Wait, so their _fix_ to "too much item RNG" is "now some players will get 1 and some will get 5? I agree that that is better than the present situation, but only barely. It's depressing that they consider that to be "problem solved".

Don't forget they also gave Kai'Sa a super-boring voice. It's like they told the actress 'try it again, but remove any hint that you care.'
: if you are winning a game and type "EZ" in chat
Honestly even worse is the people who say it **after** the game. One can at least claim justification that doing it during a game is trying to tilt the enemy team and thus give yourself an advantage (though I don't agree with playing that way). Doing it after a game is just being a jerk for no reason.
: Is Nasus in a bad matchup?
Maxing E just isn't a good move for Nasus (outside of ARAM). The real hassle of playing against him is that even if you _do_ shut him down, you have to spend the entire game babysitting him or he's going to powerfarm/splitpush to a million stacks.

Realistically, it will never be a good system, it is just a minor feature in the background that doesn’t really deserve more resources and attention than it has already gotten. I'd agree if it weren't the main engine of the reward system for playing. Blue essence is meaningless past a certain point, but Hextech chests actually have some value. It's also the only way to advance in the mastery system, though I confess that's pretty unimportant.

: I Want You to Give an Honest Evaluation
My ideal world would be one in which my opponents had fun but lost. Their fun certainly isn't my _main_ priority - but I also will absolutely avoid things like trying to make them extra salty: nasty emotes, taunting in chat, or anything else that's not playing the game itself and is designed to make them unhappy.

It's just a problematic effect, since the item is designed to be useful on a certain category of champions, and then ALSO has a huge boost added on for 3-hit champions only.
: I miss the days where you could see several Riot employees on the Gameplay boards on the red tracker
Honestly, I've generally been (pleasantly) surprised by how most of the community does react when a Rioter makes a thoughtful response on a gameplay thread. Usually you see **multiple** people saying "thanks for posting" even when they disagree. It can certainly happen that the post gets a negative total vote count if it's arguing something like "Vayne's ultimate needs buffs", but even that's rare.
: Request for client chat to not disappear when someone unfriends you.
I'm honestly surprised by the enthusiasm people here have for DMs being an "everything goes" wasteland. Yes, you can unfriend someone at any time if they start spewing racist bile or whatever. You can also mute someone in-game at any time, and that's never been an accepted argument for making chat unpunishable.
: Old league lore was bad, like really bad.
The old lore suffered from the problem that it tried to explain what the champions were actually doing in the game. This is a hard sell.... but the new lore just completely ignores it, which is not entirely better. I understand that the writers are enjoying coming up with stories about these characters, but there is nothing even resembling an explanation for what they're doing here or why they're fighting each other. The new stories and characters ARE (usually) better. But they have nothing to do with the game, which is kind of awkward. Personally, I also dislike them filling the game with gods, dragons who can juggle planets, and the like. How exactly is Sara Fortune killing them with two pistols?

With 85 skin shards, you'll probably get _something_ you want from shards, and the rest you can reroll/disenchant, which will probably be good for around 30-50 skins total, in addition to the prestige skin. All that would cost 17550 RP, or 1 $100, and 1 $20 bundle, which would leave you with 250 rp left over. They've also said multiple times there will be _some_ way to get prestige points for free. In what universe could you turn 85 skin shards into 40 actual skins? That would only work if disenchanting a skin gave you enough orange essence flat out to buy a second skin, which is.... not close to the actual values.

While I'm often surprised to see such a disparity of mastery points, I've often found that the players who have 900k+ and are _still_ around low Gold are often worse than those who have 50k. At least at lower ranks, there's a point of diminishing returns.

: Don't understand how this performance grade works
Grade has very little to do with K/D/A. It is almost entirely about CS, regardless of role. If you want a good grade more than you want a winning match, focus on farm and treat everything else as a side goal.

: Rank S and Champion Mastery Point System is just ridiculously hard and stupid.
Creep score. Although I don't agree with it, CS is 90% of where your mastery grade comes from, regardless of role. Objectives, kills, vision all help a bit, but CS is always by far the most important thing for letter grade.

Something to think about :D While I kind of appreciate hearing a response, I can't believe this is heavily upvoted. It doesn't say: we looked at this and decided it was too hard. It does say: sometimes things are hard. Like, look at this other thing we did instead! It was completely optional and just implementing one guy's off-the-cuff idea, but rather than saying "maybe let's change the idea" we put in the effort anyway. I think something that was (a) promised and (b) affects half of all players forever is a _little_ more important than the latest champ's cool concept.

