Lol come on... time is the most valuable currency we have? You wanna bust that out, but you're spending it alone playing a video game? THAT'S how you justify it? Because time is precious? They're spending their time, too. It's a horrible justification. Who are you to say how they should spend their time? They may enjoy spending their time playing hard-to-win games. Why is your time more valuable than their's, if that's your reason?
I'm often not playing alone. It's usually 2 friends and myself. 3 > 2
: If said player openly admits that he just does it to tilt you, then it already is reportable, since he admits to be grieving. If he doesn't, then there is no practical way for Riot to decide if that guy does it to tilt his team, or if he seriously thinks that this game is still winnable. Nothing they can do here. You have to sit it out.
I agree, but with this offence, in these circumstances, the report should have more weight. Time is the most valuable currency we have. I'd much rather have someone tell me to "kys" or trash talk my game play than have them waist my time.

: Since you talk about time being valuable, I hope you appreciate some maths: Clearly the goal is to climb, with the optimum being climbing the fastest. So the key question here is: Is the chance to win in the current game compensated for by a faster additional games. First things first: Variables p_avg = your average chance to win games in your current MMR (going with the surrender-tactic) t_avg = the average time each game takes p_cur = your (estimated) chance to win the current game t_cur = the amonut of time you expect the current game to still last, if played out Secondly, metric: Wins and losses are (on average) weighted the same, so 1 and -1 respectively seem sensible. Now, let's get mathsy: Outcome of the current game if surrendered: -1 Expectation value of the outcome of the current game if not surrendered: p_cur - (1 - p_cur) = 2*p_cur - 1 Expecation value of a random other game (analogous to the above): 2*p_avg - 1 Expected number of games you can play within the time t_cur: t_cur / t_avg Thus: Sum of the expecation values of random games played within the expected time needed to play out the current gamet: (2*p_avg - 1) * t_cur/t_avg - 1 Note that the -1 signifies the surrendered game. So the question of, is it worth it to surrender, is the question which of these expected outcomes is larger. (2*p_avg - 1) * t_cur/t_avg - 1 vs. 2*p_cur- 1 Let's throw in some numbers for the times, since those are easiest to estimate: Even the longest games usually do not take longer than an hour, which fits well with your own words: >Sure you can slug it out for 40-50 min So let's go with 45 additional minutes then. Now, according to [this here](https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/game-durations) website, games outside challenger on average last somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes. Let's go with 25, and thus calculate that our ratio of t_cur/t_avg is equal to: 45/25 = 9/5 = 1.8 Now we have to compare: (2*p_avg - 1) * 1.8 - 1 vs. 2*p_cur - 1 Let's simplify things a bit: (2*p_avg - 1) * 1.8 vs. 2*p_cur (2*p_avg - 1) * 0.9 vs. p_cur (p_avg - 0.5) * 1.8 vs. p_cur And since p_cur is positive, we can now also divide by p_cur, as well as 1.8 (= 9/5) Then we get this: (p_avg - 0.5) / p_cur vs. 5/9 So here's what that means: For every 9% chance to win the current game, your average win chance needs to be **at least** 5% higher than 50% in order for surrendering to be the better idea. Completely independent of rank or anything. Just a comparison of your chance to win games and your chance to win this game in particular. The only thing that you still need to know now is that the closer you get to your actual MMR, the closer you are to a chance to win of 50%. Which means that the closer you are to your "goal" rank (and respective MMR), the less it makes sense to surrender games when there is still a chance to win them. So here's the bottom line: There are people, whose MMR is already so close to their actual skill that every, **every** win that can still be obtained is actually important. Just because you are still climbing fast doesn't mean this applies to everybody. You may not need this win, but others may. And this isn't even touching the important part that surrendering games that can still be won does undeniably lower your chance to win games on average. So some people might even be so close to a 50% winrate, that denying them that 10% chance to win may actually halt their progress; or even make them drop in rank. Try to put yourself in other peoples' shoes before you simply decide that surrendering is "a good call". Edit: Didn't really go in-depth about the expectation values, if you have a question about any of the steps, feel free to ask.
I understand your notation, but I'm not sure where your equation is coming from. I don't think any of my previous post have had this much discussion.

