: Most of the time they ARE in the ELO they belong, people in silver sometimes play OK, but are inconsistent and have bad games. By doing that though, you are losing winnable games, so will get worse teammates than you would otherwise, so if they seem less skilled than you are, you have put yourself in that situation -- the more you win the better teammates (and opponents of course) you get. Stop hating on silvers, once you climb it's a bit better.
