: There is no rule that says you cannot cite someones rank. A rank I did not create. In fact, there is a tip during the loading screen that encourages in-game banter. I asked to report someone who intentionally lost. If someone intentionally gives a game of basketball away by giving the opposing team the ball, that person deserves criticism by a tribunal. Ipso facto. I did read your mangled version of English. And in that I found zero substance.
> > Ipso facto. I did read your mangled version of English. And in that I found zero substance. You see, you are clueless. If you were in front of a judge looking to be found not guilty, like this thread sort of is, you would have just lost the case. You do not discuss things on merit trying to get to an agreement. When you don't get your way you go for a personal attack about something that has nothing to do with the discussion. There is no need to talk about the guy's English. That is an Ad Hominem (since you're a fan of Latin ); you're just trying to insult them. Notice the example given - there's really no need to mention your condescending use of Latin.
: Irelia said she was bronze. And she was spamming pings at everyone and getting nothing done. There is no rank shaming in saying facts. You cannot see the context of the chat, obviously, so your opinion is definitely based on one (out of context) side. But in this game my whole team outside of irelia was agreeing and asking for her help. I spent 30 minutes of the game directing and coordinating. We took inhibitors top and bot as a result. we were hard winning. She intentionally lost. She pinged krugs and gromps and wolves and her level while at full build. As you can clearly see in the text, I said top, bot, baron, push, we win, good job, etc etc etc over and over again. The reasoning was for unsportsmanlike behavior, apparently. Despite literally being shotcaller. On a 9 game winstreak. EDIT: I checked again, it's for "abusive comms" even though none of my comms were abusive. Unsportsmanlike perhaps... As I definitely was critical of Irelia's decisions. But that was not only me, my entire team found it frustrating and obvious as to why we lost. She was INTENTIONALLY throwing the game. I'm not saying this because I dislike her. She was doing JUST FINE until she decided she'd had enough of us winning.

Unsportsmanlike perhaps... Well, no one who is being abusive thinks they're being abusive. The objective of "trying to get the team to work together" is OK, but the end doesn't justify the means. Too many people think that because they "really care about the game and winning" they have the right to say anything to others. As you got frustrated you progressed to griefing, sarcasm, condescension, passive-aggressiveness, rude language, ELO shaming , etc. Yes, getting frustrated is also not an excuse. This just goes on online with people you'll never see again and can get into a physical altercation with. :-)

: Year in Review Stats
Yeah. I came in to see if I could find out actually what game modes are included in the statistics. Of course, the solution is to allow the player to refine stats by filtering (including or excluding) game modes taken in consideration. Statistics can be deceiving if one doesn't know the data they're based on. Like if I have an 85% pct win rate as Kai'Sa... sounds good, but if it's in Bots or just a handful of games in Normals it's not that impressive anymore.

: Is it wrong to change the settings file for the Client?
I wrote support about doiing theis on LAN client and their answer is you may do it and it may work, but Riot doesn't support it and you may experience unexpected results. Actually, not Riot official answer, since the rep said "I, personally" "I'm XYZ from Riot Player Support. I'll tell it to you straight. I, personally, would not do the change. Riot does not officially support changes like this, so I can't say that it won't break anything. There is no way for to have both English and Spanish available in the drop down. If you still want to do this change, I recommend you check out the KB Article on 3rd party programs and changes to the client settings. The change is at your own risk." This lack of the feature is unexplainable since EUW client supports English, Spanish, Italian, French and a fifth one I can't remember. I can't be too hard to have at least a regional language and English. It already works if you manually change the settings file.

Regarding that language, "based on percent missing health", does this mean that if you're missing almost 100% of your health you would regenerate almost 100% of 30 HP over 10 seconds, and if you're missing 50% HP you would regenerate only 15 HP (50% of the 30), etc?