: Seeing as the majority of the time i have teams start spamming the forfeit at 15 minutes and end up doing so until the end of the game, there is a term for that. It is called "giving up". It actually is reportable. The majority of my games are in normals. I do not surrender pretty much unless I or someone i know is needing to go. Hitting that forfeit is pretty much a slap on everyones screen saying that you think that the team can not under any circumstances hope to win the game. This is also a form a negativity. You can tell if someone is trolling, however i have been one of the ones doing decent in the game and being quiet, and people had been blaming each other for not surrendering at 15 minutes. Guess what? They did surrender. I didnt. Why? Because in about 80% of my games, if people actually tried thinking and working together, then we could have won those games. But no. They were too busy trying to forfeit every time the button came back up. Then they were trying to blame WHOEVER they wanted...... and then continuing on like that through the rest of the game. They knew what they were doing, they were not even trying. Should i stop trying to get better/figure out how to beat them/ wait for us to catch up so we have even grounds? No. It is that simple. A flat out definate no. If Riot was going to add a new reason to ban, it would much sooner be for spamming surrender rather than declining surrender. ------ I do know the whole people not trying thing, or just are not skilled enough in any way shape or form..... but that is no reason to punish them for declining IF that was even the person who was declining. However, people declining to hold people hostage is not something i come across really at all. People surrendering at 15 minutes and pretty much plays with that window up so they can surrender ASAP? Way too often.
Time is valuable. Sorry to say but sometimes ff at 15 is a good call. Sure you can slug it out for 40-50 min and maybe the other team will mess up, but the chance of losing at any point is still high because the snowball has already started rolling down the mountain. Many of the higher elo players ff at 15 often. They know how it goes with the way the game is right now. I consider myself a pretty honorable player and I never afk. Having to scrape through a losing game that is going to end with the enemy team steamrolling the nexus after baron anyways is not worth playing the extra 35-40 min. I'd much rather move on and take note of what went wrong early. Here is the problem. 1. It is a norms or blind pick game so the game doesn't have much weight. 2. there are 5 players per team. 3. if three players want an ff but, 2 are fine with making the other 3 play. those 3 players are stuck. Often times players who vote no do not say anything in chat. They give no reason for wanting to continue. However, when players do talk in chat and give a reason most of the time I fallow that plan or idea. "We outscale hard late game." "If we just melt down this one champ we can turn this." "Lets try to sneak baron while they do drag, if not we ff." All great examples of why I might continue playing a game that has taken a turn for the worst. However, should the players just vote no and proceed to try to 1 v 3 or get caught out (or some other thing that has no sign of an actual plan) then I believe most people could see why it's frustrating to be stuck there. I've come back from horrendous snowball games too. But they are long, hard, and few. There is a reason football teams will punt the ball away on 4th down rather than go for the hail marry play. There is a reason world class chest players will resign 15 moves in. Sometimes its better to move on to the next play or match in the series. Sometimes victory is out of reach and defeat feels bad. But dragging it out , in my opinion, is far worse than simply picking yourself back up and quickly moving on to the next game. I know it is a complex situation, but honestly some people should just learn when its time to ff.
: Moo Cow Alistar works for several various reasons. 1.) It fit a current skin theme (The halloween party type skins- e.g. Order of The Banana Soraka). 2.) It is an ironic skin (a cow in a cow costume, with a joke that says "you can't milk those" and a cow bell). 3.) It is not butt ugly and is actually an enjoyable skin from all aspects. As much as I would like to see Star Guardian Urgot, I don't. Not even remotely. I've seen a couple ideas for Dark Star Urgot, and that seems dope. Dark Star Urgot would work substantially better and be wayyyy cooler! {{champion:84}} {{champion:22}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:114}} {{champion:39}} {{champion:126}} {{champion:236}} {{champion:44}} {{champion:142}} IMO are all way better Star Guardian candidates.
: It's been DAYS since we have had an Ezreal, Lux or Miss Fortune skin, Riot.
can my boi {{champion:412}} get a skin? I feel like there are so many awesome skin concepts he could have.
: And yet due to people not surrendering, there are "lost games" being won. How would you like it if i suggested that trying to surrender should be reportable because you queued up for a game.... no matter how long it may take.... and you are now refusing to play it? Trying to ruin my time of playing the game just because you are not doing so well? Ive had a game where i swear i was in game with a 4 person queue. This was a while ago.... but i solo quadrakilled an enemy team and the team surrendered at 20 minutes when we did not even have 2 turrets lost in any lane. You talk about being held hostage? If you did not plan on playing the game then why did you queue up in the first place? Ill wait for the response.
In particular I'm talking about game were the players that are doing poorly and are causing alot of the problems are refusing to surrender. Looking at how they play tells me that our chances are slim. And when it is draft or blind there really is no big deal in ffing and moving on. I'm not saying this for ranked games. I'm talking about people who know the game is over and refuse to surrender to tilt the other players.

