: Hey Riot the Irelia Trailer is nice and it looks great but...

: "X Rioter made a bad gameplay design in my opinion and therefore should lose their job!"
My favorite, when it comes to the food industry, is when the person ordering is the one who forgot. You didn't want onions on your burger? Why didn't you order it that way..? Oh you forgot, well then stop yelling at me for _your_ mistake please. I don't get this pitchfork mentality and I'm glad I never will. Change happens whether you like it or not. If Riot doesn't like the change, they will revert it or change it till it works. But to demand someone to lose their livelihood over something that doesn't affect you personally? Too much wrong with that thought process..
: Idk I just don't see how it isn't objectively selfish. Banning what you want is good for one person (yourself) and bad for 1-4 other people. Banning what the team wants is good for 1-4 people and bad for one person (yourself) You have the ability to decide for yourself at the end what to ban. What would be unfair is you not having the final call in whether or not you get to ban a champ. But when people are suggesting bans, they aren't influencing that. It is just a suggestion, saying "can someone please ban X" isn't forcing you to do anything. I can't see how that's selfish. If you FORCE it onto people, then it's selfish. EXPECTING people to do that is usually selfish too.
If they _really_ wanted the champion banned so bad, they person would use it themselves. Now that everyone gets a ban, the responsibility is your own, not anyone else, to ban what you don't want. You get 1 ban, make it count. If I am going to support and know what I'm weak against, I'm going to ban that. Especially if my ban benefits both myself and my adc. With this system, there should no longer be a "can someone please ban X" since you can ban it yourself. edit: spelling error
: How much DPS can a tank take in a Patchwork Fight?
I can see where you're coming from, but you also have to remember. Different tanks will effect this situation differently. Compare a Naut to a Rammus, the damage output on Ashe changes slightly. New Sej? Even more. Not even just Ashe, but the entire enemy teams damage output changes. Anyone who says they die in 3 seconds needs to look at level difference, item difference and what abilities they have maxed if before 16.
: I don't get this perception about tanks dying super fast. Whenever I play Poppy I feel invincible.
When I play Poppy... oh wait, no I don't. xD
: Why do you play your primary role, and would you ever consider changing it?
Mid/Support and I wouldn't change them. Went through too many seasons trying to change roles and I settled into what I like. I have a handful of champions that I enjoy and that's who I play and will always play. Too stubborn to change. Mid for the 1v1 pressure. Unlike top, it's not a farm fest as action is much closer and easier to get to. Support for keeping the team alive and helping out where I can. Not just limited to the adc, wards also help jungle and mid depends on gametime and placement. No better feeling than keeping your team up in a huge fight and walking away with all 5 people alive.

The problem with that thought is her passive isn't all about the armor/mr, the % increase against the dragon.. whether it be elemental or elder.. is more of a benefit to your team than the small increase to armor and mr. As for no flame trail, I'll take the exploding ball and tick damage over it. Watching it being used in game shows me it's a better trade off imo. Shyvana is an engage and chaser, not running away and dealing damage.
: New Shyvana is amazing and strong
I keep seeing people say "nerfs" yet the _only_ thing I've seen on this rework that could be considered a nerf was the change to her human form E. Shyvana is not a tank nor is she designed like one. She is an objective control/lane diver. The change to her passive has made her stronger for dragon control, the change to her ult allows her to engage no problem and makes her build even stronger when it comes to items like Titanic Hydra. Or like Poppy, easy kit but passive provides fun play that is not always predictable it lets their kit not be super boring and adds depth to the game while keeping mechanics low. The poppy changes were, in my opinion, one of the best changes to a champion I've seen. It helped her become a fun to play cham, pion without completely complicating her kit. It's a wonderful example of adding a hint of complexity without ruining the gameplay.
: Some people actually enjoy simple kits...
I love my simple kits. Morgana: Passive: Spellvamp Q- root W- AoE E- spell shield R- Slow then stun Lux: Passive- AA after landing an ability Q- Root with potential second root W- AoE Slow/Damage E- Shield/Shield R- Line KA-BOOM Cho'Gath: Q- AoE knock up and slow W- Cone silence E- AA enhancer R- Nom to gain health Not saying having a complex kit is bad, but don't ruin my gameplay preference because of it.

