: What is the easiest way to just win one game in bronze??
You played Kled Top for 5 games in a row. You have no history (that I can see) that says you have any idea what you're doing on Kled, and you have very few games in Top. You went back to Draven (your most played champ) Bot (your most played position) and won. The "secret" in this case was stick to what you know. Keep playing your Draven, Caitlin, and Lucian. Stick to Bot. You've been Silver almost every season prior, so there's no reason you can't make it again, except for not playing and not working on fundamentals. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. We're looking into Abysal and Nightfall (I trust the guy in charge of this knows how to find them, if not, I'll ask for more info). Seems somewhat difficult to find leagues that match our Silver/Gold range, but we're looking.

: I straight up switch sometimes on the same champion if I'm playing into different things or the comp makes it feel better.
> [{quoted}](name=Xonra,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=xsvq8TlJ,comment-id=00070001,timestamp=2018-05-04T17:50:42.047+0000) > > I straight up switch sometimes on the same champion if I'm playing into different things or the comp makes it feel better. Same here. That's why I don't feel like there's a "dedicated" rune for mages. It's a tool box. Some tools get used more than others, but all have uses.
: A majority of the League community appears to hate female players.
As far as I know from talking to the women I play, they don't get any more or less flak than the men I play with. When they ARE harassed, gender comes up if the harasser guesses they're women, and while I agree that it's wrong, it seems like it's only used because the harasser thinks it'll get a rise out of the victim. I'm not gonna say, "get used to it", it's bad behavior that needs to be adressed, but I disagree that "the majority" hates women in league, it's a vocal minority that would have targeted you for being a given religion/ethnicity/sexual orientation/breathing.
: The Trolls Have Won And Are Immune To Criticism - Punish the Victims Instead
"The Trolls Have Won" implies this (dealing with toxicity) is a finite game that can end. Dealing witth toxicity is an infinite game where you have to continuously work to keep things working as smooth as possible. With that said, you never have to hit that [enter] key. You can always just mute. The moment you argue or "make suggestions", you open yourself up to being baited into saying something that'll get you flagged as toxic. Just don't do it. {{sticker:poppy-wink}}
: I honestly don't even blame losses on bad players anymore...
Consistant good play will win you more games than being amazing once in a while and blaming others for losses. That "useless" ADC might surprise you if you can put your carry pants on for ten minutes and give them a chance to recover from a bad laning phase.
: Mages only have 1 truly dedicated Keystone...
Aery is great for any mages who like to harass constantly in lane. Rush is great for any mages who want to get up in your grill. Comet is great for any team fight oriented mages, or those who can consistantly slow/stun you to make the most of the damage in lane. I use all three, depending on matchup.
: I LOVE laning against Zoe.
If you avoid her paddleball or sleepy bubble, you have an opening to punish her. If you avoid both, she's helpless. Also, if you're playing a champ with hard pushing ability, you win. She has to use a LOT of mana to push back.
: Reporting during champ select
Maybe, but in my specific instance it was a player who started to flame me because I wouldn't trade positions with them. Again, I'm glad the game didn't go through, but if someone is that toxic before the game even begins, I can only imagine what they're like in general.

