: I got absolutely shat on by a annie as yasuo because of how brainless it is for her to just run along qing you every 4 seconds doing 200 damage each time. Velcoz has range but I can still see an annie flashing past that and just diving which is why I find her so broken,
Don't use Yasuo. Yasuo's movement is powerful but extremely predictable. Someone like Diana post-6 will completely destroy Annie. Fizz too. Basically anyone who can a) burst harder or b) dodge the stun. Akali also works well. Annie often can't 100-0. She can 70-0 though so that's what she'll go for. Use that as your chance to bait out the stun and counter-attack.

: Who is a true counter to annie?
{{champion:25}} shits on Annie's stun+faceroll combo. {{champion:20}} eats the bear and shits it back out. {{champion:115}} is a strong counter if you're good. ONLY if you're good. Not if you're shit.

: Something somewhat constructive, a couple words at least. > Riot NEVER promised a refund (i.e full or even half) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY67yCaGdno#t=4m12s This is all the way from May. At 4m 12 sec mark (I time-stamped for you), he said "Many of you guys have spent a lot of IP on Runes alright. When we transition to the new system, we'll have a plan in place to take care of players who've invested in Runes and Rune pages over the years." Okay, cool. Then they also while not announcing that there would be a refund, they a couple times teased the possibility of it, or at least that's the kind of wording they went for when talking about the compensation, and at least at 1 instance said that one of the options being considered was full refund. That unnecessarily created a false outlook of the deal, and obviously when it all crushes and burn, people are understandably not happy about it. And that's the center of all of this, as I'd hammered on many times already. I should've been quite clear on my stance here: I don't really care too much about whether or not there's a compensation for this. But I do place blame on Riot, at least more so than I do on the community, for the current situation because it wouldn't have happened if they were more careful and clear about their communication. But then you're just a diehard who attack/defend just to attack/defend. You don't analyse the situation, you have a pre-existing agenda that comes from wherever and you just want to push it, and PUSH IT. You also have a tendency to respond to people who do not agree with you with substantial ridicule, strawman and passive aggressive type attacks mixed in your statements; I suppose you need those to have a grip on the flow of the talk? You're in reality no better than the supposed mobs you're shitting on and ridiculing because you're just as bad as them just sitting on the other end of the seat. Speaking of passive aggression, stop that "xD after an insult" deal with that emoticon spam. No you're not funny or being witty, you're just salty, for no reason. Please stop that, you're not stepping up your game with it, it in fact does the opposite. I'm finished here. I rest my case.
Then that's the player's fault for getting hyped over Riot literally trying to push out their thought process. They were THINKING about the POSSIBILITY of a full refund. LOL Spoilt shits are funny {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}}

