: Teamfight Tactics patch 9.23 notes
Under bug fixes. > Spatula items now correctly no longer double the non-spatula component’s stats > I'm certain that the stat doubling of the item used with spatula was intentionally added towards the end of set 1, when/why did it become a bug?
: There doesn't need to be any changes at all to ARAM to have it be ranked. We're gonna have ranked TFT, a game with much more RNG than ARAM.

We're gonna have ranked TFT, a game with much more RNG than ARAM. Perhaps, but 1) I wasn't aware of ranked tft or how it would work when I wrote this, I was addressing what I perceived to be the issues keeping ranked ARAM from being a thing and 2) I think some form of some or all of the changes I suggested would make ranked ARAM more fun (less frequent frustrating games) and more serious (less of a just for fun "so what if I'm feeding, it's JUST ARAM" mode)
Cupid Stunt (EUNE)
: Would be interesting. But I believe it wouldn't really work just like ranked Dominion (R.I.P) that Riot wanted to make at some point.
Perhaps but Dominion was dying for a while before they ended it, I have to assume that's why they never activated ranked mode. Not only has ARAM been around for about 7 years now but they even still put some effort into improving it. This implies that there are enough people that play it to be worth some investment. There are a fair number of people that ONLY play ARAM. I don't quite see the situation as being the same as Dominion, but that's my opinion.
: I'd like to have Co-op ARAM though. Can we have that, please?
> [{quoted}](name=True Garen,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=kY34kom6,comment-id=0001,timestamp=2019-06-11T17:46:25.149+0000) > > I'd like to have Co-op ARAM though. Can we have that, please? I'm not even sure I understand what you're asking for here, like... bots? I don't really see the point but feel free to make a post and ask for it, I doubt anyone important will see it here.

: What's the point of ranked ARAM anyway?(I say it as someone with over 8k arams) Also, remove 3v3 ranked, it's a joke anyway.

The point is the same as any other "ranked" game play... by that logic what's the point of ranked SR? But in case anyone else is confused, the "point" of ranked is: 1. Higher level of competition, players tend to take ranked more seriously than normal games, if anything this is more important for ARAM since a ton of people go into normal ARAM and just feed "It's just ARAM" - 1 in 10 ARAM players (roughly, some games it seems like 2 in 5 ARAM players) 2. A way to test, compare and show off skill levels.

I swear my shop in game said it was open until the 31st, 2:59 (11:59 pacific) remembered this morning that there were some skins I wanted to grab, bought some rp opened my shop (which was still there), clicked on a skin to buy and it said unable to complete purchase, happens all the time when I leave the game open, so I exit and reopen the game, shop is gone... this makes me sad
: I know that you can get her midair, and I think that's ok (I also think that if she couldn't be stopped midair, it would be ok too), and I'm not complaining about the counterplay. I'm just wondering why is it possible to stop her when she's on the air, where she's supposed to have some inertia, but it's not when she's jumping and still on the floor. More for the why, and not the "how do I counter" xD I like that it's a mechanic with counterplay, and with utilities, but I would like to know why xD
It's just how they chose to implement the mechanic, you're not asking for it to make sense are you? You've got a blob of goo that walks around, Quinn launches Valor off her wrist when she uses Q, but somehow he carries her around by the shoulders when she uses her ult. You've got dragons and void creatures, and you're choosing to get hung up on whether it makes more sense for her to be unstoppable at takeoff or while in flight? There are already champions that have unstoppable mechanics while in motion, this is just a variation, personally I like it, it feels good when you time it right and jump away as blitz hook lands, and feelsbadman when you press it too early or too late.
: Hi! I have a question about Tristana's W: the fact that she's able to jump even wher she's stunned is intended, or just a bug? It's been working like that from a long time, and doesn't look right to me (and to more people xD) that she's able to do that. I mean, it's ok that she can't be stopped when she's flying: she's being launched, so it doesn't matter if she's conscious or not because she's not controling. But when she's about to jump, you can stun her or incapacitate her by some ways, and she still sticks her cannon on the floor and pull the trigger to launch herself, and maybe that should not work like that. Thanks!
It's very much intended that she can jump at the right time and get away even if cc is incoming. The timing window is fairly short, I think 1/4 of a second, but she CAN be stopped in the air, so, for example, if blitz hook or thresh flay were to hit her while she was moving it would stop her, but if they land right at takeoff it wont. There's actually a lot of counter play for either side built into this interaction as long as you understand the mechanics.

