: Nerfing his armor made sense, tho. Sylas has the problem that many newer champions have... he was too good at basically everything. Healing, shielding and execute for strong all ins, great waveclear, mobility and hard CC. Sylas on release basically had no weaknesses whatsoever. And the fact that he is able to steal and use every enemy ultimate against themselves on top of all that. __________________ What Riot is trying to do now is giving Sylas a niche.... they want him to be effective in specific scenarios, but weak in others. And it seems the niche they are trying to make him fit into is as an anti-AP-pick. They already changed his general shield into an AP shield instead. Now they are lowering his armor, but leave his MR untouched. With all this, Sylas becomes potent in AP match ups, but is vulnerable against AD champions.
Kass and Veigar are both anti-mage champs as well, doesn't mean they're complete garbage vs. melee tho. Honestly they just need to trim some of the power out of his kit by simply removing some of the abilities he has. Maybe remove the heal, maybe the shield, etc. That's the way to fix him. Gutting his armor seems like a lazy and slapdash way of simply removing him from pro play.

Well at least that was as a consequence of a rework...this is just gutting his armor so he straight-up can't survive in the jungle.
