Pantheon's E has always been his big nuke and a major high point of playing Pantheon when you get the whole thing off. Making it into a mediocre damage defensive move was a bad choice in my opinion.

: I played on PBE and Eternals in death recap are the most stupid thing I've ever seen
Seems like they are trying to give encouragement to keep people playing the game by telling them how much they've done whenever they die. Too bad they locked it behind a paywall so it won't have the scale to have an impact, though with how in the way that is, I'm not sure how bad that is. Eternals feel like they were designed by one team, then grabbed by the monetization team who felt they could use it to make more money, missing the original point of them.
: Yuumi and Aatrox had one thing - A core identity that could fulfill a role. Aatrox is a sustain bruiser Yuumi is an enchanter Pantheon is... What? An Assassin? With that poor ability to close the gap and no escape? Nope. He doesn't even have ttk low enough. Bruiser? His scalings are all bonus AD, while most bruisers abuse items that really boost your damage through base AD? Where is his sustain. 90% of bruisers have sustain On hit? He has one on hit that is poor and no attack speed steroids Tank? No teamfight engage, AD caster like hero? Other valuable AD casters are either late game scaling beasts (GP, Graves) or poke machines (Poke Varus Jayce) AD Duelist? With those cooldowns on his caster focus? Nah. Splitpusher? Evelynn can be a better splitpusher Late game he is just a below Alistar tier peel bot or cuts off people with his ult hoping he stays alive for long enough to he saved? He lacks something to do. He is not a role. Even old pantheon had something going for him - his ridiculous burst and significantly lower ttk. He ahs no identity right now, but he could be a bruiser type if he is given some changes
Pantheon was originally setup as an AD melee burst caster. I'm a bit shocked they moved him so far away from this simple design concept.
: His problem is that his scaling suggests him to build full Ad, while he is unreliable assassin that has a hard time enagging on ADC's which makes him kiteable, and his optimal bruiser build for late game playstyle does not synergize well with his ONLY BONUS AD SCALINGS. My suggestion is rebalancing his BONUS AD scalings to total AD scalings, and giving him either some minor sustain, or %hp damage, or tankyness stat scaling
The fact he such a drop in damage for HSS is a big head scratcher. HSS has been Pantheon's bread and butter damage move since his inception, having damage and cooldown being more similar to an ult than a normal ability. The fact its damage has been so heavily crippled makes me wonder if they remembered one of the reasons people loved playing Pantheon. Classic Pantheon was at 100-300 (+300% bonus AD) to rework 55-255 (+150% bonus AD). Even with the Mortal Will bonus, you are only looking at (+250% Bonus AD). Q has been dropped from (+140% Bonus AD) to (+100 Bonus AD), but with Mortal Will gets boosted to (+200 Bonus AD). For some reason, they think that Pantheon's damage should be on his longest range move, instead of his near melee range move and historical burst nuke.
GilxeN (EUW)
: So you want to nuke some one in one Q? I knew it all those delusional Pantheon abusers gonna cry in the forums, god I love to see their salty tears falling.
You forgot your sarcasm tag, unless you missed the point that much. Nope, we don't want the Q to be a nuke, the E, the Heartseeker Strike, is meant to be the nuke. The Q is just supposed to be consistent damage, not the core damage of his kit.
: The real way old Aatrox or Pantheon players feel. What! I cant just auto attack things to death, and I dont get a free revive anymore..Thanks riot my champs unplayable! Pantheon:What!? I cant just spam Q anymore I actually have to use a SS now! Fuck Riot Unplayable!
Here, I'll fix Pantheon for you. {{champion:80}} : "What!? My Heartseeker Strike isn't a damage nuke anymore like it has been since Pantheon has been released and is only for defense!? Why is my main damage move only my Q now!? Get rid of this stupid directional invincibility and give me back some power on what was originally a mini-ult on Pantheon!" The rework forces **much more** spamming Q to play new Panth as all his damage has been funneled into it and out of the rest of his kit.

The same telegraphing, new Panth just gets stuck in his animation longer due to the slide.
: I think the Q changes would have been enough, the passive changes made his survivabillity very situational and tied to a massive CD, and the E changes did cost him insane damage, while the ult is just overall weaker with less damage and no slow whilegaining basically nothing. All he can do now is bully some melees with his still potent Q poke and keep W and E as defensive options vs all-ins, or get some shenanigans with braum or seju going cause of the empowered W Also, BC+Titanic is supprisingly strong cause of that W(and titanic is active is still busted) But overall, rather disapointing, yet potentially broken with better numbers cause his E can really be a massive defensive tool and a point n click hard CC is always a big deal, so not really much hope for proper buffs. What i miss most is the old heartseeker, it was the bread and butter of any good pant while also haveing counterplay and allowing skill expression.
Ya, ever since Panth was released, HSS was his go to ability, being a demi-ult back when he first came out. It was toned down, but was still a core part of his damage combo. Seeing it in such a pathetic state is simply disappointing.

