Feel free to add me, would love to play with just about anyone!
: Give players who get An A+ or higher should get LP even if they lost
The grades you get are based on the level of players you're facing. If you're facing Bronze 5 players and getting S+ only, that S+ isn't going to be an S+ in Gold 5. So your grade can't help determine your rank at all.

: 1. That website is not run by Riot Games or the League of Legends team, but rather by a third party. 2. LoLSkill performance rates are determined by an algorithm that calculates your performance in Kills, Deaths, Assists, CS, Gold, and Win/Losses into one stat that compares you to other players' stats.
Oh I know it's not run by Riot. I was just curious as to how this site in particular calculates their scores, considering the difference in performance between my Brand and Morgana games is rather large, and yet the site lists my Brand score as higher than Morgana.

I'll add you after my game here. I'm in the same spot as you rank-wise. So far in the preseason, haven't lost a ranked game yet, hope it continues :) I'll likely have more time than usual to play around Christmas time. I have just about every chat client there is, so I'm fine with any.

: Still a tie regardless. TSM beats SSW, and didn't lose to splyce once, yet RNG loses to splyce and doesn't beat SSW, but they are the better team?
As much as I would love to have seen that rematch occur to be a tiebreaker of sorts, RNG did beat TSM twice, showing up both times they faced off. TSM didn't. That last match of the day yesterday was essentially the tiebreaker already. One of them was going home and one was not. They were tied, and needed to break the tie.
: Anyone else played a ranked game thinking it was norms?
Yes, I've done this in the past... Pretty awkward when you realize it's actually a ranked game.
: Dear riot. Please don't release any more AOE DPS mages
Zed and Leblanc have also both been popular professional play picks as well in the past... Neither is a DPS champion. There's nothing wrong with DPS, it's just a different playstyle that people need to learn to play around.
: This was during a time where you could report people for refusing to communicate, and after my time talking to support I've learned that the feature was never acted upon. Never was it mentioned in player reform cards that you could mute players without repercussion, so at the time, I believed that muting everyone wasn't a valid option.
Fair enough. But you still have the option of ignoring comments that are clearly attempts to piss you off. I've had plenty of those situations happen to me too. And I will admit I definitely have done a terrible job handling those situations sometimes. I'm probably lucky to have not received a ban or anything thus far. But one of the biggest parts of this game is mentality, and the better your ability to avoid tilt, the better you'll play.

Turns out TSM and Splyce won the same number of games in Week 2. So far NA hasn't been able to manage to beat a single non European team at worlds in weak 2 now. I guess your about to tell me that C9 is actually the best NA team and they will win all their games right?
Holy crap you still can't learn the difference between "week" and "weak"? Also, you're* SSG showed up huge today. Props to them. TSM didn't. I would say you can't count their win against Splyce, but Splyce had just beat RNG pretty decisively. TSM didn't deserve to advance, and that was made clear by the fact that they couldn't adapt their draft to each different team they played. Still beats me why Viktor went unbanned in two games today with SSG playing. And no, I'm not going to tell you C9 is the best. I still think TSM is the best team in NA, but they weren't able to show up on the international stage for several reasons. C9 won't win all their games, I'm pretty confident they'll lose to at least SKT, and maybe Flash Wolves or IMay as well. If they do, then I'll be pretty shocked. Either way, I'm rooting for NA until we're all out. Hopefully that doesn't happen this weekend. Tired of arguing with you on the topic, you called it, TSM failed to advance. Congratulations. Rub it in my face if you want, but I simply believed that the changes they made for the summer split and up through to Worlds were enough to actually beat international competition. I was wrong. I'd like to analyze the TSM games in the coming weeks so I personally can understand everything that was done wrong. I think it's pretty clear that Viktor getting through was a huge mistake in the first game, but other than that I want to see what exactly happened. I think analyzing the games can also improve my own gameplay. Hope you're happy with the results today. Have a great rest of your weekend!
: A year of dealing with support
Two things. First, I don't mean to be rude, but isn't muting everyone and avoiding being baited into negative responses a given if you don't want to be banned? I don't get it. No one should have to tell you not to be toxic, rude, racist, etc. (anything negative, basically) Second, I think every single player ever who gets banned complains that they've been playing for x years. That's great that you've been playing that long, but that just means you've had that long to get accustomed to the rules of the game and should have an even easier time avoiding bans.
: TSM going home, DON"T BE SAD GUYS
Based on the RNG that we've seen so far today, it's kind of up in the air... TSM played poorly against SSG, then smashed the team that had just smashed RNG. So, on one hand, the TSM that played SSG could come back and make dumb decisions. BUT at the same time, the RNG we've been seeing so far today could show up once more and fail to win lanes.
: Guys I Just Realized Something...
Back then, if I remember correctly, there were two Samsung teams in Samsung Blue and Samsung White. After that worlds win for SSW, both teams split up and took a few of the players from each to form Samsung Galaxy. Still, I'm pretty sure the players on SSG have changed since then. So it really is a completely different team.
Landrein (NA)
: They are considered one region for purpose of worlds and you know it. I would be really impressed if ANX had more wins themselves then all of NA put together. Apparently your opinion of NA is so low that you think that all three teams together are impressive for having more wins than ANX alone. That is why I said win percentages. Actually, not really. That would be par for the course for NA I love your hypocrisy. If EU wins more games in weak two, it is because they played more games. But NA got more wins than ANX out of pure Skill. By the way, Splyce beat RNG, so its looking like your secret hope that Splyce will go 0/3 is sad. Now I will point out, the third seat EU team in "group of death" is now just as successful in weak 2 than CLG.
First, it's a week, not a weak. Two very different words there, bud. Second, learn the definition of hypocrisy. That's not it. Third, I didn't have any hope that Splyce would go 0/3 this week. If I had it my way, TSM and Splyce would have both gone undefeated this week and advanced to quarterfinals. Unfortunately, TSM played the same way RNG did against Splyce there and thought fighting would win the game for them. Lastly, CLG was just as much an underdog in Group A as Splyce in Group D, so congratulations?