: Never receiving honor capsules
You're doing better than me, I haven't even received a single one, I've been level 5 about as long as anyone (within a day of when I started seeing people with level 5 "flair"), I also know of several people who have gotten 4 or more.
: That's good to hear. But just my thoughts on that damage thing, I'm sure you'll understand this: As a Teemo main who's style of play is "poke 24/7 and kite literally everything", I will simply _not get hit_ by traditional top laners unless they use up their abilities for it (often 2 abilities at least), which means this "break by damage" thing won't happen for them very often, or at the very least, it will be a lackluster option due to how much more taxing it will be for them than for me. (Plus they won't be able to use their own emotes 80% of the time because of my constant poke and poison.)
Not sure yet about how it plays out in actual game play but I believe the idea is that if you're in a position to be trying to make it harder for your opponent to cs by spamming emotes (ie standing near the minions they would be trying to cs, if you're kiting away when they come near then you can't be blocking their view at the same time) that you'll also be close enough for them to smack you upside your obnoxious {{champion:17}} head and turn off your emotes for a while.
: Warning: frank discussion incoming. One of the things we haven't talked about a lot with you guys, but which should come as no surprise, is that Riot does make revenue on runes, which we ultimately invest back into League to make the game better. This is indirect revenue, because it comes from players purchasing champions with RP since they don't have available IP to get those champions, since some of that IP goes towards runes. Freeing up rune IP (in the absence of any other changes) would let players buy a bunch of champions and spend less RP overall. Now we *are* making some other changes to the system, but overall, Riot is losing money on this deal. Potentially a lot of money. This was something we had to talk about a lot internally, but everyone was ultimately behind the decision, all the way to Tryndamere and Ryze. I don't want to make too big of a deal out of this, but if we seem cautious with some of our decisions here, this is part of the reason why. (Another big one obviously is that we are taking a gamble by overhauling such a core part of the game for something that we believe will be better.) We are making the new runes free because we believe 1) That it's the right thing to do for League and for League players, and 2) Our business model has always been to make a fun game that players want to keep coming back to year after year. Runes Reforged is a long-term bet on League of Legends (and Riot for that matter). If we thought that Rune Pages made no sense with the new design and risked feeling like a cash grab, we would absolutely just kill them as a feature. But we have found they are useful with Runes Reforged, just less mandatory than they were before. Definitely open to discussion on this topic however.
Let's talk about money. League of Legends is arguably the most successful mmo video game... EVER. One of the biggest keys to that success has been that the game is continuously changing and evolving, dramatically reducing the rate at which the game gets "stale". Riot has put a lot of time, effort, and money into breaking the boredom cycle of most video games. Every thing Riot does costs money, it's called running a business, they have two viable options for revenue, do nothing but maintain the servers and milk it until everyone gets bored and say hey we made an incredibly successful game what do we spend all this money on, or continue to invest in the game and continue to change and grow and hope that it's enough to keep people interested and enjoying the game and willing to spend their time and money on this game. > Now we are making some other changes to the system, but overall, Riot is losing money on this deal. Potentially a lot of money. > So does this new direction COST Riot money? Of course it does, but do they "lose money"? I call bullshit, it's a calculated risk that lowers the bar for entry into the system and potential brings in more new players and expands the potential revenue stream substantially. As a guy who's spent hundreds of dollars on this "free" game, I'm not buying it, so don't cry to us about Riot losing money on this.

: "robbed"? No. Tricked? Yes. If you're fine with that, that's ok, but most people don't like being played. With editable rune page/s, buying additional ones is far from a priority now and people that spent ip/rp (irrelevant which one) will feel it's unfair. Because it is. ######Also bringing up quotes from fairy tales is kind of pointless.

Whether it's The Bible or even actual Grimm's Fairy Tales - there is something to be learned. Trying to deflect the intent of the story by calling it a fairy tale does not change its value. Don't spit on other people's wisdom just because you're unwilling or unable to get it. But aside from the unwarranted faith bashing, I agree, yes Riot can get away with going forward as planned, and no it's not entirely fair. That said, people that have purchased rune pages have gotten what they paid for, there's no guarantee when you buy rune pages that they will retain the same value or functionality tomorrow, never mind next season. It's a virtual world with virtual currency. Still I think there will be such limited value in rune pages going forward that it would be better for Riot and it's relationship with it's player base to just make them free as well, and reimburse for prior purchases the same way they intend to do for runes.