: TL;DR I always draw out what I want to say into a long ass essay, so I'll make another TL;DR. Basically, it works for me, you edit your Item Sets in the website, download them, extract the .ZIP, delete the existing 'Champions' folder in 'Config', move the new 'Champions' folder into 'Config', start up League, and boot a Custom Game to see if it worked. As I said, I use http://lol.item-set.com/#!/editor, though currently images for items aren't being shown, but there is an open thread on the GitHub page so it'll probably be fixed within the week. I'd assume the functionality is still there. That website stores your set in your cookies, so you don't have to upload your sets every time, and the place where I grab them and replace them is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config\Champions'. Keep in mind, I've moved my Riot Games Folder, the Riot Games folder is usually just sitting in C drive, or whichever drive you installed League onto. Also, I delete and move my new Item Sets instead of Copy Paste, that way old sets are removed, and just to be sure there aren't duplicates or conflicts. More about that website, you download a .ZIP file which you'll extract, and then move the individual Champion named folders into the 'Champions' folder in your 'Config' folder. I usually do it before I start up League, but I think they aren't touched until you get into a game, so replacing Item Sets should be fine with the Launcher open. ___ Truly sad to see the total lack of Rioter interaction in this sub-forum though, expected some sort of response, and even used the NA board because I knew the OCE board would ignore this (it's just filled with 'looking for player' threads and people promoting their YouTube channels).
Thanks for the reply. (and here's my long ass essay :-D ) As of right now, I believe this is not working anymore. You say, " I'd assume the functionality is still there.", so I'd ask if you have imported item sets using this method in the last 6 weeks. I'm quite convinced Riot has changed the method of handling the item sets recently - shortly after 07/22/18 - probably patch 8.15 08/01/18. Before, they kept and updated the item sets locally on \config\ItemSets.json (although they also have them on the server). Now, they are not updating that file anymore. That file on my system shows last time it was updated as 07/22/18. I have updated Item Sets since then, so I gather they just stopped using that file and they are saving the item sets on the server (and maybe somewhere locally that we don't know of yet) Now we may ask, why are there item sets under config\global\recommended? That, i gather, is because that's where the game client (as opposed to the League Client, where the item sets are edited - they are different programs) has always read them from and they haven't updated the game client yet, to use the item sets using the new "official" method. The item set editor is not reading those item sets under config\global\recommended, it only writes copies of sets there so the game client can read them and show them in the store. Evidence of that is 1. When the user logs in to the League Client, whatever is in that folder gets deleted and the the item sets for the user just logged in get copied there. What I see is that even if you copy the item sets downloaded from the ISE site to that folder they get replaced by the user's sets pulled from the server. (so you can't import sets anymore by copying them there before you login) 2. If you login and do nothing else, you can see the "official" item sets on the \global folder. You can delete everything in the folder, yet when you open the editor you CAN edit the item sets - because it reads them from another "official" store. You can see the \config folder is still empty. If you open an item set and perform any changes, when you click save the sets are saved to whatever data store they are using now but they are ALSO copied to the \global folder restoring what we deleted. 3. Proof that the game client reads item sets from the \global folder is that if you are logged in the League Client already, delete the item sets from \global folder, and create a custom game, there will be no custom item sets in the store because it didn't find anything in the \global folder since we deleted them for this test. Now, there is a way to use the ISE item sets downloaded, but it's cumbersome and too much work. 1. Login to League FIRST 2. Copy the ISE sets to \global 3. Launch a game and the item sets will be available You need to login first because when you login, whatever is in \global will get deleted and replaced by whatever sets the user has on the "official" Riot data store. Then, the problem is that you must do this every time you log in to league because when you login, whatever item set files where in the folder are deleted. Another problem is that the item sets will not be seen on the League client item set editor, because it only edits the "official" item sets. Furthermore, if you perform a change on the official item sets an click save, the official item sets will be written to the \global folder replacing whatever you had there. So, that's the results and analysis of my tracing execution of the program. At least it's an explanation of how it works. In order to use the ISE files, we would have to use the regular import process in the League Client and do without the preferred item slots. We would have to import all the item set files one by one, unless we look at them using an editor and identify which ones we actually changed and need updating. Additionally, after (or before) importing we would have to delete the old versions from the client because the import creates a new item set. It doesn't update the old item set. This deleting has to be one by one because the Client doesn't provide for selecting and deleting multiple sets at once. Well, this is what I have gathered so far.

