: Champion Reveal: Jhin, the Virtuoso
LORE LEAK FROM RELIABLE SOURCE: He has a dark and mysterious past. here, have a long, drawn out, 15 year old fanfic-quality story about a completely unconnected character who will probably end up shot at the end, leaving you with no extra details beyond what the champion looks like and the contents of his kit. Sample: "The governor of piltover got up on tuesday, stroking his handsome mustache and remarking how good he looked, and how similar to Riot Internslave, the sexiest employee at Riot. He ate a brisk breakfast, but then looked into his smashed mirror to see a man with a scary square shoulder and mask. Oh no, he thought, and ran immediately. But then he was caught in a trap! Panicked, he scrambled from his front door, having been slowed while he stayed in the radius of the trap and dealt extra damage after it expired. Too late he noticed a floating mark over his head, and he had just enough time to get some passing minions in the way. However, it was to no avail, and a long piercing shot struck him, rooting him to the ground! Flabbergasted the governor watched in horror as a grenade finished off the last three minions, striking him for massive damage! The scary mask man left his front door, saying only "I am Jhin" before going into a long channel and shooting four bullets into the governor, the last of which crit him in the face and he died, never again to be mentioned in any lore. The end."
: The passive is not unique, it's just a very sneaky Yi passive. Every 4 attacks, Yi will attack twice, with the second attack dealing half damage. Every 4 attacks, Jhin will deal extra damage (half an AA I guess)
No, it's just a slightly modified caitlyn passive. Caitlyn passive: Crits regularly, gets a mini-crit every 7. Jhin passive: doesn't crit, gets a crit every 4. Caitlyn Q: Shoots a line projectile. Jhin W: Shoots a line projectile. Roots if you hit someone hit by the trap. Caitlyn W: Puts down a trap that roots. gets a free auto for conditional safe damage. Jhin E: Puts down a trap that slows. Gets extra conditional damage if you land a W. The only difference is cait E and Jhin Q. Luckily, jhin's Q is completely original and nothing like it has ever been done. Oh, hey fiddlesticks and Sivir, what's up?
: They have 100+ champs. It's hard not to have some sort of overlap for a while. I think that they did really well with Jhin in making him still feel unique, even if they pulled inspiration from elsewhere
Pulled Inspiration is an interesting way to say "Took and slightly modified 3/4 skills then replaced E with Fiddlesticks E".
: Champion Reveal: Jhin, the Virtuoso
"Leagues slowest marksman yet" Me: Cool, a champ without any mobility, they're gonna try and release one that works! That'll be interesting. *Looks at passive. Speed boost. Extra speed boost on W.* Soooo Riot, did we forget about Ashe, Kog'maw, Varus (HEY GUYS REVOLUTIONARY IDEA LETS MAKE A MARKSMAN WHOS LIKE VARUS BUT BETTER HE'LL BE TOTALLY DIFFERENT), Miss Fortune, and Urgot?
Rioter Comments
: When Riven mains say Riven only has damage just mention the fact that she has 2 AOE Hard CCs
So is Cataclysm not a hard cc? It's definitely AOE cc, and EQ on Jarvan is huge AOE cc. Also, are we counting Yasuo's knockup and ult as two separate ccs? They have to be comboed but they are technically two separate AOE hard ccs, as you can ult off say a Malphite ult, then do your knockup layer. Vi also technically has two AOE displaces. Given that Riven's third Q is also more of a "technically AOE " hard cc I think Vi counts here too. So, we done here?
: yasuo really needs buffs for his laning phase...
muh booh hoooooh if I get ganked all I can do is stop any and all projectiles from my opponent and dash through the ganking jungler to escape.... Plsriot I neeeeedz more mobilitah or I will never survive...
: Sometimes I get the feeling people won't be happy until supports are completely replaced
Don't worry, next patch Annie and other tanky burst mages will be so retardedly OP in a solo lane people won't even remember they used to be supports. TBH tho i'm happy when every kind of support is useful. I personally dislike the Cancer Cow when i'm not playing him, but I don't want him nerfed. I want to see Annie reworked into a champ that requires actual skill/has actual counterplay but that has nothing to do with what role she's in. At east as a support she's not one-shotting your team while having more HP than your mundo.
: I am a new player and I enjoy the game a lot, I don't see the problem, I have bought a starter pack that is in my opinion really cheap and you have some champions in property plus the rotation, and for me is more than enough. I am watching a lot of streaming videos to learn, if you come to this game 5 years after the launch it is normal to make some efforts, people has been playing these years so it is normal they have more experience and they are better than me and have more runes, glyphs, champions... I think is fair, they have made an effort during these years playing. This is only my opinion as a new player, I have seem a lot smurf players and help a lot to gain matches agains bots, I know they are smurf players so I don't think I am a bad player but I think one day I will play as good as this player.
It's great when the Smurf players are on your team vs the bots. Now try having one on your team against other players. Either A) you're going to get stomped on really badly by a smurf on the enemy team, probably with taunting and trash talk, or B) you're going to have one on your team screaming at you every time you make a mistake. the starter pack is OK, but contains all the 450 champions. combined, all those champs are worth 4900 IP. It'd take you more time than it takes to earn every single one of them to buy a single 6300 IP champion.
Llanite (NA)
: 2 scenarios: If they dodge your spell with their mobility ability, it's 1 for 1, you won trade since dash typically costs more mana and longer cd. if they dodge your stuff with normal movement, their mobility provides them no extra advantage. Mobile champions are better at engaging/disengaging but once they are within range, immobile usually wins, since the mobile already spent one of their ability to engage you.
Dash....typically....LOL. I literally cannot think of a basic skill dash in the game that costs more than like 60 mana. Oh yeah Nid jumped out of my lucent singularity I win the trade right.
NemeBro (NA)
: My biggest problem with Ekko (besides his huge numbers for a champion with so much utility) is the passive on his W. Why is it there? Why does he have a low health %HP damage execute? How does it fit with Ekko's time theme? How does it relate to the active on his W? It doesn't. It seems like it was put there, just to be put there. Can anyone justify his W passive's existence? Can anyone defend its thematic relevance? It, more than any other ability, doesn't gel with the rest of his kit at all. His passive has a similar problem, but to a lesser extent.
It feels like Ekko was originally designed to have autoattacks be a large part of his damage. They took the idea for his ultimate and started with that. Then, they gave him the speed boost passive and the execute %hp passive, trying to go for almost an AP melee bruiser. Then, so he could have survivability and cc, they stuck his W in there, and when it wasn't reliable enough they pumped it up into the absolutely ludicrous skill that it currently is. Then, because no champ can be without the tools for LC$BigPlayz, they stuck a line skillshot slow and a whole bunch of dashes in there, and he ended up a burst assassin because his damage was so high he never even had to build remotely tanky.
