: Sylas looking good to women, doesn't make him a pretty boy. Being a pretty boy, makes someone a pretty boy. Aphelios, Ezreal? Pretty boys. Sylas? No. He's just an attractive guy. He has a rough shaven look, and a focus on his pecs. He's not Bishonen. Aphelios and Ezreal are Bishonen. https://imgur.com/umjMOlM.png[] That's what Ezreal and Aphelios look like. Sylas don't fit that. To be fair, Sett doesn't really fit either and I was mostly joking, but he still fits more than Sylas. And dear god don't even get me started on League's resident Fabio.
Talking about his potential for a boy band, not pretty boy status.

: Why is there such item discrepancy between AD/Armor and AP/MR Items?
QSS is supposed to aid in combating mages, as they're the ones most reliant on long cd CC. Malz, Annie, Veigar, Zoe etc. Zhonyas is less beneficial here because stasis just let's their skills come back up. An Armor cleanse/Tenacity item would be helpful against Renekton or Pantheon but you already get Tabivand Frozen Heart/Bramble. Would be nice against Warwicks though, but he still does magic damage so QSS saves quite a bit. You also can get Tenacity from runes if you see a CC heavy team that you'll need armor for

Not the argument he was making. You said Sona cant be in a band because she cant sing. But she **is** in a band, so that doesn't stop her. Yasuo doesn't sing in GIANTS either, so Aphelios could always just play 5 instruments and stay quiet. Yknow, like 40-80% of most bands (albeit one at a time, not all 5 instruments played by one guy at various points in the song)
: I personally dislike that it feels like future skin releases are now dictating champion design, but well...
They have been ever since Illaoi and Taliyah's failed launches. Seasons 4-6 as a whole steered away from non-traditional design and the only profitable one of the bunch ended up being Jinx. Ekko has more recently received a ton of popularity and 2-3 skins, but I'm not sure exactly what changed there. 1. {{champion:268}} 2. {{champion:421}} 3. {{champion:432}} 4. {{champion:420}} 5. {{champion:203}} 6. {{champion:223}} 7. {{champion:163}} 7 champions you could count on one hand how many skins theyve received in the last 3 years. Kai'sa should've been more mutated or monstrous. Sett should have been a giant bat monster. Neither of these are going to happen ever again because Riot is only going to design sexy shirtless champions from now on because they make bank and somehow, Kindred and Taliyah *didnt*.

: ...Sylas can go die in a hole. He's one, not a pretty boy, two an emotionally abusive jackass.
Sylas' in-game dance is literally a stripper dance. Also, he was designed by women, for women. He's aesthetically pleasing on purpose, basically the gender reversed Miss Fortune. Who, by the way, is also a manipulative and abuse bitch. Not even mentally or physically, but sexually and physically as well with a body count - dead or bedded, or both - she lost track of long ago. Of course, MF Isnt in a girl group but, Evelynn. And its not like Akali or Ahri have amazing reputations either.
: Please tell me the Ruined King is the next "Solo Laner".
Not very likely; Riot has been asked before, especially in reference to Treeline (RIP :( ) but the stance was, "The Ruined King is going to be feautred in League... eventually. More likely as a Raid-boss like Baron than a Champion though." or someting to that effect. Of course, given the time scale of game development, it's possible TRK: A LoL Story was at least discussed and planned at that time and THATS what they meant, or that the idea came later. So I'm guessing it'll end up like a Trillion: God of Destruction situation where the name on the cover is the final boss, and thats where we meet The Ruined King. Inside of LoL itself, there's less hope. Especially since Shadow Isles turns off Chinese investors pretty bad, so Riot's been slowly stripping it out of League but is free to make related content in side-games and published content they dont directly make.
Galiö (NA)
: I dont see how a heal on his ult would fit thematically, make sense for Galio to build into since he is gated from ulting a lot, or would be healthy for Galio to help others with a heal since he already offers a good amount to a team. Rare instance would be like when redemption Galio was the best support path and he would give a heal buff with that I guess, but still seems very weird for the champion.
I just dont think Galio should trigger Aftershock AND damage someone with forced-movement ability at the same time, leading to a situation where he becomes momentarily tanky, then suddenly deals a lot damage and before you get to react you take damage again? Veigar's E doesn't do large amounts of damage either, and it *shouldn't* because its a huge AoE CC. Only thing is, Veigar is a burst mage and galio is not. Strip damage from his kit, strip synergy with *more* damage from him, remove the "cast on allies" and add back some defensive utility (like the "allies in the landing zone heal whenever Galio takes damage" idea, or restoring the resistances) but shorten the range significantly so its like a short-range Redemption that Galio teleports to instead of doing true damage
: ***
So give her a giant weapon. Make her a machine. Urgot's barely even human, his physical gender (which is pretty irrelevant given he lost the lower half of his body anyway) doesn't make the shotguns hurt anymore or make a meat grinder any less lethal. Illaoi is a giant as thick as trees and even as a teenager towered over the men around her. Is she as muscular as Braum? Not really, but thats what she likes about him. League of Legends is a game with a 4 foot tall rat with a crossbow, a dude who made his entire body into a machine, a walking slime ball, a woman who can turn into a FUCKING SPIDER, an entire race of tiny fairies (oh, and Poppy happens to be a 'tiny fairy' girl, while also being tankier than GAREN) and a little boy riding a yeti. Are you telling me "Young boy" invokes more feeling of durability and fighting than an adult woman who may or may not have swords for legs?
: My ideal new female type of champ.
This is exactly why I want a soft-rework to Leona to let her proc her own Sunlight - Leona, Sejuani, and Illaoi are the beefiest female champions in the game and we desperately need more. "Female Juggernaut" (although the term didnt exist at the time) was why i loved old Rek'Sai (and Leona) as much as I do. *Women are more than just pretty dolls.*