With longer games, your kill participation should get higher and higher since you're probably mostly teamfighting. Aim for around 7cs/min (you had 4.1/min this game), 70%+ kill participation, and at least a ward placed every two minutes. And this isn't just to pad the stats. The higher CS is going to get you more gold, which will get you a bigger lead and make it easier to carry the game. The wards are going to give you vision, which you can use to get more CS to gain that lead that I just talked about. You are going to brag about win percentage in quarterfinals too? "uh geez none of our worthless teams got out of groups, but at least we won more games in groups than EU did. Plus I love how you don't even realize how bad your teams are. They are so bad, that the only criteria you have for bragging is they have more total wins than EU who has become a tournament joke.
Wait what? I just proved to you NA has more wins than every region but China and Korea, who have historically been the powerhouse regions anyway. Next I'd like to point out that you are NA. It's your region, they're your teams too. Good job. And last, YOU were the one to try to point out that other regions had more wins or a higher win percentage than NA to begin with, I only countered with the fact that you were completely wrong.

I mean seriously, it is getting old hearing you fanboys swear every year that TSM is different this year. I'll believe they are different when they actually do something different.
In what world do TSM fanboys say "we have 4 new players and a new coach" EVERY YEAR? What are you smoking? The team's "culture" as you call it has no impact on how a brand new team plays. Example A: The entire summer split.

