My friend and I started around the same time. He's spent 90% of his ip on champions, and I've spent 50-60% on runes. No compensation for that is ridiculous. Why can't they compensate me? What makes it so bad to return to me the ip that I've invested? It's the time I've sunk into their game and they're just going to say "sorry for the 100s of hours spent saving up for the runes, no refund teehee"?
All I hear is "I" and "my friend". If you want Riot to move, you need to start the sentence with "Here's how it would benefit your business".
: Riot do you plan to make tier 3 runes 1 IP
They don't do that because they need to have people play and maintain the short queue. The logic is that, if someone doesn't pay for the game, they have to provide benefits to other players (who in turn pay for the game). Keep in mind that Riot has to pay for the bandwidth when you connect to their servers (albeit small but millions of players add up). You need to give them something back in exchange, or they might as well not have you.
: Why are Juggernauts designed to depend on allies?
In a vacuum, DPS, defense and utility is a triangle and you can only have two. Yi, Tryn, Riven -> High DPS, high uitlity, low defense. Darius, Garen -> High DPS, high defense, low utility. Leona, Thresh, Blitz -> High defense, high utility, low DPS.
: it just me or is jungle infinitely more boring than season 6?
Negative. Blue and Red are never there so you can "wanted to smite red/blue for health/mana", if it stays there 30s past spawn time, you're doing horribly wrong. The heal is simply a complementary effect that they are now giving to every camp. Jungle choice Pre-2017: + Do I need smite for the next 45s? If not, proceed to smite the stupid wolf/Frog/Golem/Red/Blue Jungle choice Post-2017: + Do I need smite for the next 45s? If not, proceed to smite the stupid wolf/Frog/Golem/Red/Blue The only change is that you can now start at any camp, rather than pigeon-hole into Golem/Frog

: Syndra doesn't really burst that quickly, she has a huge sum of set-up time before her ult is really a relevant ability. If you count the set up she needs it takes at least 7 seconds for Syndra to have the relevant amount of spheres to burst a squishy out properly. It's entirely possible to play around Syndra and not engage on her while she's set up, she can't really hold her damage indefinitely in the same way as assassins and when she attempts to she loses control over her Q CD as she has to cast more or less on CD to hold a high sphere number. It also just costs a fuckton of Mana. Most Syndra players attempt to keep 1-2 spheres on the field but to reach the point where you can burst without hitting a Q, IE with a max range E you need 3 or 4 on the field, that's at least 2 seconds to get Q CD twice.
She kills you with just her ult if you run 30 MR (like most people do) and under 70% HP (Which is not that difficult considering she has 3 long-ranged AOE)

: That's not at all what I'm looking for. I'm talking about things like Katarina's weak laneing or Azirs power drop before he gets a second item. Counters and weaknesses are two diffrent things.
Neither of those are real "weakness", they simply have lower kill power during early phase of the game. The only way you can "exploit" the weak phase is counterpicking them using champions with strong laning phase, i.e. Zed/Fizz/Annie, which is exactly what counterpick is about. Every strategy requires appropriate tools and materials, you can't serve steak with chicken thighs, and neither the steak nor thigh is the problem, it's you bringing inappropriate materials.

He's frankly the farthest thing there is from my play style. And because I'm so bad at him mechanically I mess up basic things, which gets punished instead of his actual weaknesses, meaning after about 20 Yasuo games I still have no clue what most of his weaknesses are.
His weakness is the insane skill requirement. One mess up during E and you're done.
: LeBlanc is too safe
She's simply hard to gank, not "safe", her E requires her to stay in close range for quite some time. If she could kill you without her E, you're probably too behind.

: Brand with rylais is better at slowing people with fire than lissandra with ice.
Liss freezes you for free, and we know free stuff always sucks.
: Why is it ok for Annie to be able to 100-0 you while stunned?
Cuz Annie's stun is her sole survival and she's stuck farming with 50 AA if she wants to hold it. I don't see such tradeoff in Talon, Kass, Leblanc, Brand or Veigar. FYI Veigar has x2 more AP than Annie while Brand passive is worth a lot more than 0.35 ratio.