Nunu had one or two mini-rework changes before his eventual VGU so I dont think Shaco's priority will have decreased (much)

: Well his synergy with that item was from season 2 when it was a very different item. Either way I like when they added the damage so it's kind of like his old ult in that regard; and while yes his old ult had 50% damage reduction it was far less interesting (or unique) than his W which provided bonus armor/mr and the on damage heal. All I'm asking for is that on-damage heal because that (on top of the bonus defenses) would end up being too much in the end and harder to mitigate. Maybe give a reason for spirit visage to maximize tankiness and give a reason for enemies to build magic pen and/or grevious wounds against Galio. Riot is actively trying to stay closer to champion during reworks at this point and I think that's been generally more successful and less controversial while still increasing popularity. I just wish they would go back and fix some reworks that drastically changes almost everything about a champion (Galio being the worst offender in the largest visual change and the most drastic gameplay change, just slightly above aatrox who atleast looks similar to what he used to)
Eh, he was synonymous with te item (as was Veigar) back in season 5 and early 6; I started playing around that time, got Gatekeeper and played a lot of Galio where I could and Athenes was insane on him. Right now the item is severely underrated, and if Galio gets a way to properly use it (healing allies) it could become core again.
Galiö (NA)
: I'm just here to post about Galio having an on damage heal in place of his DR on his W. I've been feeling extra sad about it lately so my frequency has increased.
No no no no, keep the DR. Remove the **damage**. Why does his W damage anything, it's a taunt! I know Shen's Shadow Dash does, but Rammus' doesnt so its not a required mechanic for a taunt. Removing damage from Galio and giving him in-combat sustain makes him more appropriate for a tank, and if the on-damage heal scales with his MR it gives him more incentive to build MR like he used to. Plus, maybe there can be a way for the effect to go on allies, **finally reviving Galio's synergy with {{item:3174}}** after almost 3000 years
: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: December 13
So why exactly *did* Senna and Sett come out when they did? I would've guessed, as a player whos been around since 2015, the next champ after Senna would be late Nov/mid Dec and Sett wouldve been mid Jan at the earliest; And usually theres VGUs in the mix here. Judging by 'getting it right over hitting perfect deadlines' (which is very commendable, and I wish GameFreak and Bethesda treated their games this way); Champions like Yuumi and Senna were delayed for weeks beyond intended release dates and Morde, Sett, etc finished quite early with more simple kits and experienced designers leading to a shorter-than-projected development?
Infernape (EUW)
: I mean don't you guys think the problem with Sylas is in his itemisation itself? He's a AP fighter without the itemisation to exist, meaning he's forced to have ridiculous amounts of shielding and healing in his kit and be stuck in a limbo where he builds AP and durability and deals peanut damage, or builds flat AP and pen and explodes because he needs to be in the thick of a fight to work.
Riot: "We're gonna update the item shop, remove unnecessary stuff, find a better spot for Ohmwrecker's name, and update AP Bruiser items! Here's some work we did on Rod of Ages and Haunting Guise." Also Riot: "We cancelled all of that and put Ohmwrecker in the absolute worst spot imaginable. Honestly we just hate the name."

