Hey, you said you fixed your matchmaking for day 3, but during my second match my team matched against another that was around an entire tier higher (as in 3 silver and 2 golds vs 2 plat, 2 golds and 1 silver IIRC), is this normal? Beside that great mode, haven't had this much fun and match pre-match anticipation playing league in years.

Why is crit still a somehow RNG mechanic instead of something like 25% being a crit every 4th AA (with different counters for champions minions)?

I Love playing Lee Sin and Yasuo because they are fun, but I do have crap win rates with them and I should play champs because they are "fun" in normals I suppose, not ranked. I do need to play more Malz / Ashe / Blitz. I play A LOT of Thresh, my win rate probably isn't great with him though because he is tough to carry with in solo queue. Maybe I HAVE peaked, who knows.

Meh peaking just means you've stopped playing for the sake of improving and are just playing for the sake of playing. Not that you can't have fun in rank, it's just different than normals.

First off play less champions and stop playing lee/yas those are some shit win rates. Concentrate on a few champ you really want to be good as, the less champions the better, you ain't some pro who need to have an expend their champion pool, you're someone who need to learn to play in general. It's far easier to get better when you spam a single champ the reason being that you're no longer focused on the champ mechanics, but on the rest of your gameplay after enough games. The champs you're gonna choose should preferably be champions you like and who have a high skill cap, refer to champion.gg to see who has a high skill cap, for example kalista goes from 47 to 60 % win rate the more games you have with her, most adcs only gain 2-3%. Also focus on champs you do have an high win % with like blitz, ashe, malz, unless the games were flukes you should go higher.

It's not very surprising, champions with low play rates will have increased chance of abnormal data, the lower the sample size the higher the delta. And some champions that don't take much skill will have their win rates lower after a certain amount of game because the people who pick have reached their current best ranking and are just hovering there without really improving.

: Sure. Infinity Edge is slightly weaker now (little less AD), we shifted power elsewhere so it's less automatic and so that we could add cooler things to the Marksman space. Essence Reaver scales its CDR off of your critical strike chance so that it works as a big core item (think IE space). It can now give upwards of +30% CDR. Phantom Dancer does stuff other than just be straight up damage. Bonus movement speed while near your opponents and you take less damage from the last champion you hit. Isolate and kill people, basically. Rapid Firecannon charges up like Shiv, but when charged instead of prepping you for the thunder, increases your attack range and gives you a fiery hit at the end. Shiv does even more damage versus minions. It's specialized further into being the bursty clearing tool. Hurricane now crits and the bolts crit. Also movement speed. It's in the PD / Shiv space now, so it should be an option for more Marksman. Executioner's Calling is back, but it's a bit different and cheaper. Also it's a component item. It builds into something new. Last Whisper is now a component item. It builds into new things. There's something called Giant Slayer. It hurts health dudes. Merc scimitar has Lifesteal, you should feel comfortable taking it over BT. Death's Dance exist. It has something like Lifesteal but better. Also it "delays" damage. And tons of changes all over the place. This is just some of the marks targeted ones.
Darn that's a lot of items, has the goal shifted from each champion having a core item build to them being situational?

: if it was a debuff on the monster, it would disappear from the mini-map as soon as the monster was slain, effectively giving the team not responsible for slaying the camp extra information. Though overall I agree that it's handled rather poorly. The fact that kindred's mark covers up the information about whether that camp is alive or not, even when you _should_ have that information (ie, it's warded or someone on your team check) is also really annoying to deal with.

Nah I've seen it happen a bunch of times with different abilities, it's not rare. Also I've seen it happens before she even hits the target.

: It's technically not a reduction, it's the same thing they did with his E, they didn't reduce how long it takes for it to fall, they just made it so it starts right when you cast W and not after the .25s cast time. It's a lot like how Ekko's w works for what it means to his gameplay, the buff isn't the duration, which is the same, but that there's .25s less time for the enemy to react to it. If there's any reason for the winrate increase, it's the AP gain on assists, that's the BIG buff he gained.
At the end of the day it still appears 0.25s faster after he clicks which makes it easier to land. The AP on assist does not do much compared to the ludicrious amount of AP he's already able to gain.
: The 0.25s was necessary I remember playing veigar and watching all my mid lane opponents build mercury treads. I would never be able to hit an e+w unless I had a stun 100% confirmed and threw my w out immediately.
The something else should have been nerfed so it would balance out.

No she really shouldn't have she was already in a good spot and now she's overtuned, she'll get nerf at some point. Heimer win rate is due to a dedicated playerbase.

5 AP for assist does have an effect, but it's minimal compared to the gains he has by making his W easier to land.

Hum no? Those are not long range abilities. All of lux abilities are around 1100 beside her ult which is over 3k, similar things for someone like xerath, ziggs same principile, but his W is 1k and his E 900. Syndra is very much not long range.

Ahri, ziggs, orianna, cass, swain, diana you're wrong about. She can easily make them suffer if they try to farm, with different degrees of pain inflicted. Zed, brand, malz she's unlikely to kill, but she won't really lose against them. The rest she has a disadvantage. If she wasn't very strong things would be different, but that's not the case.

Not since she received the Q nerf she doesn't, she hasn't been viable since then. Also she can't poke before teamfights like actual long range mages, if she tries she'll just get caught and blow up.

Once she has her ult her kill range is increased enough that very few can actually survive the lane without getting one shotted. And before that she can easily kill you unless you decide that farm is not something you actually want.

: Jungle Main (plat+) needed at Proviga competitive 5v5 ranked team
IGN: GodKiller 999 Age: 21 Rank: D5 Main lane/lanes: Jungle, can do mid/supp to a certain degree mostly just rusty on both of those Main champions: Amumu, Malphite, Skarner, Udyr, Evelyn. In no particular order though my favourite by far is malphite. Strengths: I tend to have good decision making when it comes to objective and I manage my farming vs ganking well. Weaknesses: I usually do poorly when I fall behind. Willing to be a Substitute: Yeah wouldn't want to be a main player I'm unlikely to be home before 9pm PST time on weekdays, though I'm free on the weekends.

: Generally, we've observed that bans shorter than 2 weeks don't have a significant enough impact on the play patterns of the average player. Take for example a player who only plays on weekends - if this player gets 3 day banned on a Sunday, that's probably not going to be very significant to them.
True, but I feel that if you don't make it extremely clear that if they keep going they're gonna get a ban you'll see a lot of players who don't understand why they suddently got banned. Also I'd still add a 1 week ban between chat restrict and 2 week, it'd make things less insane between second and third offence.

Hi, I live in Laval (Canada/Quebec) and my provider is Distributel, since I heard they used the same infrastructure as Bell I thought Bell being added to the peering list would do the same as if Distributel was peered, but that doesn't seem to be the case since my friends (they're within the same area) have around 20 less ping. Also my ping becomes very unstable whenever my connexion gets used in any fashion and that didn't use to be an issue before the server was moved. Anyway can you check if you're not being peered to Distributel has an effect?

: The completion of Phase 2 will not specifically address the issue with IPv6 and League Client. The real issue is the platform that we use to build the PVP.net client (Adobe Air) doesn't like to work that well with IPv6. We are currently working to find the best solution to address this problem so that we can be somewhat future proof.
