: Bring Back Warmog's Armor to ARAM!
Soraka was definitely hit the hardest by warmog's absence and I feel she needs some compensation buffs. But otherwise it's good ridance. Warmogs broke Aram.

: Did it really hurt tanks/juggernauts that much? I play ARAM quite a lot, yet I didn't see warmog being bought that often. Personally I felt like it was either useless, because of opponents whose all-in was just too much or because they had GW, or it was overkill, and it made already winning games a joke. i won't deny that in more than one occasion it could've been a game changer, but it wasn't a common occurrence. I like playing tanks, so I too am a little pissed that they take a tank item away from us from ARAM. But I never saw it as a must buy. Instead, I dislike the choice to remove banner of command, that too wasn't a must buy, but was a fun item overall, and it don't think it was oppressive or unfun, even if used vs full AP teams. In addition, now that upgraded minions aren't immune to magic damage anymore, there shouldn't be composition that are totally unable to deal with them, so I don't really se a reason to take it away. I agree with you on one thing though: lifesteal should have reduced effects in aram, otherwise an adc staying at full health by hitting minions (and poking) isn't that different from a tank with warmog.

I think it hurt juggernauts more than it hurt tanks to remove warmogs. When I played a tank, warmog would be one of the last defensive items I would build. I usually go for the health/armor or health/mr items first. The health provided by warmogs is just not good enough a defense against hyper scaling champs like veigar who can hit you for 1000 damage on a 3 sec cooldown and nuke you for 2k after that. You need to stack MR/Armor fast as well health to curb that kind of damage. With that said, if you were gonna build a single defensive item on a juggernaut build, warmogs makes sense since it pads against all types of damage (magic, physical and true) regardless of what your up against.
: If you removed Warmog's from ARAM
I'm glad Warmog is gone. It was just too strong. But to me, the worst offenders weren't the pure tanks like Rammus and Malphite. The ones that broke Warmog were champions like Trundle and Darius who pumped out high damage while remaining invincible.
: It's definitely capable, may not be as good as Windows but I still have no problem running games on my MBP at 120fps or higher. Just comes down to developer optimization which I'm sure is much less on the Mac side for most games. But WoW switched to Metal and it runs great on my computer, don't see why League would be harder in anyway.

And like you said, there is zero reason Leagues would be a more challenging game to port to metal compared to WoW.
: macOS Mojave deprecating openGL
It would be very cool if Riot changed leagues to run on Metal. After all, based on the demo during yesterday’s keynote, the mac platform is entirely capable of being a formidable gaming platform. The demo displayed very high quality graphics and was butter smooth. Granted it was running on an egpu, but still it shows the potential. So it seems the mac’s gaming problem is not an OS issues (metal is very capable), it’s not hardware anymore either (egpus open a lot of doors), it seems it’s more from lack of application support.

: [FEEDBACK] Thoughts on current state of ARAM (8.11, event)
Besides the Dark Harvest nerfs and the removal of warmogs, I think everything is temporary. Both of those changes I highly approve. Warmogs especially was so broken on champs that utilized it. I also approve of the relic AOE effect. It really adds an extra dimension to this game mode giving you something else to fight over besides towers. I don't care for the special event items, especially the boots so I won't be sad to see them go. The map is also gorgeous and I sincerely hope the bring it back in some form of map rotation switching back and forth between butcher's bridge and howling abyss.
: macOS Mojave deprecating openGL
I'm expecting my first child in July so maybe Apple removing support for openGL is my cue to bow out of Leagues.

: Holy moly shield spam is finally being ADDRESSED
Played against a team yesterday that had orianna, lux and shen. Orianna got super fed because she was perma shielded between her own shield and her teammates'. It's was actually pretty hilarious just how much damage she could soak. I was a full damage Gangplank with around 350 AD and between my Q and a couple of auto attacks I could get in before she blew me up, I didn't get through the shield.
: let's talk about udyr.
There's no doubt he's God tier in the jungle. Somehow people have at times forgotten about Udyr despite him always being a great pick. I think it has to do with the fact that he's one of the only champions in the game with zero range abilities which makes people nervous. But I wouldn't call him broken. He's got clear weaknesses in the form of no range. And if he's building damage and blowing you up 1v1, he will loose on the long run since your ADC can return the favor and melt him from a distance. Strength wise, he's where he should be given how much damage and mobility is available in the game at the moment.