Rioter Comments
: Honestly, I don't know what Riot was thinking when they made him...I love the idea and concept for Ekko and was really excited to play him when I heard about him but when I actually saw him..I refused to play him due to him just doing so much. I have 3 major problems with his kit and stats and that's his Passive, his Shield and his ult. I have no problems with his Q or his E and find those skills fair. His passive is basically Diana's passive but like 3 times better...Honestly, Riot must be completely running out of ideas to constantly re-use these "Stacking" passives. Don't we already have Braum, Vel'Koz, (Re-worked Skarner), Gnar, (Maybe count Kalista?), Kennen, Varus, Vayne, Vi, Diana. And most of those came out recently. Anyways, Ekko's passive does about the same damage as Diana's passive while also giving Him up to an 80% movement speed increase, and slowing the enemy for 80% for 3 seconds. Basically...in lane if you actually land both proc's of his Q (I believe you can get a stack from both damaging parts of his Q) then all you go to do is use your E's dash to jump on them, doing more then half their HP, and getting a movement speed while slowing them down. So you can easily get away without much retaliation. While the 2.25 Second Stun is really annoying, what annoys me is the Shield amount. So while fighting him you dodge his stun, he'll still get a massive shield 330 + 80% AP. I don't know why an assassin has the highest shield in the game (Not Counting the HP % shields). As for his ultimate...I don't care for his ult being the best "get out of any situation" with additional healing, but honestly that should be the only thing about it. The fact that he does 500 + 130% AP on top of all that is insane. Yes you can avoid it easily in a 1v1 or a 2v2 and have no reason to be hit by it. However, not all the time that would be the case. It's not easy to keep track of the ghost while in the middle of a 5v5 team fight and if you and your team lose track of the ghost for just a second, your entire team will get nuked for about as much as a Veigar's Ult. His damage wouldn't be so crazy if it was all very small aoe or single target damage but everyone one (But for his E) has a massive aoe range on it. And yet...the only change Riot's doing is lowering down Ekko's base damage of his E...the one non-aoe skill and the only skill he has that's not entirely crazy. Normally I don't make these types of posts about complaining about a champion...but I'm just tired of doing team builder and playing with 2 Ekko's in every game and the Ekko's are always the ones that carry the game.
He's just got so much shit shoved into every single orifice. Take his W: Why does the damn thing slow when Ekko has two other slows already mushed into his kit? Why does it give him %hp scaling magic damage with every autoattack on low health targets-Why does a burst assassin need a tank killing skill like that? Why does he still get the shield if he doesn't catch a champion, isn't that a reward of safety for using the skill suboptimally? Why is he allowed to hide the indicator particle like that? 2.25s AOE stun % slow field 300+.8AP shield and %Hp autoattack shred passive...factor in his passive and that's an ENTIRE KIT for another champion. Taric wishes he had a support kit equivalent to Ekko's W.
Mat7itan (NA)
: His entire kit is extremely telegraphed and easy to deal with. Yeah he can do a lot of damage and has great utility, but all of his stuff is easy to avoid.
Telegraphed by particles that are either invisible or that he can hide in bushes. It's not rocket science to use the guy's W: Stand in a bush, throw it in the general area of the enemy team. it's then got a .5s delay and then you use your instant dash+Blink to go over a wall and straight into the middle of the enemy team. Boom, you've just unleashed the same amount of hard cc that most supports have in their ultimates with a basic skill and you've just claimed the single most powerful AP scaling shield in the entire game as a reward for your "l33t skillz" of predicting that the team that is currently advancing up midlane is going to keep doing that. Even just stunning then slowing an entire team and blinking out, ekko has a higher impact than most champs can hope to have with an absolutely optimal combo. And he didn't even use his biggest burst damage skill.
: his q is so easy to avoid. het second back at least... super easy also if you factor in lichbane on ekko why not one annie? and annie point click 100-0 all her damage. ekkos is not point click or insta. you honestly its easier to pull of ekkos combo then talon? like wtf dude... you ever played talon or ekko?
...Because Annie doesn't buy Lich Bane? It's Ekko's first build as an assassin who has a reason to autoattack (two of his 9,000 passives). Ekko has to do exactly one thing Talon doesn't: Get someone in that field. Which, as I've mentioned, is not even important to his burst. He hits a button, blinks in, auto-applies Lich Bane, and pops out his point-blank wide skillshot (same as Talon) which then the enemy has a window to get out of the way of the return strike, but they're slowed (again like Talon) or stunned (which Talon doesn't have. In this window, he has to autoattack a couple times for extra damage (same pattern as Talon) and then he hits R to escape (same as Talon) except that his escape is a blink and talons is a stealth that deals some extra damage. That is the exact same pattern that Talon uses to burst squishies, with exactly the same level of #butmuhskillcap. Now, ON TOP OF ALL THAT, Ekko also has the insane possibilities given to him with his huge slow field, free speed boost, 2.25s stun+enormous offensively scaling shield, and his huge burst AOE ultimate if he also wants to do that. So while Talon snowballs and bursts one member of your team with no counterplay, Ekko does that and then turns around and goes "LOL also here have some hard cc and burst I've only used two of my skills!"
: compare ekko to talon? ekko cant point click q w r insta gi squssiy in under 0.5 sec while dong massive damage on the whole enemy and then go invis. ekko is much harder to play, so when you use ekko to the fullest he is stronger then talon, but most of the times talon will outclass him
Uh....Yes he can. I mean, fuck, let's look at what he does: Phase dives in, deals 170+20% AP+Lich Bane Instantly, possibly gets the 2.25 second stun+enormous shield (if he hides the batter up, say, in a bush, you get .5 seconds of warning to leave an AOE the size of cleveland so I guess we can ignore that) then deals 280+80% AP with timewinder which you can't avoid due to it being point blank, then 15+12xEkko's level+70% AP due to his passive, then he can blink out. If he gets you in the AOE, he can easily do all that in the *very slightly* forgiving window of 2.25 seconds of stun with his 300+80%AP shield. That's a grand total of ~600+2.2AP ratio with Lich Bane once he's maxed his Q and E. That's about 100 damage less than a full level 16 Annie rotation, without even needing to use his ultimate, which let's remember deals an extra 500+1.3AP damage if he needs that. Talon WISHES he could instagib ADCs with no counterplay like Ekko can, and Talon gets no shield, no massive blink+heal, and no 80% speed boost.

