Saphixia (OCE)
: Who is your birthday Champion
Oh, cool, {{champion:76}} was released exactly on my birthday: December 17th.
: Fortune Teller Orianna
I love the concept. I can just imagine her spewing little fortunes in that robotic voice of hers and it's awesome.
: > As for my personal question; which champions are slated for the most extreme changes in the mage rework? Can't really talk about which champions are in the update yet, sorry. I'd really like to :(
No worries! I thought it best to give it a go anyways even if I couldn't get any real answers. You'll miss every shot you don't take, after all. Good luck with that work though! And thank you loads for even bothering to answer my little post. :)
: Here's a post where you can ask questions about the stuff I've worked on, and I'll try to answer.
For starters, I greatly appreciate this thread being made. Extreme kudos! Hopefully the other Rioters will try to chime in with threads like this once in a while so we can get answers for other areas too. As for my personal question; which champions are slated for the most extreme changes in the mage rework? I know with the ADC rework some got major changes while others just got little tweaks and I would like knowing which are which for the mages. Not everything is likely planned yet, but if you have any answers I'd be happy. :)
: Just had a game that just demotivated me from playing another.
The only thing you can really do in these situations is mute the offending players, report them after game, and perhaps try queuing with other people to fill the gaps thus subjecting you to less randoms that could do this while you learn a champion or role. I typically only ever try learning a new champion when I'm in a party to avoid this sort of situation. I do hope your next attempts go smoothly. Diana's Q is certainly wonky to hit, but once you get the feel for the end of the range you'll be hitting so many of them you'll think yourself pro. :)
: It might be better to just add a faint outline to the hit box of all the skill shots. This QoL change might be a nerf to some champions, but technically players SHOULD be able to derive the hit box of whatever projectile they need to dodge from the actual animation anyway. Landing a Blitz grab with the iBlitzcrank or Battle Boss skin is definitely easier than doing so with the default skin. In fact, iBlitzcrank is banned in professional play for that reason. The hook for iBlitzcrank appears much smaller than the actual hit box, and it is more difficult to see as well. Likewise, Battle Boss's grab sometimes interferes with the players' perception of the length of the grab. Other offenders such as Steel Legion Lux, Forsaken Jayce, or Underworld TF are also annoying to deal with due to the discrepancy between the animation of their abilities and the actual hit box. Worse, some champions have inaccurate hit boxes on all of their skins. J4's Q for example out ranges the actual animation by a huge margin. Thresh's Q hix box actually expands as it travels, but the hook animation does not match the change. Riot should definitely clarify the skill shots. Either get rid of wonky effects such as Thresh's expanding Q and match the size of the animation to the hit box, or just outline the hit box so players know what they are actually dodging.

I would love to see something like this. Or, at the very least, that Riot goes through and fixes certain skins that give issues like this. I've never been able to lane against iBlitzcrank just because of his hook visuals being so out of sorts with his normal one that I just can't seem to dodge it.
: > Riot Repertoir (mispelled sorry): Why is Kog'Maw still been basically shafted? It can be difficult to have meaningful conversation with people when their opening statements toward you are immediately negative, accusatory, or passive aggressive. I go in and out of spending a good amount of time on Boards when I'm not crunching hard on projects (as I am currently with Taric and immobile mages), but even when I'm looking for meaningful conversation to have, a large number of threads are quickly filtered because they come off as hostile. I personally am not looking for sugar coated questions, but I do think a topic like "Hey RiotRepertoir, Kog'Maw seems to be performing poorly in xyz category. What are your plans with Kog'Maw moving forward?" probably has a more meaningful conversation behind it than "Why is Kog'Maw still basically shafted?" The latter is pretty passive aggressive and doesn't really even begin to describe the conversation you want to have about Kog'Maw. Questions like these usually just come off as someone being angry and not actually seeking discussion. I'm off to work. I can try to pop back later if I get a few minutes.

I can understand not wanting to speak in a hostile environment, but a big issue also stems from no Rioters really responding to forum posts that are just legitimately trying to ask what went wrong, what is going on, or what your mindset was for certain choices. However, whether they were being outright aggressive, passive-aggressive, or just downright polite it is extremely hard to find answers given anywhere. Even if you find yourself unwilling to answer him/her particularly, why not answer some of those individuals posting in the thread who look for the same answers? We love these champs, these stories, and this game. I just implore more Rioters to say anything because being kept in the dark really sucks.
: Post your Snowdown Shop items!
http://i.imgur.com/9YlKdY5.jpg?1 I was looking forward to this sale. Now I wish I hadn't been. ;(
: To add onto this, feedback is always welcome. This is the first time we're doing something like this!
My biggest issues with the shop come down to two major things: doubles and champs. [I got THREE Soraka skins in my shop](http://i.imgur.com/9YlKdY5.jpg?1). Half of shop was dedicated to one character alone. That alone is a kick to the teeth. The worst part? I don't play Soraka. She's typically banned when I'm playing and not only that, but I hardly play her even when she isn't. Instead of giving me a skin for Bard or Nami I get three for Soraka. I get it goes by playstyle, but perhaps you should try making it account for what you've played a lot of lately so I don't get skins for a champion I just don't use. The other three aren't the best in my opinion either, but at least they're champions I play. Although I've rarely played any of those three as of late so I still feel as though they were worthless in the long run. I would have killed to get a Varus skin in there as I've been playing him more lately and enjoying him, but not his base skin.
