I can understand rune pricing, but rune pages is what I don't understand. You let us have 20 mastery pages from level 1, why do I need to pay for rune pages? Runes are already expensive as hell, but buying rune pages just crosses the line for me. That's why I only play with an AD and an AP page; buying rune pages is the least satisfying thing ever.

: Before i say this, let it be known that I am a huge hypocrite, but I hate when people play their first game with someone in ranked (I do this too but I seem to get lucky most the time, but like i said, im a hypocrite.)
I really don't have a problem with this depending on the situation. If you're first timing with someone who's not relatively hard to play/understand, or if you're a high enough rank to understand game mechanics so playing new champions doesn't really make a difference, go ahead, play whoever. But if you're trying to play Azir in silver 4 without any experience of how his kit works, then you're pretty much a troll.
: Except it is. Or at least, if they don't "prefer" DQ, they don't care, and they are using it anyway. See Hyrum Graff Fact checking thread with 11% of people really hate DQ. So yeah, players prefer/don't care DQ.
Why are you digressing? Has absolutely nothing to do with how many people hate DQ, it's about DQ preference badges being given for no apparent reason. Preference definition: a greater liking for one alternative over another or others. If you choose A over B 92% of the time, you a preference for A over B. OP played/won 92% of games solo, so why does he have a DQ preference badge? And there is no reason, unless Riot purposely created the system to make it look like players vastly prefer dynamic queue.
: > The system is not there for ''true'' solo players. Yes it is! Of course it is for "true" Solo players. It was added after the SoloQQ'ers spent weeks and months complaining how they now couldn't climb, how it was so hard, how their rank was meaningless because they could be boosted and they wanted the recognition. So Riot made the emblems to show that some players really play entirely Solo and "truly" deserve their rank. If you're even moderately active on these boards, this should be obvious.
If you're even moderately aware of Riot's actions in the past, this is a 95% a ploy giving players an absurd amount of dynamic queue badges to show that ''Players prefer dynamic over solo'' when that isn't true at all.
: If you are planning on removing Twisted Treeline, i'm done, Riot
The only reason TT saw gameplay is because DQ never existed, so if you had 2 friends and wanted to rank you could play TT ranked. Now you can do the same thing except on SR, which is a much more refined and balanced game mode. I personally think they should give it attention, because having only 2 normal game modes is kind of lackluster and lazy on their part.

: Snowballing is so fucking high that even a full item tank dies in 6 seconds in a teamfight
Blame it on cancer like {{item:3071}} {{item:3142}} {{champion:236}} {{champion:21}} that will literally shred you in seconds as a 400 armor Rammus/Malph with their ults.
: So that TRUE solo players get the banner, not people who only DQ when they need too.
''Queues solo for _most games_'' ''Queues with varying team sizes for _most games_'' The system is not there for ''true'' solo players. Like I said, it's a preference. Just because you didn't get all of your 25 wins solo doesn't mean you don't have a solo preference, because you do.
: It should be 3 games to lose the Solo Emblem, not 2, they said you need more than 90% solo plays, so at least 23 games over the last 25. Although they ALSO said in another place that the size of the premades mattered, so it's not very clear. EDIT: oh, and it's the last 25 **wins** taken into accounts, not all games. Be careful about that. I suggest posting a ticket to support telling them that (you have more than 90%, and it was publicly said that you should need 90% only), and asking them what happened (politely, of course). And keep us updated once you have an answer ;)
Why is it even named ''preference'' in the first place? Having a preference over something else means you'd pick A over B more than 50% of the time. If I ate 8 oranges and 6 apples, my preference would still be oranges over apples. Not strongly preferred, but enough to warrant the use of the word. Can't understand why Riot designed the system like that.

By that kind of scenario, pantheon just has to walk back to his team. if Pantheon is in range to W the person, enough to even get the W off, he isn't deep in the teamfight, unless he ulted and his team should then logically follow up. If not, he can just shrug and walk back to his team. If Talon uses his ult there, he is essentially useless for 60 seconds as he needs his ult to do anything. The AoE damage he is doing there is negligible too, as Talon does most of his Damage to the target he E's. Pantheon's burst combo is on a more frequent basis due to only needing his base spells, of which are all on short CD's, meaning someone pressing QSS on him in this scenario is no sweat off his back. If anything, it was worth it as you burned a QSS CD.
>No it can't. You will still be stunned. You have a small period of time to react before his W hits. You can flash/dash/blink out, still getting stunned, but far enough so that Panth can only land a Q before the stun wears off. >Lol this logic. Again, we're talking about assassination. ADCs/APCs won't be anywhere near Pantheon, which is even worse since Pantheon usually needs to flash+W to reach his target. You'll be caught in their team, and if the enemy Lucian QSSs out of your W, you're screwed. If he ults in, he will either get torn up or peeled off. Talon can R for stealth and then appear behind his target instantly, 95% of the time killing it. Combo is less than a second long compared to Pantheon's 3-4 second combo, which usually means him flashing in and facing the possibility of his target getting far enough from him after his W that he can't reach with a flash or dash. A 60 second CD late game is nothing when you factor in CDR and the fact that teamfights are at most 3-4 minutes apart from one another. And talon doesn't need his ult if dealing with a lone target, which lets him save it in case he needs it in a teamfight.

