: Who's the most OP champion right now?
Cho has been secretly broken for a while now
: this depends on the situation, if i don't wanna play vs {{champion:63}} and my team mates pick second and wants to pick him I have a good enough excuse to ban him because he is a popular champ.
As someone playing Brand right now, fuck you and I hope to god I'm not queuing with you

: TLDR: you ask a Master how strong something is, not the Student. You may care about the student and what they think, but they can be misled by a smaller perspective as they learn. (Plus all the student’s bicker about what is actually broken or balanced, kinda negating each other’s arguments). Well, being an optimist for the sake of optimism, I love League. Riot produces League. And they are much better than EA or other similar publishers. Riot does make balance changes with the goal of balancing pro AND regular play. Looks at the Nunu nerf last year. He was crushing solo que but had only slightly shown in pro. He was nerfed for solo que. So ya, they care it’s just this low on the Elo bracket (hi, I’m bronze I ) there’s 100,000+ opinions, none of which agree on anything. higher elo’s? There is enough mechanical prowess where the champions true stats show. While where I am it’s about a combination of luck, Mechanical Canyons between players, and how familiar we are with our champions and enemy champions.
Yes but LCS players have things like voice coms and coordination to make champs like Ryze work, whereas most people feel kinda sad that Ryze gets addressed every other patch but champs like Viktor get no love for a year because he isn't played in the LCS. Also I'm not saying balance around silver ELO. There's a difference between balancing the game around better players and balancing the game around the LCS.
Spârky (NA)
: People need to realize that even if they do balance around silver elo for example the pros will always find the best champs to play and thus never will solve the problem. How about they balance around LCS so that we have to work to get as good as them and then there is the skill curve for us as the players. But instead riot balances around both elo's the best they can and still get flack for it.
I'm not saying we should balance around my ELO. I'm saying we should focus less on the LCS and more on the community as a whole.
Saibbo (EUW)
: And looking as his rank, it's good that they don't.
Jamaree (NA)
: I honestly think the game should be balanced around that level personally. Balancing around low elo just leads to people QQing rather then actually improving. Hell, they don't even only balance around LCS, the fact that there are several champions that are still weak because they pubstomp low elo too hard showcases that. Edit: if not LCS level, at the very least high Diamond 1 to Challenger, the players who actually know how to play the game best.
While I agree that the game should be balanced around better players, they majority of the playerbase should at least be taken into account.
: Zoe is strongest in pro play/high elo because of her pressure and wave clear tho, low elo players that complain about her just dont like getting oneshot tbh If they didnt give a damn about other people they wouldnt have done the assassin update hehe

: But aren't the boards always saying that every single ADC should be nerfed? Wouldn't the reduction in early range allow melees to go bot more easily?
They need a nerf but this is not the way to go about it. The issue is that ADCs scale way too fast; all we need to do is tone down some items.

: There are 2 things you will notice in this board at any time of the year. Bias towards tanks and hate towards mages. Mages are only allowed to burst mages and tanks are not suppose to die to anyone other than adc ,which should still take around 10 seconds of AA. That's all there is to these boards mostly. If my speculation are correct, this post will be downvoted.
He was joking about how tanks are brain-dead easy. I don't think he's biased towards tanks.
: Riot doesn't like birds, apparently. Maybe they're too costly to animate. Edit: people need to learn what a joke is, smh.
: The current support meta: {{champion:63}} {{champion:21}} {{champion:25}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:16}} {{champion:45}} {{champion:161}} {{champion:101}} And none of them build support other than maybe raka/sona. The rest just build full AP or damage (even leo builds damage now).
Pretty sure all tank supports like Ali and Thresh are meta

I'm maining xerath mid lane but don't be fooled. Ima be bot lane every 2 minutes because that's the only way I'm gonna win.
: Not at all. At least not noticeably. Tencents market isn't NA. Tencents primary market is the asian gaming cafe. The asian gaming cafe demands games under 30 mins. Also LCS just franchised into a billion dollar company as well. Riot cares about skin sales and the LCS, skins sell more when champs are OP, LCS does better when casters can scream louder at BIG PLAYS.
Holy shit it all makes sense now

