I love how in this conversation, somehow we forgot Riot DIDN'T FIRE THE SEXUAL HARASSERS. This is why we're in this situation - Riot is just trying to cop themselves out by launching an event for females, which is also a thinly veiled insult to them and just inviting them in to be harassed by the men they didn't fire. What woman in her right mind would work for a company like that? And also they discriminated against the men who did nothing at the same time. Maybe before you guys degenerate to childish insults next time, remember the main enemy isn't each other, it's Riot being arrogant. XD Go to comment

Dope Solo decided to only reply to like, two sentences in my post so I'm completely ignoring him now. Hopefully that post will help someone else see why this move from Riot was so shitty. Women don't need this special treatment, we want equal opportunity, not hand-holding like a child. Riot was just downright arrogant with this move. I honestly hope they fire the toxic devs running their mouths atm. I'd be banned if I made even one of those tweets in game. Riot is just looking down on women with this move because they think we can't succeed without removing men from the equation. We don't want to be treated special in this case. We just want to succeed with our own skills and experience. Being handed the job because you're a woman takes away from your accomplishments. It isn't about equality at all in this case. It's about men thinking we can't get by, we're weak, we can't handle ourselves. Which, funnily enough, Dope Solo was trying to prove wasn't the case but in his fight for 50% female 50% male, he actually proved the opposite. Sure, you might be a very accomplished woman, but having the job specifically because you're meeting some diversity quota? That's just stupid and demeaning. My original point stands - if you can't go to an event at a primarily entertainment-based event with your friends, what's the point in attending at all? We don't want to succeed if it's at the expense of someone else who deserved the job more than us, even if they were a man. And anyways, this game is based around playing with your friends, and a lot of the ideas around the game are created by the community. By excluding a huge chunk of the community, you divide it and basically shoot yourself in the foot. This game is about playing, creating ideas, and engaging in it - with friends and co-workers. Regardless of gender. So why should men be excluded from the job because Riot wants to play at being politically correct? Fire the molesters and toxic devs and hire good talent, male or female or otherwise. That's the only way everyone will be happy. Women have a huge place in the game and technology industry, but not this way. They can take the job and shove it where the sun doesn't shine if they think women will have a go at that. Go to comment

Just do this to shut the women up, so we can get back to catering for the pros and forget about this in like two weeks and continuing harassing our female employees like nothing ever happened. Women don't want to work for a company like that; if I can't bring my friends to a job fair regardless of whether it's a job fair or not, then I don't want that job. We don't want special treatment, was my point. My point was that women want the equal opportunity, without pulling the rug out from under someone else. Job fairs are a dime a dozen, I agree, but these panels aren't held in every convention. Not to mention, a lot of these men paid to access this panel which I'm pretty sure Riot broke a law denying them paid access... I do agree this person needs help but not from us, the point is going so wildly over his head his mum could tell him this and he'd think she needs to go in the looney bin. Go to comment

I really hope you get the all clear for that soon. It's pretty scary dealing with that sort of thing and I'm glad you found solace in this game, but I agree with everything you've said. The developers and such have stooped so low that money is the only thing that matters now. We're just expendable to them. I'm really sick of it and I refuse to stand by a company that effectively excludes half the population, especially those who are our husbands, close friends, brothers, uncles, nephews, cousins, etc. Everyone knows a really good man who didn't deserve this kind of stunt, and Riot doesn't deserve the money or the light of day for it. Between having 2 control wards in my bag and a trinket it is easy to stay warded bottom lane. AlienPrimate (NA) : You don't need a sightstone when you can 2v3. Sometimes combat stats are better than a sightstone if you can just win a fight when the enemy ganks. I guarantee you aren't winning a 2v3 with sightstone first item unless they dive.