: Way to miss the real mark twice in a row. The issue ultimately is a broken promise problem. Blame it on indecisiveness or bad choice of words, Riot did say that it was going to be a "refund", which is now not delivered hence broken trust and outrage. Runes not gonna get compensated IS a lost value no matter how much mental gymnastic you're going to perform to claim otherwise, as you for some reason completely ignore the fact IP is a currency to unlock the initially completely barren game (where you almost have no access to anything on a fresh account) and players are all paying up to gain access to the said game content via either cash or time investment playing and growing the game; the fatal logic flaw is assuming that IP is a charity system, or something not integral to the game's design, but it simply isn't the case and both assumptions are woefully false. Whether or not you're cool with it is 1 thing, but you can't say that the value isn't lost, especially when originally it was promised a refund. Once more, the real deal that broke the camel's back as I've said and emphasised AGAIN AND AGAIN, is the broken promise ordeal. I would take that you avoid addressing that part even though I specifically exclude them out of the main bodies for highlighting, means you have no beef on it. And by having no beef in my actual point, and continue to reply while avoiding my core argument, it means this talk is completely non-constructive, and there is little reason for me to linger around, waiting to respond to your results from your next mental gymnastic session.
Read my last paragraph again. Tell me again I didn't address your whole post. Good lord sometimes the reading comprehension of League players is so funny it hurts. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}} PS. Riot NEVER promised a refund (i.e full or even half). : > Lost value in what? Do you not play the game to have fun in game? If you have 100 value of something, and now it's only worth 15. It's lost value. No matter how much you want to rationalise around it, it's a lost value. It's simple as that. It doesn't matter if it's in-game currency or something. What if you have 100 bucks in the bank and now it's only worth 15, will you just settle for that? What if it isn't the capital but the interest rate that's getting axed, so you would be having say 100 bucks of interest every month but now it's only 15, will you just go and say "It's "free money" anyway and I don't need compensation for my own bad investment"? Make no mistake, IP, imaginary or not, is no different to actual investments. Why? Because the system is NOT made as a charity, it's MADE WITH PLAYERS GRINDING IN MIND. Therefore, it's made so that players have to grind/work for something through this system. It's the very example of investment, players use their time as currency playing/promoting this game in exchange for the content unlocks of this game. You also agree that it's an investment anyway. But then when treating it like an investment, which you do selectively but generally agree, and pointing out that this situation's bad because the invested value just vanished without any sort of compensation; you instead immediately direct to things like "it's free" (which again, it's not, because the game is designed around it where player's have to unlock the game's content by playing; And you can also draw parallel to bank interest as said before, nobody is gonna be okay if banks just suddenly axe your interest rate even if it's """free""", which again interest rate is actually not too btw but that's not go too deep there) or "you can only blame yourself for your bad investment" (blaming the victim of the situation that screw them over, classic). And it's also the "moving the goal post" argument. In other words, your reasoning is pretty busted here. It's pretty clear that when treating this case as an actual investment, you can't, you simply can not, make it seem like the problem lies in the client. Using the "investment" approach to defend this situation only makes your argument seem worse. ................ But then again, as I've said, the root of this entire problem is in the communication and broken promises due to Riot failing to deliver the intent or that they'd go back on their words, where initially a refund was more or less promised. THAT is what ultimately caused the outrage, because of a sense of betrayal from broken promises and the trust between the client and the service provider is now violated. Had Riot just made it clear that there wouldn't be much compensation because fuck you, then while it would still be _some_ outrage, it wouldn't have gotten this bad, because the trust issue there is no where as bad as situations like what we have atm. This is why there was relatively little outrage when TF2 went f2p and paying players only received a shitty hat in return, because Valve was clear on what was going to happen, and that was exactly what happened. The problem was that Riot said there was going to be a refund, but then turned out the refund is quite minuscule in comparison to the value it is trying to "refund".
Money doesn't suddenly change like that, so that's silly, but even if it did, everybody's money loses value, and it was probably due to some astronomical problem with the economy, so tough shit. If it was a change in interest rate, then I'd shove the contract in their face and call my fucking lawyer because they would have done something against the contract. Do you have a contract with Riot on your investment on runes? No? Tough. Shit. It's YOU who has no idea how runes actually compare to investments. Not every investment is stable/profitable (stocks can plummet real fast; just ask, I dunno, the owner of JCPenney or something). Even as you try to compare runes to bond investments, it's not the same as a bond because you don't have a contract with them AND Riot didn't guarantee you a ROI. **Riot doesn't owe you shit**. You know why? Because when you clicked "Agree" without even bothering to read the EULA after each patch, you unwittingly signed their agreement, which, if you read it, says (paraphrased) "Even if you give us money, we don't owe you shit." So no, their "refund" is in no way unfair. Will it hurt them, as you say, due to lack of communication? Hell yes. Players are already very angry and I'm enjoying the whole show. But are the players angry from a solid and unfallible wrongdoing? Absolutely not. In fact they sound so much like whiny entitled little shitheads all I can do is laugh. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}}
SEKAI (OCE)
: You do realise the center of the issue is Riot's bad wording, right? If they said it was going to be a refund, which is what this whole thing was promoted as, then you know, people kinda expect a refund. And you know what a "refund" means. People feel cheated because the promises are not delivered as promised. The problem is a broken promise issue, to do with clarity and communication. It's that simple. ............. Also, Rune is not a tiny margin. Individually, yes, but they add up you know. Not to mention Riot also took a liking of scaling and late-game Runes. Rune is not some cosmetic that you buy at your discretion and means nothing in the game, it's a necessity with noticeable advantage in some way. Hence purchased. Or you can try playing your matches without any Runes, I'm sure you will feel no difference surely. ............. When Runes are to be invalidated and not compensated, it means veteran players have a lot of lost values in their game-time because what was spent on the Runes back then could've been spend on something else now but it's not returned to be used. Whatever you feel about it, it's still a lost value. And the problem kicks in, Riot initially promised it to be a refund of some sort. But now that's not going to be the case. And so people feel that those values are especially "lost" due to the double burn from actually losing it and being promised to get it back but then cancelled. ............. Hence the understandable outrage. If they actually just tell the players "sucks to be you" it wouldn't get this bad tbh. The issue is rooted in communication as stated above.
I never said 0 runes. Obviously buying 1 rune set is necessary. But you don't need to drop all your IP on every rune. I got to Plat with literally only AD/AS marks, Flat armor Seals, Flat MR quints, and AD marks. That's it. And I'm a pretty trash player. Lost value in what? Do you not play the game to have fun **in game**? What the fuck is the point of grinding games for out-of-game rewards? So you played games, threw out the value of the actual game and placed it on the after-game reward currency, and spent your currency on bullshit you didn't actually NEED, and now you're complaining that you need a compensation for your own bad investment that was never actually bad (because you got value out of it for the past 1-8 years)? Tough shit. Riot didn't think you guys hated the game so much that you would devalue your actual game time to the tiny 50 IP imaginary currency you get after each game rather than the game experience itself. If you really think you lost out by losing some of your imaginary money to the THOUSANDS OF FREE HOURS OF GAMEPLAY they provide to you, you're thinking real loopy. Why do you even play this game.
: basically there are people that bought rune pages with RP, aka they spend real money on something that will be rendered useless, its got nothing to do with investment, the fact is that riot refuses to give them back something of equal value, i mean random skins is not what they wanted or cant be compared to a vital component of the game, so a refund of RP or BE equal to that which was spend on rune pages is more fair, but nope.