: We're not expected to stay and try to win the game. That is why Riot provides a forfeit option. It's meant to be used when the game is agreed to not be worth playing. Within the context of the match it was very obvious that our ADC did not d/c for technical reasons. That ADC took it upon themselves to decide the game was unwinnable for our team. The players that advocated for my reporting ended up intentionally voting no to this option at the vocalized dismay of both the one other player on our team that wasn't being toxic and the rest of the opposing team. Which again, despite all but two players on the map wanting to concede the game, I get suspended for wanting to concede it under the same circumstance only sooner. Their behavior was more damaging and toxic than my inting. These players that advocated for my reporting began mocking me as soon as our ADC d/c'd, before I started inting. They couldn't blame him so they turned to the weakest player on our team, the jungle that had their starting buff stolen by the ADC. I imagine that disagreements on when to FF are the leading contributor to reports filed. It is absurd that Riot would allow the community to punish each other with suspensions for disagreements of their own subjective reasoning, in casual matches. Ultimately it allows for toxic players to hold games hostage and punish others. It forces players to sit through hour long matches that were decided five minutes in all while being verbally berated for something they didn't do, or risk suspension. It is broken and has no place in unranked modes. I'm not even upset that my account is suspended as I don't play this game often enough to care. But I feel obligated to call out Riot for both enabling and rewarding toxic behavior.
You are absolutely the one who decided to make the game unwinnable by deliberately sabotaging 5 games in a row, and decisions to do so were made at the start of the game. There is no reason or fault that can be found in anyone else's performance in those 5 games. If you do not want to play League, please do everyone else a favor and **just do not play.** If this is instead, your idea of playing an online multiplayer game, then I *strongly* suggest you seek out a therapist or expanding your social circles because something is very definitely wrong with your perspective and social skills. I repeat; *Stop playing games if you don't like them.*

Yes because unless players pick up on heavy Tank metas or Sejuani gets picked, Trundle is not allowed to exist because of how he functions when Sejuani and tanks ARE picked.
: Im starting to believe That this nightmare call Akali is Just gona last for ever As mele champ.
You realize she was even less balanced before her rework right? Reverting her R and giving her sustain on the passive would still be a huge improvement though; Current : >85 / 150 / 215 (+ 50% bonus AD) + 75 / 145 / 215 (+ 30% AP), tripled up to 225/435/645(+90% AP) on low health targets Old: >50/85/120 (+25% AP), up to 3 times; gains recovers 1 charge every 30/22.5/15 seconds. Old R was single target though, while current is AoE and can be used to escape. Not to mention it has a movement interrupt (microstun) and ASSASSINS SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY CC Its possible that Five-Point Strike just does way too much damage, but Akali being able to use her shroud to *gain* energy is just absurd and defeats the entire purpose of having a resource bar. Keep the rest of her kit in tact besides the R, put healing on her passive and change W to "Costs 60/55/50/45/40 energy"
: Sett is trite and uninspired
He's supposed to be a Vastaya? But how? And if he is, why does he not have a bat face like his calling card?
: > Sett is unoriginal... Define "unoriginal"? Because as far as I see, there's plenty original about him. - Rather than using hugeass weapons as a Juggernaut, he uses his fists. - He's an underground pit-fighter, which is an interesting thematic. Sure, we've had gladiatorial fighters in the past (Xin Zhao, Alistar), but none like Sett. - Character-wise, he's a momma's boy with a chip on his shoulder and an eagerness to make his place in the world through fighting. - Additionally, lore-wise he gives us a look into the darker side of post-Noxus Ionia that we haven't seen yet. Where Zed, Akali, Karma, Irelia, and Jhin give a look into how the people, the orders, and the government are handling the fallout of the Noxian invasion, Sett shows us a side of Ionia that's craving violence after the war. Are there some things that _are_ unoriginal about him? Sure. He's another big, imposing dude with a square chin and plenty of muscle. He's another self-confident, "I can do anything" guy with badditude. But it ain't like he's totally unoriginal. > ...yet another Vastayah that looks nothing like an animal. Well, first of all, there's no rule that says that Vastaya can't be largely human in appearance with some basic animal semblances. Look at Ahri, Xayah, & Rakan. The Lhotlan are largely humanoid, with their silhouettes punctuated by raptor-like legs, feather tufts on the arms, and tall, furred ears - not to mention the possibility that their feather cloaks are natural. And then you have Ahri, who's literally just a woman with fox ears and fox tails. And second of all; _**Sett is half-Vastaya.**_ He's even more diluted than the descendants of Vastayashai'rei, and it's only natural that he loses some of that animal semblance due to his mixed parentage. He still has tufts of fur around his wrists and short, furry ears, but he's not going to look as much like an animal as a Lhotlan or a Marai - and definitely nothing like Rengar or Wukong.
Im glad Lee-- I mean, We finally got a **Vi**st-using Juggernaut and not An**udyr**-- Another, I mean - heavy weapon guy. That would be boring.
: >Imagine you queue jungle in a Normal game, your ADC takes your starting red buff, your bottom then wipes within the first five minutes followed by your ADC immediately D/C'ing for the remainder of the game, and you get your account suspended. None of those events you described would result in your account being suspended. The punishments are only for your actions, not others. >I understand that the reporting system is overall healthy for Ranked play, but players in casual should not be punished for being forced into overly-lengthy matches that are not what they queued into. There is no 4v5 queue and the casual community shouldn't have to endure corrective action for not wanting to play it. >I know that Riot can implement filters to review chat logs when deemed necessary and efficiently ban offensive players. Enjoyment from a 4v5 is purely subjective and players shouldn't be punished for having a different opinion. You haven't mentioned what exactly you were banned for. But regardless of your punishment you're responsible for your behavior. If you want people to give an opinion specifically on your punishment then you're going to need to give the details such as chat logs (in the case of chat behavior punishment) or match history link (in the case of intentional feeding/trolling). As well as saying if you've had any punishments in the past, because the system assigns more harsh penalties to those that have been punished recently.