Q: Who do you main, and why? I.. don't adc. but {{champion:18}} and {{champion:51}} are my favorites in terms of playstyle.. maybe {{champion:222}} Q: Do you prefer one trick or diversity? A: Kinda like a mix of both. Simple for things like jungle and top, diverse for mid and support. Q: Do you play ranked? When did you start? What did you achieve each season? What are your goals? A: I started ranked back in season 2 and every season until this one, kinda working on it.. but I prefer ranked 3's which EVERYONE hates. Highest I've gotten is Silver, but that's okay ^^ As for my goals, is to test if my favorite champions still survive in the new game style. Surprisingly, they do! Q: When did you start playing League, and who was your first champion? A: I first started league long long ago.. I think it was just before season 1 ranked. I saw Annie and that she summoned a bear and was hooked. Morgana was my first purchased champion with Sona my first support. Q: What are your favorite things about League? A: The artwork and music, seeing how the maps and styles have evolved over the years. Basically, I'm not a gameplay junky.. but an art and feel junky. Q: Have you made friends through playing League? A: I've made and lost friends with league. :/ Q: What does your summoner name mean and why did you pick it? A: Name. One Piece. Nickname. Simple and easy for me to remember. Q: Lastly, do you think you will still be playing in five years? A: Depends on the community and friends. I'd say yes considering how easy it is to pick up again after a break.

But heaven forbid someone actually looks at what they are doing, instead of looking to place blame on others.
: Back when I was an extreme noob at this game...
I remember back when I first started playing that I relied on my friends advice for buying items. I played Annie mid and he told me to always buy a Doran's Ring when I went back. Getting or seeing blamed being placed on someone else for a mistake. Like top not warding river and being over extended.. dying to gank and blaming their jungler for no presence. : How To Use Items
: Stop judging people on what champion they select
It's not even just in champ select either. Sometimes it's in game due to the person having bad experiences with that champion before. I accidentally killed the enemy support as Sona and my adc gave up saying I was taking all the kills. I was 1/1/3.. The toxic attitude is something that isn't going to go away anymore, but we can at least _try_ to make things better. I go into some games skeptical of my teams champion choices, but at the end of the day, if your Riven top feeds.. was it because they are bad, or because they were struggling? Gaining bonus armor means nothing due to the Armor pen in the game's Runes, Masteries and Items. A flat Damage reduction would work better, but that would feel like a huge cop-out in my opinion. They just did this whole mount targon thing, why not update Leona a bit to fit the current game instead of letting her sit in an odd state. I agree she could use a rework beyond just giving her autos more value after her ult. Something to add some 'Flare' to her kit.
W Eclipse ACTIVE: Leona charges her shield with sunlight, reducing basic attack damage for 3 seconds. She then erupts at the end of the duration, dealing magic damage to all nearby enemies and keeping Eclipse's bonuses for an additional 3 seconds if she damages at least one target. Damage reduction: 20/25/30/35/40% (+20% bonus armor)(+20% bonus magic resist) Magic Damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (+20% AP) This way, the ability still feels familiar, but is drastically different in terms of survival in bot lane. EDIT: You can change basic attack damage to Physical damage for a similar effect, but a broader range of defense. The idea is Leona uses this huge shield.. let her actually USE the shield to survive.
: A suggestion from a Leona main
With how the ADC champions are working currently, her W needs a major tweek.
