: I used to play a lot of {{champion:85}} , (have nearly 1 million points) , then you realize that once you get out of silver, it's basically the most useless thing you can play in top lane. Sure when team fights go around you pretty much auto win, but in the laning phase, you almost always lose. So I stopped playing him because it's like, if you don't cheese the ever living f out of your laner at level 1, you won't win the game unless the game goes well over 30 minutes.

: i get filled top more than support now
That's why I moved to mid lane. Top is just a counter picking jungle camping nightmare where you feel useless even if you do manage to do well in lane.

By the time you get items, the lane's practically decided and he's bullied you into submission. The runes negligibly help the lane. The only way to beat him is in champ select, and that's with ranged top, which is another cancer on top lane.

Jax, Shen, Pantheon are all solid non-ranged champions that can handle him. Jax counter strike will stop him from stacking on you, as will Shen W, and Pantheon passive/W. Jax and Shen both have ways to escape on top of this. I find champions like Riven and Darius to be far more problematic than Tahm. At least you know Tahm is going to be pretty damn useless after lane phase.
: 3-7 in my last 10 ranked games, getting ACE or MVP almost every game, can't climb, please help
Maybe I can help a bit as someone who was recently Gold that just reached Plat. Think about picking a champion that fits your team better. Karthus will do a lot of damage, and absolutely nothing else. I play a good amount of Karthus, but I won't touch him if enemy team has shields, heals, invuln, etc. He is not the right pick for every occasion. If enemy team is squishy with minimal shield/heal, I like to go Karthus. With that said, you really need to consider what your own team may need, as you will ONLY be providing damage. Your team might need a tank or crowd control instead of extra damage. Kills are great, but it DOES NOT always translate to a win. Also, as someone else mentioned, don't build Mejai on Karthus. He will die a lot by design.
: In Promos for Gold!!! So Excited!
Good luck, don't do what I did. Recently got in Platinum promo and went ice cold. Won't blame teammates, trolls, etc. I just played like total shit and lost 3 in a row :/

