: Because the game used to be better, and the attachment formed during those times won't just disappear overnight
Please, the game was far worse back in the day, your just letting your nostalgia vision turn past league into what you want it to be. Let's bring up the fact dodge chance used to exist, and put that on jax.
: I hope when China finally withdraws League from every region but China, it withers into nothing more than a wannabe mobile game that has zero actual care put into it.
I mean, korea and china are by far the biggest and most populated regions right.
: I mean he made 13 distinct points, none of which you bothered to respond to... But yeah, I'm sure this game will go on forever with an exponential growth of new people and no one will ever stop playing it. My kids will play league. That seems like a thing that will happen. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}
My kids will definitely play league, cause I just laugh at the toxicity people have towards a competitive online game.

Release an OP champion so everyone plays it and then you can ~~nerf~~ profit off of it. Fixed that for you
Your bias dislike is scathing.
: Yup. I completely agree with this entire list. You should work at Riot.
: The state of the game is making people more and more toxic.
The state of the game is not what makes peoples mentality, the mentality comes from the community itself. There are so many ways of making comebacks as well, it's called stay calm and play it out instead of raging your little head off.
HideSide (EUNE)
: I would like to point on the thing that OP talks about and that is, that at one point the game is about stat checking meanwhile stating that champions like {{champion:84}} {{champion:114}} {{champion:39}} are as frustrating to play against or more than their old self. The things is that reworked versions of them have more depth and are less about stat stick. For example Irelia, she was before just about wqe, wqe, wqe, wqeR without depth attached like how you use given spells, it was just about just use them, however you want. The same goes for Fiora and Akali. Akali just outtraded you on combo, you couldnt outplay her, you could just beat her via decision making which was also hard with certain champions since she had upper hand and also high numbers as statsticker. She just used W and then jumped at you dealing full dmg, not just Q poke, and went back. I really think that there can be done something about game balance, but the game itself is way better right now then how it used to be ( I still remeber that 140% lifesteal sion with 800 AD 3,5 K HP and some crit chance with no bad attack speed ). The thing is that smaller things have greater impact now. When everyone was clunky then nobody was and nobody was statsticker in comparison. Whole level of gameplay moved forward, so everything seems less balanced than it was before. The whole game right now is more about details than it was before.
;-; Oh my god, someone who actually talks with their brain instead of emotions. Remember ap yi, or jax with actual dodge chance. It seems people want to go back to those times when people say older seasons were better when they actually aren't. ;-;
: But then riot would have to admit their matchmaking is bs.
They already admitted their matchmaking was bad, why do you think they mentioned they were working on something, the only thing is it won't be ready until later in the year and next year.
: What the sh** is with climbing this season?
I doubt it's true since your not sharing various screen shots, and I mean various, like multiple screen shots. That aren't tampered with.
: The problem with this game is that Riot doesn't give a flying fuck about the community or its opinion anymore. One could actually argue that this is the worst competitive game out there. Instead of Riot trying to make this game playable or give players a reason to play, they just ask the same question every patch: "Is our game competitive?". Every. Patch. It doesn't matter what we do anymore, we've reached a point where we fed Riot so much that boycotting doesn't work anymore. The devs clearly don't want the community's opinion (200+ years of collective experience after all). Is it really possible to say that this game isn't doomed?