Just as Ryze is and has always been MUCH stronger in higher-level play than low-level, so to is Orianna. She's just not QUITE as extreme. > Are you kidding?!? Ahri's win rate is almost 54% in Plat+ and it's OVER 54% in every rank below plat AND she's strong in pro play as well. > > Since you brought up the Ahri comparison, Ahri get's move speed from her Q, and a triple dash from her R, Ori gets move speed only from her w. Ahri also gets sustain in lane through her passive. If you want to compare Ahri to Ori, you can clearly see why she needs nerfed and Ori doesn't so you're not making a good case for yourself here. First, quote me where I said Ahri doesn't deserve to be nerfed. The best you'll get is that I think her nerfs may be a bit harsh. Ahri's overtuned and she does need a hit, I'm just not convinced that her AP ratios are the right way to do it, and Orianna definitely ALSO needs to be nerfed. Just because one character isn't AS broken as another doens't meant that character doesn't also need nerfs. >Her "easy aoe burst" uses 2 abilities, makes her more vulnerable by moving the ball away from her (reducing her armor and mr) and because it costs her only movement speed ability. She can pull the Ball right back to her after she casts it if she needs to, and though she's giving up her speedup, her W ALSO generates an equally-strong slow. >Her ultimate tickles if she's behind, That a character is weak if behind doesn't mean a character is balanced or even weak in general. >and is fairly easy to avoid if you maintain awareness of where the ball is. Not if she just attaches it to a diver or tank that proceeds to gapclose onto a squishy.
But Ori's win rate in high level play really isn't any higher... she gets played a lot in high level because she's one of the very few options that is safe to pick blind, but her win rate remains so close to exactly 50% - that's basically the definition of balance in a video game when you go up against Ori you're on dead even ground. At MSI she was played 14 times, and you'll never guess what her win rate was... go ahead take a guess... Ok I'll tell you, [7 wins, 7 losses ](http://www.gamesoflegends.com/champion/stats.php?id=67&season=ALL&tournament=Mid-Season%20Invitational%202017)damn she is so OP in professional play I can't believe this has gone on so long. > First, quote me where I said Ahri doesn't deserve to be nerfed. Just because one character isn't AS broken as another doens't meant that character doesn't also need nerfs. I don't have to, you didn't SAY Ahri doesn't deserve to be nerfed, you basically said "Ahri is being nerfed, so Ori should be" but there's no comparison between Ahri and Ori that doesn't show Ahri as stronger in all ways, so yes Ahri should be nerfed when compared to Ori, but that doesn't imply that Ori should be. > She can pull the Ball right back to her after she casts it if she needs to, and though she's giving up her speedup, her W ALSO generates an equally-strong slow. That "equally strong" (a whopping 20% at rank 1, and all the way up to 40% at rank 5, and nobody good maxes w first on Ori) slow only affects people standing where it is when it's used, any champion with a dash can completely negate/avoid it. After she "pulls the ball right back to her" AFTER using her "easy aoe" she has ALL of her abilities on CD. So I'm still not seeing anything remotely OP. So far all I've seen is people who don't understand how to play against her thinks she's OP because... they lose against her a lot I guess? But there aren't enough people having that problem to increase her win rate... You still haven't shown a shred of evidence that she is honestly in need of a nerf, but thanks for playing.

All of her strengths have equally balancing weaknesses, which is why she's as close to perfectly balanced as any champion will ever get.
: I meant balance wise :/ But if we are to discuss icons I'd suggest Irelia if you guys wouldn't mind a bandage fix to her icons before her rework, which doesn't seem like it's going to be this year anyways. Passive: Her emblem. Honestly it'd be cooler if it were something like Irelia standing firm while surrounded by faceless enemies. Q, W, E, R: They're all just her blades in different shapes. There's a lot of cool stuff you could do with these.
You're the second person I've seen bring up balance and Orianna in the past week or so... Her laning phase isn't oppressive unless you simply don't understand the matchup. She has no hard counters, (except maybe mid lucian?) but she doesn't exactly counter anyone either. Her play style is unique, and she's fun to play (for those who enjoy her style). The only time she's scary is if she gets fed and that's true of pretty much any mage or fighter in the game. What is it about Orianna that you feel is unbalanced?