Halo (EUNE)
: There is a 5th one called Ground target area of effect ability commonly known as aoe or ground target abilities. These are abilities that doesnt have a projectile. Examples can be found [here](http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ground-targeted) Some people call them skillshots while that is not completetly correct. I might add that some abilities are hybrids between GT and skillshot.
True. I lumped them in because besides the projectile, they are essentially the same as skillshots. And there are some that are quite close between the two like Soraka's Q and Lux's ult.
Lëgend (EUW)
: The system is not perfect by any means but you know what? Sometimes it's best to just not say anything, use pings instead if you really have to. If they start to thrash talk, block them and report them at the end. That kind of people are not worth answering to.
I don't usually say anything besides "Report X for Y please" when it is actually applicable (Either AFK, Intentional feeder, or actually serious abuse/rage). And I only say that because I know most people just leave after postgame screen so you miss half the people if you try to type it then.
Rioter Comments
: Current state of spell popularity is less and less diverse
Actually, Smite's system of summoner spells is similar, but much better. for one thing, they're items that you actually buy in-game though they are quite cheap. It does however allow you to get the spell that fits the specific matchup. Additionally, there are upgrade paths so that spells start less powerful, and get more powerful. I'll use flash as an example: Flash starts out similar to how it works in league, but it cannot be used while in combat. So it is an engage, but not a disengage, tool. Its first upgrade slightly increases range and decreases cooldown, but the third upgrade gives you a choice between either really really long range and short CD, OR the option to use it combat with a much longer CD. That method introduces choices to the players mid-game, and while some spells particularly blink are necessary on some gods, there is much less of a situation where you're 100% locked into one build at one time with one spell.

