Those champions are considered supports, but they generally do their own thing and set their own rhythm. Let's take Soraka for example, yes she heals you and silences, but what good is a silence if you cannot respond appropriately to take advantage of that? Soraka plays to her own tune, not to yours like Yuumi does.

: Wukong Update- Progress Report!
The changes look good but it feels like moving away from what Wukong was intended to be, a diver and great team-fighter. As someone who dropped Wukong, I think that these changes will make people think Wukong is OP instead of learning to use vision and items to deal with Wukong which will eventually lead to nerfs that hurt more than before as usual.

There is no other way to put it. Yuumi's E at max rank regains a charge every 14 seconds, urf brings this down to 2.8 seconds. Charges do not start to replenish unless they are not at the max amount. How you get ~0.4 seconds just baffles the mind.

I'll look into ways to mitigate this, but can't promise anything. * "_Wukong has mana problems._" Yep, he sure does. This is largely by design because his poke/trading pattern is fairly low counterplay. We gate this power similarly with Malphite's Q. I'll look into this, but know that it's an intended weakness of the character and buffing it would likely mean we pull damage out of his kit (which would hurt burst/assassination builds). * "_You're killing assassin Wukong_!" Not exactly. The goal is for it to remain "viable." That doesn't mean "the clear and obvious best way to build him in every game." It means you can still find success with it. And indeed, these changes are likely going to push Wukong more towards the bruiser space as his primary class and combat style. All we're committing to is that we aren't objectively denying the existence of lethality builds in the same way we did with, say, AP Master Yi (which was deemed unhealthy for the game). * "_AP on Q is bad_!" Please note that we're experimenting with giving Q bonus magic damage that scales with spell rank; NOT AP ratios. We have no intention of asking Wukong players to build Amplifying Tomes to deal damage. A huge problem is that his "unique identity" varies for many players and Rioters alike. He is at this core, a diver and his rework needs to fit this concept but in no way does with the current changes. Wukong's poke/trading pattern doesn't really have low counterplay, his damage is simply unavoidable but there is a key factor not being noted. Most abilities that can miss are nearly impossible to do so at melee range. Wukong's poke/trading pattern's weakness lies in the fact that there is only one possible approach no matter how one looks at it and by reacting properly the moment it begins, Wukong will always be outtraded. Most if not all Wukong players would disagree that decoy serves well as a hit-and-run mechanic. Decoy in no way assists in a retreat as the damage can simply be ignored as one walks past it to the area Wukong has likely fallen back to and still outtrade Wukong when he is visible. If Wukong's unique identity has been decided to be a hit-and-run style trader, then his rework needs to actually reflect that. From a Wukong player's perspective, I think the following of the current changes: Passive changes scrapped, have stone skin moved to R in some form that reworks hitting multiple targets Q range increased but only active on Q W needs to not be a double edged sword and shouldn't be able to be ignored. Allowing it to auto attack gives it a higher presence but only makes it too easy to tell it is a decoy due to the damage and the fact that it doesn't move. E changes aren't really helpful and telling yourself that is just lying to yourself.

You mean wild assassin when you want to lose. Delving into wild makes you sacrifice the 6 set bonus unless you get lucky and get a spatula. Otherwise you're basically only playing with 3 bonus which is pretty weak

I've made no presumption whatsoever, the only bias here is you, a self proclaimed mage player. Simply calling any champion with magic damage a mage does not turn that into a fact. Champions can deal magic damage, have AP ratios and still exist as a different class. To make a blanket statement is to suggest you do not play the actual game in which champions function in certain roles deemed by the players. Yes a Xerath could auto you to death if he misses his abilities, but the difference in timing and effectiveness depends on whether or not Xerath chooses safety over damage. Obviously building to focus only on abilities is much safer than building things that would increase guaranteed auto attack damage. Assassins trade much more than that safety the moment they decide to auto attack as skillshots are basically undodgeable at pointblank. Your argument is nonsensical. You are claiming that if a Veigar cannot one shot, it would be strange. Yet strange does not address the point being made. Obviously you are claiming he should one shot someone, but if he cannot, you are more or less claiming that it should not be so and that he in fact should be one shotting people. In summary, you indirectly state that mages must one shot, but do not even use mages at their core, but instead use an infinite potential champion to make your point. You've yet to bring up any champions that due adhere to what is unanimously defined as a mage in league.

Most people don't need guides and hand-holding but I suggest you get some of both. There are builds and champions that can carry without a supporting comp, more so when they are 3 starred. Not building properly negates that carry potential. Graves for example is one that can carry with double RFC

Yuumi is fine, she just requires more of the right moves to be successful and is much more unforgiving. Her playstyle more or less has stayed the same but you are actually forced to use her kit closer to its full potential to succeed now.

Swain and Vlad don't play like Veigar or Velkoz. Ahri doesn't play like Xerath or Ziggs. Catch my meaning? Moreover a Veigar might be able to blow you up if he combos out on you, but a Swain would have to whittle you down first. Also, unlike assassins mages can't just auto you to death if they miss their skills. Plus mages have existed in every game since.. forever... and it's not destroyed other games by their existence. That's like saying "we can only have warriors because archers are unfair!" If anything the most game warping class by a mile is the assassin class, because they are basically playing a different game from everyone else.

Mages do play like assassins in the aspect of demanding they must one shot their target the moment they land even an inch of CC in their kit. Obviously not every mage plays the exact same as they have different kits, but the point remains that if a mage cannot one shot, they are generally considered useless. Swain and Vlad are considered drain tanks rather than mages while Xerath is basically in his own artillery class. You claim mages can't auto you to death if they miss their skills but that is obviously false. Choosing safety over additional damage is a choice, not a restriction. Assassins function on heavy single target burst and massive mobility, traits which are not meant to be inherent to mages.