: quite whining that you wont me able to play {{champion:16}} standing in the back line the whole game. learn how to play. the most annoying {{champion:16}} is the one who pokes the crap out of you all game and silences a the best possible times. riot is telling you to buck up and buy {{item:3303}} instead of brainlessly pressing W all day
Dude, I'm an adc main, I don't even play support, I just don't want to lose lane because my squishy AF support can't play safe. Yes the most annoying Soraka to play against is the one that pokes effectively, that doesn't mean every one can do it, and some matchups are more effective for it than others, if you end up having a soraka support into a cc lane with a decent oh I don't know... (blitz, thresh, naut, lux, morg, nami) the second she steps past the minion line she's in danger of losing the lane for you.
: Think about how effective camping a Bard chime is to the enemy team or how often they do it (not even in pro-play when Bard's played). Moreover, it is the same concept as Thresh souls in which you have to risk yourself and play smart around grabbing them for the reward, even giving some up that are too dangerous. Finally, I feel that it is LONG overdue to make Coin champs have to do something in the lane, not making them force their ADC to frontline the lane so that they can get free gold.
Bard's chimes appear randomly, camping one would be stupid, Bard has 20 other chimes to choose from. Your comparison is completely irrelevant, and therefore invalid. If these coins appear where the minion dies, it means supports like soraka and janna would potentially have to walk past the minion line and put themselves in highly dangerous positions on the squishiest champions in the game. Sorry buddy not all support champs are intended to be meat shields. For some reason reading your comment makes me feel like you'd be the first one in chat saying report support for feeding.

Clearly: [F is for...](https://youtu.be/GXzqTZ-bUAs)
: But you wouldn't. You'd just get someone who didn't want to wait so long so they queue and play "support".
Even if you get someone who didn't want to wait and put fill, you're still getting someone who knew going in that they would probably end up playing support, and not somebody who thought they would be top or mid or jungle and has no understanding whatsoever of how a duo lane should be played.
Myrlian (NA)
: I agree, getting stuck with someone who has zero interest in playing support does not make the game better in any way. I'd rather wait another 5-10 minutes to play instead of wasting 20-50 minutes in a bad game that never should have happened. Maybe allow people to choose an autofill timer, so you pick your main roles, but agree that if the queue time is longer than x minutes you'll accept an auto filled position.
And I don't mean if average queues are 20 minutes long - auto fill instantly - I mean if your auto fill timer is set to 15 minutes, and you get into a game in less than that, it should be one of your main roles. also for matchmaking purposes it's probably best to match auto fills, don't put an auto fill support up against a support main, I've seen it happen, and it's ugly.

