You may get honored if you played well. -Offering words of encouragement ensures that you probably will never get banned. Also, it increases the probability of getting honored, regardless of whether you played poorly or more so if you did well.

If only "reality" were that simple. You didn't respond to my initial scenario. Would you ask your underperforming boss the same question you asked your underperforming teammate? And yes anyone can be questioned on their performance or punctuality in a tactful manner. Being abrasive brings no benefit, you want an increase in performance, not emotional gratification. For example, I start work at 8 am every day, yet I arrive at 9 am every day. I give a shoddy excuse and go on my merry way. My superiors finally pulled me into a meeting and said the following: "We noticed that you have some challenges getting to work before 8 am, is there anything in particular which prevents you from being here before 8 am? Perhaps we can help?" I stated that I was very productive between 5 - 7 am and liked to use that time to complete mentally demanding tasks and gave a few examples. I came out of that meeting with a new start time of 9 am and a (then) promise of a promotion. A mutually beneficial outcome and no one was insensitive or abrasive in the interaction.

"Riot had ignored all of it"...Do you REALLY believe this? Can you HONESTLY not see a correlation between Boards incessant tantrums and Riot patch directions? While I agree Boards does not dictate the direction of the game, it sure as hell influences it (which is a grave error, Boards should be ignored completely IMO). When a Central Bank/Fed is deciding on monetary policy, do they go to every entitled, self-serving citizen to guide their direction? Nope. They go to the top players, Banks, Regulators, Civil society etc with hard data and credibility. What can typical John Doe working at the cheesecake factory tell you about Tax multipliers/buoyancy, total factor productivity or corrective impulses? You must work in his/every other American's interest but you don't introduce unnecessary noise in the decision-making process by collecting baseless opinions. League is no different. What can the typical player tell you about probabilistic modeling or developing regressive systems to measure the impact of a 1% increase in Vayne's MS on bot lane equilibria? My guess, nothing. However, if you don't have the technical expertise, "eyeballing" things does help develop a subjective framework and for that RIOT should engage those most qualified to do so: its best players. Everyone else can be safely ignored as noise, which is the vast majority of the Boards.
: Why is it that Jax is never getting nerfed??
WTF how is Jax broken? Boards...I swear... Jax is one of the few balanced champions in the Game and embodies what a bruiser SHOULD be. He's a bit strong right now, but the problem isn't his kit (WTF?) its the current environment. As long as Triforce/Guinsoo/Rageblade is strong, that power will seep into Jax, been that way since day one. He's probably the best measuring stick to balance these items. So no, the problem isn't Jax. Stop Shitposting.
: Can't wait to see how utterly shit Riot makes the game this season with the "Soon" excuse
Oh look, another "Boards Balance PRO". Gives a long opinionated list on supposed "issues" but fails to give any concrete suggestions or even a hint for that matter. Boards, like the world, is full of useless, bickering people; quite like yourself, OP.

What's the point of the cross-bow? Why does she have to enter melee before she can utilize her one crossbow skill, which is passive? Seems a bit counterintuitive. It seems that she is predominantly melee, does this mean that her AAs are mele? >If the target is within 250 units then Emilia will dash 550 What does that mean? I am also confused as to what she is exactly, ranged? melee? AD caster? AD AA? The ulti is also lacklustre. Overall I feel no synergy in her kit and a glaring identity crisis.I suppose this is true: "P_urpose: Find out who she is and where she came from_."

I work in advisory for mergers/acquisitions/fat trimming etc. and while I have had experience with tech firms, I have never dealt with a video game company so pardon my ignorance. No worries! Asking is a good thing. So there are few misconceptions with your main statement, which I'll put here for reference: > LOL has been refined over 12 years so the product should be fairly stable, most admin/cs functions can be automated or outsourced and server functions are best left in the hands of specialized firms. To me, it seems that the company should be concerning itself with the creative process (new and existing projects), balancing, player engagement etc. I don't see how you need 2500 employees for this? Importantly, few products are every as stable as you'd like to think, *especially* in an environment like *League* that keeps adding new functionality. You have people doing bugfixes, code improvements, new enhancements, etc. all the time. You also have people coding up entirely new features, and people coding up systems for testing that may or may not make it in. On the creative side you have music, concept art, texture mapping, high-res modeling, low-res modeling, composing, UI, web graphics, motion graphics, animation, splash art, world-building, character-building, and VO-writing. You have live design, exploratory design, champion design, item design, system design, gameplay balancing, rotating game mode creation, etc. Then you have QA for all of these things, and development teams that help out. That's a LOT of people right there, and a lot of different processes that go behind even small additions. Then you have legal, HR, E-Sports, data analysts, system engineers, management, Ecommerce experts, facilities management, finance, all the international operations teams, the localization/translation teams, the live operations team, merchandising, player support, publishing, product management, and UX design. Many of these then have secondary teams in other regions other than NA, which include headquarters in pretty much every major region. And, by the way, this is all assuming Riot *doesn't* have any exploration into other game ideas, which I think we all know is probably not true -- we may not have seen anything, but they're definitely thinking about it.

