Idk i don't see how it's okay for nasus to hit towers and jax can't. I mean we've all been there when Nasus literally take 2 towers in 30 seconds because my team chose to fight a 5v4 that ended well, but 30 seconds go by and our inhib is gone. How is this healthy?

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut to sum it up, akali essentially built Sword of The Occult, Mejai's, and Leviathan (which was similar to them but stacked hp) and she would be tanky, and still deal enough damage to kill almost anyone else. That said, they could SOTO could be added in with one small change. Simply make it so you cannot stack both it and mejais at the same time. however with the ADC meta we're in right now, this would be a really bad idea since it would make them snowball even harder.

Well soto was still around even when leviathan was removed. They could've just made it so soto/mejaus didn't stack. I think it goes hand and hand, it would be good for adcs, but also ad assassins.

: The short answer is that they didn't feel that they could get a rework of SoTO out there that was both balanced and fun, but they did have an idea for a reworked Mejai's that was both. (Or, at least, they believed it was both.) Remember, Mejai's isn't the same item that it was when SoTO existed, it got a near-total rework since then.

I like to act as a hypercarry. If you look at my alt account in solo-ranked which I am taking very seriously now, I have really good numbers. Note: Mained Yi and Rengar since season 3. Easily over 1 MIL mastery points on Yi across my accounts.

: No, the reason is because when people are perma-muted they troll. I remember people getting thousands of games of chat restrictions. That was Riot's attempt at perma-mutes. But most players just trolled because they couldn't force out their anger through chat.
Chat restriction and permanent chat mute are two entirely different things. You are assuming that someone who uses offensive 'language' and 'harassment' are automatically going to perform well and grief. That is a terrible argument because it's just simply not true. I use to flame people all the time while carrying games.

This is what happens when there is a monopoly on a specific market. Which riot games has. They don't treat their players fairly. For example, if you are banned for 'offensive language' and/or 'harassment', why doesn't the account get a permanent chat ban. Why the entire account? I'll tell you why, the answer is simply; profits. They know most people will just make a new account and buy skins over again. There is no justification in banning an account if the person has the obligation to simply make a brand new account and perform 'offensive language' and 'harassment' again. The solution is simple. I literally just /mute all anytime I see ANYONE doing anything or saying something I don't like. This way I don't ever have the temptation to say anything in the chat box.
: Master Yi gets asked about in every patch chat -- unfortunately he's pretty solidly in the camp of champions that likely need a larger scope gameplay update to address any real/serious problems with the character.
If you notice, Yi becomes viable as soon as hypercarry items/builds become viable and/or smooth to build. If you look at items in the past (pre-rework Guinsoos/Devourer/Feral Flare/Youmoo's ((when it had AS steroid)) ) Yi was absolutely fine and was actually pretty strong. I don't think he needs a major update, I think he simply needs a few QOL changes. Has there ever been any talk of returning the AS steroid to Youmoo's, but only applying to melee champions? I remember hearing that the reason Youmoo's lost its AS steroid active was because ranged champions were abusing it. What if that change was reverted but then only applied to melee champions? The AS buff wouldn't really effect assassins like Talon, Rengar, or Zed since most of their kit revolves around spells and not auto attacks to dish out their burst, but would GREATLY benefit Yi who is struggling right now.. EDIT: To sum up Yi, as someone who has mained him since season 3, I think the **main issue with Yi is NOT his kit, but the fact he is extremely sensitive to itemization. All that needs to happen for him to be viable again is to tweak some items.**

It's tradeoffs; can't have the best of both worlds. If you want to have more cdr on your ultimate in season 8, your early laning phase is going to suffer, and rightfully so imo.

I think that's a little too broken against stealth. I made a comment above for a way to implement true sight into his kit without making him complete faceroll against stealth champs. Check it out.

: Nah these are just a bit weird. I'm gonna repeat what I say everytime concerning Yi. He needs his ult reverted to previous state (10 s base duration instead of 7, +4/kill or assist instead of 7, total cooldown reduced) and MAYBE slightly more movespeed on it, like +5% at best. Small QOL buffs like this will help him up tremendously. Sure an antistealth would help him but it makes no sense seeing his lore/character.
What if Yi while channeling meditate AND highlander together, gained true sight of his normal sight range?? :DD i think it would be awesome.

: I'm sorry that your League experience hasn't been as enjoyable this year as past ones. I sympathize with some of the points you bring up and I just wanted to give some of my perspective as an individual who works on the Live Gameplay team. First, I think there's a tendency for some players to think that our balance approach is directed at creating a game state that generates the most LC$$$. This is simply false. As a person who's worked on changes for the game over the past ~2 years, I've never once been asked to consider eSports revenue as a factor in my design decision making. If this was truly our goal, I'm sure you'd be hearing a lot more "ha-sa-ki" in the pro games you are watching. As a designer, I value the pro-game as an expression of what optimized behavior looks like. Having an eSports scene illuminates what is powerful and what is weak to every player and helps designers understand what systems need to be re-balanced in order to achieve more variety in League's gameplay. This is both good and bad because even though it helps live players discover new strategies, it also accelerates the solving of the meta-game when something is over-tuned or lacks counter-play. Ideally, being informed by pro-play allows us to make changes that improve the holistic experience for all players over time. But balancing our timing with what's healthy for pro play has historically been very challenging. This year we tried to be more accommodating to the pro players with the degree and timing of our changes nearing Worlds. I personally feel like this was a correct decision, but it also meant we took on different risks than previous years which have manifested different costs. I also want to highlight that some opinions about the game aren't uniform at Riot. Designers argue and discuss about what the game needs every day but efforts to make change need to be balanced with features that the design team is already aligned on delivering. For example, I personally think League's pacing should be re-examined and that Duskblade should probably be re-shaped, but it's unlikely that I could work on those changes properly without seeing what the game looks like after Runes Reforged shakes things up. To close, I realize this post isn't very specific about particular solutions we might have in mind with the pain points you brought up, but we are most definitely examining the game with similar lenses. I'm sure all of the devs on League are striving to do better in this new season as well and I hope we can earn back your trust with the efforts you'll see in the coming months and new year.
Ya know.. i think duskblade was a LOT healthier when it was ramp up damage. You would actually be rewarded for sticking to a target and doing your damage appropriately. NOW? It's way too frontal damage. Before, there was a risk in sitting there and dishing out damage to your target because the damage would come at the end. So there was ACTUALLY some counterplay. NOW?? None. Zero. TLDR; Have there been thoughts on bringing back the old design of the item where it did the damage at the end? It seemed like there was more counterplay against the item back then.

Very true, but this post is simply about the itemization OF the hypercarry/adc not other roles. You realize how hard it is to time your own QSS with your supports use of that item? More often than not (and this goes for high-end play), if you aren't on voice chat together, chances are you're going to overlap the use of the two and someone is going to get triggered, lol.