: My problems with the announce ranked system in season 9
This is the one time where my gut reaction to something announced just made me go, "Wait, what? No!" After thinking about it, I'm not sure that I want to have multiple ranks. As it is, I'm perfectly happy to occassionally eat an auto-fill so long as I can keep climbing (or not) on my account. Also, what if I get a secondary role, or auto-filled as I'm trying to level up my main role? That's going to feel like a waste of time if I play it as, from my point of view, no progress is being made. What if someone on the enemy team is a Diamond in their main, gets auto-filled, or CHOOSES a gold level off role, and then just has people OP GG their account so they're willing to trade roles? I can already see this being abused by duo queue boosters. But I'm just one guy. I'm sure lots of players will like this, and lots of players will not.
: How do I win as yorick if my teammates just feedwhile I splitpush
The same way Tryndamere (or any other split pusher) does it: You make it so you cannot be ignored and the enemy HAS to send one or two people to answer you before your team gets overrun.
Abraxis (NA)
: Banning a teammates declaration should be instant feedback right?
You said he taunted you in chat. Taunting your own teammates might be toxic. Also, next time don't bother flashing Kindred mid and avoid this. Kindred hardly ever gets banned, and very few people pick for Jungle, so you're relatively safe.
: Dear riot, I have a 30% winrate in bronze V
If you're in Bronze V, you should NOT be facing Silvers or Golds in RANKED. Normals... well, good luck there :D
: Riot, fix your shitty motherfucking game.
And it's not their fault it did. As far as they know, you purposely disconnected. I once got hit with a penalty for going AFK because I had to suddenly rush my neighbor to the E.R. When I got home, I saw the 'AFKers ruin games, don't do it'. I hit the "I understand", dealt with the wait time, and continued with my life and my game. No reason to get fired up over something that, as you said, is beyond your control. Now, if it IS an issue that's starting to crop up, see what you can do about it before you play again.
: Can someone explain to me how i was being toxic? i just dont understand.
I'm just repeating what others have said. You're constantly pouring on the negative attitude. You're constantly being insulting, especially to your Jax. Look, man, it takes effort to be toxic. You don't HAVE to type in chat. At all. You HAVE to go out of your way to be toxic. Just... don't hit that "enter" key. Team mate does something you think is bad? Shout, scream, curse, I don't care. Nobody but you and whoever lives with you will hear it. The moment that bleeds into the chat for all to see, you're just asking to be penalized.
: been there, done that. Still lost because children decided chasing their solo kda and ignoring towers was more important than winning. Their personal kda, how many kills they rack up SOLO is more important than actually ending the match. If team needs help? Nah not gonna happen. It doesnt feed thier killstreak. It doesnt get them an ez penta. If I try and farm, I can get 4v1'ed by bot, jungle, and mid. And when I ask that mid actually Ping their MIA I get told "Stfu and place wards" (despite already haveing wards out) Yeah I screw up, but please dont patronize me with the "Just farm and u win" routine.
It's not patronizing, it's trying to get you to think positively. It's imparting what's worked for every single person I know who actually tries it. I suggested you mute people, and you say you've "been there, done that" and immediately tell me that "I ask that my mid actually Ping their MIA"... so you're NOT muting anybody. Anyway, I took an interest because I was bored. As I said, take it or leave it, and best of luck getting out of Bronze V.
: Stop calling league a team game. its Not.
Havok, I read your post, and I can see your frustration. I've been there, we've all been there. But look, you're in Bronze V. You can ONLY go up. if I may, I'd like to offer you some advice that's gotten most people I know from Bronze into Silver (and what my Plat and Diamond buddies suggest as well). It's up to you if you take it or leave it. You're letting chat tilt you way too hard. /mute all the moment you start a game. I can't tell for sure from your match history... but I'm guessing you're a Bot main? If so, great. Stick to two or three champs (I see Ashe, Siver, and Trist, those are fine). Focus on farming up and not dying during laning. You're in bronze V, so don't worry about any super macro play just yet. Farm up, don't die. This alone will get most players to Silver V. Farm up, don't die. Stick to this for the next 20 games. You SHOULD see some improvement. Good luck!
: Can you win a game when you are down by 3 outer turrets (20 min) and your team hasn't taken one?
It's very possible to win. However, as already stated above, most teams in that situation usually give up.
: Anyone who says "riot only cares about making money" is entitled or exaggerating.
League of Legends is the only game I can really think of where the game is entirely free to play, where the only advantage to spending money is getting the ability to play ranked sooner. I never feel like I have to spend money, and yet I do give Riot my money because they have something shiney that I want. Riot isn't perfect, and they ARE a company that's out to make money, but they are also the company I point to when an example of a profitable "Free to play" system is asked for.

Fuck off. I snowballed hard to get to those games and the most I'd get is 26, even if they gave me the biggest bottom feeders in my division. You'd think they'd reward players with a lot more LP like 30 for carrying the unskilled. But no; a single loss streak of like 3 games and I started losing 16-17 a game. > > If you throw players with 45% winrates in my games and we lose, considering my record, cut me some fucking slack in those LP losses. All I ask. They ARE cutting you slack. You're losing WAY less than you're winning. I can only assume you've been playing for about 2 or 3 seasons. There was a time where you could seriously gain and lose single digit LP. THAT was rough.
: When everyone on your team picks a damage dealer what do as mid?
Bronze? Okay, I'll be "that guy". If this is bronze, then what you do is you pick whoever you're the best at, put your team on your back, and carry them. Can't carry in Bronze? No problem. There are SO MANY FREAKING RESOURCES out there that'll teach you how. Even something as simple as farming up and not dying in lane is enough to get you to Silver :) Good luck, man.
: No but seriously, fuck ranked.
It'll happen from time to time. Sometimes it'll happen in your favor.

: Tips for getting out of silver?
Others said it, but here it is again for your ADC solo queue: -if you don't have 2 tanky team mates, dodge. -if you have all AD comp, dodge. -focus on CSing. -if you take the bot tower before your top, ask to swap -play simple ADCs that can carry hard: Trist and Jinx are my personal faves, but there are others. Good luck.
: I'm just gonna say it: Bad players don't deserve bad attitude
I don't have any issues with a player having a rough time. My issue is a player having a rough time and then giving up, or worse, acting like it's everyone else's fault. The former doesn't care anymore and the later just flames their team. People have poor games. Recognize that some players are trying to help you and learn to be carried gracefully.