: It ain't about the changes, Riot is 7 years too late on them. The fact that they claim their illogical compensation of different rate of refund on IP spent on runes before 2017 vs after 2017 fair is not at all fair. We just want rate of refund on IP spent on runes to be the same. For older summoners whom bought most of their runes prior to 2017 had to grind for IP to buy runes instead of champions just like newer summoners, except just because they bought them before 2017, they are compensated with far less rate than newer summoners who couldn't prior to 2017 because well, they weren't able to: 1) weren't playing 2) haven't grind enough to do so. Like many, I played 1000+ A.I. matches (for those who remember how bad they were) just to grind for them IP to buy runes instead of champions so I can compete against others on even grounds. Instead, RP were spent on champions that I wanted to learn, I'm not even complaining about RP spent on champions but the fact that I did not have option to buy runes with RP forced me to distribute my IP and RP this way. RP were also spent on all other 18 rune pages and now we are getting compensated with random skins? Riot please. I paid RP for rune pages specifically because they were RP only. Now it's coming down to some random add-on that I have no control over. That's not what I paid for when I charged my account. Sorry, but your stock example and in-game add-ons aren't quite comparable. If you can bring better example as to why Riot's decision to give different rate of refunds to that of time period when runes were bought is fair, I'll be ready to take your mockery serious. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}
You invested time into something that lost its value, and you're trying to get "equal value" of returns on something that has no value in the first place. Sorry you wasted your time grinding 1000 brain-dead bot games instead of actually just getting better at the game XD. That poor time investment is on you. Not Riot. And you're wrong: rune pages are NOT RP only. You could buy them for IP. so Riot never forced that transaction on you. If you bought runes before 2017, You got a good amount of time spent with them. You got to use them. Cool. If you bought them after 2017, you didn't get a good amount of time spent compared to your initial IP payment. Not cool. Hence the difference. I'm really sorry you feel cheated. But really. Maybe if you played 1000 normal/ranked games to get good instead of grinding for moar runes you would actually be at a respectable ranking. Oops, sorry. I guess I'm not supposed to say that. You're right man It's totally the Health seals or Scaling Armor instead of Flat Armor and the AP glyphs or Mana Regen instead of the Flat MR that totally wins you games. Totally the rune's fault. That's why you HAD to spend money on them. It has nothing to do with your gameplay and the dozens upon dozens of misplays you make within that 20 minute game XD {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}}