The devs clearly don't want the community's opinion (200+ years of collective experience after all). Is it really possible to say that this game isn't doomed? You know what's funny, it's because most opinions mean jack shit in reality. They can't balance towards low tier players, it's practically impossible to balance towards people who lack skill in game. High tier where the pros are is where the champions shine the most and that's generally where balancing should be targeted towards. You balance towards the highest point of the champion, not the lowest point. Most complains people have are utter complete bullshit that can be fixed by just learning more of the game instead of blaming others for 'your' own failures. Most of the complaints towards riot about champions is just cause 'you' fucked up to where said champion beat 'you' so 'you' blame the balance team on it so 'you' can ignore 'your' own failure. Put apostrophes next to the you's so you know I'm not directly talking about you, but most of the people who complain. What I'm getting at is most complaints aren't really valid and it's just honestly too much work with how big the community is now to sort through all the shitty complaints that can be solved by player skill getting better just to find that one good complaint in the sea of shit complaints. People wonder why riot ignores the community, well it's people that constantly shit on and blame riot for every single thing that makes them want to ignore the community, no human being wants to just sit down and sift through so much complaints that blame them for everything.
: Can we Please Have the Option to MUTE people in champ select?
I mean, you can just ignore the chat. Those portions generally don't mean much.
: This champion is absolutely going to draw the lines between old generation of league players and the new. The old generation is going to attempt to stop ANYONE from playing this champion at any level. he will be ban on your own team if you so much as declare him in champ select. If you pull something sneeky and change last minute, then people will outright refuse to work with you. You will likely be false reported as well. The newer generation may actually get very good with him. The problem is most popular you-tubers and pros..the people who basically shape the play habits and attitudes of the community are of the OLD generation of league players. They are going to rally against this champion pick serverly. What this champion is going to do is possibly create an entirely new set of league personality's,who are fine with more complex champions and the changes in the game, hopefuly there are enough of them to sway public oppinen.
Not to mention, the biggest league youtubers generally always play in customs and clickbait people.
: A new champion without insane mobility? Wack.
Yep and anyone calling him overloaded simply didn't read the kit.
: Cool, when do we get a simple champion?
Next champion which is a juggernaut.
Omnisia (NA)
: **WE HAVE BEEN BEGGING FOR THE WEIRD CHAMP GIMMICKS TO STOP WTF IS THIS**
There are just as many people who love gimmick champions as there are people who dislike them.
: I thought we learned a valuable lesson in overloading kits with Aatrox, Irelia, and Akali but it seems it went in one ear and out the other. Why is is passive a (no joke) actual novel?
It's not overloaded though, it would be overloaded if he could actively switch between all weapons, but he has to stick with only have 2 weapons at a time. This is a champion that will take time to get used to, and macro a lot, hell his only damaging abilities are q and r, he isn't mobile, has no dashes, has no stuns. He only has a slow on ONE weapon.
Miriam (NA)
: Is it just me or does this cute twink legit got everything in his kit (just split up into weapons)? Is this a CertainlyT champ? Because he looks like he's in the category of his champs where hes gonna be fun to play but a nightmare to deal with because this is just way too much.
There isn't that much, he is limited to two weapons at a time so he will always have two abilities at once, his only damaging skill is his q and ult, his w simply switches between off hand and main hand, and he has no E
Mishli (NA)
: I do have a suggestion, if he doesn't have a proper E ability, maybe holding E could show you the current order of all your weapons, just so players that have trouble memorizing the order can plan out what's coming next?
There is already a symbol that shows the next weapon up when your main hand runs out of ammo.
: Prediction- Lowest win rate on launch, but after a bit of time pro play will be so busted with him it will become a unique model minion for non pro players. Next years Akali/Irelia.
Yea, I honestly can't wait to see what high skilled players can do with him. I don't think low skilled players will be that good with him, since there is so much to keep track of.
: Same with new Mordekaiser, no? He's pretty simple and straightforward as well
Hell the new juggernaut is supposed to be simple like garen and darius as well.
MLGMASTA (NA)
: just you wait until the next champion; which will be played in first person lol
I think the next champion is supposed to be a basic juggernaut like garen and darius.
: One, the whole "you deserve to lose" argument is bs. If you take 4 drakes and then enemy team snags a single elder ever you quite possibly lose, because new elder buff hard counters certain champions, such as Kindred, Vlad, Olaf, Warwick, Aatrox, etc. If you have the misfortune to be playing any sort of "below x percent hp" champion it doesn't matter how far ahead you are, elder buff will cuck you.
Don't see how it counters warwick or olaf. Kindred actually survives executes using her ulti. Anyways, you people are most likely the same ones who complain when games go on too long, but then complain when riot introduces something to end games quicker.
Mirai Ko (NA)
: Hey. . .hey! What are you doing!? Don't point out how the positives drastically out weigh the negatives, and how this leaves us better off with freedom of build diversity. Start complaining about the new thing like everyone else! Change = Bad. You know the drill. Talk about the positives and you'll get our new toys taken away. Don't be that guy.