It's not the .5 second silence that makes blitz' ult busted, it's the absurd burst he can add on to his crazy grab combo to instagib someone and win the game instantly late game. Yeah I know, but his ultimate isn't any joke in the middle of a 5v5 even if it is just a .5s silence, that's .5s most of your team can't do a whole lot while the other can and most teamfights. They want to give Blitzcrank damage on top of constant CC, with his whole combo you can be grabbed, knocked up, and silenced for a total of 3 seconds (which is the duration of some teamfights) while doing about 920 damage. Because of how absurd Blitzcrank's damage is I'm actually quite surprised he isn't played commonly as a top or mid lane, the few times I have seen a Blitz do so all turned out with him getting fed. His Grab + Ultimate scale 100% off his AP (while his Ultimate's Passive is 20% AP), and his Knockup scales 100% of AD but it's an empowered auto attack so it's basically two auto attacks instantly. It's very difficult to fight Blitzcrank in a duel if he chooses to go AP/Hybrid because of how crazy big his shield can get and how much damage he can do with relatively little risk on top of totally invalidating almost everything you want to do for 3 seconds.
It's for the simple reason that he has no way to pressure a lane, and is quite easily harassed by a solo laner. He doesn't trade early as well as someone like Darius (who isn't gonna give a single fuck about his pre-six combo and is just going to butcher him in a sustained trade) and his little speed boost is not going to save him from an opponent who can close and chase. At the same time, he has no real way to bully a safe farmer like Nasus or Singed due to his lack of waveclear and mana costs. If he grab-combos a Nasus, Nasus is just gonna ult and W him, shrug, and go back to farming since blitz just wasted all his mana. Blitz is *Okay* in certain solo lane matchups particularly in mid against low harass mages like Veigar, because he's essentially a less snowbally but more safe assassin, but his best non-support role is Jungle. He just gets upstaged by Nautilus, who was really designed for the jungle role, who's got similar ganks but better/safer clears thanks to his on-demand shield.
: EVERY other champion that list has a skill that i define as a skillshot which is a straight line skill that stops at the first target hit {{champion:53}} grab {{champion:76}}spear {{champion:64}} um not sure what its called butthe thing he lands on you so he can dash towrds you {{champion:412}} hook {{champion:25}}dark binding {{champion:32}} thing when he pulls you to him {{champion:103}} charm they ALL have skill that they throw out in a straight line that stop at the first target hit and does not pass enemy through minions THAT is how i define as "skillshot" anything that has an "AOE" and can hit more than one target, with the possible exception of lux's q hitting 2 targets i dont define as a "skillshot" YES landing a GOOD gragas ulti that knocks them in the correct direction takes some skill. but i dont consider it a skillshot if the explosion radius takes up a quarter of the screen. zed's shuriken is not a "skillshot" because it passes through minions. lux's E is not a skillshot. victors "line aoe" isnt even a skillshot, at least not how i define it. call it what you will but hitting someone with a skill that goes through or over minions or does an aoe does not take "SKILL" the champs i listed.. landing one of THOSE SKILLS. THAT takes skill. yes other things like ash's ulti takes skill to land when casting from far away to get the timing right. and gragus ulti takes some minimal "skill" to knock them in a useful direction. but his normal barrel? any drunk idiot can land that, (no pun intended...)
Well I'm sorry that you don't understand what the definition of skillshot is. There are four kinds of skills in league of legends. 1) Targeted skills. These are skills that either instantly affect or home in on a target. Sometimes these involve a projectile, sometimes they do not. Some dashes are targeted skills. 2) Character centered. You do not select a target at all, it's just something that happens within a certain range of your character, or which only happens to your character. Rarely these have projectiles (See Sona Q). A few are global (Soraka and Karthus R). Self buffs are also character centered abilities, like speed boosts or stat boosts. 3) Autoattack Reset, skills tied to autoattacks, fairly self explanatory. 4) skillshot, any ability that does not select a target, so they can be fired blindly into FOW and they can miss. Many skillshots involve a projectile, some (Mordekaiser E, Lux R, Gangplank R) do not. Some dashes are skillshots. Saying something is a skillshot is not a statement of how much skill the ability requires, it's just a descriptor of how the ability works. Gragas' Q, R, and E all target a ground location, and are therefore skillshots, and his W is an autoattack reset.
: Dude seriously, you can tell this is just a whiner thread right off the bat with "muh Rengar skill-shot" Do you WANT a League where Rengar doesn't even have to try to slow-stun you?? Wtf. Rengar is still to this day so powerful that Challenger level players call him "boring", playing in Challenger.
TBH I'm more complaining because never in the history of reworks has this strategy actually fixed anything about the champs, just made it less fun to play as them. What's rengar's core problem? It's pretty freaking obvious: instant manaless jump+Targeted super burstyburst+sustained damage+Stealth = wtf. Turning a skill into a skillshot and then adding a little exclamation mark so you have just enough time to say "rats, well i'm dead and there's nothing I can do about it" before you die and there's nothing you can do about it fixes NOTHING about that toxic-ass kit and its problems. Soraka: Targeted silence and having your lane opponent topped off in lane is boring as all get out. Let's fix her by changing a thing into a skillshot, turning the silence into an AOE, and make her top her laner off HARDER. Zilean: Boring as fuck to play as and against, 'signature' ability is on half the passives in the game and an item anyone can buy, feels nothing like a 'time mage'. Oh look, keeping that ability the same but making it a lame ass skillshot really totally fixed those problems! Thanks Riot!
: But he already had that skillshot, they didn't turn anything into a skillshot.
It was not make or break to his kit and was very difficult to miss. Similar to the Olaf rework, they added unreliability to a lower-impact skill but didn't add any more impact. There's none of the 'fun' of landing, say, a Nautilus hook with a Skarner E. There's none of the fun of rolling in with a Rammus Q to the "ramp up" on his shield+speed boost because fling one skill in his direction and he's totally stopped. There's none of the fun of watching a Braum passive/Vayne W proc go off with the stacking skill because the stun is so minuscule. Skarner suffered from "One Big Moment" syndrome similar to Nunu or Sona, in that only one of his skills felt really impactful and the rest were just annoying/spammy. They reworked him...and changed none of that, except to require him to both spam skills and land them perfectly all the time. He still only has one big moment (his ult).
: im curious as to why gragas is on the list of champs with a skillshot... nothing he has is a skillshot.
Gragas' q and ult are skillshots, as (technically) is the damage/cc portion of his E. The only thing that's not is his W. His Q is a low-impact but very easy to land skillshot, which don't feel like shit to play with because they're mostly about setting up cool plays and maximizing the impact. His R is a stupidly high impact, zero skill skillshot.
: I'm curious about {{champion:43}}. They never turned a skill into the same skill as a skillshot. She traded a short-ranged AoE damage cone for a long ranged AoE damage skillshot with slow - two very different spells (even more so with the mantra versions.)
They gave her a rework with a very low-impact tricky skillshot that's as hard to land as something like a blitz Q but with .000001% the impact. Oh, and if you want to stand any chance at all against someone like Leblanc throwing enormous targeted damage at you? You've gotta land that shit 100% of the time. Zero reward skillshots make a champ feel like shit to play. and they're adding them to practically every single rework.

