: udyr was in his very first provisionals and started with (and most probably still has) silver mmr. he has only played around 10 games so far. tryndamere has a 55% winrate and he was in his promos to silver 4. also im fairly certain half the people on the boards hates how MMR works, especially in a team game, but its the least biased system we have.

(Also I'm a total sucker for compliments) The process is not limited to interactions, so for instance, Aatrox has frankly less "Move" lines than I am comfortable with-- but he has more interactions with top laners than any champion previously made. (Aatrox will be introducing a new type/category of line for league, which I think people will like.) In general, we have "general line minimums" for a script. So a champ has at least: 25 Move lines (triggered when clicking to move greater than 900 units), 15 LongMove lines (triggered when leaving base, mid tower is up, and clicking greater than 900 units), 25 Attack lines etc... Then based on the position a champion plays you may have other minimums too. (So a character designed as a split pusher might have lines for destroying towers, while a support might have lines for placing wards.) Now once you've filled in those core minimums you might have specific gameplay needs. (Kled yelling Charge!, Sion yelling Cowards!" etc...) Then finally, you have "X"number of lines left. This is where you use lines for "misc other stuff" e.g. lore, jokes, alleviating player pain (i.e. Zoe groaning "Darn it" when she misses a long Q) This is where the writer prioritizes and makes judgement calls. (For instance, maybe you have a targonian character that has some lines for Taric... the lines are super funny.. but your character is a midlaner. Is it better to have lines for someone they might actually lane against? Hmmm -there isn't a right answer.) I remember writing a line or two for Vlad... but I honestly don't remember if it got culled. (As Vlad is mostly a mid-laner and Aatrox is mainly a top-laner.) I will say Aatrox really, really, **really** hates Zoe. (He as a very good reason too hate her-- but also I like to make fun of my, and the designer's previous champs).

There is absolutely no value to the new changes, they're an extremely hard nerf that make Rammus, previously a decently-powered situational champ, completely unplayable. Far and away the most mis-guided rework I've seen since I started league

: You still get faced primarily against Bronze 3 and some Bronze 4s. By the time you break the 50 LP mark in Bronze 2 it should balance out. In Bronze - Gold it seems pretty normal for your division to be pretty meaningless because it rarely lines up with your MMR. When you hit each tier mark it starts to balance out and then it goes out of sync again as you go since losses at S5 0 LP won't drop you for a long time as far as badges go but your MMR can get down to B3, which means by the time you hit S4 it is possible to only have B1 MMR with the way it currently works. Bronze in the same way, if you EVER hit Bronze 5 it will make your division be off by a division or 2 until you hit S5. Usually around B2 or B1 you'll start to feel the pain since your gains will be bad from having low MMR. Fight through it and it will get better.

Seriously, wtf is going on with this? It's just continuing now, I'm getting 18 for wins and 20 for losses... i was on a 90% win rate streak of 20+ games and then it just flipped my lp for no reason

: How much lp were you receiving for wins/losses before during your climb? My best guess is that although you've been on a hot streak, you were on a bit of a loss streak before that. So your mmr was tanked from all of your losses, and only now after your win streak has it gotten back to average for your elo. While your last 20 games or so you've had an 80% winrate, you're still only at a 51% winrate overall in ranked.
I was getting 21 and 22lp per win before. I was on a major loss streak before I started climbing, basically I bottomed at bronze 5 0 lp and started getting pretty cavalier bc that's the lowest I could go. I think I lost like 17/20 or something like that. So it just took that long, way after my win streak started, for my mmr to respond?

: Road to Pre-Season: Assassin Update
Are we going to be able to buy more than one pink ward then? Pink wards right now are used either a) to put in an unlikely-to-be-checked bush so it'll grant vision as long as possible or b) to detect a champion that just stealthed in combat. There's no cross over. So if our only stealth detection is going to be from tracking stealth champions with our placed pinks, we're going to need to be able to place way more of them
