It was not healthy for the game. But everyone getting stuns/slows/knockbacks instead is so much healthier, right?
The issue was the three champs mentioned was that it left no opportunity to retaliate. LB and Kass could silence you, drop their damage and dash out before the silence ended and once Talon had you low enough you were dead before the silence ended.
: Yes this would be reasonable he needs a buff anyways they could use his E for that maybe even make it less conditional but stronger when charged ltes say needs 1 spell cast in vincinity before he can use it but it'd be a weak slow 2th charge bit more damage bit more slow 3th charge a grounded is added 4th charge more damage bit more slow and final charge the grounded would be a silence kassadin is really weak right now so something liek this would make him more interesting as in do wait for a stronger E or do i go ham now its risky because they might get away if you don't use it charging it up gives good damage and good cc this would make kassadin more viable again i think
The only way Riot could reasonably give him a silence back is by making it so he can't blink in, silence you and do his damage and blink out before the silence ends. Basically they would have to hard nerf his ult for this.
: For the Assassin Rework can you remove the Kassadin Joke?
But it makes even more sense now than before. Especially if you knew he once had a silence. It just fits lol.

But more often if you are wanting to harass him, just use your Vorpal Spikes as you CS, when you go for a minion, make sure that Yas is on the other side and you should often nail both the minion and him, keeping his shield from being of any use. I almost wish Riot would give the people back their broken queue just to get the crybabies to quit whining. -_-
: Yes, I do agree. That's why the first order of business should be to strengthen Riot-community interaction. Riot just needs to be posting more threads basically.
They are actually pretty vocal if you check the Red Tracker. The issue falls from the fact that people want specific answers and often the Red who is not busy and can post in threads is RARELY the person to ask about that topic. Meanwhile the person who would know said answer is either busy on a project or has already forsaken these boards due to the unbridled hate that some Rioters get.
: What is so difficult about understanding the value of a fair playing field?
There are some ways Riot could implement some fixes to DQ, we'll just have to see if they go for it or not. Either way, doubt everyone will be happy, no one ever is lol.
MrHaZeYo (NA)
: Idk man, I think the idea of DQ is way better than SoloQ. Who cares what your SoloQ rank is in a team oriented game. SoloQ basically puts the idea of solo mindedness into the game. This isn't Call of Duty, you need to play for your team the best way to do that is with a team of people you trust. Win or Lose you don't turn on each other, you practice and get better. You can't do that with SoloQ. I feel most people who complain about DQ are people with no friends to play with. It's like we need some way to bring these people together to make them a team.
In ideal perhaps, but in it's current iteration, it's meh.

Some issues sure, but whether or not that would be enough, idk. Right now, if I had the rig for it, I'd be trying to rank up. If they went back to solo queue though, I'd be wary because of some of the BS I've dealt with in ranked. Started in S3, played a little over 30 ranked games since then, trying it out to see if things might have changed. Every time though, trolls, ragers, tilters, not a single game was fun because someone decided to just screw over everyone else whether they had a reason or not. Every match was one sided because the other team always had one or more people who just wanted to make the game suck. The sheer level of toxicity was abhorrent. One thing though, with the new champ select, I don't have to worry about getting stuck with ADC, telling the team I'm not good with the role, and proceed to get flamed and reported because I'm actually not good with the role. =/

Why some people think that premades should be matched against higher ranked solo players. Pit their teamwork against people that have the skill to actually test them.

: The best possible decision that could be made, would be a decision that would make every single person happy...your logic is incredibly flawed.
Not really, you have to consider from what angle you look at a decision. Riot often has to make decisions based upon facts and figures, based around their own balance ideals. Often times groups of players will disagree with these decisions based solely upon their own feelings with little caring as to numbers or facts. While Riot does try to take the feel of a situation into consideration, at the end of the day they cannot make decisions based solely upon feelings. Why? Because opinions change and majority feelings can shift quickly and easily, meaning you might never be able to catch up and always fail. Case in point. Towards the end of last season, there were a lot of complaints that the games were lasting too long. As a result, Riot took measures to speed up games so players could jump around quickly from one game to another without having to slug it out through an hour long match. First few months of S6 proceeded with the boards flooded with complaints about the game being decided too quickly with little chance for comebacks and more whining about snowballing than I've seen in over a year. TLDR; the players don't always know what is right, so no, you can't always please everyone.
srix17 (NA)
: I honestly don't know why people are saying that {{champion:107}} and the other assassins should be reworked. Their class (assassins) says it all, they kill the carries before they become more of a problem throughout the match. I understand that getting killed instantly by an assassin is irritating, but it's who they are along with their kits. Not only that but they can be countered, like every other champ in the game. Things like making be far behind becoming useless or just pure cc. It really isn't complex. If you don't like playing against them just simply either ban them (draft mode), make them become useless by killing them, or just don't play at all. I've seen it almost every match, "That is too OP", when it all depends on the person who plays the champ. There is literally no need for people crying like such little children when it's just a stupid game. I don't understand why people take this game way to serious. Assassins are the counter source to adc's. They've been nerfed to the point where people don't really play them, it's either because they main the champ or just playing for fun. It doesn't matter if the champion is healthy or not. I'm sure you all know that the current meta is tank with cc. There is absolutely no need for these changes just because people get rekt by assassins and start bursting into tears over a fed assassin. You either have to grow up and deal with it or uninstall if you can't handle assassins. And you do realize that in order for an assassin to immediately delete someone, they need to snowball. In other words, when playing an assassin you either destroy or get destroyed. If you get one shoted well sucks to be you. Don't be crying to Riot for getting your ass handed to yourself and demand things to be changed. If you're one of those people who rage after being killed so many times let me tell you this, shut up, you suck, grow up, move on. Losing to a fed assassin isn't the end of the world people, open your eye and see that it's just a game and stop complaining. Get the assassin behind, if that doesn't work then group and work as a team to deal with it. No matter if it's ranked or normal, either deal with it or uninstall and play another game that pleases you. And please, just shut up and play the stupid game instead of raging on chat or complaining to riot because it's seriously annoying. {{sticker:zombie-brand-facepalm}} {{sticker:zombie-brand-facepalm}}
The champion update in the case of assassins is to increase game health. Aka to allow for more/better counterplay than what currently exists which is simply not fair to many players. That is the simple why. Agree or not, it is why it's happening, and it is happening.