So at 5% he’s lower than random chance but still not terrible. 1 out of every 20 games has an Aatrox.
: Mac Client constantly crashes in game
This started happening to me when the pre season was launched. The last patch or two, the frequency seems to have reduced but it’s still happens about every 3-4 games. No clue what to do. Between the upgrades to the macOS UI with the metal API and the changes to the client at the start of preason, someone screwed up somewhere.
: Is Aatrox a lane bully?
It probably depends on the matchup. But a good player will be careful with how he uses his Q and make it hurt. So yeah, he can definitely be a lane bully. The thing I’ve noticed though is your either loose early and fall way behind, or you win the first matchup and snowball hard. There isn’t much middle ground with Aatrox.
: League freezes in game, every game, within the first 10 minutes
It’s been happening to me regularly ever since the preseason. The game usually crashes right as the first skirmish happens. Yesterday I did a complete reinstall of the leagues client since I hadn’t done it in over a year. Hopefully that helps. I played 5 games yesterday after the reinstall and the game didn’t crash so fingers crossed.
: Why is skarner so bad
His R is actually pretty good. But seems like he’s become an R-bot. The rest of his kit just seems so benign. I noticed he seemed somewhat dominant 1v1 after the trinity force power spike. But after that, he drops off like a rock and I wasn’t able to 1v1 anyone. It’s hard to believe he can survive in the jungle and not get murdered by a khazix or a rengar. He needs some tlc real bad.

: Welp, That Killed Jungle Diversity and any Interest I Had Playing This Game
Maybe riot is just giving themselves some room to spot buff the champions that were really hurt by the xp buffs. After all, a lot of people agreed that jungle had too much power. For the record, I think jungle should be strong because it’s damn hard to be a jungler and you need some incentive to entice people towards that position.
F1SHEYES (NA)
: Darius or Urgot?
Darius is very popular and seems to do quite well. His resetting ult is nuts late game and he can wipe out a team. But I’m partial to urgot. Even if his range is somewhat short, just having range at all is huge if you ask me. Plus ulting a squishy that’s trying to run away feels oh so satisfying.
: Malzahar no longer competitive at high ELO
I wish they'd do the Leblanc treatment to him and just revert his rework. He was more fun to play back when his voidlings were tied to his passive and scaled off of AD.
: Can any of you lads give me the rundown on Vladmir?
Strengths: second to none lane sustain with self heal and no mana. Late game team damage can be amazing. Fairly tanky for a mage. Weaknesses: He’s slow to ramp up. Mediocre damage early and mid game. Many games end before you reach vlad’s time to shine. Not the best waveclear initially and because of that, you’ll have to stay in lane longer before you can push the lane far enough to safely back. My build of choice: {{item:3158}} {{item:3116}} {{item:3065}} {{item:3151}} {{item:3089}} {{item:3135}} Play style: I usually play a passive style in lane just because he just doesn’t pump out a lot of damage early on. Poke with your Q when you can and watch out for ganks. Your goal at this point is simply to deny the enemy your tower. Once you’ve got 5 out of 6 slots, you’ll start hurting a lot and the opponents should start respecting you. At this point, you should be able to delete a squishy on the other side and do major damage to the rest of the team with your Ult and E. Your teams should easily pick out the rest of the team. That’s basically it with vlad
: Mac High Sierra Crash
The Mac client is a second class citizen. Always has been. There are just not enough players that play on macs. I suspect the only reason we even have a Mac client is not because of the player base, but because a few of the riot developers are huge Mac fans. After all, it’s a wonderful platform for development and content creation. To put into perspective, the Mac client is still referred to as “beta” nearly 10 years after its launch.

I cringe when my teammates select him. Then you haven't played with a good jhin. My brother in law loves to play Jhin and he wrecks shop every... single... time... with him. Not saying Jhin is over powered since he's gatted by attack speed and an assassin can dispatch him easily. But in the hands of a skilled player, he's nuts.

: i think it's time for riot to update summoner's rift
Well I thought the point of the "new" summoner's rift was to not be flashy. It was meant to be not distracting so you could more easily focus on the action. DOTA2 is prettier for sure but it's also a bit harder to play if you ask me. Also DOTA2 needs more horsepower to run smoothly. Riot did a good job of modernizing SR without taxing the system any more.

: Is it just me or is sivir just a weak adc?
If you need to have your E up so much, you're not positioning her right and over extending. Her early game is meh, the way it should be and I think she's phenomenal when fully built. Having a spell shield to block some bursty abilities is what makes her crazy good. And her W in the middle of team fight wrecks shop. Her Q is take it or leave it. Not bad at snipping champions that are trying to escape with low health but that's about it.

Wouldn't that make him less likely to snowball if he struggles more at the very beginning?
: Brand's base damage is too high
In recent years, I've always felt like Brand was the most toxic midlaner in the game. His harass in early game is super strong and he's an absolute monster late game with his ult. I'd be willing to leave his godly late game but his early games needs some nerfs. You just can have champions that are strong at every phase of the game. It's either early, mid or late game. Pick one.

Karma definitely doesn’t need a stronger shield. She can dish out way more damage than sona. Hey mantra Q hits like a truck late game and is on a low cool down if you go through your rotations.

