Charmy Bird (EUNE)
: What's the big deal with karma? I keep hearing about her all the time. She's in ever cinematic for soem reason and people keep crying abiut her. She isn't half as popular as other Champs who don't get any attention at all. There are more Champs who suffer with godawful old models and outdated kits who have priority over karma. Can we focus on the real problems?
She's a problem because A ) Riot knows she's a problem, has acknowledged it openly, but also says they're too scared to do anything with her B ) Karma players haven't been able to play their champion in a very long time. Her kit is stale, boring, lacks depth, and is either too strong, or too weak due to how basic and limited it is. Yes, other champions need updates (There's 20+ of the old ones that need it pretty badly), but their time will come. Right now, they may look ugly but their kits still function well enough to be played without an issue (Malph, Soraka, Anivia, etc).
: The Original Idea of Karma's VGU Was Not Successful and She Needs Attention Now
Karma needs a gameplay update. _ASAP._ There isn't an excuse anymore. There's been a lot of discussion about her recently, both by the players and devs; she needs to be next in line for the VGU with Shyvanna, just as they're coupling Fiddles and Voliboss. Personally, I would love to have her pushed into the Support role completely. Not because I main Support, but because her character says "Support Mage". Her story says Support Mage. Being a Support leaves her so much more room in her kit to include a heal, and also include other interesting mechanics. Forcing her into a Mid-Mage role would, I feel, dull her down and flatten her character and personality, forcing her into more damaging spells than the utility and interesting gameplay changes she has the potential to bring. They need to focus on her being a conduit of spirit and energy like her story, and reflect that in her gameplay. No matter how you look at it, though, the Mantra ultimate replacement will never work, in my opinion. Having Karma limited to three spells will always feel bad, no matter how you look at it. Heimer's feels decent because "HERE'S MY SUPER SPECIAL MEGA UPGRADE UNIT!" fits his theme and kit. It works on LeBlanc, again, because _it fits her theme_ of mirror imaging everything. Karma's "Here's one powered up spell that does essentially the same thing, but with a slightly better effect" doesn't feel good. She doesn't play differently because of it. 90% of the time you just cast it as soon as it's up with Q, or W when you need to heal. No matter how I look at it, Karma needs to drop the current "ultimate" and gain a real spell. If they're tied to the whole theme of "power up your next spell", then just have the spell you cast act differently depending on which spell you cast before it (Similar to Ryze, kind of). They're going to disappoint people with this update, but it's inevitable. It happens with every champion VGU. It's better to solidify who and what she is, instead of have her hover in purgatory being a bad mix. Give her a VGU, Riot. _ BEFORE_ you give Ryze his 8th rework.

The Essence Emporium is open until the 10th. By this logic, they should be available.

: Pyke _was_ hit by the removal of Ancient Coin & Targon's allied healing, but he's always had much higher gold generation than the other supports. That's his thing. The offset is that he doesn't have many of the important things a conventional support has. Senna was designed with preseason and S10 in mind. Also, I'm not saying Senna is weak but it's not like she's running around dominating the entire game and no other support is viable. Thresh, Morgana, Blitz, Pyke, and a handful of other supports can still hold their own. __________ Edit: God, the amount of bias here is crazy. I feel the need to explain myself. **I'm not arguing whether or not Pyke is strong or weak at the moment** (although, since we're on the topic: if you look at any website from OP.GG to League of Graphs to Champion.GG, he _is_ in a much weaker state) but pointing out that he did suffer from the support item changes. OP claimed that he didn't get punished at all when he _did_, since his only form of allied healing was Targon's and he lost the advantage that Ancient Coin gave him. Whether you like Pyke or not does not matter: _The answer to OP's post is that he was hit by the removal of certain items._ The term "conventional" is referring to things like allied heals, allied shields, and reliable CC. While Pyke is in a lower state than before, I do not think he's unplayable or incredibly weak. My point is not to call attention to how strong Pyke's current kit may or may not be, but to bring attention to the fact that the things he _does_ have is not always what is needed and to show that he was hit by the support changes.

That's his thing. The offset is that he doesn't have many of the important things a conventional support has. Yeah, you're right. Instead of an ally heal he only has an amazing self-regen, invisibility, a pull, a slow, a movement speed increase, a dash, a stun, an execute ultimate, the ability to grant free gold to their carry, and he makes use of the most efficient damage items in the entire game. The offset is that he just doesn't have a heal guys.

