: If you could ban ONE champion from the game...
Toss between Sona and Vayne. Sona i don't want the average one on my team, since generally good positioning and watching the enemies' behaviors can yield generic buffs as negligible. Vayne, i tend to be a tank a lot, and good luck with items to counter that. Basically you fully rely on your team, and if they can't get her it's gg since all she needs to do to win is just build speed.

Really sucks to have spell shield, dodge 5 consecutive spells in a row, vel'koz in particular tends to be predictable most the time, and then your friend walks up behind you and gets hit, boom shield gone and here comes their cc train engage. Punishing players who get it because they know what they're doing, and dodge while using it to block the cc and insta dash/warp engages, just because your team sucks, is a horrible setup. Like, i can get an aoe you run into, but not a bounce off a team mate from a spell you'd already dodged. As long as League is a 5v5 having a sucky team is going to screw you over. Your team can get you Bard stunned, Tahm or Bard allies can screw you over easily with Devour or Bard Ult, Brand DOT passive, Teemo shrooms and Shaco boxes your team gets too close to, ARAM snowballs that you dodge but hit a minion/teammate. Ludens is just one of many examples.
Zilean bombs are also a major issue. I've seen someone not care about positioning when they had a bomb, kill a team mate, and before you know it the game's turned into people intentionally running into zilean bombs so they can run into team mates to kill them. But this is all different from the matter i was focused on. Luden's is a large area, secondary splash radius, creating homing projectiles. Secondary as in, it triggers after the main attack. Dodging a skill shot can be relatively easy, but the luden proc range can be rather absurd. I'd rather just take the damage from it, without it breaking my shield. There's some DoT effects that do just this, from other characters.
: Why Does Ludens Proc Spellshield?
I can support that. : On my opinion the only tanks that I feel are worth playing are Cho'Gath, Sion, and Dr. Mundo
Galio, Leona or Amumu with Abyssal Mask is pretty good, since it keeps mp up while you tank, and increases magic damage the enemy takes (which is great as an ap tank) Garen and Jarvan aren't bad, if you give them the right runes and aren't instantly countered. SImilar for Illaoi, but she's more difficult if the enemy actually tries to dodge tent slams while fighting, since that is her main sustain, and expect to enemy jg to gank a lot. Nasus is ok, if you can build his q as a tank he's pretty effective later in the game. Skarner is pretty awesome if you can use him, but his potential with different items and builds has to be carefully considered to keep in line with who you're laned against and to plan for later team fights. Taric is an okay tank, but you'll likely find the enemy jg on your butt the whole time, since everyone hates taric, so you'd better go in with a strategy. There are various useful aspects to different tanks. The biggest issue is typically, that when you know how to handle yourself then the enemy jg will be ganking and killing you, 3-4x to set you majorly back, before leaving you alone. And by that point you'll be needing to help with team fights, setting you back even more as you won't be as useful in a team fight, and won't have time to farm, so have to be constantly alert and make sure if you pressure early, you don't go far from the minions or past the river so that the enemy jg don't have good excuses to camp top, since the top won't be in any major danger as it'll seem like you're afraid to chase.

Yeah, it's pretty strong, but it's not necessarily as simple as 'who has more dark harvest' wins. I think you're undervaluing it. I don't really like the other game modes and only play aram and I can tell you that I've never been in as so heavily one sided games as I have the past couple weeks. I don't think when they designed the rune they were imaging 10-15 stacks by 10 minutes consistently. I haven't had a game today with less than 5 total dark harvests between the two teams, and right now I'm in a game with 7, including a dark harvest leona, illaoi and nami. Do you honestly think if dark harvest wasn't completely overtuned they would be picking this rune? ARAM already suffers from horribly unbalanced comps and one sided games. This is just an additional aspect that makes games even more one sided than they already were