: Imaginary, The Lost Mind
I like the concept, so let's break down each ability a little. Passive: Essentially a mini guardian angel but I feel the health % is too low to count for anything. CC immunity is fine, but with your health so low it seems a little weak. Instead of every so often, have the health return scale with level. It can start with 5% and end at 22% at lvl 18. Cooldown should reflect it's ability but get a little shorter, shortest timer at about 60-90 seconds. Q: Here's where I can see the champion shining, but also seeing it become a problem. Hybrid damage is appealing but can cause slight building issues for the opponent. We have to think if we want more physical or magical damage, so we'd adjust based on that. I see a void champion as more Magic type, so I'll make her physical attacks weaker to compensate. The passive will not use bonus ad, instead using all AD but at a weaker %. We'll say .06 AP and .03 AD. The active will reflect this with a .12 AP and .06 AD. Base numbers can always be adjusted as needed, but %'s are important to start. W: Seeing how teleports, blanks and dashes have been working this is much too strong for a W ability. In play, .5 seconds can be devastating for engage/disengage so instead, treat it similar to Zac's leap. The range continues to increase the longer you hold the ability, but not activating it puts it on cooldown. This change allows for good disengage while allowing for a better engage. Better prep time means a cleaner and more worth while use of the ability. E: I like active damage reduction but I feel tweaking the numbers slightly higher will make it better, personally. 60/65/70/75/80 mana for 6/12/18/24/30% damage reduction for 3 seconds. Attack speed buff shouldn't be as strong against Jungle camps, it lets her shine in team fights. Using W followed by an Instant E is great for Jungle engage, allowing her to have a presence without making it too strong. It also lets her Q become more useful since she can get into the fray and stay there. R: This ability honestly confused me at first. It's like a strange version of gangplanks ult that requires her to attack to be useful, so I feel the odds of her getting the full effect doesn't feel likely and the stun is a little clunky to me. I will write out a version and see how you like the idea. R: The Dream/Awakened, Cooldown 200/180/160, Mana 100, Range 700, Radius 1000/1250/1500 Imaginary causes an area of the map she targets to become a 'dream' for 8/13/18 seconds. Among the cosmic beauties she gains 30/45%/60% movement speed, while allies recieve half. Imaginary's basic attacks within the dream are infused with stars, dealing 10/15/20+.1 AP/.1 AD in magic damage in a small radius. If an enemy champion dies within the dream, the effect immediately ends and Imaginary rapidly heals for the % health of her Passive's current bonus. Overall I like the idea {{summoner:4}}
: Spellsword Concept
I like the concept, but I would change a few things personally. First, her passive is a great idea, but having each book affect every spell is a little too intense for my tastes. I think each book affecting either her Q W or E would make for better counter play and on the fly changes. Second her first ult is okay but a 3 second silence might be too strong. Instead of a scaling silence time, have it be flat at 6/11/16. So at 6 it's 1, next rank 1.5 and final rank 2. It's a good squishy or healer eliminator. Third is the Archon form ult. With the idea change I gave on the passive, this can help archon form be more appealing. All abilities gain the book effect instead of all 3 schools. It would make balancing just a bit easier, imo. Having cooldowns halved might be too strong, so why not an ability like what kog has for attack speed? Why not gain a % of cdr that isn't affected by the cap, or have her current cdr doubled and not affected by the cap? Also, as a personal thing, I feel for what this ability does, halving mana will be too strong. The reduction on ability timers and the ranged bolt make it good enough without the mana cost changes. Overall I like it. The theme is clear and we need more "pure mages" imo.

But she doesn't really cover the mage fantasy. Moon lady is not at all what I want, and just like Kat, Akali, LeBlanc and Nid she marks things. But she is still a very good champion. Ahri I tried to main. She is okay, like a more complicate, less cool version of Kassadin. Moon Lady? How old are you 15 lol. Actually I think {{champion:38}} is more complicated than {{champion:103}} since he not only has to manage CD of his abilities, his mana cost changes on his ult (depending on the charges) and the charges required to use his E. Ahri only has to worry about CDs and her passive which conveniently make her model change so is easy to know when is up.
If "Moon Lady" grants insults, maybe you should take your opinion elsewhere. As for Kassadin.. it's a click target Q, passive/active W, an E that gives a visual when ready and an ult that you dont spam randomly. vs Ahri.. Skillshot Q that goes to and from, W that attacks on it's oen randomly, E skillshot that can be blocked by minions and a 3 dash ult that can leave you mispositioned if done incorrectly. Comparing the 2, Kassadin is much more forgiving here. Ahri's passive is just as visual as Kassadin's E. Kassadin can use his ult to engage and disengage safer than Ahri's ult. Also, all mages have to manage cooldowns, so that's kinda a mute point.