The other aspect is whether that can come up with a new kit and model that fits the fantasy of the champion. I agree with you Morde has greater need than Irelia, but maybe Irelia was just easier to materialize with good ideas for her new kit coming in a bit more easily. Morde's a bit harder to pin point. They probably haven't decided if they want to go the juggernaut route or the mage route yet. The only clear thing is that Morde's rework will be polarizing.
Kai Guy (NA)
: What direction do yall want to see focused in the morde rework?
He needs to be the premier AP juggernaut. Slow but durable and absolutely lethal at melee ranges. I'd definitely like some aspect with him and soul manipulation. Maybe with an ability similar to Illaoi's Test of Spirit where he tears the spirit away from his opponents. EDIT: Just had a crazy idea. What if he had two stances. One stance he's inside his armor. He's slower in that stance but more durable. In his second stance, he leaves his armor behind and does some crazy spirit stuff. He gains a bit more mobility and damage with a tradeoff of being very vulnerable. That would be amazing.
: @Riot, can we give my ol' pal Naut some love?
I think people expect too much from Nautilus. In champion design, you have durability, utility (crowd control, heals, shields and various other buffs) and offensive potential (mobility and damage). You gotta pick 2 out of the three and sounds like Riot wants nautilus to be tanky and have good cc. Buffing his damage would make him overpowered as hell. If he's struggling in top lane, seems that more due to the general damage creep we've seen in the game and the fact that popular top lane juggernauts have too much power and need some nerfs. Buffing nautilus' damage to make him balanced in top lane would be the bad way to go for the overall health of the game.

I prefer the assassin rework than how it use to be. They basically gave counterplay and a window of opportunity to save your butt when facing an assassin. Back in the days, when an assassin would land in your field of view, it was basically too late to do anything. That's not fun to play against.
: VGUs after Aatrox and Akali?
Visually speaking, mordekaiser needs it the most. He could look amazing based on what they've been doing lately with new champs. Based on gameplay, I think Nunu needs it the most. He doesn't feel good to play at all.
: Is Sol in a good spot
The last few times I faced him, he did extremely well. But I play mostly ARAM so I can't say how good he is on SR. But he seems to be in a good spot IMHO.
: Anybody ever try to play Lee Sin as a support?
Because he's off meta, how he performs in the role is probably highly dependent on the skill of the player wielding him. Great Lee Sin players can potentially wreck shop in bottom lane because they can utilize his hit to his maximum potential. Anything less and the player will bring a famished champion that will contribute nothing into the late game.
: Its a thing, it just isn't optimal because he's more gold dependent than a typical support would be. There are a few other melee champs out there that fill the support role decently as an off meta choice, but its going to be hit or miss, and if its a miss, its gonna be a hard miss. Lee, Aatrox, Trundle, Nocturne, Pantheon, J4, for example are all completely capable, and have supporty aspects to them, but they are gold dependent, with really the only exception being Trundle. Trundle is a very good off meta support choice, that I wish people would play more often. He plays a rather passive lane, but I'm pretty sure he has more presence than any other support in the game once mid and late game come around.

That's interesting. Trundle is indeed a beast late game and I reckon his pillar slow is pretty dang strong during laning. I do see Lee having some gold issues which he relies on but I wonder if he could survive with {{item:3308}} to make up the difference.

Shen works rather well built as a bruiser. If built as a pure tank, his contribution to team fights drastically drops after the taunt wears off. You should definitely obtain some of your tank stats (MR, Armor and HP) from offensive items like the poster above pointed out. You'll be far better equipped after that to be a thread and contribute some respectable damage.

Interesting fact, Albert Einstein's birthday was March 14th. The mystical powers of Pi day apparently exert its influence on brilliant physicists.
: What if Crits weren't chance based but a resource bar?
They should remove crit completely from the game. The RNG nature of it makes it too hard to balance. At low crit percentage levels, you can get lucky and crit twice in a row and completely delete your opponent. And conversely, if you rely on crit to be able to take down targets, it may fail you and you get demolished. Except for specific champions that have empowered attacks (like Yi's E or Vayne's W), auto attacks should dish out a predictable amount of damage which is much easier to balance.
: Maybe i'm just bad with Ashe but...
Not an Ashe main here, but I think you just need to play pretty safe with her. She can't go bonkers like a fed Draven can but her damage is still more than sufficient to annihilate any squishies. Her Q proc pumps out surprising amounts of damage. You also have to remember that she has an almost point and click stun when cast at short range, a perma slow and a long range scouting ability. Few other ADCs can do that. And her vision advantage can help her contest objectives in much greater safety. I think her power lies more in her general utility rather than raw burst damage.
: Currently what champion has the worst late game?
Maybe {{champion:43}}? Her late game damage output is just not enough to take down all but the most squishy champions. Also {{champion:20}} doesn't blow me away either.

I had the champion.gg page for viktor open from last Friday I believe. He was sitting at 51-52% win rate last week. I refreshed the page this morning and he's not sitting just above 47%. That's a 4% drop over the weekend. He definitely needs some attention.
: Just Saw A Jax With This Build 1v3 Late Game And Survived
People have forgotten attack speed Jax. You’d build life steal and attack speed and practically 1v5 a team. After the nerfs to life steal several seasons ago (was season 4 or 5 maybe?), people stopped playing him in that way. He may not be able to 1v5 anymore but he’s still very strong and can win so many matchups with a number disadvange because of his mobility and sustained damage. Now makes me wanna go play Jax 😃.