You know the drill. > Talk about the positives and you'll get our new toys taken away. Don't be that guy. The funny thing is, this season so far, the positives outweigh the negatives in general. Like people complaining about elder, but if people actually contested objectives like their supposed to, Elder would be far into late game anyways. Normal dragons actually feel like they mean something now.
: Elder execute is NO FUN FOR ANYBODY
It's called prioritize objectives instead of going HERP DERP LETS JUST IGNORE DRAGON. If the teams are contesting dragon, elder will be far into late game, if your team is just letting dragons get taken(Top generally being the one generally not to blame since their so far away ) Then you deserve to lose. Learn to go for objectives, instead of just going for kills, your games might actually end better.
Riprox (NA)
: You should try opting out of chat as well. I just did last week, as a jungle main I was tired of my team trying to tell me what to do and tilting me over it by calling me moron for not helping the losing lane. Didn't they explicitly say that jungle XP was getting increased, as you can now hit lvl 3 off of buff wolves gromp? They did say that. Go to https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/gameplay/preseason-2020-gameplay-rise-elements and control + F "We're also slightly decreasing jungle XP."
This is what it says "Jungle Path Diversity Early jungling currently revolves around Krugs due to their high gold/XP tuning, resulting in pretty one-dimensional pathing and a heavy blue-side advantage due to bot lane's proximity to Krugs. We're making XP and gold changes in order to open up more diverse pathing options and jungle strategies—most significantly, reducing Krugs' value and buffing Gromp's so junglers can hit level 3 off any combination of outer camp (Gromp or Krugs), buff camp, and any third camp. We’ve also added respawn timer icons (like you see on red and blue buff) to the minimap for every camp to help all junglers plan their next moves." It's not a nerf, their balancing it out more.
Jaspers (EUW)
: In the Rune Reforged stream ages ago, Meddler that 'Reap' a ditched rune wasn't good for gameplay as it meant that at 15% HP the next auto by a champ would kill you. So instead of treating your HP as 15% left, treat it as your new Zero. So they didn't add it as it wasn't good for gameplay. What happened? {{champion:6}} {{champion:555}} This...
I mean, there have been plenty of ults that just execute champions though. Chogath is a giant ass monster of execution.
: Did you bother to listen to what they said? They're taking away "hidden" power from the drake buffs and giving the execute which players can predict and react accordingly.
This also means that people who obtained more drakes don't get a better advantage of getting elder.
: Think of it this way... the elder buff now gives true damage. So it's doing more damage to you over the course of the teamfight... making it more oppressive. I mean... it's more or less similar, but I can see why the idea of an execute seems kind of odd.
It loses the bonus stats it gave. It just does a burn and execute now. The thing is, there are lots of times where elder is just wasted cause people just seem to be afraid to fight with it. And honestly by the time elder is in play, the game should be over anyways, it's more of an ending buff.
: Yeah... No adc love or tank love. ADC almost doesn't exist in most games already. (garen yummi, insert mage tank combo here).
Nah man, it's all about that crit garen darius bot lane.
: oh boy, more jungle XP nerfs without decreasing camp respawn time, because that doesn't *literally encourage a permagank camp meta that nobody likes*
It's not really a nerf, more just a balance, Krugs lose some xp, but gromp gains more. If you go blue gromp wolves, you are most likely going to hit level 3 now.

This is along the line of high skilled friends teaching friends or new players how to play. I had a "platinum" with a trash beginner. They went 4/17 total. So no, the "Matchmaking" of LoL is the worst.
People buy accounts and get boosted all the time, that has nothing to do with match making.
: Why waste 20-XX min in a game you have very low chance of winning ? How can it be a good experience to yet have another AFK on your team for the 50th time this season ? You are trapped in a game for the 50th time you can't get out of. I can tell you what i got better at when i have AFKs n TROLLS in my games and that is very simple to just accept the loss early, press ALT+F4, and logon my secondary account. Its just not worth the time, i can't control my team in any way, but i can control whether I'm on it or not.
Why waste time playing the game in general if you aren't even going to try to fucking win regardless of the situation.