: You don't think I felt a big middle finger hand being rubbed on my face over the times I saw a champion being reduced from 3150 IP to 1350 IP and I think that I could have had that for a cheaper price then I come out of my selfish shell and realize it makes no difference. First off, its unfair to say everyone would feel guilty of this, but I can't speak for everyone anyway so lets drop what the world thinks for a second. I'd really like to see how you intend for this community to grow? Are **you** going to pay for everyone of **your** new player friends to get a starter pack? Lets change the whole question, how do you expect the game to be fair to new players? My **friend** who was in with the launch of the game now has every champion and can just do whatever, getting new champions just by showing up. I, on the other hand, do not have his luxury. I have played for three years now, and I just can't finish off those last few champions. Still have over 30 left to get. Now, how is it fair that a new player has to spend more time and money than a veteran? They don't have the full roster. They don't even have runes. The whole experience is horrible. And because Riot won't just go to a **monthly** champion IP reduction (leading to 4 other IP price reductions a year) for a short while in order to tone down how much a player needs to spend in order to get every champion, it makes it continually hard. Also, and finally, its better to allow people to easily get champions in order to make diversity happen, in order to help many learn how to play as/against different champs, leaves money in the back for skins and what not, and 65-80% of sales come from skins dude. Its easy to understand why 20-35% of the sales come from champions (at most) because of the new champ bundle and how many would **still prefer to buy the champ with their money rather than wait** but who knows.
1/ You don't need to have every champ to have fun. With every champ taking 20-30 hrs to master, you should have gotten enough IP for the next one, or is burning through the contents in an unintended way. 2/ Riot periodically performs balance check to make sure cheap champions aren't weak and 6300 champs aren't breaking the game. I've been here 3 years and most of my time is with Teemo. I don't see how "unfair" it can be for new players. 3/ Freemium isn't supposed to be fair. You either pay with money or patience. Fairness doesn't write checks. 4/ If 65-80% sales were from skins, you would be seeing new skin every 4 weeks and a new champ every 3 years. Historically real contents and cosmetic has 50/50 split. If you have the data to prove otherwise, I'm sure Riot (and many many game makers) is interested in listening.
: Champ IP Sales. Please Up vote so people see!!
Rich people pay with RP anyway. Cheap people never pay with RP anyway. It leaves the middle layer, in which people are frugal and only pay when they really need to. If champs will just go on sale for IP, this group would rather wait and save money. This is a HUGE loss as 75-90% sales will be from this group. It's not happening.
Rew711 (NA)
: What idiot would spend money on something that can be earned? And even at that, there are too many champs and that will be unfair due to the high costs (minus the cheap 450 IP champs that come in a bundle). It could cost them around $50–$200 to even reach half the champions. Riot already earns enough money from (takes a deep breath): - IP/XP boosts - skins (ranging from $5–$25) - ward skins - icons - chests and keys - LCS - and bundles Champion RP price's are there just incase you want to. How can you even excuse the fact that new players don't even get the fair chance of a "random" first champion for free? They are stuck with Garen or Ashe, two champions that can be bundled into the new player starter pack, and not some 4800 or 6300 IP champion that feels more rewarding. Having at least **one** champion IP reduction every few days during a sale shouldn't hurt a hair on a Riot employee's head.
Rich people pay with RP anyway. Cheap people never pay with RP anyway. It leaves the middle layer, in which people are frugal and only pay when they really need to. : The jungler is not a failsafe for when you're losing your solo lanes.
The jungle's job is the same as everyone else - to win the game, which involves winning your lane AND helping other lanes win. You might argue your "job" is to AFK farm your jungle and watch the world burned. I won't try to fix yours, but do keep in mind a losing lane cannot turn the table by itself, which is why people call it "losing". It is the norm that jungle is REQUIRED to assist losing lane, unless you are late game carry like Tryn, Yi, Vayne or Twitch.

It's pretty unreasonable to make someone takes something they don't like, just because they get to go last. It's hard to ask other people to be a team player when you're not one yourself.

