: Hey Lorinne - I think the messaging here isn't as clear as it could be. All chromas won't be available for BE. In the past, only chromas that are 6+ months ore more old would go on sale, and I believe that's the case here as well. I'm catching up with our store team now regarding the messaging in the client 'cause I can see where the confusion may lie. Basically, the messaging is meant to imply 'hey, any chromas that are selected to be available for BE will be located here', as opposed to 'hey, all chromas are available for BE and you can find them here.' Sorry for the confusion. ;-;
Aw, shucks. :< {{sticker:sg-janna}} Well, thank you for the clarification.

It's an issue of you not communicating and not being a team player. You can't just copy/paste something at the start of the game and say, "Well, I've communicated. Again, it's not an off-meta witch hunt; it's your team not appreciating how you present yourself. I've mentioned this numerous times and no one has actually responded. There is no team hivemind. There aren't 4 people who unify and say "we respectfully disagree with your decision Mr. Nunu main, and would like you to play a champion you've never played instead". This is how it ACTUALLY goes down when people object (from most to least likely): 1) Someone freaks out and implores someone else to dodge because it's their promo and I'm a feeder with terrible KDAs 2) Someone says they think my strategy is "bad" (I'm using "bad" as a substitute for the more colorful language they normally use). No discussion here, they just insist that because it's different, or because I lost with it the last time I played, or that I'm on a losing streak, that it's "bad". 3) Someone complains after the game already started and we started losing, and wants to blame the strategy for that. Maybe their blame is appropriate or maybe it's not, but that's not really the point, is it? 4) Someone feels uncomfortable with the strategy but actually wants to work through it. Here I'm happy to give them champion recommendations if they ask, but I know my own limitations as a player well enough to know that ultimately the best way to win is to run with the strategy regardless. I also know from experience that the strategy is not nearly as stifling to the bot lane as people seem to think (especially when they've never actually seen it themselves). If it was, it wouldn't work- I usually max W second, and my W would not be very strong if my ADC isn't very strong. Sure, I can try to improve on being less curt and assertive, but ultimately I believe it will have no bearing on the fact that if I continue this strategy that I'll get reported a lot for it.
Open communication will probably go a longer way than you think. But part of open communication is _listening_. There are plenty of one-trick ponies out there, but the majority of the ones I've heard of follow this formula: queue up for the role you want, communicate the hero you want to play and if there's a disagreement explain why you want to play them (in simple terms, usually, something like "I have 500 games on this champion and a decent win rate; it's what I'm most comfortable with" is plenty sufficient), if you don't get the role you want ask for it using the same sort of statement, and (most importantly) be prepared to play someone else. A lot of people dodge if they can't ride their pony, but no one I've seen has a 100% play rate on anyone. That means eventually, they compromise. They play something else. Whether they're just trying new things out or deciding to work with their team can't be 100% confirmed, but regardless I've seen you state that you pretty much refuse to play anything else but Nunu and just opt for dodging. Having at least one thing in your back pocket would probably greatly improve the experience of both you and your teammates. _Especially_ if you're playing something off-meta, you have to be prepared to compromise. Communication is two-way street. You have to listen as much as you talk. Take the number one response you listed for instance - maybe cut that guy a break. The people who knee-jerk flame, report them for being toxic. Realize, though, that you have at least limited power to quench or stoke the flames, depending on what you say or how you react. Keeping your team up to date throughout the game, openly discussing your intentions, etc will probably help calm down anyone besides a mindless rager and will help the success of your strat. The attitude of "the best way to win is to run with the strategy regardless" needs to be dropped; the best way to win to have open, two-way communication and to adjust the strategy to fit the needs of the game and your team.

Some of if I think is just plain terrible from a strategic perspective, but I don't believe it's bannable. I don't "compromise" because there is no "compromise". There is no meeting halfway here- either I'm going to play roaming Nunu and run around the map actually making a difference or I'm going to sit uselessly in lane just because someone on my team is used to that and prefers it. Defending the Blitzcrank, by the way, is totally ridiculous. It was completely hostile and he knew exactly what he was doing. Did you actually watch the VODs or are you just cross posting an inflammatory post and believing it without fact checking it?