Translation: "We know this has been an absolute shit-show, but we hope that you guys will eventually forget about it, because we're going to do absolutely nothing about it." You guys genuinely suck ass with your systems you roll out sometimes. There is literally no excuse for this. You're not a "small indie company" with 16 people in a room anymore. This could have easily been prevented with a hundred different solutions/alternatives, but I see none. You have lazy infrastructure/client programming teams. This is Bethesda level of fuck-up.

: >Force us to create global Riot accounts, that aren't associated with the servers. So you think they should *start* by telling everyone "lol create a new account free for all good luck"? That's a great way to have servers crash, because you'll have people fighting for names the second it opens. No, it's much better (and it's how every other merger does it) to just have a system in place for choosing the "most worthy" account and forcing all other accounts with that login name to change, then allowing the linkage of multiple accounts at a later time.
> [{quoted}](name=rujitra,realm=NA,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=MlEMjQAk,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2019-11-27T16:36:03.552+0000) > > So you think they should *start* by telling everyone "lol create a new account free for all good luck"? Yes. If it came down to it, yes, this would have been a better alternative to this garbage system we've got now. We've essentially just negated people from choosing millions upon millions of account names because Riot was too stupid, lazy, or incompetent (My money's on all of the above), to find a way for people to keep their current name. There was zero notification about it. People were just prompted upon logging in.

It baffles me that riot hasnt updated his animations or just make the new skins with different ones (atleast his AA animation). Last skin was playmaker lee and he was dogshit because it uses default animations. Nightbringer will be the exact same garbage...for the exact same reason. And to think they will charge 1k+ RP for that abomination+prestige edition is beyond any reasoning imho. > > Stick to muay thai/god fist. > > GL&HF at the rift. They at least need to give Nightbringer Lee some slashing animations or something; he's got huge claws, yet his animations show him lightly tapping people with the back of his hand. A bit of a letdown.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure they weren't available for Blue Essence during the Mid-Season Essence Emporium, because skins need to be out for a year (Maybe six months?) before going into it. I was under the impression skins that had been out for at least a year (Until Emporium hits) were made available. I don't understand why they would do this, considering the dates literally overlap.

: what skin line is the Swain under? Because hes at 50 seconds into the video but not in your description.
: Yuumi's laning phase is awfully weak, even more so after support item changes
I would be okay never seeing Yuumi again for the rest of my days. She has one of the most unhealthy kits in League. All of the past few Supports do, but hers is arguably the worst. Designing a champion where you can make it literally impossible for the enemy to interact with you is bad design, period.
: Playing supp feels like ass
Honestly I've just been building Frozen Heart on every Support now because I lack mana to do anything. It sucks, but hey, it's a temporary fix. Just need to chill when people start spam-clicking your Warden's Mail.
: Rioters put more than you'd think into making these skins. So cut them a break guys
So, I have to say I support both sides of this. 1. In the first case, I hardly believe quitting your job over feeling badly about a skin you've created is the right reaction. I believe the skin looks alright. Only seen it a few times, but it looks fine. To work in the gaming industry, you need thick skin. People are going to give you feedback constantly. That's how these games work. If you can't handle it, then despite being able to design nice things like skins, etc., perhaps this isn't the job for you. 2. The new Aatrox skin has been widely received as bad because it A) Looks too similar to his previous skin B) It's a theme that doesn't really fit him Not only does it look incredibly similar to his Justicar skin, but it looks plain awkward. Almost like Aatrox is running around in spandex. The justicar skin was a nice alter-ego skin, but the Victorious skin took it one step too far. I would've personally gone for a new them entirely this year, and used Aatrox as an example to start a new "Victorious" line; One where they could make him look bruised, beaten, damaged, but came out "Victorious" in the end. But I digress. The game design industry is an environment where you're going to get feedback 24/7, whether you like it or not. Developers should be glad they have players giving them feedback every day; they should be looking forward to it and treat it all as a learning experience, whether it's good or bad. Hell, I work in IT, and I get feedback all the time from users. It's a good thing. On the other hand, it should never go as far as insulting the person themselves. I mean, yeah, some people are exhausted with some of the devs for creating brokenly OP champions or items, and they get insulted (Called stupid, etc), which comes from frustration of playing a competitive game against these things. But skins? They're entirely cosmetic, added purely for the addition of fun. There never needs to be insults thrown at a designer because they've designed an "ugly" skin, especially when they may not have any say in it. They could be given a "Hey, make this champion a skin in this theme line!" instruction, and that's all they get, we don't know. Give feedback, even if it's bad. Just be kind about it.