: Why is Vayne allowed to be meta when Tanks aren't meta?
Don't care if I get downvoted a ton, but most of you are so wrong about this. Her true damage is great against tanks, but not her main source of damage or even frustration. The stealth changes with Q and rageblade is what pushed her over the top. Go check Vayne damage after a game and there's typically not as much true damage dealt as you would expect. Too much synergy with rageblade and a tad too much stealth.
: Hi, I'm an ADC main. It's a bit frustrating to know that a post like this is an actual trend on the boards. Supports are allowed to insult and blame us for toxicity and lanes going poorly, but I rarely see supports admit to any kind of mistake. I know I'm setting myself for failure and a rain of down votes with this one, but this attitude of blaming us for every bad lane you have isn't helping anybody. I've been playing since 2012, ADC since 2014, and I've never had a toxicity-related problem. Not once. I'm also a player who will **ALWAYS** prioritize honor and commendations towards my support. I don't care that our Mid Irelia went 59/0/23 and carried the game, I'll still commend my Support. I don't question people for weird support picks. I'll never **EVER** flame a single support player for taking any kill in lane. There's no such thing as a _"KS"_ which was a term used by raging kids in season one who thought the game was another Team Deathmatch game. Everytime a Support apologizes to me about taking a kill, I'll tell them to not apologize for such a thing. I'll also always let them get ward-kill gold. And yet, the amount of times that I've had to deal with supports screwing me over would make for a funny post, including some of the following situations: - Support flames me for not following them into an ill advised fight. Examples include engaging when we're at half HP or low on mana, engaging a Draven or Lucian that have level and item advantage, attempting to fight in lane when I'm on my way from base to then ping me in rage because they engaged too early. - Leaving me to rot 1v2 and "teach me a lesson" because I did one of the following: Asked them to play more passively. Asked them to please stop attacking the minions so I can control my wave. Asked them to play more aggressively when we have a clear lead. - Support player will make a bad roam. They'll decide to leave as our mid player is recalling. They arrive mid when there's literally nothing to be done and our Jungler isn't even going for an invade and is at the other side of the jungle. Playing against oppressive lanes that know how to freeze, this often results in a nearly unplayable laning stage, as I can't get close enough to farm and I'm being zoned by Draven/Nami or whatever. But if I ask my Support to please not leave me alone, I'm called a toxic idiot who doesn't know how to play safe, with the player not realizing how much a 1v2 frozen lane actually hurts any ADC. - Support decides they're the "real" carry and start taking CS. Unlike what some of you may think, doing this won't make you stronger. It'll only make the both of us weaker. We'll be sharing CS in a lane where enemy ADC will be getting all the gold for themselves, and heading into the mid game, maybe you'll be alright as you don't need as much gold, **but we do**. CS gold is our bread and butter, and when you do this, you're only slowing us down and directly jeopardizing the team. - This is the most rare, but sometimes I really get a support that is absurdly clueless. Yesterday I had to deal with two different kinds of supports. One was an over-eager Nidalee, who dove the enemy 1v3 several times to get a kill. The other one was a Blitz who after being chunked half health by Varus/Soraka, would just run into them unable to land a single hook, and this is no exaggeration. He would make you Blitz mains cringe. Of these two, I'll take the eager Nidalee 10 out of 10 games. She may have been insane, but she at least had a plan, stayed with me without pointless roams... then actually roamed to help when the time was right, and did get some useful kills for the whole team. It's rare that I get a Support as clueless as that Blitz, but yes: the support position isn't immune to these kinds of players, except because we're a duo lane, that player will drag the both of us together. Did I flame Blitz? No. But it wasn't a fun lane/game for me. If any of the above happen and I end up in a weak mid-game phase, starved for gold and items, it's apparently never the support's fault. It's never their bad roams, ill-advised engages or bad plays. It's always my fault because the other person is just _"the poor support doing their best"_. I don't want anyone's pity, I just want responsibilities assumed. I'm only as strong as my support is. I won't flame you, but I expect you to realize when you've made a mistake. If you're going into the game with a mentality of _"ADCs toxic as they come and dumb as a sack of potatoes"_ then it's no wonder you get frustrated so easily. Of the times I've had to play Support in ranked, I've rarely (if ever) have had to deal with a _really_ toxic ADC, yet for a couple rotten apples you wanna put us all in the same basket? I come into every game trusting my Support, regardless of previous experiences. I'll always try to be amicable when trying to fix an ongoing problem in lane and will never call people "Stupid" or any names like that. You guys as support mains wanna claim respect but don't seem interested in giving it back. Not every ADC is how you paint us, and you too are capable of making mistakes. Less insulting, more open minds please. Thank you and take care. {{champion:18}}
I relate to this far more than the OP. Also, every player is different. When I play ADC, I know my strength is CSing better than my opponent, and I'm good at survival, even against harass-heavy duo. I am not great at aggressive play style with ADC. Because of this I tend to be more passive than my enemy because I know I'll have an advantage later in the game if we go even on the kills. I suggest getting a feel for how your ADC plays. You don't need to always engage and harass just because. Sometimes this puts pressure on a passive player to be more aggressive than they'd like and they end up losing CS or end up dying. That's usually how I end up dying personally.
: His weakness is that his whole kit is melee. Sure, someone like Hecarim top would have a hell of a time with him (having weaker stats/abilities all around while also being full melee). However most top laners have some form of poke/range. You harass him with that, and he can't do anything back other than all-in. Since his only option is to all in, you can expect it. So either he weathers a storm of poke (respecting your jungler), or he goes all in on you (burning his leap to get on you) and dies if your jungler is nearby because he burned his escape. In low elo it may not matter (your jungler won't think to camp top, and you'll probably stand and fight even if your jungler isn't there instead of disengaging), however at reasonable elo that's your counter.
Boards love to overreact to certain things. Jax is in a good spot, but he actually has a lot of counters top lane. Imo he is more of a problem when jungling because his ganks are so easy.

I had the same issue tonight. Please fix!
: Yup. There's a reason riot (usually) balanced the game around plat. This is the region where rank is split into trash tier and real high elo. Those are two totally different worlds. Some games here in high plat feel like playing in the lcs. Some others are pure clownfiestas.
: Players, what mains do you respect the most or least?
**Respect:** {{champion:119}} {{champion:126}} As a player who has played almost everyone in the game, I respect people who main these two. They are one of the few champions I have tried and simply cannot get the hang of. **Disrespect:** {{champion:268}} {{champion:105}} {{champion:120}} {{champion:39}} {{champion:203}} {{champion:203}} {{champion:203}} {{champion:157}} {{champion:154}} I can't stand champions that have little to no weaknesses. As a {{champion:90}} main, I also feel the need to say how annoying it is to have your champion reworked (when he was considered semi-weak) then everyone calls you OP after rework even though Q,E, and R were all nerfed. Whatever respect was shown before has flip flopped entirely.

I didn't understand the concept of ability power when I first started playing, so I figured I needed more AD and attack speed with {{champion:9}}

An experienced Vlad beats the rest with one eye close. As a Malzahar main AND a Vladimir player, I declare that you are entirely full of shit. Fiddle, Malz, Swain, and Warwick are the worst IMO. As Vlad, you literally cannot kill Fiddle/Swain/WW. Malz wins because of DoT, silence, and mostly his R. People also tend to forget how valuable his W is because it deals % damage... and since Vlad is tankier than most mages, it is more effective against him.