: I'm too new to have even played it once, but as soon as I learned of its existence I couldn't wait for it to be an RGM. The whole idea of being forced to play an entire team comp that was chosen by the enemy team, against another team comp chosen by you, is just really cool. Once, I got together with a group of friends in blind pick and played a full support team. It was just amazingly fun even though I was the worst conceivable Karma mid. Troll teams are just great, and a game mode dedicated to them... I can't wait.
Well, I *HAVE* played it: Unfortunately in my experience with the mode, roughly 3 or 4 out of 5 times you sit through queue, and most or all of draft before someone dodges. And while the games can potentially be interesting on the rare occasions when you actually make it all the way into one, you'll get an afk or 2 half the time. So, after sitting through that once or twice and taking 30+ minutes of going through one draft after another, you end up deciding it's just not worth it. Hopefully by the second or third rotation in RGM people who aren't willing to play an enemy chosen comp will stop trying to play nemesis draft, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
: omg yes, I SEE NEMESIS DRAFT!!!
Wait, there are actually people that liked Nemesis Dodge mode?
: Wow man, you posted alot. I don't have difficulty with ADC itemisation actually, it's more about the fighters, assassins like I mentioned above in my new reply to SoBE. Still you took all your time, thanks, appreciated.
Oh... well... crap :) I did get a little carried away, fighters and assassins, huh? Those are somewhat more complicated because you actually have a ton of options these days. General: Assassins usually build close to glass cannon, because their goal is to jump on squishy targets and destroy them before they know what hit them, usually if you're taking damage as an assassin before you've killed your target, you're playing it wrong. So 0-1 defensive items, the rest offensive in general, 2 defensive items at most, beyond that you're really more of a fighter than an assassin. Fighters tend to build 1-2 offensive items and the rest defensive, but if they're carrying they can go more offensive, generally always want at least 2 defensive items on a fighter. That said, fighters tend to build offensive/defensive hybrid items, Black Cleaver is great on most ad fighters it gives HP, CDR, damage and pen... everything you could want really. from there it gets more complicated because it really depends very heavily on your role in your team comp, and your enemies team comp. Titanic hydra gives wave clear/aoe and health and damage, very juggernaut, much wow. (makes it very difficult to freeze a lane though) Ravenous Hydra gives aoe/wave clear, damage and life steal. (more offensive than Titanic) Wait, I could spend an hour or more on this, maybe I should do a general itemization guide I can link to... but I'll probably get sidetracked... I could be playing league right now! I'll try to do a full guide soon(tm) though. See you on the Rift! (well, not you, since you're in EU, but ... um... yeah)
: Hello to you guys. Would like to chat with you outside of this specific patch. You guys have been working hard with class updates, new champs and reworks. There is alot of new stuff in the game. I personally feel like I haven't been able to keep up with everything ( specifically I have a hard time with the ad items and to understand which one benefits you also depending on the champion ofc ). I am assuming other players especially low elo ones have that problem too. So I noticed some people have been asking about a good tutorial from Riot. I was wondering that too lately, have you guys thought about taking a short break from all this huge content and focusing on a good tutorial for all players sometime in the future, tutorials on objective control and items etc, I would guess that would help the entire player base, all the different elos, in general alot. Cheers to you guys.
I believe that although it's a good idea, Riot is unlikely to be willing/able to do something like this very soon. Riot isn't going to stop changing the game, one of the reasons it stays popular and fun for most of us is that it's almost a new game every two weeks, and once or twice a year it changes substantially. In order to make guides or tutorials they would have to assign a fairly large team to maintaining them with every update. They are barely keeping up with updating the recommended item pages for each champion when something changes substantially. There are guides out there that are helpful, and as SoBE mentioned the good ones aren't always easy to find but you can always try more than one until you find something that works for you. There are also a lot of video's out there to help with basics. In regard to the "new" AD items, I can give a quick rundown: items that build off of Zeal: (All Zeal items increase attack speed, crit, and movement speed, the exact amounts vary by item) **RFC (Rapid Firecannon)**: This zeal item builds up a charge, when fully charged it increases your max attack range for a single attack, this attack also does bonus damage. RFC in my opinion is somewhat over rated. But there are times when that extra range can be exactly what you need. **Statikk Shiv**: This zeal item builds up a charge like RFC, but it doesn't affect your attack range. When Statikk Shiv reaches full charge it releases a burst of AOE damage. This AOE damage can crit, and does extra damage to minions. Shiv is the best zeal item for AD champs that need extra wave clear. **Runaan's Hurricane**: (ranged only!) Causes your auto attacks to also hit two additional targets for 25% of your base damage, effectively increasing your auto attack damage by 50%. This Zeal item is intended to provide maximum aoe damage during team fights, it is most effective on champions that have an "on hit" effect like Kog'maw with w active, Ashe with Ranger's focus active, kindred with... stacks, Jinx with rockets active, it will apply poison from Twitch and Teemo. **PD (Phantom Dancer)**: This is the "dueling" Zeal item, it provides the most benefit in 1v1 scenarios, it provides the least movement speed of all the zeal items except when close (550 range) to an enemy at which point it provides the most movement speed of all the zeal items, it also makes you take 15% less damage from the last person you auto attacked. Blood thirster still provides the most life steal. Infinity edge still provides increased crit damage. Death's Dance provides 15% health back on physical damage, and converts 15% of incoming damage into damage over time. It's an interesting item but I only use it in certain cases. Essence Reaver is the main item to build for CDR and mana regen for AD champions, it gives crit, and requires building more crit to reach full potential, so it's mostly good on champions that are going to build IE (if you're going to build crit, might as well make the most of it) and at least one Zeal item. Blade of the Ruined King hasn't really changed much, it still helps against champions who stack a lot of health. The newest AD item is Duskblade of Draktharr, it's intended for assassins, but it provides a good amount of AD and flat armor pen, I will often build it instead of a last whisper item against a team with no real tanks. Youmuu's Ghost blade also provides damage and flat armor pen, with 10% cdr and a nice attack speed and movement speed active with a fairly short cool down. Black Cleaver is a good mix of offense and defense with stacking armor pen and 20% cdr, it's good if you want cdr on an AD champ but don't need crit. Or if you want a more defensive armor pen item. I didn't think about just how much there is to cover. There's also Maw of Malmortius, Mortal Reminder and Lord Dominik's Regards Maw provides some defense against being burst down by AP champions, plus AD and flat armor pen. Lord Dominik's Regards (LDR) is the go to item to allow you to do damage to tanks. Mortal Reminder builds off of Last Whisper and Executioner's Calling and is the item you want to counter insane life steal and healing (ie vlad/swain/soraka/aatrox) I haven't even covered Trinity Force, Iceborn Gauntlet, sterak's gage, Frozen mallet, Ravenous Hydra, Titanic Hydra... but I've spent way too much time on this already, good luck, have fun!
: Halloween?
No, Harrowing, we don't have Halloween on Runeterra. But if you're actually a newer player, or just oblivious, yes it normally happens close to Halloween.