: Except nothing in that post says anything that I haven't already stated - I've mentioned multiple times (even in the FAQ at the front of my Twitch page, which the guy even linked) that I do this strategy regardless of my bot lane's preferences. Just as they're free to do whatever they prefer. I find it amusing that the question to help the guy with tear was reworded with an additional "uhm" and "at least?" to make him sound as hapless and confused as possible. Staying in lane, eating free poke and soaking exp wouldn't help him at all. And the strategy is very early game focused, so even a minute spent in lane would have a very high opportunity cost. Most of that post is just saying that I'm feeding and get bad stats. Yeah, people lose games, but the strategic validity of the Nunu support is provable over a decent sample when you're not digging to cherrypick specific point in times where it's underperforming (whether it's my fault or not). Some of that post is just plain dumb, like blaming me for the "confused" Blitzcrank when I explained to him exactly what I was doing, and he picked Blitzcrank not because he was confused but _because he didn't like my strategy, and he was actually trying to steal MY role. _
You act like you're communicating and trying to work with your team, but you're not. Then you act as if they're wrong by getting upset. : 14 day ban because playing Nunu Support with Smite is "stealing other people's roles"...?
It's great that you're only presenting yourself in a positive manner, but the fact is you're getting reported in half of your games (regardless of win/lose) because you're playing Smite Support Nunu like a %%%% (not just because you're playing Smite Support Nunu). That's why you're being reported and punished. Not, "Oh, poor me, I'm off meta", but "Oh, I'm a %%%%." Bonus points for mentioning Phreak and being edgy. From Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/dotamasterrace/comments/5w9ewc/yet_again_rito_bans_user_for_not_playing_their/de9bs48/?st=izpeel0e&sh=8c97ce34 : "Just to be clear, his strategy is: "I'm going to do this, and you're going to like it" He won't pick another hero that would fit the teamcomp better, he won't alter his strategy. You're going to do what he wants and you're going to like it. Unsurprisingly, teammates don't like that, even if they win sometimes with it - It's like some dude in Dota telling you he's going to duo lane middle with IO whether you fucking like it or not, every single game, he'll pick IO and just sit in your midlane. Even if you win with the IO sometimes, you still have a shitty experience, because all your other lanes suffer. I don't give a shit if people play off-meta things as long as they let the team know they're doing it and make sure everyone actually wants it, or at least the person who they're supposed to be laning with is ok with it. When I start to get pissed off is when someone declares they're doing something stupid, the team says "Please don't" and then they do it anyways. I grabbed one of his vods - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/118596913 He tells his AD he's going to ditch him and do his own thing. His AD says "Uh.. can you help me get tear at least?" - His response is "Don't worry, if its like last game, there'll be plenty of tears". Unsurprisingly, he goes about his strategy, which is to "annoy the enemy team", which gets him killed multiple times. His team constantly complains it is a 4v5 game (Which it basically is) and is trying to surrender the entire time, since he's feeding his ass off, and the opponent ADC is huge. At 20 minutes he is 1/11/8. He ends the game 1/16/20. He locks his team into a 40 minute game that they don't want to play and tells them they should suck it up and play by his rules. Ok, so lets see his second game. He does the same thing, and goes into the enemy jungle to invade, gets caught and gives first blood to Master Yi, a snowbally hero. He then dies again. All the while, he's complaining his teammates are "less proactive" than the enemy team (While he continues to abandon his AD, who is being denied farm and experience). His team complains that the game is a joke, saying to report him (As he fails to invade over and over. They get stomped and it's not even close - Again, the enemy AD is a god, and his is weak. He gets into another champion select, he tells his team what he's doing, they tell him no, he does it anyways. People dodge the champion selection (Probably a good move). Gets into his next game - This causes his team to automatically not want to play, which gets him a smite Blitzcrank support, as his team assumes he's trolling. Again, he tries his stupid invade and gets first blooded. His team is complaining. He's jungling now because Blitzcrank assumed he was trolling. This game is closer, but still terrible because of the Nunu. Another loss. I've taken a lot of time typing this up, but from the VODS it looks pretty clear to me. Plays something people hate in a way people don't want, despite being asked not to Plays it in a highly risky manner, causing people to tilt off the face of the earth Plays it in a way that forces another member of his team to lane alone, ensuring a fed carry on the other team every game"

: 1450 Wins in Dominion - this is all I play
Even with feedback from the community, it's, what, 1% of the population that regularly plays Dominion? That wouldn't have changed the decision because hardly anyone would have voted in favor of keeping it. Most people don't care. And you talk about Smite when they did the same thing. Joust isn't comparable to Dominion. **Domination was Smite's Dominion and they deleted it for the same reasons Riot did.** Now, I was one of the players who regularly played Domination, and it was my favorite mode by far, and I and players like me were upset and made posts... To this day, you'll occasionally see a post about how they should bring it back (usually in the form of a YouTube #remember sort of comment). But the **vast** majority of Smite players don't care at all, and even the majority of those who used to care have gotten well over it. You'll get over it, too. It sucks, but it's not the end of the world. You said you were a father, so act like an adult and stop whining and calling things "stupid" and threatening to leave over a decision you don't like. Give an actual argument for it. It's really not a mode that was worth keeping active, even if something like 10% of the population played it. That's just the long and sort of it. Sorry. :|

