
: what is your opinion on ryze

A team with Ryze, Graves, Leona/Braum, Swain, Volibear/Gragas would be terrifying.
: Vladimir or Diana? I'm more of a teamfighting person, main Nami. No prefiero single-target damage champions/split pushers. I feel like Vlad is pretty teamfighting oriented but he's not as fun as Diana. But Diana's like "killing the Carry" champ (which I don't really like) :(

No prefiero single-target damage champions/split pushers. I feel like Vlad is pretty teamfighting oriented but he's not as fun as Diana. But Diana's like "killing the Carry" champ (which I don't really like) :( Both champions offer different values relative to the situation. In my opinion Vladimir is the stronger as well as a more reliable split pusher, and Vladimir is one of the most versatile champions in the game. He can rune/mastery/itemize against any lane opponent, and team composition. Vlad with a WOTA, revolver, and boots will outduel most people in lane. Typical build I use on Vlad versus an all around balance enemy team composition 1. WOTA 2. Merc Treads 3. SV 4. Sunfire 5. Rylais 6. Gunblade/Liandrys With this build Vlad is an amazing team fighting asset as he can tank, do enough constant AOE dmg with E/Q/Ult/EtC, that he must be focused. This then causes DPS that would have gone towards the softer heroes to go towards you instead, all the while your team can direct their DPS at high priority targets. Vlad is amazing at team fighting, dueling, and split pushing.

Renekton, Garen, and Darius are the three champions I find it easiest to fight Riven with. However, I usually play Vlad against Riven but I would not advise doing so unless you are experienced with that particular match up.
: your opinion on zz portal first item garen
> [{quoted}](name=Garens Harem,realm=OCE,application-id=mNBeEEkI,discussion-id=ITrPRTnW,comment-id=0001,timestamp=2015-06-03T09:09:54.652+0000) > > your opinion on zz portal first item garen I would not build ZZ Rot portal as a first item on garen for a few reasons, the first is that it is a 2800 gold cost which could be put towards something like a black cleaver early game. The ZZ rot portal provides 60 armor/60 MR which with Garen's passive would provide an additional 12 per stat. However, what Garen needs early game is something that will make him a threat during mid game team fights as well as make himself more tanky. The Black Cleaver provides CDR, Health, armor shred, and Attack damage all of which greatly benefit Garen early and mid game.

: Why do people keep throwing games by picking tristana adc?
> [{quoted}](name=OhOkYeah,realm=NA,application-id=mNBeEEkI,discussion-id=ITrPRTnW,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2015-06-03T09:02:35.354+0000) > > Why do people keep throwing games by picking tristana adc? Tristana is not a bad or weak ADC, she just fills a somewhat unique role among the ADC roster as each one of them does. She has mobility/wall hopping, a disengage/finisher, an AS steroid, and most importantly she works extremely well with a burst composition due to her DOT and Resets. To maximize Tristana's effectiveness one just needs to select her when the team composition acts as a catalyst for her power.