The ult is next level shit, i mean worse then the old one. Like the only reason i still play this shit was because of panth, but they even managed to fuck that up. So its time i think i parted way. Sad really. The ult is all around better. The channel time is lower, making ganks more reliable, enemies get less of an indicator to dodge, meaning more likely to hit. So its more likely to hit and even if you miss more likely to get a successful gank.
The new ult has more AoE due to the slide. It is worse in every other regard.

: In Defense of The Treeline - A Poorly Substantiated Corporate Decision
4 years of manipulating players and trying to kill Twisted Treeline, it really is a sad state of affairs with how Riot has been lying through their teeth and playing to get people to play like how Riot wants, instead of how the players want. This is probably the reason League has been in such as terrible state, the developer have been trying to manipulate the players and how they play the game, instead of letting the game evolve naturally and adjusting for things that go haywire. I remember back in the day when lanes were rarely just top, mid, jungle, and duo bot. You had to be prepared for everything, from duos in mid and top, duo jungles, tipples, and even bum rushes in any of the lanes. When "mandatory ADC bot" stated to pop-up, I remember hard duo melee bot specifically to cripple the ADC and take the tower. Many people were still trying to find their feet, but there was also a mix-up game to trip the opponent and try to force them on the back foot (Jungle Singed anyone?). Everything is standardized now. You know what you are doing, you know what your opponent is doing, even with so many more champions, it just feels like it has been becoming more and more bland.

: Riot is being mismanaged.
It is very odd to remove a venerable and long time game mode, but this has happened several times for other companies. Generally, it comes down to one of two things, a lack of resources to maintain, or a lack of people in a primary gamemode and they need to be forced to the main one. This is all to say that either Riot needs to tighten their belt due to a drop in revenue, or they believe that removing TT will force TT players into SR to improve queue times. Either way, this is a very bad sign.

I would like to see a VO, but I still miss the gameplay of the original Mazlahar, especially with the original Voidlings and managing them.
: I really miss League of Legends
I really wish I could say I was excited for the upcoming season, but League has been slowly and constantly drifting away from the style and feel that made it great to begin with. I really wish I could get back into League, to be able to play those clutch games, where engagements felt two fighters both trading blows and maneuvering for an advantage. There is no back and forth, just a freight train vs a freight train just seeing who keeps going after that smash into each other. Not only is the game length shorter, but every engagement is much shorter. Some champions can have great burst if they are setup right, but need a consequence to that burst, some flat sides that they need to play around. Not every champions should feel like you just walked into a bush with a classic AP Shaco and his 5 jack in the boxes. League is currently in a race to the bottom and someone at Riot needs to grab the reigns and pull League back into a health place.

: New Champion Concept: The Rioter
: From the **Universal Rules:** >There are cases where the term "hate speech" may not be fully appropriate, but the language is still discriminatory and offensive when used negatively in regards to an individual or concept. This includes, but is not limited to, examples such as those provided below: > >* "gay" >* "retard" or "retarded" >* "jew" >* "autistic" You can call the scaling of that character a number of terms, but not one used to mock a subset of individuals. The only acceptable use of the word "retarded" on the boards is in it's non-offensive context of "to slow or delay," such as ""his progress was retarded by his limp." Even then, I would suggest a different word choice.
A great irony here is that "retard" was used to replace other words used for mental disabilities that had developed negative meanings. These words, which are continued to be used by everyone to this day were, "moron, "imbecile", "feeble-minded", and "idiot". These replaced words are allowed to be used by everyone without consequence, even through they were the previous medical terms.
Pika Fox (NA)
: I mean, realistically towers are too tanky. Its why ADCs exist in the first place and why they end up getting nerfed. Theyre just kinda in a weird state of "either they die too fast because everyones there and focusing them/ADC has 4 items" or "the enemy team is up and defending the towers, so the game is gunna last 50 mins" Especially with an anivia.....
Honestly, back in the day, I've had a ton of amazing games turn around at 50-60 minutes. Part of the enjoyment was those longer, slower games where a couple deaths didn't mean the game would turn one sided. Riot had a focus on slowing the game down through earlier seasons. Now, from either a new direction or chasing a trend, the speed had shot up radically, where a single death is enough to put you critically behind with some champions. If the enemy team wants to turtle their towers? Let them do it, it will mean that neutral objectives are less contested so you can build up more. However, even if they are turtling, that is why Champions like Singed became memes, they would run behind the still alive tower to steal farm, forcing the enemy team to come in to chase them off, which allowed the rest of the team to push a tower. This is ironically the exact same type of strategy that Inting Sion uses, except the towers are weak enough that he can just kill them while at the same time drawing map pressure from the enemy team, allowing them to take more objectives. The strategy has always been here, it is just way too effective because the counter to prevent it, strong towers, are gone. On a somewhat related note, this illustrates how League used to be balanced. https://www.nerfnow.com/img/737/1186.png

This is what happens when you have a tower killing ability when the towers are already weakened to tissue paper with a tanky champion. Lazy fix: Remove this as a strategy. Better fix: Make towers tougher overall so they can't be easily rushed down and act as an actual defensive position. This really does seem like the old Singed strategies, except Singed runs away to troll a few seconds later, and he was tanky enough to need 2-3 people to respond, allowing the rest of the team more room.