: Is banning a champion greifing?
Generally speaking, it's rude to ban a champion that your teammates want to play and have a chance of picking before the enemy team. However, I fully support you not being comfortable enough to have a brand new champion on your team. The fact that they trolled afterwards is much too common. Same thing happened to one of my games. Someone banned Jhin, the duo started screaming and cursing and throwing slurs and threatening to troll and feed, the spurned ADC locked in Nidalee ADC, and luckily the game was dodged. Seriously, there's no reason to react the way a lot of these people are reacting. I feel like new champions should just be off-limits in ranked play for at lease the first week in order to help avoid these situations. There's nothing wrong with being cautious enough to want to ban new champions in your ranked games (regardless of if your teammates' want to play them); there is something wrong with raging and trolling if you don't get your way. I find it odd that people feel the need to go over the top in such a way, whilst still accusing _you_ of being the troll. One of these things is not like the other. lol
: Riot, we need another female Yordle
Wow, people are taking such a tiny thing so seriously. Asking for a new female champion isn't some attack on masculinity or whatever some of these people are trying to make it out to be. Yordles are a tiny, unique race to LoL. The OP is just asking for an expansion of this race in order to enrich their lore and our knowledge of them. We already have a variety of male yordles, so it would be nice to see more of the same in female yordles. Like, it's more of a, "If we're going to make a new yordle, why not make it a female of a different 'yordle' race since it's never been done before and would expand and enrich our knowledge of the yordle race as a whole?" as opposed to "OMG! WE NEED MORE FEMALES NOW BECAUSE THERE NEEDS TO BE JUST AS MANY FEMALES AS MALES AND WHAAAH WHAAAH WHAAH!" For some reason, a few of you seem to think it's the latter instead of the former. I don't see why you guys are jumping down the OP's throat over a small, innocent suggestion. We have many male yordles of many different appearances and, in the case of Gnar, even a different subspecies. All the female yordles more or less look alike, as if they could be related. It would be nice that, if a new yordle was introduced, it showed some of the variety (if any) that is present in female yordles. It's not for the sake of feminism or inclusion or whatever; it's for the sake of learning more about the yordle race and adding something new to the game. No one is saying there shouldn't be male phoenixes or any of the other things some of you listed; there's no reason to act as if a request for a female yordle is a demand that new male champions shouldn't be made. So, just chill out about it. Personally, yordles are my favorite race in LoL, and I would love to see more variety in them. This includes different subspecies of yordles and more female yordles, since most existing yordles are male and seemingly of a similar subspecies (except Gnar). Suggesting a female yordle is doing nothing more than asking for a variety that doesn't currently exist in the race. It's not some kind of attack against any other race or gender combination. There's literally no reason to be offended or insulted or defensive over this suggestion.

Muting the player should mute the emotes from them, or so I've seen and been told. Although, it's never seemed to work for me, possibly due to a bug?
: This is not reportable and making such false reports will just lead to your report weight being lowered. With enough false reports, your account may even be banned.
It's being unsportsmanlike, which is completely reportable. However, since playbacks aren't part of the reporting/reviewing process, unless taunting /etc in all chat (which is also reportable) is present, it's impossible to really substantiate such claims. So, although it's a reportable offense, there's no way implemented (besides chatroom confessions) to really "prove" it.

They've given it out at events (like Worlds) in the past and it was the grand prize for the Pick 'Ems thing (one person won it, and apparently they already had it xD). If you're looking to drop hundreds of dollars, you might be able to find a code from when it was given out at an event....but I'm not sure if that's against the ToS, so I wouldn't advise it.

: It's actually over 500 because you get even more when you sell it after you are done with it.

darkdill (NA)
: So... Apparently getting Cull as your first item is "wrong"
I don't normally go for it because Doran's is better for trading and a lot of the people I play against like being aggressive. If I'm in a situation where one would buy a second Doran's, though, I go for Cull instead. I mean, I've always hated buying double Doran's and have always avoided it, but at least a Cull in place of another Doran's gives you an investment. Like, if I die or get pushed out of lane early, I'll be playing more defensively either way, so why not get an item that rewards defensive/farming playstyles while giving you a bit of extra sustain? Then, the boost of gold later on helps me catch up as long as I've played defensively correctly. People say you only get 400g from the item, but really it's more. You get 100g from the stacking passive, 300g from the completion effect, and then 180g when you sell it afterwards. So, it's 580g overall. However, considering if you want to subtract the cost of the item, it's a gain of 130g. At the start of the preseason, I started with Cull when I thought I didn't need to extra help trading or when I was fairly certain that it would be a farm-heavy lane for everyone, but I could certainly tell when I had been mistaken about those assumptions. Even if you feel like you can rely on the other carry being passive, the support usually tries to encourage trading. Doran's is just the better option in most cases because, unless you're relatively high elo, chances are good that there'll be some aggression and trading (possibly a lot of it); and if you have a cull while the enemy has a Doran's, you probably won't be well off.