Your complain is silly. The complaint is not silly because the op only means that that has been the general trend lately and it's getting old. Riot already actively prevents something like this in how they release their champions. For example they don't release 5 adcs in a row because while yes the adcs would play differently, they are still adcs and 5 adcs in a row would get annoying. However, when it comes to the mechanics of the champions, riot doesn't seem to follow this same method, often releasing champions with similar mechanics very close to each other. I am completely with the op on this one, and am tired of seeing mobility all the time.
No 5 adc in row because champions compete for the same role and the only reason someone would use an inferior pick is their love for aesthetic value and background. Champions simply need time to build their fan base and it makes little sense to shorten their lifespan with rapid release of substitutes. The same logic isn't true for a mechanism. Champions of different roles do not compete, even if they share a mechanism or two. Matter of fact, it benefits people who play different roles as they would have someone with similar strength when they could not have their favorite position.

: AP carries as Supports
The downside is that you need AP to function, which in turn won't leave gold from more utility-oriented items (i.e. Sightstone, Mikael) Plus, AP mid has less raw stats by default, while supports usually have a lot of it (as they are not supposed to have a lot of gold). You end up more vulnerable to offensive matchups who take advantage of your weak early game.

And even then you can count to three pretty easy, he doesn't have that much time between q's to throw it out, definitely not long enough to lose track. If you're missing that many signs, you deserve to get hit by that q. Annie could literally come back to lane and you wouldn't know if you were in stun danger or not.
Doesn't mean there is no place for an improvement, especially the technology is already there.

While his mobility isn't that situational as there are usually minions or jungle creeps around (but if you even live to find one to dash to is another problem). Good point. 1/ Most bruisers have a dash, a ranged CC or both. The rare exception is Garen and Singed who have sprint instead. Please define "many". 2/ Yasou isn't a bruiser, he builds 6/6 DPS and in the glass DPS class(i.e. Yi, Fiora, Tryn)who ALWAYS has dash and immunity of some forms.
: He has a high skill curve and is very expensive which makes people unattratced to him. Nonetheless he is an extremely powerful champion if played well and his amazing roam and late game are not to be laughed at.

It requires 0.75s to land the slow, which is as long as Veigar E. it requires 1.5s to kick off the knockup, assuming the skill shot hits. "On demand"?

Fizz has ~0.7 attack speed so he could be pulling 2 AA during that 2s. At lvl 11, Fizz has 80 AD = 50 dmg post-armor. It'll take roundly 15 AAs to finish off said squishy. It is doable if the time frame is lengthen to 4s, which he would be pulling 2 extra AA, 3s of sunfire and a second iceborn proc, together with thunder and ignite. But then he is not stronger than any other bruisers. I kill most squishy as Irelia, J4, Riven or Renekon less than 4s under the same conditions.

But Graves has tons of armor and MR thanks to his E and he only needs raw AD to do damages (and thanks to that, he can build a good mix of raw AD items and tank items, making him, through builds, very tanky). Aatrox has to choose between being "tanky" (Blood Thirst) and dealing damages and he needs in order to feel "whole" AS + AD on top of tank items. Since it is impossible to get everything, he has to make choices and as a result he "feels" bad to play in later stages of a game. Great champion yeah.

Even if you earn only 500 a day, you'll be earning 15,000 a month on average. That's enough to purchase a minimum of 2 champions a month. Then you can practice your recent purchases in norms and continue to earn IP for other purchases. At 500 ip per day, that's way too much time spent playing the game. Not everyone can put in five hours a day just to get 3-4 champions a month out of a 130+ champion pool.
F2P games are time-gated by default. The gain after the first 1-2 hours of the day is minimized and mostly a giant time sink. If you want thing faster, real money is required. That's how F2P works.
: 500 a day is only possible for a lot of people until they hit lv 30. I only average 1 game per day for example. If that isn't a win I earn about 100 ip max.
If you play only 1 game a day. You should be playing AI to maximize the chance you get win of the day. Ideally you should get 50+150 =200 for the first AI match, then 50 (loss) to 100 (win) for a regular. That's 250-300 IP for 2 games (1 hour) a day.

: Riot should bring changes to the Champion prices
It's not a valid issue as they do not miss out anything. After 10-20 games, you'll reach the rank your skills allow, keep on grinding won't do much.
