: No LP gain from a top 3 placement in ranked play
Same here. My last 2 games was 1st place and second place.... no LP. One of the games was on Thursday. Plenty of time to update.
: Reginald has been buying ships from RIOT for years. Go back and look at games in which TSM we’re getting throttled, and then suddenly the enemy team starts making stupid choices and playing like idiots... this isn’t a conspiracy... it’s common knowledge and fact. Don’t let TSM get you down. We all know what they are up to. When Reginald can’t buy wins internationally, their true play always shines through.
So... you’re saying that since Regi is paying Riot that mid-game a team like C9 (that’s valued approx. $60 million more than TSM) all of a sudden decides to throw the game? I think you left your tinfoil jacket, pants, and shoes next to your hat.
: When is a good time to play rank?
: The Next Tristana Skin Is...
How disappointing.
: Can we rework Darius already?
Great. You just posted a spoiler for the next 3 champ releases. Thanks!
: Vayne is now at a 53% winrate 26% playrate 60% winrate on mains
So it’s a statistical anomaly that the 47% are always on my team? :P
: Banning accounts just makes more trolls.
No... poor parenting makes more trolls.
: Unpopular opinion: Sugar rush Tristana could actually be awesome
Popular opinion: Unpopular opinion threads are rarely unpopular.
: Lane dominance isnt murdering your opponent. If a tank gets ahead they should be able to basically ignore then enemy laner and would win the 1v1. They could zone hard or wave clear to tower and roam freely. But they shouldnt be able to kill then enemy laner 1v1 because they can see they are not gonna win and run away. What actually happens right now though when a tank gets ahead, is they chain cc and slow you giving you no hope of doing anything in lane again. Then later tower diving you 100-0 easily, barely getting scratched. Im talking going for 1 cs on your side of the lane and being burst and cc'd so hard that you cant make it back to turret b4 your dead in the 1v1.
But being chain CC’d is something tanks do. If you’re behind and you overextend in lane so a tank can chase you down, that’s your fault. As far as being dove, I can’t think of many tanks who can straight up dive if you aren’t already chunked down.
Verxint (NA)
: This is the problem, tanks that have bursty trading patterns. Maokai is an asshole, for sure, but when he kills you he's chasing you down and pounding you repeatedly across the lane. When he goes in to fight you, if he disengages instantly like he's a burst champion he doesn't do much damage. If he sticks around to do damage he exposes himself to your counterattack. Compare this to Sion who just zones you with his Q which chunks like hell and then trades with his shield before backing off because you're slowed.
Oh I completely agree about Sion. He is definitely overtuned right now and doesn’t have to sacrifice damage for tankiness. I’m saying that I don’t find it outrageous that tanks can 1v1 in the toplane if they are ahead. They shouldn’t be able to burst you down because that’s BS, but if you put yourself into a bad position when behind you should be opened up to punishment whether it is against a tank or not.
Blaxonec (EUNE)
: They are still playing and not banned.
Because Riot has a tough time distinguishing between bad game and trolling. *eyeroll*
: How Would You Propose to Make Any Percieved Unfair Champion More Fair
I would say that as a general rule when releasing/reworking champs to change their mindset. It seems to me like Riot says: let’s overtune this champ so that lots of people will buy it, play it, and make it popular. They should instead say: let’s make this champ/rework fun so that people want to play and enjoy it.
: which is what they do right now when they get behind. The problem is when ahead or even they out trade most melee champs because they are also durable and have defensive steroids. If you raise tanks defense and nerf their damage then tanks become the safe choice. A tank should never be solo killing someone top lane. Tank > poke > bruisers > scaling duelists > tanks Thats balance.
Wait, so if a champion is ahead then they aren’t allowed to have lane dominance? That seems dumb. They 100% should be allowed to kill the enemy top laner. They just shouldn’t be allowed to one-shot or burst them. They should be required to do it through extended trading instead of blowing them up.
Hadelek (EUNE)
: Riot, any plans for Zilean this year?
Sorry, Riot doesn’t have enough *time* for Zilean right now... I’ll show myself out.
: I found this comment and i agree with it on the vaevictis situation
Honestly I feel like it’s Riot’s fault, the team manager/owner’s fault, and also the players’ fault. Riot for allowing it. The team leadership for concocting this humiliating publicity stunt. And the players for agreeing to go along with it knowing full well they’d get stomped on. These were not 5 innocent girls being exploited. They wanted to be on a pro team as much as Riot wanted an all-female pro team.
: Support is fun, but we never get acknowledged for how much we actually do in a game. It's always the 20/0/0 Vayne that gets the praise even though the support is 1/0/24 or something. We never get noticed, and it makes me sad every time i play support and do really well.
I think a lot of it depends on if you play a “memorable” support or not. If you’re on Tahm and you save a few teammates with some perfectly timed gobbles, they remember that. If your top laner is getting 2v1 and you Soraka R and they hit a double kill, they remember that. But if your Braum shield is blocking an Ornn ult, it seems to go unnoticed.
Culinary (NA)
: If you wanted a champion(s) storyline to become a movie, which story would you want to see?
: Yes, they were ludicrously outclassed...but I really don't get why everyone's getting all butthurt over it. They literally memed that team. if you consider the pro-circuit as a job, and VS and ROX as workers in that job, it's a lot more clear. One was working poorly in comparison to the rest...but one was straight up unprofessional and violated work policies. They get what they get.

