Right now you've got: - BE sucks - Leveling sucks - Yasuo is cancer - Zoe is cancer - Runes are imbalanced - Towers suck - The community is more toxic than ever - Riot is buffing people that don't need buffs. - Riot is nerfing people that don't need nerfs. - Riot is re-working people that don't need re-works. - Rioters are legitimately arguing like children with people all over the boards over stupid shit. - Games are too snowbally - Tanks do too much damage - Bruisers don't exist - ADCs do too much damage - Mages not named Xerath or Zoe don't exist - 80% of the champion pool isn't even played - Champion Mastery is too expensive - The client is buggy - The minimap is buggy (big blue squares) Just to name a few things people are complaining about. I'm sure there's more. There are sweeping issues that majorly impact the enjoyability of the game. Its not just one or two things exclusive to 1 or 2 champions or 1 or 2 roles, or a particular queue or game mode... Its fucking EVERYTHING.

(Though the minion stuff is bs) - Community is fine, and it's your imagination. - Agree - & Agree. Buffs and nerfs are wack. - ADCs damage is fine. - Mages need diversity, Masteries please. - Since when has there not been a FOTM? - BE is easier to get than IP, I don't agree. lol. Also, Mastery is a cosmetic. - Clients way too buggy - Minimap needs updating. Community is psychopathic as always, and it's a beautiful cancer.

???? Silver 2, talking on a gameplay board when? LOL Wtf are you doing responding to a 20 day old message? Shouldn't you be working to climb so that you can atleast play and understand this game at a basic level above new players?
: We decided to set the return rate for the overall system rather than individual runes because that way it's easier for you to count out how much you'll be getting back. Just count all your regular T3 runes X 100BE and all your T3 quints X 300. We could've gone through and set lower rates for 200IP runes and higher rates for the most expensive ones but it all would have been just a sort of complicated way of getting at the same result.
It's not really cool to get 100 BE (A less valuable resource back) for runes that cost 820. Personally, as a player who has been playing since season 3, and has 160k IP invested in runes I want to quit. From 150k IP, i get 15k ip back from marks / seals / glyphs from quints i get: 10,200 back from quints... These things aren't adequate compensation for my time. I'm missing 5 champions, and boy, this isn't even enough for me to buy them. Never mind an URFWICK skin or Chromas that i (otherwise) would be able to pay for if i wasn't an idiot and invested towards my future in this game. While all of my friends spent IP on champions and sat with 2 rune pages, I invested in runes and got punished. I'm not a season 1 player, i'm a season 3 player. I'm not interested in an icon, and i'm not interested in an emote or a flare. I'm okay with 40%, but anything less feels TERRIBLE. It feels terrible negotiating for this with a crook of a company. (I understand profit, but this shouldn't have been a profit point anyways with your model.)
Azoreili (NA)
: Summary of all these IP/Rune refund threads;
I want my .4 total IP spent on runes refund. 100 BE isn't remotely close to 820 runes. I didn't spend 200k IP on runes because it was a fun intuitive system. I spent that because it was an obligatory way to play EVERY champion optimally. If you're going to remove something that i've played thousands of games to pay for, at least give me a partial refund. I was okay with 50k coming back because i could finish off the 10 champion i don't own... but litterally 100 / 300 gives me a fraction of that.