: ok well my 5s team has players in plat gold and silver and we do tournaments so how are we supposed to practice in the dynamic queue system when we cant queue together? it makes no sense plus there are many people who perform better in solo queue vs in a 5s team and vice verca so riot is basically punishing the players who don't do well in solo queue but do well in 5s by ridding the game of ranked 5s.

Unfortunately I don't know what they have planned for ranked 5s in dynamic queue. I agree that currently it's not great for a lot of people, I've heard there are even lcs teams having issues playing together because of it. They've said they're working on it, hopefully they will address these sorts of issues in some way, best of luck to you and your friends in any case.
: players compairing this to buying a completely new car or the new star wars game and being salty obnoxious bratz.. news flash.. lol is free to play.. they released a new feature on a free to play and to compete game that didnt work.. ok so what its free. you can still play the game.. stop being so spolied complaining about the free serving of french fries you got lacked salt

: but why would they work ranked 5s into dynamic queue? it doesn't solve any of the already non existant problems in 5v5

: Agreed, Also even Dynamic Q lacks some of Teambuilders best aspects. MMR deflation when trying new champions is one of the best features of teambuilder. It really made me feel like i could actually learn a new champion without punishing others

Recently, and after a lot more experience playing adc I had played most of the other ADCs and it seemed like a good time to try Lucian again, I played in Team Builder, mostly solo queueing, and lost every match no matter how well I played (and some games I did REALLY well) because my team got completely wrecked and I couldn't 1v5 a team with 3 fed players, it felt as though the mmr reduction lowered my teammates mmr but didn't affect my opponents, this probably isn't the case but it definitely felt bad. I do think the whole idea is good, and agree that it would be nice to have something like it in the new system but I think the implementation of it in Team Builder still needed some work.
: Any word on: 1. Team Builder and selecting the champ you actually want to play, every time? 2. The upsurge of troll picks, due to no Team Builder? 3. Constantly getting your secondary role? 4. Ranked 5v5 teams? 5. Getting placed significantly lower than your previous ELO, regardless of winning the vast majority of placement games? 6. Whether or not you actually read the forums to see what people are upset about, rather than just removing the post or banning them? ..I..

Whether or not you actually read the forums to see what people are upset about, rather than just removing the post or banning them? > > ..I.. The current plan, as I understand it is as follows: 1. Getting the exact champ you want to play every time will be available once new champion select comes to blind pick, which will be very similar to team builder but using the new champion select, so you can (hopefully) actually adjust your champion for your group, I can't tell you the number of times I've queued as ADC in team builder, landed in a perfect yasuo team comp team and wished I could just switch to Kalista to help out more. 2. While new champion select was working I queued as ADC/Jungle for... maybe 10+ games? I got ADC roughly 9 out of 10 times. Imo if you really wanted a specific position (other than mid) just choose mid as your secondary role you should get your primary almost every time. That said, they have specified somewhere (I don't have the link handy) that they are working on improving the internal logic so you are more likely to get your primary role than is currently the case. 3. Ranked 5v5s are planned to be worked into the dynamic queue system somehow. 4. For the most part they do, but sometimes they decide to see something through no matter what, so far it's mostly worked out.

Another way to look at it is: It was working in NA for a week before you EU guys broke it, you're the reason we can't have nice things. :p All kidding aside I don't see how it would have made a difference, to be honest Riot should have been able to review the data from NA & Turkey then calculate the impact of whatever difference there is in peak usage and extrapolate the results to realize it wouldn't have worked and held off on starting season 6 officially.

All of the engineers are heads down working on the issue. It would be nice to get some sort of periodic update, even if it's just "5pm pst, nothing new to report" but especially would be nice to hear when a fix is tried outside the region, even if it fails 20 times at least we know something is happening. I've been waiting for a better champion select since I started playing, team builder was ok, for blind pick anyway, NCS was so great for the short time we could use it, many of use would really like to have team builder back while we're waiting for new champion select to be restored, I've barely played at all in the past few days and I'm starting to get the shakes.

