Heck, I am *currently* chat restricted for what is this Rioter's behavior plus an F bomb. Apparently you can't get tilted unless you're collecting direct deposit. So rules be damned, there needs to be a callout when Rioters flame and protecting their names is a ridiculous exercise. Sincerely yours, a guy with regular positive honor rewards since the beginning of time.

At least I have the free win if I can get to series. You're being shielded but are critically close to being demoted because you have lost too many games to maintain your current rank. Winning more games will prevent you from being demoted. Now look at how it said "but are critically close to being demoted". It doesn't go away the more games u win, it warns you that, if you lose more games, you get demoted. Win more games to not let that happen. That's my last answer, if you still don't understand it, then that is your problem.
And your inability to parse plain English in the tooltip is *your* problem. Get lost, troll.
: Demoted even with protection
Gotta love the try hard trolling in here. I'll await Riot's response to the bug report. This is a very misleading UI element. Crow all you like, but the fact is that bad UX is bad UX. "You are being shielded" isn't a fuzzy statement. It indicates that you need to win more before that protection becomes unneeded, *but the protection is still active*. Yet every time in the past, so long as that was displayed, a demotion didn't take place. This is the first time I had ever been demoted from any rank with that still visible. It's noteworthy, regardless of your attitudes towards my literacy or skill.

"You are being shielded". How is that at all unclear as to the effect of the flag on my profile? You're either shielded, or not. If I had all the information, that a loss could demote me, I'd not have queued ranked. Period. I was essentially tricked into participating in a queue by the UI's false claim that my rank was still protected. Photo one, red triangle. Text clearly says "you are being shielded". I've done this before. I check my profile and screen before every game I queue if at 0 LP so that I know what to expect. Never before have I gone into a game with that flag active, lost, and been demoted. Only this time, on the last day of S8. It's a bug based on that text. It isn't ambiguous at all.

The text on the popup said what it said. Protected from demotion. For that to not apply to the game I queued for is a flat misrepresentation.
: There are 2 Things if ur at 0 LP. 1. Yellow: You can lose as many games as you like, you wont get demoted. 2. Red: You lost too many games. Lose some more times and say good bye to Silver, Gold, Plat, etc. Since you said that u were on red, its pretty obvious why you got demoted.
The text on the popup was plain as day. Protected from demotion. Troll elsewhere.

: Selecting a champion should prevent your own team from banning that champion
I had forgotten what a positive and contributory community this game has. I'll just wait another 4 years before daring to post a suggestion again. Peace, trolls.

Again, it really should never be the case that you are given a tool to intentionally grief your teammates. I don't care that we "earn or pay for our champions" that means nothing. It just shows how selfish of a person you are simple as that. How abo9ut this? you dodge after someone bans your champion you get triple the penalty? that way everybody actually wins
Super constructive commentary. You're the type of troll a change to this would disempower. You sound precisely like the type of person that just likes to mess with his own team because you'll just no-life another account to 30, or buy one with daddy's credit card.

: I am 1-11 when a certain champ is on the other team....someone on my team hovers so i don't ban. Other team takes champion before my teammate get a pick or even worse, they change their mind and pick a different champion leaving it for the other team to pick. I don't usually ban if a teammate select a champion, but i don't fault anyone that does. Not banning someone has burned me in the past.
Yes, but have you also kept track of your W-L record when your tilted teammate doesn't dodge for you? Hint: *it's not good*.

Having a sight-enabled veto of your own team's choices is nothing but troll food. You *know* that if you exercise that option, you've tilted them. You're making like you've used this before in some strategic sense, but for every time that happens, 9 other times somebody is just banning a champ because they think their teammate will be weak on that champ. I get the temptation, but in a game where mental state is everything, this is flat-out just a tool to troll your own team into a practically guaranteed loss. > > I'd love to see the numbers from Riot on winrates of teams where a players exercises this nuclear option. I bet it's lower than almost any other correlation. I don't care if it tilts them. He gave you valid examples of why people can and will continue banning champions even if they are something a teammate wants to play. If they get tilted just due to that then they would tilt the instant anything goes wrong in the game regardless. If it's not my choice for me to ban WHAT I WANT! it's also not their choice to get WHAT THEY WANT. Sorry but it works both ways. You are tilting me by picking something you shouldn't be picking that early/late into the game. See how it works both ways?
Half of his examples were pure feeling and caprice. He thinks person X will play champ Y poorly therefore screw you, I am banning and tilting you. If you have a reason to not want that champ, make your case. But no, I don't believe that a single person on your team should wield a veto of this sort. In the end, we earn or pay for our champions. How about this, then. If a teammate bans your preselected champion, you can dodge with no penalty. That way everybody wins: you don't have to see that champ used, and the poor guy just trying to play a champion gets a chance to do so. Cap it at just once a day or so that this LP-free dodge is possible to prevent abuse. Or make the ban of a champion that is selected by a person something that has to pass on a 3-1 vote. : No. 1. That player might be very bad with that champion (some people look up teammates in champ select) 2. That player might be picking a very bad champ right now. 3. That player might be picking one of those champs that always feed when someone on my team has them. 4. It's a pick/ban champ and they are last pick. 5. They are first pick and they want to pick a champ that is too easily countered. 6. That champ was just released or reworked recently and I don't trust it. 7. 4 of us have a functional team comp they are drafting and the 5th person wants to pick something everyone knows won't work with it. 8. They are picking a champ that needs to be built around and no one on the team is picking around that champ. 9. I don't like a champ so much I should be free insta-ban it. As you can see, there are plenty of valid reasons to ban out a teammate's champ.
It should not be your choice whether a person on your own team gets to preserve a champion in the pool. I'd love to see the numbers from Riot on winrates of teams where a players exercises this nuclear option. I bet it's lower than almost any other correlation.

: Speaking of Teemo, could you ask where he is on the list of Rework Priorities. You know with counterplay being a big part of LoL's design. (I'm not talking about his Ult, though that has even lower counter-ability with oracles elixir gone)
Teemo is fine. Hell, the addition of the scuttle crabs took away his best shroom locations anyway. Not gonna say a rework wouldn't maybe be interesting, but in a world of AD casters without mana like Riven/Gnar, he is hardly OP. He's squishy to the point of being a pushover against many of the current meta tops, and if you try to take him support or mid, the tears from your own team will drown the Baron.

: Crashing from placing a ward at all happens all the time and riot ignores it. Then they make a thread for ward hopping crashecrashes for kat and Lee sin ignoring posts saying that If you drop either ward on any champion your game can crash.
If stealth is going to be a mechanic in ranked games, then simple ward placement needs to be an unbreakable mechanic. This has to be fixed.