: So you've read my comments and come to the conclusion I play in an ideal world? So I'm guessing you just skipped over things like... > Keeping a positive attitude =/= focusing on yourself. Hell I've had my rage moments, and times I've flat out ignored my entire team because I was pissed. I'm not immune to those things, and if I have been giving that vibe off I'm sorry. > The thing is though is when I have those games I step away. When I realize I have hit a point that I can't talk to my team or work with them I take a break, go do homework, housework, talk to friends, play other games, whatever I need to do to chill out before I let that tilt drag me down, that was a lesson I learned the hard way when I went on tilt and dropped from Gold 1 to Gold 4 in like a day. or > It isn't flawless and it won't always work but you might be surprised at how often it does. I've said my approach isn't a 100% guarantee but I've been trying to stress is that when you actually try to make things about the team and putting people in the best place for them to succeed playing what/how they want to play it is very likely that you will be surprised with the results. Thing is you don't want to hear this. What you want to hear is "oh your right everyone is just trolls and you are the best thing in the whole wide world and Faker/Pawn/Madlife/every other pro should worship at the alter of TonyDKuma who is so amazing but held down by horrible team mates." Sorry but it's you who is living in a fantasy world of thinking you are better than you really are. Let me give you an example of what I mean when I say accepting the responsibility for your team. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1777963785/43282169?tab=overview Take a good look at match overview. You will notice a few things right off the bat. It starts off with Vayne and GP both getting killed, Lux gets killed in a dive but at least takes one with them and even when I manage to gank top to get GP a kill we are punished when Vi takes a dragon. Both the enemy Jinx and Yasuo get fed as my top and bot laners are "feeding" left and right. What do I do? Do I bitch at them, call them feeders, and say "gg surrender at 20?" No I rush a Frozen Heart and Thornmail to help contain them as threats and stall the game out until Vayne can come back into it and Lux can get her core items. Not only this but if you look at 39:00 you see how we got our first inhibitor. From then my team kept trying to group mid to "push and end" even though we didn't really have that luxury because Vayne was still 2/8 at the time, and Ryze has come online making an out right team fight difficult. Did I call my team idiots, tell them they are stupid and are the reason we lost? No I explained "guys mid lane will take care of itself with super minions, if we go top or bot we can use the pressure from the super minions to get more turrets/inhibs and win this game." Wouldn't you know it with a little bit of common sense explanation they didn't beat their heads against mid lane anymore and proceeded to group around me to put pressure on top lane, even getting a catch on the enemy Vi while Vayne got dragon, and then Lux was able to snipe Yasuo with her ult after he killed Vayne. This is taking responsibility, I didn't bitch at them, I didn't fight them, I didn't throw accusations or complaints at them. I built to give my team the best tank it could with how big specific members of the enemy team where, and coached strategy the best I could when my team in general didn't really know how to use it's advantages. Like it or not you are in the game with your team, together, and when they make mistakes you need to be aware of how to account for them to help your team win. It isn't about you in this game, and it never will be, and as long as you have that mentality you will never climb. As for your little line about bot lane. Bot lanes are often won and lost at level 2 as all ins are extremely common, Thresh hook+Flay, Leona E+Q, Annie Flash W stun+Q+ignite, I could go on. Liss using Flash at level 2 with her W+Q+Ignite while draven does his thing would be exactly how you play that and you want to know how you make sure it happens? "Guys your best chance to take advantage is going to be level 2-3 all ins. Push just enough to get the level advantage early so you can hit hard while they are still a level behind you." I know communication it's a radical thought.