One was working poorly in comparison to the rest...but one was straight up unprofessional and violated work policies. > > They get what they get. Or you could envision them as 2 “professional” gaming organizations who get to play each other in a “competitive” match to see who is better. When you think about it that way... it’s not quite so hard to see why their top picks were banned and they were rekt. Looking at 2 competitors and likening them to co-workers is about the worst analogy I’ve ever heard of. Guess the Patriots and Rams were co-workers so they should have tried their hardest to help each other succeed! (Although watching the game it felt like that may have actually been the case.)

: So my question is this. **1.) Is banning 5 supports illegal (How does this violate summoners Code?)** **2.) Is there proof of them intentionally extending the game was it at their Nexus and they wanted to not destroy it but backed off?** **3.) What's wrong with them being an all female team if they choose to be so?** Didn't Riot Games kick all men except for Women, and Transgenders out of an entire panel at pax? Theres a difference between an all female team, and kicking people out of a event that should be open to all.

Banning 5 supports isn’t against the rules... unless you do it against a team with 4 support mains evidently. 2. Vega Squadron, not ROX, intentionally extended the match. I have no problem with them being disciplined as it was pretty classless. They would sit around not hitting towers even though they had a huge wave under it and were not being threatened and did so multiple times. They weren’t really trying to take objectives and were just rubbing salt in the wound. 3. There is nothing wrong with being an all female team. I believe the general consensus is that there is something wrong with being a grossly under qualified team and being considered a “pro”. The only reason they were given the opportunity is a lame publicity stunt so that they could field a team of 5 girls.

This is dumb logic. So by your standard you should only be allowed to ban 1 champion from each lane? So no more multiple bans targeting Rekkles or Caps because that’s BM right? You’re not expecting the enemy to pick 5 supports or 5 top laners or anything, but you can target specific players and remove their champ pool for an advantage.
: There is actually no point in wasting gold on control wards as a support
This sounds like dumb advice from a tilted player. Ward up while you can. Riot is slowly choking vision out of the game.

Oh sweetness. I was misinterpreting that. That’s not a bad thing at all then. Thank you for clarifying.
: If Kayle and Morgana are twins, why are their body shapes different?
: Patch 9.4 Notes
I am not a fan of the increased minion ghost on top and botlane on the first wave. It seems like you will have to cut leashes early to get to lane in time for full xp and gold. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it seems like it will make the early game junglers even stronger as they can finish first camp quickly whereas slower clear junglers are sitting there a while.
: I've seen some people suggest that in best of series champions could only be picked once. Even if they still pick the best champions it forces them to go deeper than just trading the top 2 picks back and forth.
But that leaves our current BO1 format unable to effectively do that. What I think would be kinda cool is for each team to have an individual champion bounty. For each week that a team doesn’t play a champion, that champion starts with an extra 50g. The first couple weeks would allow teams to set the meta, but after that they would have to decide between the established meta champs and immediate cash at the beginning of the game. Also, you could only pick them once, and then the bounty resets. It wouldn’t be anything crazy (by week 7 an I played champion would only start with an extra 300g) but I think it would push more champion diversity. But, it’s probably be too hard to implement, and I doubt Riot cares about adding things like this to pro play. Just a pipe dream.

I agree. As much as people complained about the insanity of summer split last season after their mid-season rework, at least you got champion diversity. This year it feels like there has been a total of 15 champs played across all leagues. Lame

(yes, attack range is a stat too).
Biggest on-hit abuser: {{champion:16}} Her AAs are so slow, she can throw a bunch of them during laning phase, then come late game sell all her support items, buy her on-hit items, and wait for them puppies to land.
