Best you can do is in game mute them and post game report them and move on. There's literally no way to get out of a prison game like that where you're taken hostage. Thanks to zero in game presence on the Rift, this will never be fixed. GG Rito.

Instead he tries to make a play and watches you sit there doing nothing, and he dies. When he asks you about it, you gave him a snarky response. I'm not condoning what Ekko did for the remainder of the game, but you handled the initial conversation very poorly.

: Ranking system really stupid for supports
Agree with OP and made a thread about this long ago, this sucks for tank supports. To get an S- takes flawless play and a game that has to accrue tons of kills, but getting bumped to an S/S+ for r7 tokens requires a minor miracle.

Wards are part of calculating your rating. If you want that high rating, you'll have to do better even in those extreme circumstances. Ok, I was just making sure you did read it bc it comes across as you having not read it bc again - you make a comment about "warding more" than I did when I stated initially than I intentionally did not buy Sightstone in order to (1) survive and avoid feeding due to 2 and 3 man dives (2) and the fact that I was never able to leave my turret once in lane. After lane phase I could have opted to buy the SS but front lining for the carries who were doing well was my priority. Had I purchased the SS and skipped another major item, I would've died very quickly. The lack of warding is probably the biggest issue (if you're not opting for sightstone, then I'd probably prefer yellow trinket...if you swpt a whole lot of wards then perhaps sweeper was worth though), but that combined with potentially not being seen as a support (and afterall, you *weren't* supporting there, you were essentially just being a solo lane tank) could also be contributing. > > edit: If you were graded as a braum top (or y'know, braum not-support), then the lack of kills would probably be a big factor. I've seen intentional solo lane braums do some scary on hit things in previous patches, so braum getting his hands bloody is definitely a thing. This is a question I'd love to get a Riot answer to: was I graded as a support or something other since I was stuck soloing 1v2?

: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2202956270?tab=stats As I suspected. you barely warded. For an almost 40 minute game, you should have been high 20's if not 30's. 4v5's are unfortunate, but you are still judged as support. That includes vision.

I stated that I didn't ward intentionally, did you not read this? Being {{champion:201}} by myself versus {{champion:53}} {{champion:222}} humping my turret & being dove by those 2 plus a top lane {{champion:14}} tp'ing bot I had **zero** use for wards and immediate use for defensive stats. If warding alone is why Riot's system deducts points in a 4v5 match the algorithm needs a major adjustment. In a solo lane with a disconnected teammate the algorithm should change, not hold the same support standard as a normal lane b/c there's nobody to support but myself lol.

: We're talking about evidence based on memory here... There's no need for 100% precise mathematics, when the thing your starting with is essentially a ballpark figure. But alright, let's be really really accurate here: if you encounter a toxic player every 2 games, that would imply there is about a 6.7% chance that a given player is toxic. Proof: Chance of a player **not** being toxic: 93% Chance of 10 players not being toxic: 0.93^10 = 0.5 = 50% Chance of any of 10 players being toxic: 1 - 0.5 = 0.5 = 50% 6.7% is still not that far from 2%. Mind you, one thing I haven't even talked about is, the chance of encountering a toxic player is not quite the same as the actual percentage of toxic players; For example if toxic players, on average, play more often than non-toxic players. That kinda would make sense in the case of ragers, given that to rage about a video game you have to be rather enthusiastic about it, which in turn implies more playtime. I'm not going to adress the premade argument, because it's been talked to death and Riot came out straight up and denied that toxicity is more frequent in premades. (Where we once again arrive at the point I was making originally: That Riot gives out information, but a lot of people simply refuse to believe it)
> [{quoted}](name=TrulyBland,realm=EUNE,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=FABfRi0u,comment-id=0005000000000000,timestamp=2016-02-25T11:02:29.466+0000) > > We're talking about evidence based on memory here... (Where we once again arrive at the point I was making originally: That Riot gives out information, but a lot of people simply refuse to believe it) 6.7% is more than triple the amount of toxic players than Riot claims the player base consists of. I'm not sure how you can seriously claim "it's not that far" from their original claim. Again, your example uses 1 toxic player per 2 matches and doesn't include parties of 3 and 4 toxic bullies which have become prevalent since Dynamic Queue went live. You may choose not to address this and buy what Riot's selling but that's not the point. The point is that the numbers of toxic players have increased exponentially with premade groups in ranked queues. You don't think they're bringing back true ranked solo queue's just because it's fun right? It's because this is a massive problem. I'm not sure why you're so willing to believe Riot's information when by your own very conservative calculations you've arrived at a number that's more than triple the number that Riot gives out.

: This right here is the actual problem. Objective statistics often contradict subjective and biased experience. It's not that Riot is extremely secretive about their statistics, it's that the people that demand those statistics are, as it seems, often those who simply don't believe them when they get them. I mean, let's even just take a look at your claim that you run into toxic people 50% of the games... that's (at least) one player every 2 games. That's 1 in 20 players; or 5%. That's not even that far away from what Riot claims. Add to that negativity bias, confirmation bias, selective perception and all those other funny biases screwing with our memory, and Riot's number doesn't seem so far fetched anymore.
> [{quoted}](name=TrulyBland,realm=EUNE,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=FABfRi0u,comment-id=00050000,timestamp=2016-02-24T23:03:59.557+0000) > I mean, let's even just take a look at your claim that you run into toxic people 50% of the games... that's (at least) one player every 2 games. That's 1 in 20 players; or 5%. That's not even that far away from what Riot claims. You're assuming for your example that it's only 1 offender every 2 matches - a VERY poor assumption. Using your assumption, the 5% one, that's actually more than double Riot's claims so yes, that is far away. The fact that groups of 2,3 and 4 can now roll into ranked queue's now only increases the amount of problem players you'll come across as many of them now are grouped and are bullying in groups. On any given day on this board you'll find plenty of threads addressing this issue specifically where groups of players bully the OP and they've had it with this game. That isn't 1 problem player per match - it's 4 out of 10 - 40%.
: I Want Proof
It would be really nice if Riot posted updated statistics of reports/punishments they receive and hand out weekly, because no player in their right mind is buying that it's only 2% (or whatever the exact number) of the entire player base is the problem. Queue up 10 ranked games solo and you'll run into champion select trolls, griefers, rage quitters, toxic rage babies and AFK's in a minimum of 50% of your games. That being said, don't ever use that tool Dunkey to drive home any point you wish to make here or on any Riot board and expect to be taken seriously.
: Do note that according to this thread: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/ZfE1YdkQ-perma-banned-for-this?comment=000800000000 0.006% of LoL playerss got permabanned. #That's 1620 players out of 27 million players!!