Cool, if we're comparing match history http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1776864533/33418894?tab=overview Draven first blood, Liss building a rod of ages. Now that wouldn't bug me so much, but we were told "I'm not building a sight stone". No support items..just 1 Mage item and boots. Not much of a support. Also, your rage is IN the game. Everything you describe happens after the game has started. Mine are pre-game, in the LOBBY. I've played games where it just felt pointless to be there, but I played them anyway. Do you honestly believe people want to spend 20-30 minutes watching their "teammates" argue and talk smack to each other? No, didn't think so. Another things: " I know communication it's a radical thought." and " It isn't about you in this game, and it never will be, and as long as you have that mentality you will never climb." Kinda hard to communicate with people who are determined to do what they want, and ignore everyone else. Not everyone listens to teamwork thoughts. I also haven't said once that it's all about me. I said I play with what I'm given, like everyone else does. I write in chat to let people know if an enemies missing, or what I'm about to do. Yet you assume all I do is rage and flame, so kudos for showing ignorance on that one. As long as we keep this discussion up, I'll keep informing you of the reality of ranked. I'm currently in my promo series, so I'll have fresh data to show you just how bad it can be in the lobby when individuals decide for themselves how they will win, with no regards for the team. If I win a game or two, great, triumphed over the obstacle. If we lose, I'll have more proof for you.
: Its funny, and a little ironic, that you are trying to use a team work argument considering our sides of the debate are going along the lines of... Me--You should be flexible and work with your team so people can get a spot they will enjoy and play their best in, and avoid the fighting and drama garbage that goes with it. Yours--I want to punish people who have degree of disagreement with a team mate as oppose to attempting to work through it. Your lack of ability to see just how much you are attempting to absolve yourself in any part of what goes on in your own games while attempting to claim the "I'm a team player" stance would be comical if it wasn't so sad. Part of being on a team means accepting responsiblity for everything that happens on that team. You play a part in the whole and you can do everything in your power to make it thrive, or you can keep pissing, moaning, and failing as you constantly shift blame more and more. Cool you where last pick, I've handled very similar situations from every pick level in a draft. Another fun fact while Liss isn't optimal in bot lane with a draven who has very strong early game she could help push while poking with her Q to ensure her side gets an early level 2 and then all in with flash W, Q ignite with Draven using his Q empowered AAs and W to chase and have a fairly good chance if getting a kill to start the snowballing. At 6 with her ult and W lshe should easily be able to set up kills for the draven as well. Its not Thresh/annie but it isn't worthless either, frankly the statement "she brings no CC" was rather ignorant as I believe Naut is the only other champ in the game with more CC than Liss. You where right on 1 thing, but not for the reasons you think. There was nothing you could do, because you already decided when Kha and Liss had their misunderstanding that "whelp got trolled gg" before the game even started. When you start the game off saying "nothing I can do" then grats nothing is exactly what you will do.
Wow, you make such a great argument making yourself seem like the nice guy..except you sure do know how to point out parts and not the whole thing. First off, reading your posts, I can see you live in the world where everything just seems to go right. Nobody ever argues and just always agree right? Except, that hasn't been like that for me. I don't want the system to punish those who disagree. I want the system for those who are OBVIOUSLY there to just make the game hell. I do what I can with the options given to me, but when I watch my team fall apart even before the game loads, yeah I'm not going to be in the best of moods. but this: "Part of being on a team means accepting responsiblity for everything that happens on that team. You play a part in the whole and you can do everything in your power to make it thrive, or you can keep pissing, moaning, and failing as you constantly shift blame more and more." Now that just made me laugh. Yes, let me accept the blame that our Mid has been killed by the enemy jungle. Or that Bot lane lost it's tower for being over aggressive. It's completely my fault, sorry guys. Meanwhile, our jungle has put pressure where they can and top has evenly traded for most the game. Not saying I'm perfect, but damn..I sure could've helped out bot in the first 10minutes. Also, trying to tell me that Liss can bring any form of cc to a lane partner that is all or nothing, is amazing. Yes, she can poke until the cows come home. However, She is required to be in the action to be fully effective. Right in the face of the enemy adc and support who have been bullying them all day. Also, saying that Dravens support should throw all their chips in is a gamble most aren't willing to take with someone they've never played with before. And yeah, I was correct in my reason for the right reason. A team that has fallen apart before the game has started is doomed to fail when nobody trusts each other. As you fail to see this because of your oh so perfect game set-ups, I would expect you to not understand this.