His third is a Silence, but that's a soft CC in every game I've ever heard of. It lets you move and attempt to run or do whatever else while you're still silenced, as opposed to hard CCs that don't let you choose your next actions, whether by keeping you adhered to one location or forcefully moving you where they want you. > > That said, I don't particularly love playing against Blitz and I don't really hate it either. It could still be much worse. Yeah, a 30 second cooldown "ultimate" that can silence an entire team while doing 500 base damage with another 100% of Blitzcrank's AP, is pretty softcore until it wins a teamfight or two.
Ok dude. Let's take a step back here. It's not the .5 second silence that makes blitz' ult busted, it's the absurd burst he can add on to his crazy grab combo to instagib someone and win the game instantly late game.
: Zilean's stun is stupidly unreliable as is Veigar's What changed about them isn't "counterplay," it's misplay. The only reason their skills are going to be effective isn't because you did well; it's because the enemy made a mistake. Which I guess is fine since no one is perfect but it's unrewarding as hell and it takes one opponent on a good game to turn your life into a living hell.

I thought the kid was gonna be Viktor, and that Ekko had eternal youth thanks to his time-tech thing enabling the lore team to flesh out some of the background of Valoran now that they're trying to just start from scratch. Buuuuut nope.
: First, thanks for all the kind words and thoughtful discussion. This is my opinion: Ekko is a character whose personality really excited us. With the comic and the trailer we wanted to tell stories about Ekko to introduce him to our world, to see what he's made of, to see what drives him, motivates him, breaks him. The story for the comic actually came out early in the champion's development, and did have a few teases to other champs. Rest assured, there was NOTHING substantial in these teases, just words to describe other characters. It was like Ekko offhandedly mentioning "the Machinist". It was an allusion to Viktor. Ultimately, those teases distracted from the story. As any writer worth their salt will say: if it distracts from the story, it's the first thing to get cut. Having other LoL characters fully present in these tales would shift the emphasis away from Ekko to the interactions with other champions.