Because you know, you survived the first engage. By buying utility. Or just position properly and wait that extra 2-3 seconds 10% coolodowns gave you on your Q (that's prob generous on the seconds too)... and its 35% more ap not 30%.... Buy more dmg blow up that gap closing rengar when he shows his face instead of trying to run away with 5% movespeed. I guess it comes down to style of play, but any veigar I see that doesn't build rab cap is not in top 3 for dmg (usually like 5-6th place for dmg if not worse), and we didn't win the game (3 games this month loss for me for veigs that don't go rab cap). But hey I guess some people try to survive and others try to delete people. "He who strikes first wins" 5% movespeed isn't gonna save you from an assassin. Youmou's ghostblade anyone?
35, 30. semantics. same thing with 5% and 10%. You know Luden's gives 10% right? Anyway. You just mad that people have different opinions as you.
: No matter how much I try to shake it, I can't get rid of this "Frienemy" feel from Kayn and Rhaast.
I always thought that each of them was confident that they would overpower the other. The banter they have with each other in the meantime is a testament to that confidence.

Any damage over 100% is wasted gold value. Same with healing, but damage values are much larger than healing values and it's also harder to heal than it is to deal damage so healing really can't overheal as often as one can over damage. So if you can one shot with a pure AP item, or one shot with an AP utility item, you're better off with the utility item because its gold value isn't curtailed at 100% health. Even if you deal more than 100% health with utility, the gold value allotted to the movement speed and the aoe (If applicable in the scenario) still applies. The problem is you guys think its overcompensating but it is not.. Vieger's ult at 25-30 min cannot one shot anything..If does what 600 dmg or so? and most champs have 1500health atleast by that time? 1500 - 600 = 900. If you are even in lane/ doing decent only a full combo at 25-30 min will kill someone that's usually with ignite.. If the game hits 40 mins and you didn't do bad, but u didn't do good.. and u didn't buy rab cap, I promise u cannot Ult - Q the adc to 0 health. I want the vieger that at 40 mins that can 1/4th health a squishy with his ult then Q two people to 3/4ths health and His W smite as many people as possible. Stun everyone, back off wait for his cooldowns then do the same thing Q 2 more people for 1/4th their health again... This cannot be done without rab cap, or you being fed and so far ahead. Only at like 50 mins and a rab cap can u just 1 shot ult someone. And true veigar players want to ~~one shot ult someone ~~ one shot Q someone.
You kniw what's better than dealing 30% more damage? Dealing damage twice. Because you know, you survived the first engage. By buying utility.

: And a whole lot of gold wasted on mana. Half the tanks use mana, and out of those is only early mana problems.
I take Frozen Heart when the enemy team isn't respecting me as the tank. Instead of Randuin's where they have to hit me to be affected by AS slow, I just get an aura (attack me!) and also I get cooldowns so I can use my skills more often (I'm CC Bot Prime, attack meee!!!!) But yeah, if you are already able to do your job of tanking the aggro, Randuin's is way better. That slow is balls to the walls crazy good.