: Lets fix the new support items for Riot... Starting with the new relic line
The Shield line needs Health Regen. It's as simple as that. Halving it for Ranged is the way to go. I immediately thought we'd need to buy Doran's Shield as well after seeing the patch notes, and I feel it may be the best way to go. Unless you genuinely want all melee Supports to rush Knight's Vow, in which case... Thanks, I guess, Rito? Pretty boring item builds. The gold generation being removed at Tier 3 is one of the worst ideas, genuinely. What, so, I get some bonus stats for hitting Tier 3 before my opponent, but now they get to catch up to me because you've all of a sudden removed my income. Great, thanks, I hate it! You're going to see a lot of Supports rushing Knight's Vow (Or another Health Regen item) and Athene's Unholy Grail/Tear, simply because they straight removed mana regen/health regen. The mana regen I don't care as much about, because Supports were slowly being phased out with Mages, but the health regen... That just hurts.

Was hoping for a Vilemaw-like skin for Elise for playing X amount of games, or at least being able to be purchased (For Essence or RP, whatever) for a limited time before going away forever, but... Guess Riot didn't really care.
: Please, make this changes to Yorick. He feels awfull in medium/high elo. Long post.
Personally I would love that his Passive includes raising recently-dead Allies as mini-ghouls or something. Having an ally die next to him and res as a little ghoul with all their abilities replaced by "jump", would at the very least (perhaps) allow him to Support in some capacity. Or, even having his passive work for when Allies kill minions as well. I love Yorick's kit, theme, and character as a whole, but he just feels like he's missing something. I can't put my finger on it, and I know the above two ideas aren't the best, but they would certainly open him up to new ways of play.
: its just kinda funny noone said shit about ryze, worlds come along and he shits on everyone, now theres like 10 qq threads a day about him
Most likely because he wasn't widely played prior to Worlds. Now that people see how broken he can be, he's being played everywhere in every ELO, hence more complaints.

Good. Pyke needs a downside if he loses. He has everything you could ever want in his kit; he shouldn't be able to just jump into fights without risk if he loses.
: Is AP Malphite not just incredibly unhealthy by design?
He needs an AP-scaling reduction on his ult in exchange for Armor Scaling on it. The reason he's built as AP is because as a tank he doesn't do damage in this meta (That, and tanks suck right now). With a reason to build tank for a bit of damage, he'll be played properly again, but knowing Riot they're just going to straight up nerf his ratios and leave it at that.

: Riot Game Developers Don't Know What To Do With Karma. It's Their Fault Though.
Honestly, with a name like Karma, I would expect her to be a Support that reflects damage back from their ADC to the enemy. ..But that's not even close to what you see when you pick her up. Being able to attach her current Empowered W to an ally and an enemy? Awesome Support ability idea. "You stand on my ADC, you heal them and get rooted. KARMA FOR DIVING!" I'd like to see Riot have her be that kind of Support. Her personality just doesn't seem right for a Mage, but that's just my opinion.
: Can the elemental rifts have more influence on lanes and the river itself?
At the very least I'd like to see more visuals on the lanes/river. Water - Puddles throughout the lanes/rain/sound of thunder Fire - Some brush on fire, rocky/ash ground Air - Brush blowing in the wind Earth - Dust blowing, pebbles scattered about/ground rumbling I get they don't want to effect gameplay _too_ much, but I want to feel the rift being ravaged by those dragons, not just the jungle being touched.

Still not sure how Riot thought he would be balanced. - Essentially doubles your gold income when winning - An instant kill ult that only gets more powerful with time/as you win more (Due to the above double gold) - Arguably the two best escapes any Support has in the entire game - Regens all of his HP when a fight goes poorly for him with only one condition of vision loss - Hardly even has to dive in to engage because he has a hook - AoE stun that's a second gap closer, and an escape/stuns people who chase Rito - "Let's make an assassin support guys! It'll be fun and balanced and everyone will love it for years to come! We're fucking geniuses!" Just because you're the smartest person in special ed class doesn't mean you're a genius, Riot.