: Feelings on Role Ranked?
I can see why the idea _appeared_ to make sense: if a player is only good at one role, both they and their team used to be punished by the matchmaking thinking they would be better than they were. However, in this case the cure is worse than the disease. First, it means that autofilled players no longer care about winning at all. Second, it punishes those who actually _do_ play multiple roles. And third, even for those one-trick characters who benefit from the changes, it takes a huge amount of games to actually get to the point where the new system would work for them.
DARPA (NA)
: meddler. please for the love of god get rid of rageblade vayne
The issue isn't Vayne in this case: it's the item that turns all 3-hit champions into 2-hit champions. Vayne's true damage is a lot, especially combined with her other tricks, but if it was still every 3 hits it would be a lot more manageable.

Though I will say that vision score should be higher - remember warding helps your team and not just your own performance.
DadSion (EUW)
: Why does CS mean so much towards your performance grade?
I've argued with that design several times myself. CS is obviously **by far** the most important part of your grade, and I really think that's backward: CS is valuable _because it gives you gold to achieve the things that actually matter_. But if you achieve those things anyway, CSing should only matter a little. As it is, when going for chests/mastery you're much better off farming all game long and only putting your side focus on team fights/objectives, rather than focusing on team fights/objectives with your side focus on farming.

It's really just a matter of time (i.e. games played) without getting more valid reports. I gather it does take a while. But you should still get "checkpoints" even for the sub-2 honor levels, when you've gotten 1/3 of the way to the next level?
: Position Stealing in Ranked
It's always puzzled me that stealing positions isn't a reportable category. I honestly don't know how the entire role assignment system is supposed to work when Riot has no system for enforcement.
: S- btw
CS is much more important than anything else for your Riot grade. If you're going for mastery, contributing to the win is FAR less important than maximizing your farm (though ideally you do both).
: hextech chest not stacking on loot page
This always happens when you get a bonus chest inside your chest - it starts its own stack. Technically a bug, but a pretty minor one.

You mentioned using his troll poll to tower dive/get out, but here's the kicker again, let's get the important part It does not reset the tower damage ramp up Damage ramp does not reset for most divers with the exception of as her ice tomb Once more, the ability does not prevent damage. If a tower shot is fired its going to damage her. That simple. If you drop aggro prior to the shot then your fine but its not able to stop a shot in action. If the Tower shoots at her she gets damage. You got to break aggro before it fires. 4-0 Next up _Fizz can reset the Warming up passive_ on a tower with his E. All it takes is to just time it to dodge a shot, and don't instantly recast it. A brief pause with no valid champions in range completely resets warming up. Fizz can do it with E. Hell Zed can do it pretty easily with his R. [Which I kindly showcase here for you](https://youtu.be/q5nbx7x50aM) 5-0. Called me a Akali player. Clearly not even close to a main of mine. Had all of 21 matches of her in ranked between last year and this preseason. 38% win rate on her. You obviously don't get it. Also how much I play her has nothing to do with correcting a lie. Even if she was my main id still be correct and a lot of the things you and op said are still provably wrong. 6-0. We can keep going if you want. > You talk about misinformation, yet I'm sorry you're absolutely doing that right now by pushing false outrage because people have rightfully called her true stealth unfun and often times unfair. No outrage. All im doing is calling people out for being wrong. It can be a annoying mechanic. I don't approve of folks exaggerating or lying about how it functions. Be accurate to the game. Complain off whats actual IN GAME. that simple. don't exaggerate grossly, don't look only at best cases, if its problematic its reliably problematic. Address that. Use reality for your argument. I don't care or mind some one saying they find obscure irritating or frustrating, that's valid. I do care if you lie about things.

This is technically correct, but false in any meaningful sense: no other champ can drop aggro several times during one dive (outside of URF). So yes, it's not special tower code that lets Akali drop aggro again and again, but it is something only Akali can do.

: Please give champions the same HP as wards
Riot response: We have heard your concerns: wards are too hard to remove, and there is too much vision in the game. Effective immediately, wards are always visible, and one auto-attack from any champion will remove them.
: Trying to get Mastery 7-Tokens feels like a kick to the family-jewels
CS is by far the most important part of score. I've always thought that backward, because while CS is important, it's important only _because it gives you the gold that you need to do the important things_. If you secure objectives, get lots of takedowns, and have amazing vision score, the amount of gold that you earned while doing it should be the _least_ important thing.
: Udyr and Adaptive Force - One of The Problem of Jungle Phoenix Udyr

Less experienced players might react by just stumbling around blindly, but pros wait until they have vision available so they don't get killed and start the snowball. You would think Riot would notice this pattern eventually.

It's true that Herald is an almost-guaranteed turret. However, in 2018 killing a single enemy champ is a guaranteed 1-2 turrets, so usually people figure it's more effective to just farm/gank.

Broadly speaking, advice that has the best chance of working is: 1) said to the whole team rather than one player, AND 2) focuses on what to do rather than what not to do For example "focus Vayne first", "remember to stay spread out in case of Malph ult", "we need to stick together as five now" MAY work depending on the circumstances and the players.