: Teach Me : Tryndamere
When you waveclear, you shouldn't be losing farm. They aren't mutually exclusive. Push as fast as you can securely take the creeps. Save E for securing minions unless you have no good wards. Then save it to escape. As for build, I like to take Statikk Shiv, Infinity Edge, Mercurial Scimitar, Blade of the Ruined King/Bloodthirster, Boots, and Situational Item like Guardian Angel or Phantom Dancer. But then again I don't main Trynd. You should look up builds on the Internet.
: The death recap should never be assumed to be correct. It's honestly really bad and in need of a rehaul. That being said, I use the death recap to try to know what kind of damage is being dealt to me and which which is doing relatively the most (ie. Magic/Physical damage).
It's not even good for that. If you build 400 armor and 50 Magic resist, take 2000+ damage in physical but only take about 4 instances of 60-100 magic damage each, those tiny little pellets of magic damage are what shows up in the death recap LOL

: Tilt proof honor is a bit missleading. The whole "GG Wp" under it baits people...
For me, I just keep in mind who I want to honor, and then just give them any random-ass honor. "Our Miss Fortune was really funny today. Let's give her an honor." [Move mouse towards Miss Fortune banner and click anywhere] "Oh I gave her a Great Shotcalling honor. Alright." TBH the way the honor is set-up, there's no clear barrier between the different honor until you hover over the banner. But since no one's keeping track anyway (like the old honor system used to), there's really no point. Just give them any random honor, who cares.

Interesting concept, but more map-wide minigames? {{champion:72}} I'll pass.
: u won't survive in both case tbh. But randuin have a poor buildpath for now and is more costly. {{item:3068}} is still the best first item for tank most of the time.
It really isn't. The passive was nerfed so that {{item:1401}} has the same burn power. In other words, {{item:3068}} is TOTAL GARBO. It's basically the "I really need Cinderhulk's burn passive for waveclear but I didn't bring smite and {{item:3748}} is somehow not good on me" item. For like, I dunno. {{champion:32}} top or some shit
: Nah, I don't hate krugs. I hate the crimson raptors. They will mess you up early in if your champion has no sustain or high defenses. Usually, I just rush a ward on that camp as quickly as possible. And when i see the jungler going for them, I go kill him when he is low. Because they just do that much damage.
{{champion:32}} {{item:1039}} If every camp was either blue buff or raptors I would be a happy man.

I have played agasint b5 players, and b2 players. Yes compared to gold, you may think there all trash.. But bronze 5, has players who sometimes int, sometimes, afk, sometimes do not how to use summoner spells, sometimes stand still after a kill. sometimes ult in the wrong direction. > > There is a big misconception that all bronze players are equal. Some bronze players are actually new to the game, but only play rank for fun. Some bronze player are decently skilled just lack on macro knowledge. If you compare the bottom of the barrel to a layer above it, you will always find more sediment at the bottom. > > That is a true fact of life, and in gaming. Compare any competitive ranking by its worse players, the layer above will always varey vastly in skill. > > And because league works on a pyramid system. The bottom tier players are a lot more common than those who are top tier. So what the op is trying to say. If you spread it out, you can have better representation of skill I am watching Salty Teemo stream almost every day. It shows bronze and other low elo games. Anywhere ranging from Bronze 5 to silver 2 players are same. Average CS is same, waste summoners equally for no reason, do stupid dives, bad ganks, same warding. There is no difference. Anything under s2 is same. And im saying s2 because its starting ELO. Everything under is lower than when they started.
Definitely not. If this was even a sliver of truth, then you would see Bronze 5 players win streaking all the way to silver, and Silver players tilting all the way to low bronze. But that almost never happens, because the skill difference is massive. Even the bans are different. In Bronze they ban Garen. GAREN.
: Honor tracked gone, sucks, cured no toxicity but added more.
They said they have some compensation or something for the honor system going away. Overall, you're just salty you lost a few useless points. At least now you get free shit.

