: All those nerfs to Galio ryze taliyah for the sake of competitive
I can think of 3 other champs that fit this description for the nerf part. Champs like: Trist, kali, and Azir. We all saw'll what the nerfs did. Then riot said they will leave these champs in their decent/good pro pick and terrible soloq pick states. Which sorta does discriminate against the players who play these champs. But I am sure there are players who hate these champs and couldnt care less. And there is the part of the player base that likes their champ bad because 100% pick chance for you. Besides that it is really all about super popular picks like ahri instead. Riot is company they need money somehow. Also, honestly there is probably more champions we are forgeting about imo.

: Nope, I've been asking about Azir for several of Meddler's post now. No answers. The balance team doesn't really care about what we have to say. Competitiveplay ruins the game. I used to main Ryze, but they nerfed him to an unplayable state. Now pros are playing Ryze again, and then they nerf his R-Zhongya play. The same with Azir nerfs just keep coming.
I mean his state is bad right now and could be better. However, I think he actually in a rather viable state at the moment. I just think that the W nerf is extremely uncalled for. Their are better ways to take down his wave clear without ruining his champion design. For example, they could make it so his soldiers do less damage to minions specifically to cut down his wave clear. They just don't want to admit they made a mistake. They just don't look in the right areas in my opinion. They would rather destroy the most important part to a champion then to weaken the side (still somewhat important) parts without destroying the champion.

: Azir mains need answers!
IKR like the boards are getting covered with this topic on azir

: As an azir main the q cooldown nerf is deserved. He really is supposed to be a late game champion and with his q cd that short it made him alittle strong. But the w nerf is a little much, azir as a champion really is a teamfighter and in the hands of someone who knows the champion, should be able to really show it by positioning and killing the target, so i see how it could be somewhat a good nerf to balance him. But to reduce his roaming with the early game w is really bad. Azir isnt a great roamer with his ult rank 1 dmg being pretty small compaired to other champions. Its really about how he uses it. This will make him useles early and in low ranks, really hard to use. I think they should atleast rethink the numbers.
My target isnt q tho. The q nerf is fine. My problem is with the w nerf. Azir is known for late game damage and aoe dps. I am also an an azir main. I want azir to be viable not unplayable. I want azir to stay true to his core machanics. They can remove the shuffle. Just not the aoe. Tbh I just want this answered. T_T

: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: January 31
The nerf to Azir seems a tad on the extreme end. It seems more like you will do anything to get him out of proplay because you are destroying his core gameplay. Azir is known for his aoe damage. Taking away Azir's aoe is like taking away yasuo's double crit chance. If your willing to take away azir's aoe this easy then why is it so hard to give zoe a decent nerf? Also, I don't know if it is just me but I think that nerf for Azir may just push him back into a nerfed to the ground state?

: > apparently one of my friends used a vpn and got 40 ping (without the vpn he had the increased ping). So Verizon is most likely throttling their connection to league of legends servers. This is not true (throttling) until you have proof. Overwatch community has some good threads tracking this, and blizzard has been officially responding. They actually suggested using VPN because there is a chance it bypasses the problem (getting to the internet backbone)
fair point. I mean I wanted to put out that someone did this someone with more knowledge could verify. I didn't think of the wording as much as I thought. So pray that somebody can verify and prove/disprove it. I don't want to personally risk breaking any rules so I won't touch a vpn and risk getting in any trouble. edit: I don't have all the rules memorized so I said "risk". (clarity) edit 2: lol I am stupid I wasn't trying to say that the "apparently one of my friends used a vpn and got 40 ping (without the vpn he had the increased ping). So Verizon is most likely throttling their connection to league of legends servers." was confirmed I was saying I can confirm the connection issues part "Can confirm (partially). East coast with Verizon fios wired to the router and averaged 29-34 ping (without spikes) and now I got around 134 ping. I have great internet and I know to wire up to the router to avoid lag spikes and such. I haven't tested other games yet tho. I hear other games are effected." this may have been a miss conception mb for not thinking about my wording.

: East Coast Latency Issue (Verizon?)
Can confirm (partially). East coast with Verizon fios wired to the router and averaged 29-34 ping (without spikes) and now I got around 134 ping. I have great internet and I know to wire up to the router to avoid lag spikes and such. I haven't tested other games yet tho. : Constant 134-134 ms
> Eastcoast Player here. My normal ping ranges aronud 25-35 ms, but these last 2 games I played it's a constant 134-135 ms. I speedtested my internet and it's definitely not my provider's end that's causing this. Anyone else having this issue? Same to all of what you said. I have Verizon fios as my isp. Today was the first time my ping went over 100 on live servers (ignores pbe because it is known for that kind of issue). Me and my friends were experiencing ping spikes at the same time. Also these spikes stopped at the same time for everyone (note that we aren't all in the same area). They are constant and long spikes T^T. edit: My state is Maryland btw (also added the quote for clarity) edit 2: My ping in league of legends has never really changed much if at all all year and it never spiked before today. When I say never I mean **never** spikes T^T. The largest it has ever changed is randomly going up or down by like 3 max. edit 3: I guess It isn't technically a spike if it lasts all game or about all game. first game I had the lag it suddenly rose early in the laning phase and ended near the end of the game. Second time it had appeared mid laning phase again but lasted rest of the game. You can image the rest. I don't consider it unplayable but it makes timing things awkward and ez to fail T^T. edit 4: Apparently one of my friends went to riot support about it. When I asked him if we used Verizon we responded with "yeah i talked to riot support its a problem with them" then said "with verizon i mean".