It all just feels like a cheap out. In the past year, we've had.... let's see, two characters tangentially connected to Lissandra. Braum stole a door, and Gnar was frozen...for some reason, idk, his lore was a Rengar fanfiction I think it was just mentioned briefly in his little mini-bio. Then we had one that had the beginnings of a good story. Azir was really, REALLY close to being on the right track. He forged a connection with a "floating" champ, Sivir-gave her a reason to be, a reason for the players to be interested in her lore. But then y'all went right ahead and made several other champs into floaters without really resolving them. Amumu, Rammus, Skarner-one step forward, three steps back, their lore is completely expunged and all we've got is "this is what this guy is generally like". But we have no reason to CARE. And then a whole bunch of completely new champs were released, again as floaters, zero interaction with anybody. Bard's lore is "Bard is a funky lookin' dude that shows up occasionally to steal really cool shit that probably could've saved whole peaceful villages and leave old guys to die, because he's a giant floating jingle bell jerk." There's nothing Bard does in his lore that couldn't have been accomplished by a trained bird or some kind of magic spell. There's a big reason that Jinx was a whole lot more narratively successful than the recent floater champs, Velkoz, Aatrox, Kalista, Gnar, Bard, etc. It's that, while those guys have distinct characters and personalities and even motivations that we understand, Jinx has all those and also has actual setting impact in relation to the other characters. She has the same sort of "interesting, mysterious past" deal that Ekko has going on, but with Jinx, we have a reason to care about her right now. We can speculate about her origins in the context of characters we already know, and that fleshes out the world and makes all the characters she comes into contact with, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, even the hints at Heimerdinger in the video all the more interesting. Nobody would read comics about the Joker just going around murdering random innocent people (see: Velkoz' lore) even if it was really well written. The way he works and bounces off the rest of the Batman cast is what makes him so iconic as a character.