O.o It's not that bad, it's an angel using a robotic body as a host, so it makes sense.

Their premades obviously, but because those low levels are paring with a high level, those low levels match making is going to get fucked. This is along the line of high skilled friends teaching friends or new players how to play.
: So its the players fault, that someone DC'ed ? Can you explain how exactly ? You know just as well as i do, that in those 4v5 games you loose 99% of the times, personally i'll rather just give up some LP or XP and get going in another game, than having a bad experience.
Bad experiences are only bad experiences when you yourself make them bad experiences. You literally don't get better at stuff by giving up, you get better through actually trying.

TT has a playerbase in the hundreds of thousands or even millions, but it's not a worthwhile "investment" to them, despite having never done anything for the mode in the first place even if all 900 viewers here played it, they'd still get rid of it, just like Dominion

: I am all for if ANY ONE DCs the rest of the game, or a certain amount of time, then the rest of the team does not lose LP. And you can keep duos from abusing this by excluding the other duo if 1 of the 2 DCs.
Do you not know how abusable that is? You don't even need a fucking duo to abuse it.
: I never really understood the Riot attitude "Lets keep players hostages in a game they don't want to be in, and if they leave lets punish them hard". The surrender vote should be enabled after 5min, and if 4 people vote yes, end the damn game, how frekking had can it be ???? Being in a game with AFK'ers feeders etc etc is not a fun experience. And ya it sucks that a billion company can't code a /remake option that actually works, who in the right mind cares if the player who DC'ed tries to connect 300 million times ? If he or she is not in game by 3min mark, then give the team the option to remake.
Riot is not at fault here, it's the defeatist attitude that the community has. They see one mishap and go GG WE LOSE SURRENDER PLEASE, instead of actually trying to win, 4v5's are no excuse since you can win those by ACTUALLY TRYING.
: Pyke surviving isn't the problem here. It's his stupid ass heal that allows every moron to just missplay 23/7 and regenerate most of it by going out of sight.
Garen, mundo. :| Garen just has to go out of combat, and mundo can literally live in the ranks of the enemy with his R
: Does ignite not give truesight ? (In which would stop the healing from starting in the first place, since Pyke only heals when he is unseen..)
It doesn't give truesight, it doesn't show invisible targets, just people in the fog of war.
: I believe the new standards for champions getting Legendary skins should be among the following: * Must not be a recently released champion (Sylas, Qiyana, Neeko, Yuumi). * Must be a champion that's been in the roster for at least 3 years. * Must have at least 4 skins. * If the champion's reworked, it must wait for approximately a year to get one. If they already have a Legendary skin, then they're qualified for one but still have to wait (Galio, Nunu & Willump, and Kayle). * Must not be a champion that already has a Legendary skin; exceptions are champions that have more than one Legendary (Legacy) skins back in the early days of LoL (Annie, Cho'Gath, Corki, Twisted Fate, Dr. Mundo, Olaf, and Kog'Maw). Fiddlesticks and Draven are still qualified for a Legendary because those are made for the fans.
: Why was Ahri needed there in this cinematic ? I mean, why to steal the spotlight at the end? It would have been perfectly fine if she'd would have looked at the star and felt the rocks glow or whatever... But why break a wall to look all glorious when Neeko carried the fight? Worst of all, the girl is litteraly at her feet, with Xayah and Rakan in the back, but she takes the time to look at the rocks like 'HEY PEOPLE, REMEMBER THEM FROM PREVIOUS VIDEO ??! Fooooreshadowing'. Flawless except the ending. Think there could have been a much better use of the character of Ahri without forcing her as the hero at the end.
You seem very salty about ahri coming to the rescue of one of her previous teammates.
: If just balance team was as good as art team
Balance team is fine, most of the shit towards the balance team comes off as people just not wanting to look at their own mistakes and instead decides to blame the game and the people behind it.