: How do you figure that things have more effective HP? 80 armor with 600 hp on randuins? Yea give me something that has more effective hp than that. How about 1200 hp warmogs vs 600 warmogs? More hp where? Should we talk about having 100/second in combat regen? Where is that effective hp?
you legit have no clue what ur talking about xd This is actually cancerous to game design mr giggles 0 clue
: Was season 5 the Cinderhulk meta? If so, I agree with you 1000%
GigglesO (NA)
: Having a larger variety doesn't mean the items themselves are stronger.
Except that i laid out, they have more effective HP. They're stronger. Read please. (Also, this doesn't account for the % Resistances on Randuins / Adaptive helm or champion abilities like Galio/WW/Jax.)
: At least it is better than the previous 2 second threshold
I remember some pretty epic 1 minute teamfights from season 5... Season 5 was the gold standard tbh
: > sunfire > great addition Uh... 99% sure that sunfire has literally always been in the game. At the very least, it's been around since late in the alpha. It had slightly less armour, slightly more health, and double the damage to champions until season 4. It also cost 400 less. The _only_ way you can argue that tank items are stronger now is stoneplate. They might be more varied now, but they're almost certainly weaker. Oh, and the MR items are only better if you want damage. FoN had 76 MR, Spirit visage was so good for regen (and at times had the same amount of MR as it does now), Banshee's veil is rarely built these day even though it has more MR, and Runic Bulwark gave 55 MR to you and 25 to the rest of your team.
Sunfire has, but it's not really the same item it was.. It used to be a 45 Armor + / 500 HP + 25 + char level dmg over time for 2500 gold. Now it gives 60 Armor + 425Hp and does 12-29 dmg (twice to monsters) Randuins gives 400 HP + 60 Armor and -20% Crit (2900 gold) Old Randuins: 500 HP + 70 Armor (3000 gold) Deadmans plate: Did Not exist, but: 425 Health + 60 Armor (2900 gold) So compared to the past We have: Another slot efficient Armor + HP item, True resists against critical. In terms of before and after the HP shift with the LW changes, it was even mathematically. With the recent HP buffs, Armor / HP items are stronger than they were before. There was a reddit / boards thread for this data before. With the changes, you have more effective health but a lower HP pool (even after penetration.) In terms of MR: We lost banshees and got buffs on Spirit visage, and an item to protect against sustained magic damage. 400 HP + 55 Magic Resist + 100% Base HP regen + 10% CDR (Healing passive: 20%) 2750g 450 HP + 55 Magic Resist + 100% Base HP regen + 10% CDR (Healing Passive: 30%) 2800g Banshees: 300 + 70 Magic resist + Spell shield passive 350 + 55 Mres + 100 base Hp regen + 10% CDR + 20% repeated spell rest Relatively, Mres is similar to season 3/4/5, but unlike before tanks now have an item that covers their weakness of sustained damage. Blocking a single spell was more important for carries and fighters. Another thing to note is that AP itemization is much weaker in terms of AP than it was back then and with less utility. Mres is in a great spot. Itemization now is better than it was before. Not season 2 OP, but it's better than it has been the past 4 seasons. You're biased. xd

You say that, and yet I much prefer this new way. Old League had massive periods of dead time where one team had a big lead but couldn't really do anything with it except bleed the enemy out and wait for neutral objectives. Teams that are stomping end much faster now and I much prefer that both on the winning and losing team. Stalling for late game was never really that fun.
I didn't enjoy Anivia / Ziggs and co. being able to do that either. New baron still deals with them well, and that's something i don't want reverted.
: Bronzie here, I too hate it when players take new champs into ranked. As if isn't hard enough for Bronzies to win w/champ they are comfortable with.
xd diamond here, we're mentally handicapped too dw. Somethings just don't change.
GigglesO (NA)
: I don't think it is damage creep alone...
No? Defensive itemization is stronger than it was in season 3. While Randuins may have taken a few hits, sunfire and deadman's were great additions and there are far more & stronger magic resistance items. It has to do with Keystones and snowballing. Keystones were an absolutely dreadful addition to this game, and i would prefer the small stat masteries of season 4 and 5.
Mig89 (NA)
: I had an hour and 15 minute long game yesterday because it was a jhin and I with a bunch of support type teammates. It was fucking epic. I miss those long games that could go either way if one person messes up. It was down to the wire Their team was taking baron at the end, we both had one ally dead. I was Vayne and was in the river bush right below baron. I ulted tumbled and was able to three shot jhin before anyone noticed. I died, but all their damage was dead at that point and my team just finished them off. I bought a total of four elixers that game and had over 10k even after being full build and swapping items around.
I actually miss wet noodle fight games in the sense of season 5. Most of my fondest memories are from the Sejuani Perma ban meta.. around that time.

