all annies aside, these capsules suck. i just played 10 games to level from 12 to 13 and all i got was 450 blue essence....i'm pretty sure that's well below what i would have earned with the old IP system. lets say all 10 games were losses valued @ 75 ip x 10 games = 750 ip. i think riot is trying to force you to spend money to play the game now as opposed to making really cool skins and champions...i remember when it used to matter when riot launched skins and champs years ago. was way different; now it's sort of 'whatever' when they do it, and the new rewards system is total cack.

: First Win of the Day mission missing
so i just started leveling another account, and w/o first win of the day bonus, i'm averaging about 110 XP a game. at level 12 it's taken 10 games to level up. really disappointing that there's no FWotD bonus...i don't think it should take 10 games to go form level 12 to 13...there's been one game that's been +20 minutes long, every other game players just ff at 15 mins or open mid and feed. pretty sad/troll/toxic

i 100% agree with the OP. this community is full of nothing but children who either A) want to ruin it for you because they're insecure or B) don't understand the mechanics behind such a simple game and therefore become upset with any criticism they receive and report you after game. this community needs to mature. i also agree with the comments about the community killing itself; it's already losing viewer ship to other games, and i myself don't tune in to any of the professional LCS games any more. i've played for seven years, i've seen players come, and go, i've grown, learned and adapted as a person and as a LoL player, yet the community is still the petty childish monstrosity that it was seven years ago. but hey, i'm just some random dildo sitting at home in his mothers basement, right? riot games, league of legends, you both suck.

: But the problem is that you need to play till you level up in order to get BE. Let's say I have 6299 BE and want to buy Jinx for example. In the old system I could simply play a single game and get that IP/BE needed to get the champion I want. In the new system, you'd have to wait and play however many games it takes to level up in order to get the BE needed for the champion or item you want to buy.
i believe the majority of us feel the same way regarding their new rewards system, but take into consideration where riot is coming from; they make 0 dollars from champion sales if they just give them away. i'm not trying to be mean and start a fight with you i'm merely looking at it from riots stand point; they need to eat too...and those servers won't admin themselves (unless riot wants to give me an admin job cuz that'd be cool, i'd do it cheaper than the guy who's doing it now ;). i can forward you my resume and credentials asap). in this instance both parties need to reach an agreeance on how to balance this situation

: I feel like the optimal solution here for Riot is to split the rewards. Give half as much BE as we used to get IP immediately after a game as a direct reward, then tune leveling rewards to give half as much as they do now. No one gets stuck 10 BE away from a champ, and Riot gets to keep their idea of reliance on champ shards (which I have no problem with). The ratio could be easily tuned away from 50/50. As a further note to Rioters who may be lurking, this would make more sense psychologically. There is a direct and immediate reward after each game, as well as a sense of progression, as well as a goal for an even bigger reward, all while BE gains remain roughly the same. upvote as a long time player the new reward system doesn't really feel as rewarding as the previous system. i have barely touched the game since the preseason patch and when i do i don't see my BE going up and feel discouraged and frustrated
: I dunno; The system seems like a change *just* for the sake of change and doesnt' improve on anything and only causes frustration. It takes longer to get rewards or at least *see* them, because you only get them when you lvl up. And the higher you level the slower you lvl, so over time it just becomes a longer and longer and longer grind to get anything. The old system just gave you rewards gradually over time. Also with this new system, you're basically punished for playing a lot. And rewarded for playing little. Either way, there was no reason for the new system, it makes people who play the game a lot feel worse off and people who play little better off. Which shouldn't be the case, BOTH types of players should be rewarded for the time they put in. You very well could have done other things to improve the rate at which new players earn champions without making people who play a lot *feel* worse off. Yes your math may be correct and everything evens out. But its the *feel* of the system, it *feels* bad, EVEN with the math you provide. No one wants to earn stuff in big batchs, having to grind out several games upwards of 30, because they were 50 blue essence off buying a champ.
i hear u man, it's kinda bs for those people that don't have extra money to spend on league to get stuck a few B.E. short of their desired champ. ultimately they want you to spend money on their game to keep it going. to be fair they do also give you a bunch of free stuff if you're a sportsmanlike player with their hextech chests. i most definitely hear you, about how it _feels bad_. we'll see what the future holds for their in game currency. not to put all the power in riots hands, but, i'm still glad their is a free currency. i upvoted you, i do agree with you

: My main issue with the new blue essence is that it is completely reliant on leveling up to gain rewards. For example imagine if there was a champ you wanted to get and you just leveled up with the rewards from this level up giving you an amount of blue essence so that you are a single digit amount shy of having the champ. In the old system you could just play a random game mode queue or an aram to just quickly get the ip needed. However, in the new system you can't do that and as a result you would have to grind out on average another 10 games to get just a small amount of blue essence. I can see this just being absolutely frustrating towards any parties involved.
man their game is free to play, but that doesn't mean they won't try to force you into a situation where you feel you have to spend money on it. all in all they are a for profit organization; they don't have to GIVE you anything. if that sounds harsh, please don't take it personally, it's merely their business model. i dislike it too; it doesn't feel like you make any progress during your game play. sit for a gaming session of six to eight games, and you gain negative blue essence until you level up, and even then (now i'm only level 32 mind you), when you do level, the majority of your drops (in this case mine, as they have all disenchanted into 270 blue essence par for one) are the cheap champions. i believe their calculations or algorithm are a bit off in regards to their aforementioned 'math'. either way, you have to put time in to farm for the champs you want, or, if you're a lucky duck, you'll catch that bad boy in one of your capsules when you level, and, won't have to spend 6300 blue essence for them :). it's not perfect, but at least they're transparent, and have openly admitted that they're listening to us and open to adjusting it in the future, anyways PEACE IM OUT

Also the 'communication is important' defense has been debunked many times. With the smart pings and ability to ping cooldowns and other critical info, you can communicate anything you need without having to type. Most ranked games I play, barely anything is said in chat at all, but there's ample communication happening via pings.
your bullshit troll answer hasn't gone unnoticed. the fact of the matter is that there are a lot more cheaters than there used to be. you answering 'just mute them' will not fix the issue of some dildo sitting in his basement turning on a lag switch that riot games isn't interested in fixing because it doesn't generate revenue for them. your answer is merely fodder for the fire; you're instigating and antagonizing. this was a post about lag switchers and ddoser and players using your public ip address to remotely shut down your pc. if you believe that muting people will fix any of those issues, then i pray i never have to work with you on summoners rift^^