You can always make the game more stable, reliable and consistent. > To me, it seems that the company should be concerning itself with the creative process (new and existing projects), balancing, player engagement etc. I don't see how you need 2500 employees for this? For every creative thing, it needs a lot of different people who have knows their stuff really well. A new skin can require multiple people for each of the following: * Concept art * 3D Moddeling * Animation * Particle effects * Texturing * Sound Design * Voice over * Programming * Quality Assurance And this process usually takes many months, and that's just if the skin is a skin only consisting of technology that already exists. Depending on how advanced the skin is, a new technology could also be required for alot of those things. Each thing having people who are specialized in implementing in game. And since Riot prefferably wants to work on multiple skins at once, it takes multiple teams to work bringing skins on a consistent basis. Also, each of those things have to be made with tools that are optimized for League of legends, and someone needs to create and maintain those tools aswell. --- And that's just skins. Think about how much Riot actually does at once, and it's easy to see how you quickly rack up 2500 employees all over the world.

Damn those are serious charges. Its one thing to have a bro-culture, its something else when rape is involved. Most men find rape repulsive, but if what this woman claims is true and RIOT knew about this and protected this individual then i support imprisonment to the severest limit. Also, sex hit-lists, masturbatory gestures, dry humping? Really RIOT? Do you guys only hire losers? sht... (probably explains the balance team). : Irelia nerfs are a joke.
It was so painful reading this thread. Everyone seems convinced that they are somehow experts in balancing. They insult the balance team and imply that their methods are superior with no basis at all. They even insult their fellow players "you don't know math" when their analysis is equally shortsighted. Boards seem to be increasingly becoming a cesspool of stupidity and ignorance. I stand by my previous judgments that if RIOT stops reading Boards, the game would be in a better spot. Concerning this nerf Irealia. A nerf is a nerf, the only sound conclusion you can make is that irelia is weaker than before. How can you begin to try to model the magnitude of this shock when you have no data and at best a few undergrad math/stats classes under your belt? To estimate the impact of this would require rigorous statistical analysis, well beyond the undergrad level, with some monstrous datasets and equally informed assumptions which would require years and years of data to craft. As condescending as I know this sounds, when you work in a field for many years, confident ignorance irks you. But all hope is not lost. Any statistician worth his salt knows that models are imperfect and are cloudy mirrors at best. The subjective opinions of the modeler, as long as they are backed by sound statistical/ economic/ mathematical theory have an important role to play. This is where there is room for discussion. What outcomes can we subjectively expect from this nerf? As an example, although -5MS seems small, the relative impact seems sizeable. I searched for some data on the base stats of champions in the game. On one hand Irelia's base MS seems to still be ahead of most champions, though, with the impact of mid-late game items, I'm not sure where this would stand. On the other hand, the recent nerf seems to have placed Irelia's MS behind some of the more common junglers/ top lane champions. This means she will have a harder time getting out of ganks/ all ins. The nerf seems to have hit her laning phase and made all ins more dangerous for her. We may be able to expect her to get fewer kills and higher deaths in the game and thus a tad slower item growth which would delay her mid game spike a bit. As to whether the magnitude is sufficient remains to be seen.

And when you get those chat logs what benefit would this bring to you? You know what you did wrong just fix the problem and move forward. I'm pretty sure if RIOT starts pulling chat logs of every time u got someone so triggered they reported you, you would be very embarrassed. The fact that this void customer rep tried to help u out and u legit threw him under that bus, already shows that either you are delusional or have no accountability.

My decision here is that if Riot has the balls to pull the plug on my account then they should go ahead, but I'll never go cutesy-hand holdy to assholes who go ggez whenever they get a 4v5.

You talk like I'm in need of an intervention. I got angry at showboating assholes after the 5th game in a row of it happening. The only problem here is that this is the only game I really play that makes me angry cause the game can be so fun yet the experience and community is so constantly shit. I don't think I should play things that make me angry at humanity but at the same time it would feel like I was throwing away $775 dollars which is probably the most I've ever spent on a single game, and I don't want to do that myself.
