: Basically, riot has set a "normal" MMR for each rank....it may move based unknown criteria, but that doesnt really matter. If your MMR is higher than the normal for your rank a win will give you more LP and a loss will take less away. If it is lower, then of course the opoosite will happen. So if you are gaining and losing the same amount of LP for wins and losses, then you rank and MMR are in sync. Think about it this way. If you can win half your games when your MMR is higher than your rank, then you are ready to move up and the system will try to get you there a little faster.

If you can win half your games when your MMR is higher than your rank, then you are ready to move up and the system will try to get you there a little faster. Thank you first. I mean when I have a lose streak the LP I gain decreases so quickly, but when my MMR is lower compared to my rank, even though I win too many games, the LP I gain each game still remains low. Why my MMR drops so easily and I can't get my MMR back to normal as easy as it drops.

: Umm I usually built nashors early because it was more beneficial. Makes w stronger 20%cdr and ult stronger
so nashors is actually good on them, for w and extra ap damage?
: Not building enough AP for it to be better than the alternatives, and besides you'd be spending money on cdr which you don't really need.
YEE its true, I've been playing mid for so long. I tried to play adc and couldn't handle it(like i started at the end of s3 and i tried playing adc it didn't go so well when i was good with mid lane) , recently tried to play adc again (beginning of s7) and it was pretty fun now i main ADC lol. im not sooo good but trying to get better. I just couldn't understand the builds logic like why i am buying these. but i have the image in my head rn, thank you. and for lucian (my main adc pretty much) couldn't find a good build, tried lethalityetc but regular crit build is so broken on lucian rn. however, thank you for taking your time to answer my questions. {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}
: It's more about what is the most effective build for a champ given their kit, and also how smoothly they build into that power (which is arguably the same thing). Insta-burst isn't supposed to be the area of ADCs, but some champs have bits of extra burst (e.g. vayne Q) built into their kit which can make it possible sometimes. Rageblade and similar on-hit things tends to be a smoother power curve, so the users can get ahead in early/mid game and snowball from there. Crit oriented builds tend to take longer to come online (as you need a number of items to start reliably critting while also having AD to multiply), but are probably stronger late game.
Thank you so much for explanations and taking your time, I understand the items better now, but I have one more quick question. If they have ap burst on their skills (varus and kog) wouldn't nashor help? I mean, extra ap, attack speed and it's own passive that you deal ap damage with basics which is extra hit on damage that scales with ap.

: Because then the other ADC just has to brush against her with THEIR {{item:3031}} {{item:3087}}. It's just a numbers game man, Kog and Varus each have built-in attack-speed steroids and consistent on-hit damage that can melt entire teams so long as they have a full squad fondling their family jewels, Vayne on the other hand has a kit designed to hit the enemy with back to back tactical nukes from spammable stealth while also being able to chunk full Armor tanks fast enough for their defenses to mean jack-diddly-shit.
I see... So, if an ADC doesn't have built-in on-hit effects, there is no logic to try to build it with items.
: Kog and varus have built in on-hit effects, and scale with both AP and AD, so rageblade functions well on them. Other conventional ADCs lack one or both of those. Vayne has no AP scaling, so the ap half of rageblade is basically worthless and makes for an awkward build path. The double hit effect for her w is nice and all, but it's only when rageblade is stacked, which isn't always going to be the case, so more reliable always on AS (with added crit or AD to boot) tends to be superior. {{item:3124}} {{item:3085}} {{item:3091}} {{item:3006}} {{item:3153}} is basically sufficient to cap attack speed, and the majority of adcs want a defensive item (or even two) anyway so they can survive longer in order to do more damage, rather than going full glass cannon.
Hmm... So, basicly you are saying some ADCs need to kill instantly but other's need the on-hit effects to deal a good amount of damage. So, if you go usual ADC build for kog or varus it wouldn't be effective as much as the rageblade build.
noukinn (NA)
: Vayne doesn't need to max out on attack-speed though. All she has to do is load up on burst and her BALANCED %Max HP true-damage ensures she can cut through whatever else that tries to build Armor to counter her absurd {{item:3031}} {{item:3087}} damage.
but would't max attack speed also help with rageblade, you can use your w quickly and you can do more true damage to the tanks that dont die

: If your falling off as an adc in this meta you must be doing something wrong, Adc's are pretty strong with a. Few exceptions, if your getting one shot by a lee late game they are full ad or you are running into their fountain, position better so vi and j4 can't reach you with their combo, if you are there's no way a j4 and vi should be able to ONESHOT and get past your whole team. Also if your teammates are dying they are soaking up cool downs you should take advantage of that depending on whoever you play
I mean i don't fall off as damage, i just cant survive anyway. they pick malp akali etc and I just die. like riven q's 3 times e's and flashes and my team watch me die lol
: Well usually for me when im playing against someone brain dead like wukong and it gets to the late game you have two options. You could buy a GA, or you can play the twitch strategy. The twitch strategy is you wait for the fight to start then come in when you see that the threat has used its mobility so then youre basically free to auto attack the threat and it cant do anything
but what if your all teammates die meanwhile you are trying to find the right moment to fight. I guess you can't win always huh lol