This is just an additional aspect that makes games even more one sided than they already were I mean, i'm not saying it's not overpowered, just that it is manageable, and isn't necessarily going to win the game alone. Regardless of your game mode, i spend most my time in aram too lately as well as running dark harvest probably half the time or more. However, coordinating with your team, and not having team mates who feed and make you the scapegoat, is essential. I see plenty of people who go into aram and 'it's about rushing face first into the enemy, there is no strategy!' is their mantra. Needless to say, they get stomped, and typically feed enough that whichever team they're on loses. Don't matter what runes you're running, and usually don't matter which champ you are or what you build, that type of play just throws the match. Think it was yesterday, i saw a thresh with 45% cd reduction, he didn't need dark harvest. There are honestly a few reasons to use different rune sets, it just requires you to be a bit creative and/or flexible. Building pure dmg is effective, till you realize that as soon as you enter combat range all of sudden the entire team is targeting you specifically, with their ults and cc. I spend most matches like that, and have come to learn that it can honestly be more effective to build for utility. Keep Twin Shadows to slow enemies, stopwatch on a tank is effective at the start to net your team that first blood, max cd+infinite mana (essentially) is great for cc and pokes on ap, if you're ahead enough as garen get black cleaver+rylai's sceptre cuz you'd be amazed how effective that is for a team fight. You'd actually be amazed to see things like liandry's torment+rylai's is actually effective on characters such as garen+darius, when you're guaranteed to be in team fights. The aoe dot effects, stack the liandry's nicely. Naturally you would avoid most of this on both summoner's rift and twisted treeline though, and if you're not ahead of the enemy in aram, these will just put you further behind due to not having the advantage to support them. Just communicate and coordinate with your team, best as you can, and get a little creative. Don't be afraid to build counter items against an enemy giving your team trouble. People will always hate regardless of what you do, and you'd be surprised to see how just one counter character can turn the whole battle around sometimes.
: Can we disable Dark Harvest in ARAM?
Depends on if your team plays like total garbage. Good tanks counter it, especially if you actually use tanky runes. That said, of course if your team drops like flies, then they can hit the tank with dark harvest, get an assist on someone else to refresh cd, hit the tank, and repeat. Yeah, it's pretty strong, but it's not necessarily as simple as 'who has more dark harvest' wins.
: Normally if it is doing this, it is because there are corrupt files from a patch gone wrong. It usually can be fixed by running the [Hextech Repair Tool](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/224826367-Automated-Troubleshooting-Hextech-Repair-Tool) by Riot Support. Make sure when running it to check the "Force Repatch" option. ------- If this doesn't help, try running a client repair. To do this, open the client (no need to log in), click the gear icon in the top right, and press "Initiate Full Repair". ------- Should the problem persist, you may need to do a *clean* reinstallation. This is where you not only uninstall league, but you make sure no trace of it remains on your system. Then you restart, and reinstall. To do this: > #UNINSTALL LEAGUE OF LEGENDS > * Open the Start Menu. > * From here, open Control Panel. > * Select "Programs and Features"("Add and Remove Programs" on Windows XP). > * Select "League of Legends" from the list. > * Select "Uninstall/Remove." > > If you run into problems uninstalling League of Legends, this may indicate a larger problem within Windows. It may be a good idea to run a registry cleaner like [CCleaner](https://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/). > > > #CONFIRM THAT NO LEAGUE OF LEGENDS FILES HAVE BEEN LEFT ON YOUR HARD DRIVE > * Navigate to the directory where League of Legends was installed. > * Delete the old setup files you used to install the game. > * Restart the PC. > > #REINSTALLING LEAGUE OF LEGENDS > If you have experienced problems reinstalling the game in the past, you may want to consider running a registry cleaner before reinstalling the game. [CCleaner](https://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/) is a common registry cleaner that many players have found useful. You may also want to try creating a new Windows administrative account in the Control Panel to install the game. > > Download the latest version of League of Legends from these links (or here) > [NA ](https://signup.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload)| [EUW ](https://signup.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload)| [EUNE ](https://signup.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload)| [OCE](https://signup.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload) *** If all else fails, you can always send in a [Support Ticket](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and get help directly from Riot. Before doing so, make sure to run the Hextech Repair Tool to gather logs, and then attach these logs to the ticket. This will give Riot all the info they need to figure out what the problem is.
Thank you for the effort, but this is completely off-topic from what i'm asking. You detailed the point of the repair feature, and how to fix your league. I detailed how i did not need this feature, every time my client has an improper shutdown, and wanted to know if there was a known method to stop this from happening. As my game is not missing or corrupting a bunch of files repeatedly, what you detailed is simply a frustrating redundancy forced on me, that i'm asking how to get around. Again, i appreciate the effort, and your attention to detail in your post, but it simply does not address the problem i'm having, sorry.

So it's an intended set-up... I don't agree with it, but i suppose that marks it as not a bug at least, thanks.

: Random Maintance? No in game warning?
Yeah... that was pretty lame. I thought the maintenance was in 3 hours, not now.