It's historically fast to the point where ff@15 is a thing... I see 27:30 in plat down to 24:30 in challenger. That seems fast but it's really only a couple minutes faster on average compared to season 5 and less than a minute faster compared to last season. People act like they shaved off 5 minutes or more per game but it's really been way, way less than that.
A lot of it comes down to the roaming meta and damage mobility creep making games seem a lot faster, but with that comes games feeling over quicker. It's not really the most rewarding thing in the world.
: Rabadons is purely AP. If a mage wanted a pure AP powerspike, it should be a legitimate item choice on someone that has really high ratios. But it's not, cause it's shit. IE should be better later on, once you have other crit items built to scale with its passive. But it's fine, cause it's not shit.
I remember when power spikes looked something like: {{champion:10}} {{item:3020}} {{item:3115}} {{item:3089}} {{item:3100}} With the case of AP / CDR / Mana item Deathcap Voidstaff Utility items (Lichbane, DFG, Zhonya's Hourglass, Rylai's) Mages are far from their glory days. Especially with the AP scaling nerfs over the years.

: Why would pros want to extend games longer than 40+ minutes? Just curious. Unless they're behind and their comp out-scales the enemy team, there's no benefit to prolonging a game. Doing so is also a very risky & unreliable tactic.
Some team comps require a certain amount of scaling and prefer that their towers go down. They delay the teamfight phase. (Bot tower goes down, and suddenly your lategame adc can freeze and scale.) It's a 5s thing.
: I see games go late all the time so I have no idea where this "every game is a FF@20 stomp" idea comes from.
Average game time in high plat and diamond is 25 minutes. It's historically fast to the point where ff@15 is a thing...
Sraeg2013 (EUNE)
: Frankly Karma doesn't compare to Janna and Lulu. She's a mid lane reject that doesn't build AP, so her actual shield and peel is worthless. It's all tied to the player face-rolling the keyboard over all active items.
*Missing pings* She has: A slow, a 3 second root, and a large full team shield that can proc ardent?
: No what it needs is a rework. The item is a relic from a bygone era of this game when raw AP mattered because your other options where simply worse. Now however Morellos, Void staff, Liandries, Bnashees, Zhonyas, Hextec Ludens and Rylias have all received updates making them better options and leaving Dcap in the dust. Simply put raw AP isn't enough to make an item worth buying anymore and a simple cost change won't change it either. It needs to be reworked in some way to update the item for what the game is now.
The way i'm going to explain this is simple. This is like looking at a multiplicative scaling class, to a static class. So the way Marksmen scale is they take AD + Attack Speed + Crit + Penetration. Bruisers typically function in the regards that they want to make their abilities do damage, but abilities have a Base + Scaling + CDR component that also works with auto attacks. Now think of it this way: Mages have a sort of "Cross breed" between ability based champions that have certain power windows, and Marksmen. While some scale, A lot of them get power from their abilities and want them to be effective as soon as possible. The vast majority of mages under this system spike with levels, CDR and penetration. Since Magic resist got buffed, and AP got nerfed, Penetration + CDR give the highest damage combination while having more utility. Deathcap is a lategame item in a meta that's based around early game rotations and maximizing damage to squishies. TLDR: It needs buffs to compete with other mid game itemization choices because it's got a bad build path and other choices are crowding out diversity. (However, that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of AP itemization is very lackluster currently and could use a sweep of buffs.)

: Why are most ADC's on auto-pilot for the first 5 minutes of game?
The thing about ADC and carry roles in general is that they tend to require a combination of Levels and Gold to be effective. These roles often have vastly different play styles at different spots on the ladder, and something i say here as a Plat / Diamond isn't going to make as much sense in silver 4. Anyway, i would say that the correct way to play the laning phase currently is to try and keep the wave centered (Match Push) and try and scale up until you hit that two item power spike. (Champions like Twitch, Tristana, Caitlyn, etc. thrive on IE + Zeal item). Since two items are required to be relevant in the game, it's typically more of a farm role until mid game. (P.S. Any adc that auto shoves the wave without context is terrible, and that should be easily punished)

: most rivens and fioras don't know how to play their champs at an adequate level, and then build glasscannon when they are feeding. Before fiora got nerfed though I would agree with you, unless you picked a counter.
Riven litterally only builds damage. Building tanky does nothing for her kit, unlike other champions