: New player reform system heads into testing
Homophobia, Racism, and Sexism sound like pretty easy things to auto-detect, there are not exactly many circumstances when a person is innocently firing off racial slurs. But in a game where "kills" and "Deaths" are definitely part of the gameplay, and even the statement "I'm going to kill X" is not necessarily or even frequently abuse in-game, how do you auto detect that?
SEKAI (OCE)
: Because if he doesn't have a skill shot Riot would just instantly think he is toxic by default, while giving those with 0 cd, no resource plus overloaded kit a pass just because they have a few "skill points". Oh well, what can you do against it?

Look, I'm a-ok with Riot just giving him a damn skillshot. EXACTLY the same mechanics, just a skillshot and a higher stun duration. Riot's been copy/pasting the same first-target-hit skillshot onto every single rework champ for almost a year now, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to whip it up. Make him a clone of every other tank support at this point I don't even care, just give him something substantial.

: Riot doesn't actually want smurfs. Going forward, they're trying to deal with the issues that lead people to creating smurfs, not accommodate them.

Going forward, they're trying to deal with the issues that lead people to creating smurfs, not accommodate them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Riot actually provided smurfs to its professional players in certain instances in the past? Riot has tried to implement some systems such as teambuilder's matchmaking adjustment to make it so players need smurfs less, but a thing like smurfing is quite hard to actually combat without IP restrictions on account creation, which is certainly something Riot probably wants to avoid.

Heard a rumored kit: Passive: NO autoattack cast time (can attack while running) Q: next three autoattacks have a ripple cone effect AOE W: passively increases AD the more enemies around him, active AOE slow similar to righteous glory E: Stun if enemy is isolated, slow if there are more enemies around R: Pull ripcord, return to ult location if recast. Sounds more like a Master Yi type champ. Melee ADC rather than assassin.

: I think the better question here is how the time reversal mechanic is going to work in game. Do I who have been the victim of said time reversal get to change anything i just did in response to his changing his attack pattern? is it a total do over? am i stuck in a loop of watching the same WEQ combo happen over again while Ekko tries another option or quickly spamms QSS this time or zhonya's cuz he wasnt fast enough the first time? I am far less concerned about where they guy ends up on the rift as i am about "time reversal"

I am far less concerned about where they guy ends up on the rift as i am about "time reversal" I am 99% positive it will just be a mobility blink mechanic. Ekko presses Q to pull his cord thingy. Now, for however many seconds he can recast Q to return to that spot (or whatever key). It obviously doesn't reset his health, and they don't want to retread the same ground as Zilean (but noooooow we know why Zilean's rework was boring as fuck instead of giving him cool time-related abilities...) so it won't be a revive mechanic, hopefully.... Nah. I can't see a world where Riot isn't uncreative enough that this won't be just mobility.
: He looks stupid af imo. Childish model with no appealing characteristics and an ugly white mohawk to boot. As far as kit design goes, I'm not sure. I can only really speculate based upon the trailer. I will say, however, that the concept of rewinding fights in which you died seems entirely too forgiving. If I killed you because you misplayed, you shouldn't be given the opportunity to go back and make different choices. I don't care if the CD is a million years.

Given that he seemed to take damage, I doubt they're going to do a repeat of an already existing game mechanic (zilean's shtick). It is more likely that Ekko will be able to use an ability to pull his ripcord and zap himself back to that position, keeping the damage he has, when he decides to.

Please... That's pretty much the description of what Yorick is. See any Yorick buffs on PBE? Any Yorick skins? Any Yorick anything? No. Because why? Clearly he's underpowered with a low ass winrate. Because Riot realizes he is cancer on a cancer stick in a cancer sandwich and they have excised him from the random rotation and like to pretend he doesn't exist, which they should.