: Item Set Customisation in the 'New' Client is worse than the Legacy Client
Are you still able to use the Item Set Editor files? I used them before, but a long time ago LoL changes made them not work anymore. I was in touch with the developer about a couple of things. At the moment, if I copy the downloaded files (\config\global\recommended\) they are overwritten by the Client when I log in. I believe Riot has made some changes towards moving the Item Sets handling more towards server side storage. They are not updating the ItemSets.json under \config anymore. I think now they are storing the Item Sets on the server and when the user logs in they delete everything under under \config\global\recommended and write the .json files for the user's Item Sets. That's probably because the Game Client probably has always read them from - they haven't updated the Game Client to the new method and they need to have the files on the hard disk. Anyway, does it work for you? Is there a trick in the timing of copying the files relating to launching client, login in, opening editor, opening Game Client?

Hello. Did you get a chance to check this out? (or is there a better place to post this?) Many of my bot/carry games are identified as bot/support. I think that the system tags the match record like that. I can also see the same problem in other Summoner Stat websites, pointing to the issue being in determining the role to tag the record with initially.
: How to analyze replays?
You are right about maybe not knowing what to look for. There are (1) mistakes we make and have no idea we made them, and (2) mistakes we make and know we made them. This type 2 are things like: thins you didn't think of at the moment, but after the fact you realize your mistake; things involving mechanics you couldn't perform; lack of knowledge or champion abilities, items, structure or monster attributes and behaviors; lack of good team planning and communication; other stuff. For type 1, you need to have a more knowledgeable person help you and review the game with you. For type 2, you can review the game and take notes identifying: 1. Significant Events - Things that went "wrong" - deaths, missed kills, being at the wrong place, etc. (can also write down things that went well to enable understanding and repeating them) 2. Possible Cause - write possible causes for each event, and then ask what the cause for that is, and ask again for the cause for that and on and on to get to the root cause. eg. Weak mechanics, lack of knowledge about XYZ, not being aware of map and player positions 3. Counter measure - write what must be done to prevent that from happening. These could be improving mechanics (identify specifics to improve and objective, design a drill, schedule practice sessions until you reach your objective). In other caes it could be reading up or watching educational videos to gain more knowledge. Do this with a few games and you'll have a handful of things to concentrate and work on since you'll see the root causes repeat. Tackle two or three most important ones and save others for later until you improve on the first ones. Hope you get the idea. Identify problem symptoms, perform root cause analysis, identify counter measures/solution plans. Good luck.

I queue up with a friend. My pick would've been Jhin, which he also plays, but we settle on Lux because many other people play it and maybe would vote for her. We go in, vote Lux and two other guys vote Jhin! So, we switch to vote Jhin to have a 4-1 majority. We get Darius... WTF? Neither of us have played Darius. What happened to the majority vote? We play against 5 Lux! Which is what we wanted initially. The Luxes (Luxi) proceed to root and ulti all the Darius and stump us. We end up like 1/10 and 2/9. What happened to the majority vote? >:-(

Now that I've had the time to recover from the shock/joy of getting a Riot answer, I can reply. :-D First, thank you. You can look at summoner maximuspaine. I have a short Normal Draft history of 30 games. If you notice I play mostly ADC (if I can), but there are three ADC games under the Support stats... Ashe, Caitlyn, Jhin. Those games have in common that the ADC got more Deaths than Kills and the support went even or more Kills than deaths. So, it seems the algorithm may be using "higher" KDA or most Kills to determine who is ADC and who is support. In other words, the algorithm doesn't account for bad ADCs. :-) I find it strange you don't take into consieration the champion type and the role queued for and assigned. Not that it's 100% reliable, but those should be a factor to verify role. Hope you can get some insight into this and it helps. PS: I see the Bot/Sup crossover in other profiles, too.

: One For All Voting
Yes, this is very disappointing. What are the rules? I got into a game, two people picked Jhin, and a friend and me picked Lux. I don't know what the other guy picked (presume Darius) because I didn't care to look because my friend and I both changed to Jhin to make it 4 votes. Then we get 5 Darius. >:-( Why? Is there some technicallitiy that perhaps two of the four didn't lock in the vote or something? Its the only explanation I can think of, other than the system doesn't work. Even then, if a vote isn't "locked" it should be counted anyway. But I guess that's out of the question, since the system doesn't do it even in draft mode. if you forget to lock your champion in Draft mode you get kicked, instead of just giving you the selected, though unlocked champion. It's a common user mistake that should be handled better.