: You know the whole "people can't control others" line you lead off with? Yeah that was my entire point. You can't control other people and you shouldn't be trying. You can control yourself, you can get better at the roles you suck at so you can actually be flexible, me going top lane used to be instant lose now its something I tend to win even in counter match-ups. But you are not doing that. You are focusing on your team fighting, you are focusing on Kha, not you, going mid amd forcing Liss, not you, going to support. Where were you in the pick order? What role did you play? Could you of played a different role? If not why? Is there always going to be something you can do? No. But honestly I would be willing to bet you my account that if I watched every game you have ever played it would only be a hand full of games you couldn't of done something about.
You do know that this is a team game right? 5v5..not 1 or 2 vs 5, but the whole team? Because if you did, you'd know that there needs to be teamwork to win anything. So trying to get a good group to at least play well with each other is a diamond in the ruff with the ranked system. Funny how you try to turn this on me. I was LAST pick, so last in the line. Kha was first Liss was 4th. Liss locked in thinking they were mid, so obviously they weren't reading chat. When Kha let her know this they went, "Oh, I'll support then." With flash and Ignite on Liss. Know what was left? Top, so I went Panth. So before you try turning this around, no..there wasn't a thing I could do. We needed a Top, because Liss refused it to support. And Liss knew there was a Draven adc, knowing she brings almost no cc to bot lane, but refused Top. What am I supposed to do? Start an argument with Liss for not going Top lane? Also, I AM going to focus on Kha going mid, considering they were the one to start the whole Mid argument in the first place. And you can keep your account. I don't know about you, but the run of the mill trolls, arguments and people who are there just to make rank climbing hell..make this a much needed system.

Awesome response, except for the part where you forget that it takes 4 people. 4 people who haven't met. Good luck convincing people to kick for your reason. As long as people follow their lane, most people don't care about champ picks. This is more for the "___ or feed" or for others that instantly lock in without any communication with their team. So please, think a little bit before posting something so ignorant.{{summoner:4}}

If there was a vote to dodge, people who got last pick could just say they are trolling to get out of playing support or losing lp. Too easy to abuse for all the reason listed above. You don't like their champ pick, kick, don't like being counter picked abuse that feature and kick someone randomly and use that excuse. Riot's stated on numerous occasions this isn't ever going to happen because it would be abused too much and ppl would just dodge till they got the best matchups, trolls would abuse it etc.
Except you have to convince other people to kick. Just because someone initiates it doesn't mean it will go through. Heck, even if there was a duo, that's only 2 votes. if 1 out of 4 votes no..guess what, then it doesn't go through.
: You know what I am finding to be the most interesting thing about all this? Its the excuses people have for why they can't be part of the problem. It was always the troll and the person who fought them is completely innocent, its always the feeder and not the 10/0 you who just kept to their own lane as if this was a 1v1 game, its always the afk and you didn't do anything wrong. Want to know the difference between someone like me who climbed into gold and someone like you who is stuck in bronze dealing with all the "trolls?" I learned to be flexible and enjoy playing every role so I didn't have to fight and could use that flexibility to smooth out those fights "hey just let him have mid you can still have a solo lane top and zed will be fine there I'll grab something tanky in the jungle and we'll be fine." I don't look at my last 20/5 Cassio game and say "damn that afk Vayne we lost cuz of her" and instead say "damn we could of won had I not picked a bad fight that let the enemy team pick me off." I accepted a long time ago that the only constant in my league games is me, if I keep encounting the same problem over and over again the only constant is me It isn't the same troll every game, it isn't the same feeder every game, but it is the same me every game and that is who I can change to get better and to climb. Why did I tell the OP that he needs to check himself and that he could very well be part of the problem? Because he is the only constant that he can address and if he, and the rest of you, don't realize that then you belong in the division you are in.
Except people can't control others. Sorry, but not everyone can go everywhere off the bat. I played nothing but support for years and only recently have been trying other roles. But even I know that when someone called a lane, but they are lower in cue..someone isn't going to be happy. At that moment one of two things happen. Either 1, they just shrug it off and go with the flow..or 2, they decide "Welp, I didn't get what I want so trollololol." If you happy to be so lucky, that you have never experienced this type of behavior, then good on you. But sitting here telling people, "It's not them, it's you." Is so much bs it hurts. I just lost my last promo match due to top and jungle fighting. Kha decided to go mid, pushing Lissandra to be a support. Yeah, I could totally control could I?