Now I'm reminded about AP Sion...
: League of Legends has lost a lot of its heart, hasn't it?
Something that Riot needs to do is take a step back and stop focusing on eSports, and I don't mean for pro play, but they have been focusing on making League a spectator sport instead of a game you play. The primary thing that this game needs is that all of the decisions need to be based on gameplay and game feel first the foremost. So long as a game feels good to play, people will want to play it, regardless of eSports or not. Once the gameplay is back in order, there shouldn't be any reason not to add some spectacle to it for people watching, but a video game if first and foremost something that you play, not just watch. The other problem that Riot has put themselves in by focusing League into being a spectacle, but feels bad to play, is that even if people are enticed to start playing League because of what they saw in eSports, they will drop the game due to that bad game feel, as many of us have because of these changes just not being a fun experience.

: Riot is Making Me Hate Pro Play and Their Greed is Making Me Have Little Faith in The Devs

: Let's at least get one thing straight - Riot doesn't actually do this for the sake of the pros. The bot lane situation this year wasn't for their sake. The do this for the *viewers.* That's an important distinction. They are buffing things that they hope will add some variety to Worlds. They are avoiding buffing things that would become pick/ban there. They don't do that for the sake of the pros. The pros will work around it, like they always do. They do it because the community complains when a champ is pick/ban. There's nothing interesting about watching a champ get banned every game because it's OP. You can still hate it if you want, but let's not pretend that they do it for DoubleLift. I think that's demonstrably false.
Doing it for the viewers is just as bad, if not worse. League of Legends is meant to be a game you play, not simply watch. If they were doing it for Pros, then it would be based on at least some gameplay, but instead, they are doing it for Joe Shmoe watching a video online to entice him into trying to play the game. However, due to the game feel, people who try and play get turned away, along with existing people, causing a net negative. The first and foremost thing a game designer needs to do when making and balancing a game is the gameplay and game feel, as that is the primary way the game's audience is supposed to interact with it. If a game is also fun to watch, that is a bonus on top, and good gameplay and game feel often lead into enjoyable content to watch. If they want to make the game for viewers instead of the people actually playing the game, they should just stick to making movies.

: Reddit removes posts where people go apeshit and verbally abuse someone. Threads which are common on boards are no-go on reddit, which is good actually. Also, yes, i know about that, but there was at least one very big thread about PAX situation which was on front page. They maybe went too far with deleting, but there was no reason to make multiple threads about one issue either
Making multiple threads about a single issue is extremely common, you won't find a reddit board, a forum, or a BBS that doesn't have multiple threads about a single issue. Hell, even LoL's reddit page has some right now. Even with dedicated mega threads, there are side threads about the same or similar topics going on at the same time. Also there is a very good reason to make multiple threads, as otherwise discussion gets literally buried under the massive number of comments, especially when it is a dynamic thread that primarily promotes older, more upvoted posts, making a person who have a very in depth thought not get the time of day. To counter this, someone will create a new thread about the same overall topic, and put their 2 cents, or 2 dollars depending on the word count, so that people can more easily see it. This often causes it to evolve into a new discussion. This is common even here where if someone feels they have a good idea with how to improve something, putting a post in a 1k+ post thread only adds their voice to the pile to be scrolled through, while a new post gives them the spotlight. Creating a single mega thread and forcing all discussion into it and culling anything outside of it only achieves forcing that issue off to one corner. This is commonly done in business marketing to keep things more "on message" while still placating the people who want or need to talk about it.

That's shameful, there's a reason why boards are viewed as a joke in the community. To be fair, the Reddit side is so curated by the mods against any negative posts, even threads about major events are culled. Just look at what happened about the PAX issue when it was making waves, the Reddit threads kept getting closed down because they were "too repetitive", even though that is what people were trying to talk about.

I would literally throw money at whoever is able to make an old-school League of Legends server with classic Malzahar.
: I have been keeping this Idea a secret, until now. Malzahar gets counter play tools!
Personally, this feels very overcomplicated and doesn't fit the play style that Malzahar has built up over the years. Old Malzahar had enough tools in his kit that even without his ult he could effectively duel champions in close to melee range so long as they were not completely fed. Too many people underestimate the need Null Zone was in his kit. All it was, was a damage zone, but people feared it like the plague and was one of his most effective zoning tools. His current kit suffers greatly from its loss and being replaced by largely ineffective Voidlings.