: Probably too late to the party, but your local ori main is here w her own anecdotes: I have never NOT fed against Talon, Zed and Ekko. I can't ever seem to 100-0 them quickly enough and I'm just way too squishy. Pick someone with burst and even a fraction more sustain than her. Her ult is on an insanely low cooldown, especially once she gets her cdr up. if you're playing someone squishy, it's going to kill you. If you're not, it's going to secure a kill for her teammates. Always assume her ult is up and stay the FUCK away from her until you see her use it. Even if it means people spam pinging enemy missing, it's never worth feeding the Orianna. I would say most importantly, don't get hit by her E. Getting hit by her E is entirely your fault, to be honest. The thing's slow as hell and moves in a straight line! If you're playing someone who counters her, she's likely going to play passive and farm for hours. DON'T LET HER. She's a painfully average champ until she gets her {{item:3165}} , so bully the hell out of her and stall her as long as possible. It should seem like obvious advice, but only getting a morello 18 minutes in is devastating. TLDR don't 1v1 her when she gets morello, bully the living hell out of her until she does, then beg for ganks lol (or take her up for yourself, once you get a feel for the ball she's super engaging and fun as hell)
Any advice is welcome, late or not. Thank you

I don't get it. What is this thread even about. Are you saddened that you got a lowly plat-peak player on your team? Are you a bronzie shitting his pants over the plat rating you happened to check (for God knows why you need to know your opponent's ranks)? What should change about the gameplay/ What should be done about the situation? Or are you just complaining on Gameplay Boards?

: PSA: Tanks should build warmong's armor after getting your first 2 major resist items
No, because 1) {{item:3193}} gets you way more bang for your buck and 2) why the fuck would the Tank just leave the teamfight This is why Garen is bad {{item:3070}} {{champion:86}} {{item:3070}}
: So, the way i do it is i buy Chilling Smite(Have been looking at Challenging, but i like Chilling), then i build a Tiamat, finish my jungle item, then get boots. I usually go Cinderhulk because the majority of the time my team doesnt have a tank, so i am forced to go tanky Warwick, unless the Cinderhulk doesnt really matter in terms of tankiness. If it doesnt, then i will start building Bloodrazor. Also, League of Graphs' ten build paths(Most Popular, Highest Winrate) all have Cinderhulk with either Chilling or Challenging. Would love to hear your opinion on it, though :)
I never use build websites, so I could be wrong. I always personally test my builds, and I find Cinderhulk always makes my teamfight power piss poor. I prefer Bloodrazor because AA+Q tacks on an extra 8% max health magic damage by itself. In this current lifesteal / damage reduction meta, Cinderhulk's damage is really not enough. Admittedly, however, my build is very high risk. If you fall behind, you're downright fucked. That's because I end up building 2 damage items before any tank {{item:1419}} {{item:3748}} Although when I fall behind I typically go {{item:3065}} or {{item:3742}} 2nd item... My items usually look wonky for a while. {{item:1419}} {{item:3077}} {{item:1001}} {{item:1036}} {{item:2055}} {{item:3211}}
: How much CS do you think i should aim for to get those S ranks?
Personal preference, but I would switch your Cinderhulk enchant with a Bloodrazor. You can farm so much faster and deal more damage overall. Cinderhulk makes me feel more like I taped sparklers to my chest rather than having bought something that emanates a conflagration. The one thing you have to note, however, is your clear will be marginally slower until you either finish Bloodrazor or buy Tiamat. Recurve bow is not as good of a jungling item as Bami's Cinder.
: The last two games ive played on him, ive only died three times. I gotta do some really risky shit to get my team ahead in ranked, and most of the time if i die and one of our carries get 2+ kills for it, Im usually pretty happy
That's good. Don't worry about S rank. It comes eventually. Usually by luck. Keep in mind again, winning is more important. You have the right idea.