: yall just dont get it lol its not just about being objectified or sexualized, its whether or not it fits the character, and whether or not the character looks unique beyond just having different hair and clothes. its about them not JUST being sexy for characters like ahri and evelynn, it makes sense! theyre meant to be sultry temptresses. but they also have personality beyond just that. they can look sexy without necessarily wearing skimpy clothing or looking dull and boring or having the same body types for a character like caitlyn, it makes no sense whatsoever. shes a tough sheriff, an enforcer of law toting a big gun around, yet she wears a short dress. does that make sense to you??? caitlyns a great character n all, but design wise she just doesnt work riots definitely improved in designing female characters. kalista and jinx and quinn and vi have somewhat more unique body and face types, thats for sure. but most of them are still very skinny and generic. vi definitely looks tougher, but she doesnt look like the kind of girl who could carry around those big gloves all the time. itd be better if she had a noticeably bigger body. it would make SENSE illaoi is such a major leap!! shes amazing!!! i hope riot will continue to make their characters even more unique and diverse. but their older champions leave much to be desired. heck, i was ecstatic to see new fiora, bc her design was much fiercer and bolder, befitting of a confident swordswomen, way better than old fiora i got kinda carried away here but basically, a woman can absolutely have a big butt and big breasts. what matters is how you present her. and women have different kinds of body types, too. hopefully y'all will learn that this kinda shit is important for ppl who wants representation

I'm not saying that it's bad that they've started expanding their female body types, it's great. But lately every time a new female champion comes out there's always people saying things like "finally a non-(sexualized/objectified/whatever) female champion" like it's something new, it happened with Kindred, Rek'Sai, and Kalista, I'm not sure about Jinx but I'd be surprised if it didn't come up there as well. As far as things "making sense" goes, once again it's a fantasy game, many of the characters are hauling around weapons that are bigger than they are, it's not supposed to make sense in the real world. Poppy carries a hammer that Thor would have trouble lifting. Tristana should be blown clean off the map trying to fire that cannon. Braum lives in the freaking Freljord and doesn't even wear a shirt. Etc... But a female sniper can't be tough AND sexy? Once again, in conclusion, Riot is making more diverse female champions, and that's great, but it's hardly the first time.
: You mean she is **one of** the few non-objectified women in League of Legends? Other than {{champion:421}} and {{champion:203}}
I get so sick of this argument. What do you consider "objectified"? Is it just females with big breasts or a big butt or is it any hint of sexuality what-so-ever? Since you only mentioned {{champion:421}} and {{champion:203}} I'm guessing you consider {{champion:429}} objectified? {{champion:34}} Is pretty damn hot too I guess. If you consider: {{champion:1}}, {{champion:18}}, {{champion:117}}, and {{champion:78}} to be objectified you probably should seek therapy. {{champion:222}} was released 14 champion releases ago and was certainly not intended to be "objectified" by any standard I'm aware of. The two female champions who came before that were {{champion:127}} and {{champion:133}} I love Quinn, or I did before they killed valor, but I hardly consider her a pin-up. Now I'm up to champions released in 2012, and we're up to {{champion:254}}, by some standards I guess people might consider her "objectified"? maybe? Now on the other hand, in the same time we've also had Braum, Yasuo and Lucian come out in that time, I've not seen many League of Legends players that can match up to those guys but nobody complains about that... So I guess you'll have to be a little more specific on what objectified means to you.
: From Iniquitee's comment on the subreddit thread on this: > There are a few that we're concerned about, but the major one - sometimes a player could lose wolf, and if that happened, you would not get him back until you died. This means you cannot use W or proc your E. Pretty bad stuff. As for why we don't hotfix - checking in and verifying a fix takes several days. By that time we would be very close to 5.20. I know a few days means a lot and may seem worth it, but there are a ton of huge costs involved in doing a patch, including kicking players out and forcing them to patch, sometimes in the middle of a game (if they disconnect for any reason, for example), and many other costs that may be invisible to you. Trust me it's not easy - I really want to watch some streams of Kindred!

The reason I hadn't really touched-it-up was that it's quite an old work where fixing all the little things may affect the cohesion of the work- my painting method was different back then. : You guys are missing point i know they use their own special mouses and stuff, what im saying is Riot can buy them their logitech mouse and store it instead of making them send it and all that
Riot can't be expected to keep track of every player's mouse and keyboard preference, in most cases the players use equipment provided by their sponsors, if they change sponsors they change equipment, which means if Riot was buying and supplying the equipment for the players they would have to notify Riot whenever a change was made and hope Riot managed to get the change and new equipment in time for the match, the way Riot is doing it, they can use whatever equipment they want (as long as it doesn't somehow provide an unfair advantage) and they turn in the equipment to Riot (which they virtually never have to pay for themselves anyway) before the event. It's just the best way to handle it and still allow everyone to use whatever gear they prefer to play with.