Nice opinion, doesn't change the fact that you dont see a login screen if you dont want to anymore, so there's no point to making them. They can just do backgrounds on the client, but it does mean losing champ themes. Long term Urgot players can now buy skins for him, as Urgots player retention is among the highest of all VGUs ever, and at peak popularity was near that of most ADCs and Yasuo. So yes, I do think they have a team specifically designed to make the animations and artworks to every champion, login screen and their skin splash arts. And I do remember, when Morde and Yuumi came out someone made a post specifically addressing the low effort in login screens lately and one rioter came out and apologized for that too, yet since they were not from the same team, they couldn't make any promises.
Login screens were phased out deliberately because *you don't have to login anymore.* Since you can be always-on now, login screens have no purpose.

: I approve & support any & all champion reverts. Reworks are quite literally Rito giving their customers a fat middle finger & saying "We know what you want better than you do." Which is actually a line Rito Game has genuinely said before, unironically. Spoiler alert: Rito doesn't know what we want at all. Rito Game loses customers every time a rework goes Live. A fact they are aware of.
Thats why Urgot's playerbase is something like 50x larger than before, Sion and Urgot being the most successful VGUs ever, why Poppy has single handedly generated millions of dollars and thousands of players to League, why Taric is by far a more appealing champion and has drawn in players as well, and why Riot has graphs detailing the patch-to-patch play stats of champions and how most VGUs trend significantly up and to the right. Every patch that releases a VGU are some of Riot's biggest patches in both terms of revenue and in terms of concurrent player counts. Reworks get people playing League and, more importantly, spending money on it in large quantities. They quite literally, fund this game.

: Just bring back old Aatrox and make NewTrox his own Darkin champion. Done!
Riven becomes a Darkin, the only suitable nightmare for a treacherous murderer like her. Good.
: Well in my opinion, Aatrox still does have things from his old kit and playstyle, they're just not one-to-one. He still has his sweet-spot knock up that previously was attached to his old dash. He's still a drain-tank, just one focused on abilities instead of autos (albeit his passive auto heals him). His ult is still an enhancer ult, but instead of AS and Range, it gives MS, AD and increased drain tanking. Regardless of what you call it though, I can agree with the sentiment that the Rework went too far, to the point where yeah, you could call it anything but a rework.
his R was by far *the biggest problem*. It does nothing. It did not represent his Harbinger theme, it did not inspire allies into war because it did not benefit allies in any way. It, still, does nothing to suit his design except... what, fear nearby minions so that you can poke people without minion aggro on you? Wow, i'd rather just get a shield that boosts my AD. Garbage Ult.

People enjoy the auto-attack play style, and while it can use work to overcome his afk-melee (Which kinda makes you look biased against melee autoattackers when you say it like it), it's not impossible. Like I said, I like new Aatrox better right now as do you, but we're not the people affected. The old mains of Aatrox are, a far greater percentage than any other reworked champion. Aatrox had NO MAINS. Like 3 people in the entire world played him. Most of the people complaining? Havnt played more than 10 games of old Aatrox. One of the reasons Aatrox and Urgot got reworks is because literally no one played them.
Objectively false my dude. Aatrox had more people playing him than Ivern does, more people playing him than old Urgot did, more than old Poppy, etc. The only champ to be drastically reworked this bad with a bigger playerbase were Morde and Sion, and nobody in their right mind is ever going to complain about losing the old versions of these guys. (That, and most of Sion's old kit was salvaged albeit in a vastly different coat of paint.)
: Riot has acknowledged that they may have strayed too far in VGU'ing Aatrox, isolating him from his original playerbase. That said, as sad as it may be, that makes Aatrox a lesson to be learned from, not something to be reverted.
If Kayn lost his form changing mechanic, couldnt walk through walls anymore, and his R was just a generic 'i go untargetable but then do a bunch of damage' and was a bad version of Yasuo instead of ever being his own champion, You'd be crying for reverts. Aatrox needs to be VGUd to get his old identity and gameplay back. Recycle the abilities as a Riven update, god knows the bitch needs her kit remade anyway.