There are tons of champions and splashes that need updated art - Riot Girl was just an easy example since it's a skin most people have for a fairly common champion and the differences from the model and old splash are very apparent. I never said it _was_ a Traditional skin, I said it was kinda as if it were one. You took what I said to literally. =z I'm just saying that because it's free (like Traditional skins were if you owned the champion beforehand) and it's almost the default splash (as were the Traditional skins). Riot Girl Tristana is just a skin where a pink tint was thrown on with a couple of silly stickers, so it still feels like Tristana's original splash to me since it's just a touch-up with no actual hard changes. It's a free skin, it's not like it's going to be Riot's top priority to update it with something unique.
The new model is not just a recolor of the base model though; not since the rework. Also, I knew you didn't mean it literally. I only meant that they weren't so similar. You're the one that took what I said literally. xD And, again, Riot Trist was just an easy example. I'm in no way saying it's the highest priority skin to update the splash of. : no i want them to keep the riot tristana
Why? It looks nothing like the actual in-game model now.
: Out Of All The Poppy Skins
As far as what I've seen from the models, I think LolliPoppy and the Noxus skin look the best in game; but the splash art for Blacksmith Poppy!!!!!~~~!~!~!~!~~~!!!! <3 It is one of the best splashes in the game. Maybe even the best, I think. Definitely top three, at least.

If you think _those_ are small arms... http://www.noobabble.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Commando-Lux-Poses.png I mean, her arms are as thin as the middle of her scepter....

I'm not talking about dungeons. I'm talking about raids. Not LFRs, normals and heroics. If you get into a group without them realizing you're below the usual minimum ilvl, and they kick you after they find out - that isn't abuse. If you don't get accepted into a raid group because of your ilvl - that isn't abuse. There's not a game-set minimum to queue up for normals and heroics because you cannot queue up for normals and heroics. Duh. If you are referring to player created groups, fine. They can set their own standards. But a raid leader that invites someone in before making sure they meet whatever requirements they want for the raid is not doing their job very well. They also are making themselves look like a jerk in the process. Oh, and by the way, a raid leader removing someone from their group is not using the kick feature. Raid leaders automatically have the power to remove people. The kick feature requires majority vote. And frankly, If you are using that in your own groups, you are absolutely not a good raid leader.
There's nothing jerky about it. IMO, the person getting kicked looks like the jerk for not looking into the raid requirements (which suggests they weren't really looking into the raid at all) and applying or sneaking in (via tagging along with someone who is actually geared) when they are not ready for the raid. They're the jerks for wasting the rest of the raid's time. It just seems to be like you have a personal vendetta against kicks and against people being removed from groups or something. If they don't want to play with you, for whatever reason, then there's no reason to force them to play with you. Most people have legitimate reasons for this. No reason to disregard the practice completely just because of a few dillholes.
: im sorry but if you dont know that the /kick in WoW is abused, then you dont go into random groups enough...the system is highly abused just like it would be in LoL a kick system in Lol would make the community even more toxic than it already is....just imagine you are queued with a friend and the rest of the team wants to kick you for a pick they dont like and your friend tells you that the rest of the team is trying to kick you,,,,how is that gonna make you feel?? heck just think about the trolls that are gonna be even more trolly if they find out their team is trying to kick them thats not even taking into account that with dynamic queues now...a team of 4 could control the vote kick and the surrender vote... a vote kick would be a horrible idea
Then change it to a /disband. Why would you want to play a game with such douchebags anyway? I'm not denying it gets abused, I'm just saying it's not as bad as you guys are making it out to be.

Abuses still happen, yes, but they don't make up the majority of kicks by a long shot. > See? Abuse. You kick someone because they are "under geared." In WoW, if you are in a dungeon, you're allowed to be there because the GAME says you have enough gear. Players have set their own standard and kick anyone who doesn't meet that standard. That's abuse. Meeting the minimum requirements the developers set is enough. "Oh, but we have to carry him." How would you know? You KICKED THE GUY OUT!!