: It's not a donut, it's a porosnack dude learn the lore pls trolol
While I haven't seen a ton of official examples of what poro snacks look like, all the ones I HAVE seen depict them looking sort of like a cinnamon roll, whatever they actually look like, they don't have holes in the middle, and they aren't donuts, unlike the pastries in the picture. (OK, ONE of the donuts looks kinda like a poro snack, but it's most likely a coincidence since all the rest are clearly donuts, and in any case the donut in Vi's mouth is not the one that vaguely resembles a poro snack.) {{item:2052}} good try though :)

I don't suppose there's any way to get an edited version of the Piltover girls without the donut over Vi's mouth? Probably not and I don't mean to be rude by asking it's just that I absolutely love that image but for me the donut just kills it. The box of donuts is fine, a bit cliché but whatever (cliché's go with league almost as much as puns do), the donut in/over her mouth just looks completely out of place, like it was an afterthought and not a good one. Like someone took a great piece of art and was like, hey let's photo shop one of these donuts so it looks like it's in her mouth. Otherwise it's amazing. :)
: Hey folks (and Rakoon Jesus in particular)! I wanted to jump in here and drop a quick note now that we're headed full steam into the new champ hype train (yes, these mask assets on the PBE are teasing a new champ, confirmed!). Dha and Ma is a super cool concept, with a lot of compelling elements. The yin & yang, dark & light dual nature has a lot of very novel thematic and visual flair that hasn't been explored in League yet. I wanted to quickly dispel the notion that this was a direct inspiration, however - in fact, the first concept for our next champion was created January 26 of this year. Champion ideation draws inspiration from many places, and often incorporates common and uncommon themes, concepts, and archetypes. There are thousands of champion concepts out there and it's common that we can find one or many that mirror some of the themes that end up making it into a released champion. Innovating in the space via art, gameplay and theme can be a real challenge, and it's common to be able to point to another character from other games, comics, movies or other media and be able to say that there are similarities. In the end, though, we strive very hard to create something truly unique to our game and universe, and I hope that of all the things you can call new League champions, "derivative" is not one of them. We love that players are passionate and engaged enough with League to come up with super cool concepts like these, so don't stop! I look forward to getting all the juicy details into your hands so you guys can learn all about how we came up with and delivered the champion concept and who it turned out to be (I think you're gonna dig it). In the mean time.. they are coming...
So the vibe I'm getting here is: regarding new and existing champs/skins any similarities to champion/skin concepts by the community and/or any champions/heroes/characters/gods/avatars/etc. from other games is purely coincidental if not completely in the (possibly delusional) mind of the perceiver so please don't sue us for compensation for using your ideas, because we didn't, even if it looks like maybe we did... not even a little bit, we swear. But hey look shiny new (did we mention completely unrelated?) champion(s) is/are coming, let's get excited about that. The funny thing is that I'm pretty sure nearly all of us would be willing to sign releases or whatever, as most are creating these out of love of the game, and being able to say "hey, I helped design (or influenced the design of) this skin/champion" would be more than enough compensation for 99% of the community. But whatever the reasons and whatever the influences, I'm still looking forward to the next champ, as always. :)

: Yeah. I had this idea last week. I was in voice chat with some friends, and we went against an arcade Riven. In voice I said "she has one of the best recall ani.... oh... nevermind." That's what inspired me to chase a couple things down, ask the right people, and with a little help (cause I have almost no experience with actually changing spell stuff) I got something working Friday. It's on PBE now. I just checked in a fix 30 min ago to remove the icon for the "recall buff" because you're not actually doing anything. In any case, press B, see animation (if you have one). It will not have the blue beam, or a cast bar, or a channel bar, and it will still be interrupted by damage like other recall, but it will play the animations just fine. Enjoy! -Griftrix
I've had this "moment" twice recently, and other times in the past but never thought it would be worth asking for. (figured it would be too much work without enough interest, guess I was wrong on both counts :D ) Just the other day I got Annie in ARAM and was talking to someone about choosing Frostfire or Panda and I it went something like: "My favorite thing about Panda Annie is her recall... er... Frostfire it is then" and also with Winterwonder Orianna. Anyway thanks!