: I'm apperently better in most things then challengers that play the same champ I do lmao It's not right I think.
It's because the stats don't vary a lot between Ranks because they are affected by the competition the player is facing - which is players of his own Rank which get better the higher up he is. For example, a 15 year old playing JV basketball can average 30 points a game and an NBA player can average 28 points a game. That doesn't mean the 15 year old is better than the NBA player. Picture what would happen if you switch those players to the other's league. :-)
: League of Stats
I don't know if you have a designated place for feedback about this particular Stat Page feature, but... The Support average is improperly including games where the player has clearly played ADC and it throws off both Bot and Support stats. It happens even if the champion played is an ADC, the role in draft is Bot and the other Bot player is playing a support champion. I believe the system is identifying the role as Support in cases where the "real" Support has performed better than the "real" ADC in some stats. That could sound reasonable...but it distorts the stats for both roles on the player record. If the player plays some bad ADC games they should still be counted as ADC games to reflect the true role performance. If they are classified as Support perfromances the ADC stats will show better averages than reality, and the Suppot stats will also be affected. Aside: Riot also does that when assigning Champion Performance Grades (S,A,B,C...) for a game. One can play a bad ADC, the Support does better than the ADC, then the system gives one an A- . The system is clearly rating it as a great Support performance instead of the bad ADC performance it is.

As in if replays are stored server side why can someone with fewer than 20 games since then download it but not me, if replays are stored client side why do they automatically get deleted after 20 games
I would say that they are not deleted automatically. It's just that you don't have a way to get to them, since the scripting needed to locate and download it to your PC is within the client and it ony shows your last 20 games. However, if any of the other players in the game still have it on their last 20 games they can download it and send the .rofl data file to you. Then you would be able to run the replay, as long as the live patch is the same, and save to video.
: As someone who bought 8 pages using these sales (so I have 10), I agree. Although I don't get why anyone would buy pages anymore. I use more pages now, but it isn't hard to update in client outside of ARAM or late picks where you change who you wanted to play.
People would buy pages if they didn't know or memorize all the runes needed for all their champions in different roles. They are simple to change, if you know what they should be.

Yes, I know how it is. :/ (Sorry I took so long. Had no power or internet for months - hurricane.) Going over your points I'd say... Perhaps go into Draft instead of Blind Pick to avoid problem and fights about who plays what and people not wanting to fill a needed role. Maybe not ask for tips or let them know you "didn't know something". In real world when you can look people in the eye you can and judge quickly whether they're nice and would want to help or whether they're jerks. It's sad, but we might need to just play silently most of the time, unless you get an indication that some of the other people are cool. Sometimes just saying "Hello" helps to know, some say Hello back, or have a positive comment, some will not even acknowledge you and some might even harrass you for saying hello. :-O True story, I once said hello and someone responded "Shut up, noob!". I wonder if those are mean grown people or just kids fooling around. About the reporting threat... Again, I don't know if those people are mean/stupid or just kidding. People should know what real offenses they can report and that being a novice, not knowing something or just not being as good as them are nothing Riot would pay attention to. Actually, they should sanction those players for frivolous and time wasting "reports". Not knowing champions could be a problem if you know so little that you become a real liability to the team. But if one is starting out, it should be enough to know a couple of main roles and 2-3 champs each and be able to play a couple of champs on other roles. We have to start out somewhere. :-) Good luck, man. Patience.

: bots in ai games
**A multi-million dollar company like Riot can find a way to stop this** This is unbearable. It's been happening a lot lately. Yesterday I played 3 Coop vs AI games and got one bot in my team, two bots in my team and in another one there were three bots in my team. We couldn't even surrender as when my teammate initiated a surrender vote it wouldn't be succesful because the bots don't vote. It was the first time I've ever wanted to just quit the game in process, but I didn't want to take penalties. But, it was pitiful. All Riot has to do is have a will to want to stop it. They have the records of the games, data about the player/bot behavior to be able to analyze it, identify suspect accounts and request a human interaction at some point before the next game. They could add one of those CAPTCHA verifications where they have to type in the number shown in a graphic or something. If not that, there has to be a solution and a will to find it. Perhaps, Riot prefers people playing PvP and don't mind if players quit Coop v AI and move to Normals and Ranked. I don't know how the evil doers startup the bot games, but we need to make harder if not impossible so they lose incentive to cheat.

