Hey, Azir main here and I was wonder how you rioter's were gonna discuss with azir mains on the rework, would it be through reddit or just through the boards?. Also If Azir's range is being nerfed how would you compensate because of his unique auto attack mechanic, what I mean is that Azir isn't like other mid range mages, like ryze or cass who can move whileas dishing damage, Azir needs to stop moving to do damage putting him in a weird position. Was wondering riot if you would ever consider making azir a dual path champion, such as when he levels up his ult he can choose to keep mobility and lose range or keep range and lose mobility, This change only happens once. His new E ability would be just a auto atk boost with a slight slow added on to it per poke kinda like rylai's. This way azir would still have the two things that make him unique while as making him less oppressive, plus it makes it easier to buff/nerf either path because each focuses on one thing.(either long ranged artillery vs play making tactician) Thanks for reading {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
: Sona is broken imo. Just button mash and build however. Very flexible buildpaths, utility, a big aoe stun, heals, a speed boost for teammates, all on low cd.

: Dual path azir discussion (mainly for azir mains)
This would totally make azir balanced, it splits up two of the things that make him oppressive but still keeps it in his kit. I doubt that they would actually do this because they want to create "quick rework" for one of the most complicated if not the most complicated champions and this will in no way suffice for azir. Taking away one of azir's key points will only make him weaker and a more difficult version of other champions. If they take away his mobility he will be a weaker version of Xerath with less range and if they take away his range he will be a weaker version of ryze who has to stop moving to do damage, doesn't sound like a lot of mobility to me.

I'd rather believe this just splits up azir's abilities so he would become easier to nerf or buff because it doesn't cause him to benefit from both his range and mobility. Truly creating a More intricate champion. The chance of riot seeing this and actually making these changes are extremely rare but I would like to just inform people of my flawed Ideas. Yes Azir can do a lot of things, but the bulk of his kit is based on the late game where he has acquired enough items and is strong enough to be close to unbeatable. See in this rework azir has no passive until he reaches level 6, he stays the same early on in the game but the rework is suppose to limit what he can do late game. Azir doesn't have that great of an early game so I thought that there was no real reason to change his early game. Thank you for your comment sir much obliged

I'm going to reiterate what bravadorado said on the Azir mains page, "If Azir can decide mid match if he wants greater mobility and tankiness or greater poke/siege, that's a huge change. Any time someone counter picks you, you can just pick the path they don't counter. It's like playing rock paper scissors, except you get to play with both hands."
Saying its like playing rock paper scissor but twice isn't the right analogy. I'd rather say it makes azir choose only one of the possible choices and if we assume summoners rift is just many different rock paper scissor games then azir only has one choice in the early game lets say papers. it's possible to go even with him but also you could lose or win, while as azir has to stay paper early on in the game allowing you, the enemy to, adapt. After 6 azir can choose to win the game early but risk his late game potential or forget early and climb his way into ascension throughout the game. Both paths still have different problems such as one has more damage but less tanky stats while as the other is reversed. They still have the same rudimentary problems among both paths, such as that he has to setup his soldiers and he can't really do well against burst champs, path 1 more-so. This rework would significantly dam anyone who makes the wrong choice and gets oneshot or cc'd to hell,each paths respective problems. 200k mastery point azir main here, And I for one believe that the first option seems so much better. I believe that he can lose his range in exchange for keeping his dash. I for one love the feeling of hitting a 5 man shuffle. Azir really doesn't need that much range, I mean its unfair when I play the strongest azir build which contains luden's echo and void staff as the main items and I one shot the enemy adc while Im hanging far off from the support. I seriously love his dash and in exchange why not give him his knockup again enforcing that he becomes a battle mage.(I hope that they also change his scaling so i can play tanky battle mage azir) {{champion:268}} "Shurima will once again stretch to the horizon."