: Personally I want less new champions in 2018-2019 and more VGU's of old ones.
Too many posts to read, but yes, we have a TON of champions, and while NEW ones are nice, I'd love to see some of the older ones be given new life via visual and audio updates, even if their kits stay the same :D
: psa to people climbing in silver/low-gold
I just wish players wouldn't use your current kills to determine if they listen to your calls XD I'm 10 and 0, no problem. I'm 2 and 3, "STFU!" I get it, we're low gold, so "you're not better than me" mentality kicks in, but I'm a firm believer in "if a call is made, and nobody else is making calls, do it" because a poor plan that everyone attempts is better than a good plan where half the team goes and even better than no plan at all.
: The differences in skill at the same elo is amazing.
A humgle Gold 5. A few days ago, I played against 2 Lux players. The first one, a Gold 2(give or take) was hyper aggressive and would NOT miss any skill shots, danced around anything anyone threw at her. It was unreal. The next game, another Gold 2(give or take), another Lux, made my blood run cold as I thought, "no... not her again...", but... no, a totally different Lux, and this one just... let me hit her. Over and over. Both accouints were legit Gold 2, with roughly equal win rates, both mid players, but the mechanical difference was unreal. The second Lux must be there on sheer game knowledge. TL;DR - Yeah, the skill difference between players in the same tier and division is astounding at times.
: Dumb Question
Ah, I wasn't aware that a single report was sufficient. Read the manual and all that :) Thanks. I'll report and move on from now on.

Ward. Freeze the minions on your side of the lane. Call for a counter-gank. Plenty of ways around this.
: What exactly is Ziggs' story?
I would LOVE a full Ziggs background, visual, and VOICE update. I want to hear him talk to and about other champs. What would he say to Jinx? What about Heimer? Does he like the other yordles? Maybe he figures his explosives will bring down Galio, or because they always draw him tormenting Garen, perhaps he will have the most taunts towards him.
: Thanks for the upcoming minion changes
Wait, this sounds like a good thing. It's basically forgiving you for missing CS normally, and telling you to focus everything you have on the cannons. Supports should love this. Mid-laners who normally want to use abilities to farm should too.
: I got a 14 day ban in a game where I was flamed harder than I have ever been flamed before
For what it's worth, when you get your account back, try this: -Don't type anything in chat, except maybe "gg", "gj", and "ty". -If someone shows any signs of being toxic, mute them. Do not reply. Replying to toxicity with toxicity, in the end, makes you toxic. And that's that. You're not defending anything. You mute toxic people then all they can do is shout in the wind at nothing, while you're free to focus on your game. It's that easy.
: I'm starting to turn into a toxic person. I don't like doing it but it's hard to control my nerves.
**Don't put all your eggs in one basket-** Don't let winning be the all consuming reason why you play. This is a sure fire way to tilt yourself. Instead, focus on little things you can do every game to improve. "This game, I will CS like crazy". "This game, I will protect my ADC like crazy". etc. These little things are sure to improve your chances of winning, and are lest tilting if something goes wrong. **Don't focus on others-** You can't control your team mates. All you can do is keep focusing on yourself. Bad game, oh well, move on. **Do give the benefit of the doubt-** Seriously. Sometimes your team mates are actually BETTER than you, but they just so happen to be going up against that Diamond smurf on their way up. It happens. I find that thinking my team mates drew the short straw makes it easier for me to play than thinking they're just bad. Sometimes hearing "Don't worry, fam, I got you" helps your team not tilt and focus, and then you win. Empathy, man. It helps. **Do use the /mute all-** Sometimes people are just toxic. Mute them. Focus on your game. Move on. Finally, if you find yourself starting to lose your cool, take a second to recompose. Next time you're at the fountain, take a few seconds, breath, tell yourself it's cool, find the next thing you need to do, and go do it. Giving yourself something to focus on other than negative thoughts helps you focus. Good luck. **WALL O TEXT CRITS FOR 9999 Damage!**
: Either Kassadin is shit or Ahri is unfair
Kassadin IS anti-mage, once he gets rolling. Pre-6, he's not so good. If you get seriously behind, it's pretty much over for you. That's all there is to it.
: I wouldn't mind some more romance/flirting between characters
I would simply like some of the earlier champs getting visual updates where needed, and basically every one of them getting audio updates. I love playing as Poppy, Galio, etc., listening to everything they have to say on everything, and then I go back to someone else and... silence... But maybe that's just me.

: Have you ever considered punishment without context?
The first two punishments are essentially "time outs". The third one is basically being grounded indefinately. So... yeah, this already happens. Parents often use these techniques on their kids in the USA, and I'm not necessarily against them if the person being punished has been seriously misbehaving.