: Why is surrender allowed below Diamond? Bronze players don't understand when they are ahead verses behind anyway. Bronze players don't understand who scales and who doesn't. Bronze players have the least impact in team fights, and cause chaotic fiestas where truly anyone could win. The enemy team, if not diamonds, could be easily 1v5'd by a decent gold player if fed. Nothing is more tilting than someone complaining to quit when you have more kills too. It truly gives the impression most people that want to surrender are not calculating anything, and are just quitters, no better than most afk, if not worse. No one even questions if Surrender in Ranked is a good idea in the first place. If you want to surrender, maybe you shouldn't play Ranked. Do they surrender in Worlds? Is it Meta to Surrender? You must have a lot of Late-Game experience constantly quitting at 20 minutes. /sarcasm You can normally tell who likes to quit, somewhere around mid game they have no idea what to do anymore because they've never played the game that long.

: I love seeing new people playing league and enjoying like I had once As someone who started S2 and played consistently since S3, and loved every minute of S3-S5, in my honest opinion League had gotten stale shortly after that. Almost to the point of unplayable. I think a lot of the long time veterans are experiencing some game fatigue. We came from a time when league was just in it's toddler stages. Felt like the wild west. The game was all over the place. Anyone who started before that remember dodge runes? Or unique item passive stacking? Because my friends tell tales of it and it sounds haunting. I see people talking about how great S3-S5 was, and while I completely agree, it wasn't the Utopia some people make it out to be. Deathfire grasp, feral flares, no answer for a split pushing Uryr that spiraled out of control just from farming, or a Kha'zix that goes in 1v5 and manages to escape seemingly untouched. Vaynes and Lucians beating people into the ground without mercy. Lee Sins evasive enough to be classified as paranormal and stickier than gum on blacktop in mid August. Who am I kidding Lee is still like that. Those are very isolated incidents sure. But I and many others have played this game religiously since then, and as dedicated players many of us seemed to find issues with every change since that time. Now instead of single champs and items causing bedlam, we have whole roles added to the mix. Remember just a short while ago adcs couldn't do anything because assassin's ruled the rift. And when tanks and juggernauts were wreaking havoc. Now adcs have gone off the rails shooting anything resembling alive, and it's utter chaos again. Yes, I sympathize that this isn't the game we started on. But every year and every patch we've overcome and adapted. The new runes and BE is very new and very foreign to us but fresh and while things don't look quite as bright; preseason has always been a time to test these things, voice our concerns and give them a chance to start the next season off on the right foot. Although sometimes not always in the right direction. No one enjoys a constant stomping or constantly being stomped. 15-20 minute games that are won by minutes 5-10 aren't fun either. Right now, that's what league is. And I understand why some grizzled vets and those going through a mid league crisis want to leave, and that's okay. But some of us are going to stay and that's okay too. Say what you will about either party, but I'm nothing if not hopeful. That maybe sooner rather than later: maybe game averages go up a smidge, that a mid/late game comeback can be a thing again, that towers are a legitimate threat when making the decision to dive, and/or the "meta" isn't ruled by one role. I'm not just hopeful that maybe one day I'll get to experience league like I had back when I was a young summoner but I'm excited to see where S8 goes. I'm excited that there are changes so large and new that they can frustrate and even scare me a bit. For me personally, it's like logging in for the first time all over again. I realize this puts me in the minority and I'm just one guy, who at one point really loved this game, even if I'm not very good. And I find it refreshing that once again I look forward to League after a long day.

: People told us not to worry about pre-season being broken because it would be fixed
We are fucked beyond belief. I'm sick of attempting to carry as a top laner only to get destroyed at 20 minutes by a 0/4 Vayne. I'm sick of playing a game absolutely perfectly, have everyone have a sizable lead on their lane opponent, but a 3/7 Twitch fat fingers the R key and we lose the game. I'm sick of losing tower because I fed a singular kill to my laner and then watch him roam and fucking annihilate my team. I'm sick of bot lane being the only lane thats relevant. I'm sick of the fact that champs like Ezreal, Ornn, and Mf only get love taps because their either top lane tanks or ADCs but champs like Sona get absolutely gutted and left to die. I'm sick of the fact that Riot has been totally silent on those issues and hasn't addressed the fact that towers are weak as shit, objectives are pussies, and snowballing is the only way to win nowadays. But hey thank goodness we got Master Yi buffs and a fucking shot in the leg to Heimerdinger coming up soon. Woooooooo...