: Often times it can be something out of your control. For example you could be in soli with a team of 4 on your team, and they are all in the same house, then their internet goes out for example. Not much you can do about it. On the otherhand, keeping yourself less stressed while on the game will help a lot, I suggest listening to music as the easiest way to do this. Occasionally however, do not be worried about going into bot games just to beat things up, take immensely silly risks like tower diving level 1, etc. Do not troll still, but it is occasionally nice to be free of that competitiveness of normals and ranked for a bit.

: The problem i have, when that happens is that.. well, if they want to play more games they kind of expect me to play Support again, regardless if i enjoy it or not and if things don't go well most of the time they end up being one of the most toxic people i've ever met. Either that or after adding me and talking for 2 Minutes we never ever talk again until i remove them from my friendslist because i have no idea who they are. But thats just my experience.
I usually just add them and end up not playing with them again. The reason I add them, though I know we might not play again, is because of the positivism that comes with it. that and i would feel a little guilty for saying no
: Idk...it's usually the 0-3-5 mid-laner that wants to be friends....not the bad ass 12-2-4 ADC that you helped to carry the game. I *know* when I do well as supp..don't need a friend request from a wood 6 player to make me feel good.
It was my adc actually. (who I fed to high heaven) As far as feeling good goes, its just nice to have someone recognize you did a good job in a roll that is all too often thankless.

While there are two sides to the argument, that being: 1. Tyler1's past player behavior was horrible and he deserves the perma ban. 2. Tyler1 has improved with player behavior, he has continued to promote riot's game ,he is being vouched for by other prominent streamers and others who have been perma banned in the past have come back. While they could just go with an apology and punish the rioter involved the #freetyler1 movement will most likely increase. Not addressing #freetyler1 or completely ignoring the whole situation would be the worst decision riot could make as a company.

: If the jungler is applying pressure bot lane, taking dragons, counter jungling, killing mid lane repeatedly, etc.? Let it happen, because your fed ADC/Mid/Jungle will kill their fed top laner. Farm the couple jungle camps in your own jungle on top side when you can just to stay relevant, but stay on the top side and don't take his bot side camps (chances are he isn't farming his top side if he's applying pressure bot lane anyway). If your jungler is not helping you, not applying pressure elsewhere, not counter jungling, and being toxic? Start taking his camps instead of laning. Leave your lane, let the enemy laner push it all the way to the nexus towers if you have to. Just take all the jungler's camps that you can, especially his buffs. The gold and experience from farming the jungle will help you stay relevant in the game and also make you not feed the enemy laner. It'll also take away options from your jungler, which forces them to either counter jungle, help you fight back in lane, or apply pressure elsewhere on the map.

I'v played cod and in my experience with both games, league 3 years, cod from about 12 to 17 years old, I find that for me league is far more toxic. It's because in league people expect you to play well. Never before in cod have I gotten screamed at by a teammate for not doing well. People just don't care as much. In my experience at least.