: Don't start. I can take out the "Encyclopedia of Riot's Imbecile Decisions" and you will see for yourself. I will say a few words to sum it up, since you seem to think this one controlled instance doesn't prove it. ADC REWORK AND FOUR MONTHS. It took Riot almost five months to work on the over-buffed ADC champions, abilities, and items. Riot essentially broke the game and made it to where ADC and bruisers were being played in every lane. Eat, snap, crackle, and tongue pop that moment in time. That is just one example of their horrible decisions and not listening to player feedback. OH LET'S ALSO ADD RELEASING THE LAST AND ONLY EVENT THEMED SKINS IN OCTOBER ON NOVEMBER . . . . 2ND OR 3RD. Great job Riot games. Great lazy and stubborn work ethic.
And fail. While a small number of ADC were overbuffed, the ADC update overall was a massive success. But to put it simply, you failed from the beginning. >you guys really dont listen to the community at all. There is proof they listen. They may not always go with our ideas, but there is more than enough proof that they listen. Whether or not you want to admit that you're overreacting, that's your call, but I've said enough.

It might actually work. The only downside is that you don't have any magic pen and you might end up dealing more damage to yourself.

: They don't listen period. Look at Dynamic Que and Solo Que. These imbeciles are really listening huh?
Wow, one example. Meanwhile the recent Zed nerf, came from the boards. I can point out numerous instances where splash arts were changed based on feedback from the boards. Mordekaiser receiving changes that put him in a decent spot after the juggernaut update failed, that came from the boards. Heck Braum is based on a character concept from back on the old forums! Does Riot always listen to the boards, no. But then if you watch the boards long enough you realize that a lot of people around here haven't a clue what they are talking about. But if you paid attention for half a second you'd see that a lot of changes actually got suggested by players at one point or another.
: Target selection and mobility. Assassins in general have much better access to the carries by virtue of their mobility. For what it's worth, I don't think the distinction is healthiest, but there does exist a fair difference in the the gameplay of assassins and burst mages.
Mages are also meant to bring more AoE or CC to the table while assassins typically have more single target damage than their immobile counter parts.
Vanjie (NA)
: No. The problem with Vel'koz and Brand is that we told you not to work on them. What did you do? You didn't listen and wasted time on them. That time could have been used on somsone else or made it easier for you to get it out. Listen to the community and stop being stubborn. Oh so it ks basically another excuse to work solely on Zed? Great idea. Keep Zed completely out of it. Give Eve, Talon, Rengar, and other champions the time. Please do not use this as a excuse to work on Zed yet again. Zed had 5 months of work on him the beginning of the year. He contined to have buffs, nerfs, and complementary buffs to his kit for patches after. Stop working on your love child and give some of that love to other assasins. I swear to God if I see that he is part of this update, you guys really dont listen to the community at all. DON'T WORK ON ZED AT ALL.
>I swear to God if I see that he is part of this update, you guys really dont listen to the community at all. Wow, you don't pay much attention do you? Riot listens to and takes queues from the community quite often. Just because they don't listen to every kid that posts rants and pitches tantrums doesn't mean they don't listen to the community.

Oh, so _that's_ why he's played in the LCS... you know, where the players obviously pick only the balanced champions with clear weaknesses. Kidding aside though, I smell a dose of Kappa.
>Poster child, yes, but not healthy. Actually aspects of his kit are. To put it simply, his assassination style is one of if not the healthiest in the entire game. It gives a fair amount of time for counter play and if you can manage said counter play, a massive amount of damage is negated. That said the only aspect of his kit that makes his counter play annoying still is that his Q is still very reliable when he goes in for an assassination.
: The only thing that I ask concerning the Assassin Rework
Bruiser is the word you're looking for. Not "tank assassin". And if you want to push assassins more towards assassin builds, you need to make it more worth wild to build burst than DPS on them.
: Haven't seen full tank Vlad yet.

Pretty certain Vlad and Swain have always dumpstered all over any ADC that gets within range (unless they have half their team backing them of course). Truthfully unless you're a fed assassin or bruiser it's actually a good idea to stay away from these two.

: not to say it's a good think but i would most certainly give up my role to a troll rather than let the troll ruin my in game experience even more
And how many trolls have to bully you out of your lane before you realize you're part of the problem? While I see what you mean, I whole heartedly disagree. By giving in you only encourage them more. The more they are encouraged, the more others will end up following suit because the tactic works. Is it the tougher road, yes. But I will always stand my ground over giving in to people like that. Yes this is a video game, so while I say this, either way I don't let it bother me much. What I do is stand up for a principle.