Because we are talking about week two, or have you forgotten? And I said win Percentage, not number of wins. I love how you broke the wild card into pieces and then counted each team separately so that you could pretend that ANX didn't perform as well as the NA teams. But, then when your favorite team sucks that much, I guess you have to be a little sneaky with your arguments. And isn't that the sweet lie you tell yourself every year? "This TSM is different, This TSM won't let me down." You know, you are worse than an experimental mouse, at least he wont do something if he keeps getting shocked. You will keep telling yourself the same thing everyworlds. News Flash, TSM will NEVER be different enough to not throw. Just like CLG will never be different enough to beat a Wild Card Team.
I didn't start following competitive League until the end of last year, so no, I haven't once told myself that repetitively. Last year's TSM wasn't convincing - I didn't have faith in them anyway. This year's TSM actually looks good - something I can't say for any other NA team that I have seen in the time I've paid attention. ANX and INTZ are in two different regions. You were talking about regions, so I talked about regions. Want to combine them? Ok, that's fine. 5 wins. WHOOPS. Still not as many as NA. Good job bud.
: "I'm not hard carrying games". I literally get at least a quadra kill in 3 out of 5 yi games. I always have most gold and always deal the most damage. I also always have the most map pressure and take the most towers.
But MMR doesn't really look at your individual game stats. It tracks your wins, streaks you go on, and slightly takes into account how poorly or well you did in each game. So it doesn't matter if you get quadra kills. I've gotten penta kills and still lost the game. Just because I got a penta kill doesn't mean Riot is going to raise my MMR. I lost the game, which means there was something I could have done better, resulting in a loss of MMR. Besides, getting a quadra kill means nothing. You could have just last hit every single one of those kills but dealt almost no damage.
: WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT TAKE TO GET AN S FOR MASTERY
I can explain to you why you didn't get an S in that Ekko quadra kill game. Oh? name one time TSM made it past quarter finals. Oh and please do remember the most recent other worlds where NA, including your vaunted TSM lost more games in week 2 then were scheduled. So, your right, TSM never throws. Also forget you sad insecurities over EU v. NA. Think of it this way, So far, in week two EVERY region has more wins than NA regardless of how many of their teams have played. Also, the worse region in the tournament so far (besides NA) has a higher win percentage than NA. The only one here that doesn't make sense is the idiot who thinks that no evidence matters other than his own desire for a certain outcome. The only reason why the EU comparison matters is cause they are the joke of the tournament. The tournament joke is outperforming, and will probably continue to outperform NA in weak 2. : Why is my mmr lower than all these other people in gold 4 when I hard carried most of the way up?
Out of your top 10 most-played champions, your highest KDA is Kindred with 2.11. And that's your 10th most played champion in ranked, which means everything above that has an even lower KDA. That alone proves you aren't hard carrying games. And for the record, any champion you can truly carry a game on isn't noob. Actually carrying a game alone is difficult and takes skill. As for your MMR, you've played over 1000 ranked games this season and have only won 521 of them. Your win rate is BARELY above 50%, which is why your MMR is so low. Lastly, the amount of LP you earn per win is based on your MMR in comparison with the average MMR of your league/division. So because your MMR is lower than the league/division you are currently in, you are earning less LP on wins and probably losing more on losses until the game agrees that you have proved yourself a better player.

Duh NA is totally better than EU Duh. Splyce is going 0-3.
Ignore this guy. The OP is ignorant and simply wants to incite arguments about EU vs NA. He wants to bring any possible advantages for EU here to light while avoiding anything in favor of NA. I pointed out the fact that our two best have yet to play (which you also pointed out) and he responded by saying TSM always throws and C9 is worse than CLG. Basically he doesn't make sense.
Landrein (NA)
: um which NA are you looking at. We have TSM who Always throws, and C9 who is even weaker than CLG. considering CLG our number 2 overperformed by winning one game out of three. I doubt NA is going to really do much better. Oh, and Considering the fact that no NA teams are going to make it out of groups as usual. EU has more teams in the Quarters now then we will actually get in there.
I would definitely put C9 ahead of CLG in skill level. I think that CLG has better team play, but if you win lanes like C9 has the potential to (significantly moreso than CLG), you can win games. As for TSM, what are you talking about... So far, TSM has not "thrown" any games since the beginning of the summer split in LCS. They lost the game to RNG because Doublelift was cocky and didn't think Mata would go for the plays he was making, but they didn't have a significant enough lead at any point to consider that a throw. They didn't throw against SSG for sure, they demolished them. And they never had a lead to throw against Splyce, yet still won the game. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
: Yeah, I learnt it doesn't work early the hard way :/
Haha yea usually melees are stronger than ranged early, since they have to be right on top of you to attack you.
Landrein (NA)
: EU now has 3 times as many wins in week 2 than NA
Considering that the only EU team left to play (that hasn't yet in Wk2) is Splyce, in the toughest group, and NA has two teams that look fairly solid, at least enough so to advance, I would only venture to say that it will only get worse for EU from here on out, at least as soon as H2K finishes up the night.
: what is this biased hype toward H2K?
EDG is supposed to be a great team out of LPL, they are also the #1 seed. Because of that, they have a lot of believers in their team that they can go far. So, when a team like H2K that performed under expectations for the summer split and playoffs beats that EDG-like team, it's very hyphy. Everyone gets excited. For comparison, see CLG beating ROX in their first game. CLG had a fairly poor summer split, but still managed to beat the expected #1 team coming into the tournament in the group stages. Yes, CLG ended up not making it out of the group, but the day that they beat ROX, everyone went crazy because no one expected a team like CLG to come in and beat the #1 team from Korea.
: So when it's a squishy melee that's jumped on you, you would E first?
If a melee jumps on you, it's usually safe to E first as long as you QW right after. If you don't, and it's early game, chances are you'll die because you're still squishy.