: The 4800 or lower champion reduction plan seems to follow the pattern 3150 > 1350 > 4800. Galio was a 4800, I believe, so I think it'll be someone that's 3150. Possible champions to consider at Shen, Shaco, Panth, or Olaf. I think it'll be Shen.
Yes, that price pattern seems to be right, except that they have reduced a 6300 to 4800 in the mix (Skarner 4/2013). I looked up the past cases and their current price. (Table 2) It does seem a 3150 to 1350 is most probable, unless they've been recently reduced already (Table 1). **Table 1** Current 3150 IP Champs A Akali Anivia B Blitzcrank C Corki G Galio Gangplank Gragas H Heimerdinger K Karma K cont. : No one, kha will be the only one. They reduce 4800s every third champion (to lazy to look up when the next 48->3150 is) and only reduce one 6300 to 4800 per champion release.
If you're too lazy to look it up you shouldn't comment with wrong information. :-) There will be another champion price reduction along with Kha'Zix as noted on the schedule.
: Item Sets
Riot announces projected completion of Item Set builder for release to PBE patch 7.10, (whenever that may be) and moved into pubic version "shortly after that". Good news in the sense that at least it will be done. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/legacy-client-now-retired
: Hello good sirs and madams @riotgames, ever since the update came that the beta was mandatory I have been unable to log in to League of Legends. I open my League, I press the "LAUNCH" button and the page just disappears. I have tried closing all running applications, shutting down my computer, repairing the client, and even re-installing. What do I do now?
You need to open a support ticket. Posting here is not your best bet.

That being said, to answer "Why on earth would they remove them?" > > Riot probably has seen the number of people who use Item Sets is not what they feel is significant. Since they, reportedly, wrote the new client programs from scratch, they may feel that it's not worth their resources in man/hours to program and maintain for life a feature they feel not that many people will miss. > > Like any business with products, they feel that feature causes more difficulty and expense to them than what they get from it in "sales". They probably feel people will adapt and few would quit LoL for lack of Item Sets, and if they leave they'll be few and it doesn't bother them. > > Last I read they were thinking of keeping it, but not implemented in the immediate future. Perhaps they switch to the new client, discontinue Legacy client and see how many people complain. :-( > > We'll see. Here we are then, one day after the Legacy client was disbanded, and I am part of the new wave of complaints. It's discouraging to see only 142 votes on this thread at this time. Perhaps we are in the minority after all. Please share the link to this thread to your social media accounts! Encourage those you know who are at this time ambivalent, to take up arms beside you, in support of a cause you believe in! SPREAD THE WORD! I am pleased that Riot has allowed me to retain access to the item sets I'd already created. Of course, this could become an issue all on its own, when inevitably items are tweaked and I want to change my existing sets. Perhaps the discussion here should shift. Riot, THANK YOU for letting us keep our item sets. When, if ever, will we be able to edit them and create new ones?
I kind of doubt that Riot is aware of this little thread vote, unfortunately. I'm not sure where the best place to post about it is, since they have different forum topics, support threads, bug report mecanisms, support site. They say they are re-doing it, so let's see. They could keep the Legacy Item Set builder in the mean time - if not within the new client, by providing a link or option somewhere - but they probably don't think it's worth it due to not enough demand. :/

: We try to post the the weekly champion rotations ahead of time so that people can plan who they want to use that week. The new champion rotation typically happens around the same time new patches come out!
Ok, thanks for the reply. And what time is that? The list is posted monday morning and the champion rotations is expected to change when?

: As it turns out, the weekly rotating champions can change on different days depending on the week. Most of the time we'll try to change the weekly champions around the same time that new content or patches come out. You can always check up on the weekly rotating champions on our [**Free Rotation**](http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/champions-skins/free-rotation) news page.
But, if the new list is posted on monday morning, should it be available then or could it just be held for hours or a day? Usually I've seen them change on morning PST, but today the new list was posted in the morning and it's 9 pm PST already and I still see last weeks' free champions on the client and champ select.
: Grade
Hear, hear!
: Agreed.
And I'm happy she's "in" now. I main ADC and I chose Mid as secondary. After an exhaustive research process I chose Ahri as the first mid-laner I bought and still my first option. So, yeay, me. :-)
: Ahri thoughts and play rate
I believe the play rate has increased due to the increase of Ahri's rate in the LCS. The rate increase in the LCS may be fueled by recent nerfs to assassins and other mid-laners, and also the increased number of bans makes players go deeper into the "bench".