You don't actually double click R that quickly in team fights. You can take 1 second to re-position yourself and you will still get a kill. It's the opposite for Pantheon. He has 0 escape apart from flash and once again, no defensive mechanisms apart from his niche passive.

Talon doesn't fall off though.
: Because he has a point and click stun Gap closer that leads to a 100-0 combo. If mere silences on point and click assassination patterns are toxic, how is pantheon STUN not? at least that is what i am assuming here.
: When is Pantheon going to be looked at?
His ult is already useless for one, because when he jumps in he's either way too squishy and gets destroyed or if built tank, doesn't do any damage and gets destroyed anyways. And he then gets punished for trying to adjust his ult. His assassination combo is absolutely garbage late game because any ADC can just cleanse his stun and get out of his E before anything happens and he dies. Even if he manages to get a kill he usually ends up dying anyways because he has no ability to escape. There isn't anything even remotely interesting about his kit or his gameplay. Outdated kit that's been left behind by damage and mobility creep. I still find him fun and feels great to play sometimes, but he's truly useless past a certain point if he isn't more fed than the other team. Hopefully he gets a VGU after Yorick because he needs it really badly.

: Zhonyas doesn't really = an escape. Eve, Diana, Talon, Shaco, Nocturne, and Master Yi feel like high risk assassins.
They all have defensive mechanisms though. Eve with her ult shield. Diana with her W shield. Shaco with his Hallucinate. Nocturne with his spell shield (He really isn't even an assassin, builds like a tank) Yi has %dmg reduction + heal and invulnerable with alpha strike. Talon is the only one who doesn't have any sort of defensive mechanic, and stealth does not count as one, especially when it's tied to your assassination combo.

: What I want to see in the new Talon rework
Talon is probably the only high risk assassin in the game. He literally has no means of protection or escape other than flash and his ult. I would include Diana and Eve but all AP assassins can get {{item:3157}} and even they have means of escape or protection. His assassination design is by far one of the best in the game, and everything meshes perfectly in his kit. His passive is the one thing that truly needs to be changed. Garbage values, simple %dmg amp, nothing unique about it. A good passive might just be the only thing he needs to get back into the meta.

Meant to counter HP stacking, yet 2 shots ADCs with Ult+Q+RFC.

Right. I forgot to mention he also builds Deadman's, Spirit Visage, and maybe an FH or a Randuin's. Gives him a total of around 3500 HP with +200 armor and +150 MR.
: @Riot - Please be Reasonable About the Imminent Hecarim Nerfs
Epitome of tanky yet deals stupid amounts of damage. Cinderhulk+Triforce basically guarantees that you're unkillable and 2 hit ADCs at the same time. Wards also don't mean shit when he's coming in at 900 MS then proceeds to dash 1000 units and fear, while knocking you back towards the enemy. Late game he's a tank assassin. E chunks ADCs for half HP and then just Q them to death. He can then choose to walk away or shit on the enemy team as well. Change his passive to 20% MS to AD from 1-18. Make his E avoidable by blinks and reduce R travel speed.

It's not bad, just think Morde is great already and sleeper as well.
: He could be so much more...
And, also, your proposed rework makes him a lot worse. By doing that to his Q, too much of his burst will be concentrated into DPS. His Q is perfect already for punishing enemies that get close to him, while giving him great burst and DPS at the same time. Removing heal from his W will slaughter his lane phase, especially with removal of spell vamp. His E is already clunky when enemies are in melee range, so adding a snare won't really make much of a difference. He already catches up to enemies in melee range with Rylais anyways. Taking away the ghost from his R is something iconic and his new R is already much better because it gives an advantage when taking drag as well. His damage would also fall heavily if his liches can't reach the target.

Why are you strawmanning his argument, when he actually makes valid points? Rek'sai is almost always forced to build tank, and at one point becomes a walking AoE knock-up. The only reason she's used in competitive is because she can provide ridiculous map pressure for her teammates when played correctly and with a team. In solo Q where everyone is expected to pull their own weight, she's far down in the pecking order as a good pick.