: I understand a 3v3 cant happen on the rift. why can we not queue with just us 3 and 2 randoms vs 5 on rift?
Ah gotcha. You should be able to queue as 3 people in dynamic queue.... However, there are changes happening next season that may change that. As for playing ranked teams, you obviously need a team of 5 for Summoner's Rift ranked teams, and a team of 3 for Twisted Treeline ranked teams.

Two suggestions: 1. On the Launch page of the client, click the "?" in the upper right, and "Repair Client". This has solved a number of issues I've had with the client in the past. 2. Restart your computer, this sometimes clears various things saved in memory and stuff that could be complicating things for the game.

: Question about playing ranked.
Not sure what to say to your P.S.... You should make sure you're logged in in the upper right hand corner on the correct account before clicking Create Discussion. As for your ranked question - there are the following ranked queues available: 3v3 on Twisted Treeline 5v5 on Summoner's Rift The size of Summoner's Rift is simply too large with too much going on for a 3v3 battle to be realistic. I can tell you from experience with my custom 3v3 games that they take FOREVER unless there is a huge skill mismatch between the two teams.
: Poll to solo players: Will you play the new Ranked Flex Queue? How often?
Personally, I can't tell you if I'll play both or just one of the two yet. It sounds like there are different rewards for playing in each type of queue, so I'd like to see those rewards before making that decision. Of course, it also depends on my experiences in each queue type, whether good or bad, but to make even a preliminary decision, I'd like to see exactly what the differences in rewards will be. Outside of rewards, I wouldn't mind playing either type of queue. I am a pretty competitive person, so if the rewards were different enough, I would spend an equal amount of time in each queue to get as high a level of rewards as possible.
: Max Damage Swain Combo?
Not that it's a lot, but if you use E first, you DO lose a small amount of that damage amplification time. If you throw Q down to slow first, then E and W, you'll be doing plenty of damage. Often, players get scared when you just Q them anyway, because that shows the beginning of that combo and it has serious kill potential early on. Because of that, it's usually pretty easy to get someone's flash just by using Q. If they don't flash, punish them for it and finish the combo, either killing them or sending them back to base to heal up.
: The game tries to match you up based on your MMR, not your actual rank. MMR stands for Matchmaking Rating, and it's basically what skill level you should be at. For example, I'm bronze, yet I have extremely high normal MMR and often find myself with gold or even plat players in normal games, where my ranked MMR is around silver 5, so I'm often matched with and against mid-low silver players. Instead of blaming matchmaking for why you lost, take a look at your mistakes and try to fix them. You admitted that you made a few, and admitting them and not doing them in future games is how you climb. If you truly deserved to win that game, you would've won it even with the gold players on the enemy team because they have a similar MMR to yours, meaning that they deserve that gold rating about as much as you do. You are the only factor you can influence, so it makes 0 sense to blame the matchmaking system or your teammates. YOU play better, YOU earn yourself that gold, YOU want it, so fix YOUR mistakes until you're good enough to reach it. You are the ONLY factor in the games that you play that you can influence. I can certainly recommend to record your games using OBS or another recording program, watching them back will help you see some things that may have looked like they were good ideas at the time, but then when you watch them back you think "what in the world was I thinking?"
Did you read my post? I said that I looked at everyone's MMR on na.op.gg. Everyone on the other team had significantly higher MMR than anyone on my own team. I already watch my own replays to improve, and that's why I'm not in Bronze 3 where I was placed this season. It makes perfect sense to blame the matchmaking system and my teammates when this happens. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, which is why I asked this question. I can handle one loss - it's happened plenty of times. I know what I need to focus on to improve, I just want to know how this game seemed fair to Riot. Don't tell me it was MMR, because the unranked players both had Bronze MMR according to both lolstarz and op.gg.

Yea, she's not super common, but I personally don't ever see Draven either. Because the game is currently more team-oriented, those two champs are not super popular or strong. Yes, if the enemy team sucks at team fighting, either one of those two are going to be absolutely fantastic, but as long as your team knows how to focus and who to focus, they shouldn't be a problem.