Why does he get a special pass?
Old Aatrox looked fine, enough that Riot originally claimed they were just going to update his abilities, and leave his model in-tact. Instead, Aatrox got Galio'd, the character straight up removed and some other shameless hack (pun intended) put in his place for no reason. New Aatrox is LITERALLY better off being a Riven rework than an Aatrox VGU. Galio lost a lot, Urgot mostly just lost his Q missile spam (HKPR was a huge part of why no one played him; If not for the awful model, old Urgot would've still been better off having the death rocket and losing HKPR entirely. That skill made 0 sense, had little use, and could potentially have a champion use a similar mechanic to it, but that champion was not Urgot.) We could still see a version of Urgot where the focus is on his Q instead of W; reverting the Rank 5 W Toggle and instead reducing the CD on his Q to 1 second (0.55 at max CDR), letting it apply On-hit, and giving Urgot autos (including W) mana refund to targets hit by Q or R. Sure thats minor-rework level, but it would be a revival of old Urgot. Galio E can't really be changed to the old Bulwark, nor can Winds of War be replaced with the eye lasers OR the Wind Gust ability, and even if they did the champion is no longer the sorrowful, flying and lonely gargoyle because Statue of Superman was cooler in Riot's bought-by-Marvel story writers' minds. Not to mention the terrible Ultimate, which now does nothing. Galio cant heal or speed up allies, losing all of the utility he's supposed to have in exchange for ... 3 forms of hard CC and massive AoE damage. Nor can Aatrox have any of his abilities replaced with the old versions - Although Dark Flight needed significant changes to how clunky and unresponsive it could be and his old E needed a Heimer rockets aiming model. Old aatrox failed to deliver on his theme, so the rework was justified... but this still doesn't deliver on that theme and his old R **is the same fucking problematic, ball of stats boring Ult from before** but somehow Riot hasnt fixed this. Remove Aatrox E, give him back lasers or wings/AoE buffs. Remove Aatrox Q1 and 2, make his 3rd Q castable within 575 range, with the jump using Tristana W logic - cast time directly proportional to the distance between the caster's edge and the center of the target location. Aatrox new passive stores Blood based on his Auto attacks damage. landing abilities heals him for the amount in the blood well. W is an AD steroid that drains Aatrox' HP per swing. PASSIVE: Aatrox gains 1/2/3/4/5% attack speed per 5% missing HP while W is active Current W moved to R, now ignores minions and deals % max health damage on the pull-in. Like Rhaast-R levels of 12/18/24%(+1% per 100 total AD) max HP Fixing Aatrox or Galio requires a massive re-do from the ground up, including Voice overs and models, to make them healthier game-play wise and satisfy fans on both sides of new/old

: Opinion: Sona has been nerfed too much in ARAM
They could not be braindead and just make her W affect 2 allies at max but nah. that makes too much sense.

Water walking is better if you want to go into that route. Even on other champs it tends to be really shitty. 10 whole minutes to get 5 AD. By that time, the game could be decided, or you missed some kills. The higher elo you are, the less viable gathering storm is. The big difference between gathering storm and scaling AD reds/quints is that gathering storm only gives you AD every 10-20-30-40 minutes, instead of every 1-2 minutes. Even if you make it 10 mins in the game, another 10 minutes to gain a pretty small bonus at that point in the game. Scaling AD quints/reds were solid and probably secretly very powerful as you had the same value as flat AD reds/quints at level 6. So your 1st clear you would at least get level 3, in which you already have half your bonuses compared to taking flat. Level 6 is no time at all, usually 5-8 minutes to get, and after that you keep scaling. If you did well, you got levels fast, thus rewarding your investment very well. Not many people understand that some scaling runes were only twice as good as flat, but AD reds/quints were 3x better than flat at level 18. So you didn't need to get level 9 to be the same as if you had flats (which is pretty garbage imo).
-rvery challenger takes Gathering Storm constantly- durrr it's bad in high elo 5 ad In 10 minutes looool Except its 29 AD in 30 minutes which is right before you hit level 18 on solo laners and like 15 on bot lanes... so idk what patch you're playing.