A little abuse is always anticipated. Instead of just dismissing the idea outright, we need to try to come up with ways to minimize and punish these abuses, for the sake of the instances when these features are necessary. I wonder what private server you play on. The kick feature in WoW is abused to this very day. Don't be naïve. As for abusing the reporting system, at least in this game, false reports will get you punished. I can't say the same for Blizzard. Blizzard does not punish for false reports. They've admitted it.
I play on Aerie Peak. Not a private server. Most of the groups I get into don't kick unless you're undergeared, can't nail the mechanics required in the raid, or you're a dickbag. I'm not being naive; you're just being kinda cynical. Abuses still happen, yes, but they don't make up the majority of kicks by a long shot. The system is still useful. Instead of just waving it away because of possible abuses, why not try to find solutions to these abuses? Why not give a person a free dodge to use after x amount of games played, stacking to a certain amount? Why not vote to disband instead of vote to kick? Why does kicking need to be viewed as a punishment? It's not like reporting where people will try to get you banned for choosing an off meta pick; just a regrouping so you have a chance to get a group that will treat you better and they have a chance to find a group that will go along with their meta sheeple ways. There are compromises and changes that could be made to the idea of a /kick in champ select that would minimize abuses (or at least minimize negative effects on people "falsely" kicked) while still allowing people to avoid those who are actually toxic trolls from the very beginning.

: This is not a surprise considering the length of the thread, but a kick feature in this game would be horribly abused. Blizzard first implemented a kick feature in to World of Warcraft with the pure intent of allowing players to remove unhelpful or abusive players. Such as those who pulled groups indiscriminately, caused group disruptions, or other such annoyances. What did the community do with the kick feature? They used it to kick people for stupid reasons. Got two hunters? Kick one. "That guy has Stamina on his shield." KICK! "I don't want him rolling on my bow." KICK! "That player has too much gold!" KICK!! Do you think League of Legend's community would do any better with such a feature? If so, I have some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you.
Yes, people _sometimes_ abuse the kick feature in WoW. Maybe it was worse when it was first implemented, but nowadays /kick is hardly ever abused (at least in my experience and in the experience of my guildmates). You might feel "wronged" if you get kicked, even if it was subjectively justified, but that's irrelevant. There are people who abuse the reporting system in games, too, but that doesn't mean that we should have no reporting system. A little abuse is always anticipated. : It's not much, but can any Rioter help me congratulate the Champion Skin Art's team?
: Love the conversation on this thread. So let me give it some fuel. (Don't want to give to much away and end it-- that's boring) Let's say you love beer and partying, more than anything. You win the lotto. You have enough money now, you'll never have to work again. You can devote your time to drinking beer at your favorite tavern from dawn to dusk. What would Illaoi want you do with the money?
Illaoi wouldn't care what you did with the money as long as you did _something_ with it and as long as you didn't let your new riches turn you into some lethargic, motionless, unambitious lump. Use the money for greatness and pleasure but don't treasure it as if it's the only source for these things.
: santa veigar exists in runeterra, there is no jedi not tmnt and no christ in runeterra.
Santa Veigar and Gragas exist in the game, not in Runeterra. There is no Santa in the actual lore. Skins =/= lore. Otherwise, Tristana's gun is actually a dragon now, according to the new skin. But no, it's just a skin. There is no Dragon Trainer Tristana in Runeterra, just in the game. There are Santa skins in the game, but no Santa anything in Runeterra.
: santa gragas exists in runeterra, christ doesnt exist in runeterra.
Neither Santa nor Christ exist in Runeterra. Just because a skin exists doesn't mean it's cannon lore. If that was so, then there are like 10 different Katarinas running around the world, but I'm sure that's not the case. Skins are sometimes based on cannon lore, but many many of them are just non-cannonical cosmetics for the players. There is no Santa, no Jedi, no TMNT in Runeterra; but there are skins based on all these things for the entertainment of the players.
: santa exists in runeterra so theres an xmas.
Santa skins exist, but I've never heard about Santa being part of the lore of Runeterra/Valoran... Like, Jedi and Sith don't exist in Runeterra, but Yi and Jayce still have skins for them. TMNT and Bowser don't exist in Runeterra but Rammus has skins for them...
: I do but that aside theres still no christ in runeterra.
Well, then there wouldn't be a Christmas OR a X-mas. :P
: So we're just going to ignore the fact he seems to have stolen it in the first place? Also, this is why you don't give children with soul stealing powers stuffed animals to put them in. (>_>)
He didn't steal it. He found it, and it was torn up, so he fixed it before returning it.