: Yea, League is not dying. Here's why - all of you are assuming this based on a few threads here on a daily basis. No one is stopping you from leaving. Except that you won't do it because you're still here. People who feel the need to over-dramatize their decision and pull the audience for the pathetic performance are the exact ones who play the game the next day. The truth is, you're spineless hypocrites. You say something to Riot, at how they should be open about making mistakes and how they should tell the truth but in the end, you're saying one thing on the boards, only to completely do the other thing when no one's looking. You go back on your word about leaving forever, play a multiple games and then just cirklejerk the boards the next day with the same things. If you can't stand League changing because of your precious nostalgia, then this is no place for you anymore. League is not going back to what it once was and if LCS players are following this trend, it would come as no surprise in further competitions that they'll just going to get curbstomped by better teams who aren't organizing a hunger strike. And i bet when this happens, it won't be them blaming themselves for being dumbasses but they'll come up with an excuse how the environment wasn't good for them which was organized by themselves.
At least 10 people I know ranked above plat have went from playing +5 games a day to 1 every 2 or 3 days. It's idiots like you who think Riot can't ever do anything wrong and that every change they make is for the better of the game. The only reason people are on the boards is because they care about the game and are concerned. No one here saying that they aren't playing LoL anymore is actually playing LoL. The real problem is Riot not giving a single shit about the consequences for any of the changes they make. And if the fact that the countless quitting LoL posts being upvoted to top don't even get a reaction out of Riot then they deserve to get what's coming. These are just warnings and red flags, but if you think that all of this is just a bitchfest instead of people genuinely leaving because of what's happening then you can suck Riot's dick until you quit yourself.
: every single urf game is people picking the most broken shi and just tryharding.
Every champion has a unique twist or gameplay aspect integrated into their kit, completely different to other champions. 95% of these champions (bar Yasuo, Aurelion Sol, and a few other unique cases) become overly bearing and absolutely tedious to deal with when they can abuse their main source of functionality without any sort of repercussion (mana, CD, etc.) I mean If I dedicated 30 minutes into a list on why every champion is bullshit in URF, I feel like I'd be able to cover every single one without much difficulty (excluding the ones I mentioned above). Basically every champion in URF is batshit broken. Can't do anything to change that apart from banning. It's still a really fun game mode.
: Yeah, i am so sad that a previously garbage champion is actually playable in some team-comps. Its such a shame that Riot is trying to fix the bad designs they made when the game started. Its so utterly horrid that the game is not a static mess. Its so blasphemous that they are actually making changes. Its mortifying beyond acceptance that they actually have ideas. Its sickening that this is not the game from 3 years ago. Seriously, stop it. You don't matter, none of us do. The people on the boards are a very vocal and pretentious minority who complain about everything and believe that they would be the saviors of the game if the design team listened to them, but in truth would just make more mistakes. Suck it up, every change is for the better either in the long run or the short run, something that nobody here manages to understand. Jesus Christ i am so tired of the endless victim speeches, and constant blame the design team gets. Its their job not yours and as long as you are not a Riot Employee stop speaking like you know more about the game than they do.
I'd actually argue that the boards and Reddit community are the type of players who are most engaged with the game, and don't just play it for the sake of playing. And no, not every change is for the better. Because while the intention behind said changes might mean one thing, the overall result might be the complete opposite. It's our responsibility as players to make clear certain issues. No one gives Riot shit for the hell of it. There have been many, many threads praising Riot's recent splashes and lore, and champion designs like Poppy's or Sion's. But when shit like dynamic queue is introduced and forced down our throats, there's nothing to do except call them out on it, because I'm not so sure this vocal majority you speak of is okay with it either.

His E is his only form of burst and utility pre-6. Q and W are near useless for harassing if your opponent knows how to punish or simply zone you. Put more power into his Q then a nerf to his E would be fine.

: The better question are: * Does he really need a single target ultimate which allows him to engage untargetable on the target amplifying every dmg he does and allows him to instantly disengage while still having another jump? * Does he really needs to be able to easily zone and herass with all of his 3 basic spells on lane, ignoring the creepwave completly and only dodgeable by prediction as a melee assassin without mana cost?
Yes, he does. As an assassin, his main objective is killing single targets. And no, he cannot instantly disengage. It takes 0.5 seconds for him to return to his shadow, in which he can be CCed by any ability and instantly destroyed. Every melee assassin has strong ranged harass. They would have absolutely no place in any lane if they didn't. His W CD was increased to 22 seconds, if he uses it, it's easy to take advantage and safe farm or poke.
