Lemexis (EUW)
: Well in real life you can treat the fact that someone is ignoring you as a social cue because if you at least a minimum of social intelligence you can read body language and facial expression, but in the game it doesn't work, especially if you can't read the person's face. Because like I say, the absence of a direct reply may mean many different things. Sorry for not explaining that to you before, I thought it was obvious.
It was obvious, I just didn't know there are people who can't figure it out in game easily enough
Lemexis (EUW)
: Well picking up the _absence_ of any social cue is a bit more time-consuming. I too can ignore what people say when I need to focus on what I'm doing right now, it doesn't mean that I want them to stop tallking. But yeah, I agree there are many others things Riot should be doing right now.
> [{quoted}](name=Lemexis,realm=EUW,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=byATf4zX,comment-id=0000000000000000,timestamp=2019-07-29T14:59:21.377+0000) > > Well picking up the _absence_ of any social cue is a bit more time-consuming I don't even
Lemexis (EUW)
: Well if they ignore me while not having disabled chat, I'll either use signals, or stop communicating with them altogether if they seem to really not care at all. But it will still greatly reduce the number of times I use the chat for nothing. And actually, most of the time people seem more than happy to have me communicate with them (especially if I'm a jungler telling them i'm coming to gank in X min, ofc). With so many people using the chat to be toxic, people seem glad I'm using it to actually help the team win the game. Now of course it won't bring my LoL experience to a whole new level. It's merely a little QoL change that would allow everybody to waste less time and energy.
I just think it's a waste of Riot resources when anyone capable of picking up simple social cues can make that determination for themselves.
Lemexis (EUW)
: Daily remainder that we need to know who has deactivated their chat
What happens if they don't have ally chat disabled, and they still don't respond/acknowledge you and ignore whatever you're trying to chat about? Seems redundant to add in a feature just to _tell you_ who's ignoring you with this feature, when there just as many people ignoring you without it. Riot can use the resources to help in other areas of the game, then try and shoehorn this in.
: why are people allergic to surrendering in ARAM?

: Riot's attitude towards feedback and criticism is pretty childish
The subreddit and the official boards are both echo chambers OP. The only real difference is the URL where you prefer to be down voted. If I were Riot, I'd honestly avoid both. You guys wished for this meta, and now that you got it, you were upset. Rather than blame yourselves, you projected all this toxic anger at Riot. Whatever relationship the boards had with them, it's pretty much withered. And yall still are trying to make it grow. : People asked for runes to be free, because having to individually buy them was unfair to the new players. Riot found a way to comply and twist it like a jackass genie, welcome... runes reforged with none of the unique customization of the rune and mastery system of old. It made the issues people had with TLD even more prominent. People asked for more skill expression, because being 100% reliant on your 0/14 Vayne isn't all that fun. Riot found a way to comply and twist it like a jackass genie, welcome... nightmares like Sylas, Akali, Irelia and Zoe with their broken kits and insane mobility. It made the issues with Old Akali and Irelia look tame by comparison. People asked for Eve to have more counterplay, because having her be invisible at game start where she can counter-jungle safely is not fun. Riot found a way to comply and twist it like a jackass genie, welcome... a 100% AP burst assassin without any of old Eve's unique variance. It made me cry when I made a thread begging them to let her keep her unique builds. People asked for more interesting objectives, because having a dragon that gave gold wasn't that interesting or unique. Riot found a way to comply and twist it like a jackass genie, welcome... RNG dragons with different game-changing buffs, from extra AP to extra sustain. It made the snowballing issue even worse, and everyone told them that it would. There's a trend here, my xenophobic friend: it looks to me that RIot's wanting to trick people into ignoring how they twisted the wishes of the community into something unrecognizable, unwanted and unwarranted. It seems like they want to cover their own asses by using the "oh, but you asked for it" excuse when... no, no-one here asked for TLD to be replaced by the much-stronger Electrocute, no-one asked for abominations like newRelia and newKali, no-one asked for Eve to lose all of the builds that made her unique & fun, and no-one asked for objectives that made the snowballing issue even worse than it already was. I remember back in the day people were complaining about how snowbally the game was, and how the moment the dragons were announced **_everyone_** was rightfully pissed and predicting how it'll make it an even bigger problem. They were right, Riot didn't listen.
I'm not xenophobic, but I appreciate the attempt. Maybe next time bud.

It wasn't an insult, I just suggested a game more suited for your demeanor. I don't respond to them- ever. But I do other small things to try and tilt them further. Take their farm, KS, lead enemies to them and escape. Act like I'm gonna back them up in a fight, then dip. Buy weird items to try weird builds, ping my items in chat so they see them. Ever seen a Leona with Righteous Glory, Ohmwrecker, and Manamune? If they go off the deep end, I report them, sometimes I get that neat little notifier saying action has been taken.

I think as long as you've only left less than 5% of the games you play every 3 or so months, its cool. I recently left my first game after 6 months, had an Ezreal who followed me from camp to camp steal my farm. I bounced after 3 minutes. Did I feel bad? Nope. Did I get punished? Nope. Did the other players suffer? Probably, it was a 30 minute long game where the Ez and his premade refused to surrender. If anyone is going to downvote me because I admit to leaving 2-3 times _a year_, you got problems.

: I propose a similar idea; there should be two separate ques for players that like to trash talk or flame and players that like friendly chat and dislike toxicity. One que has a strict IFS and the other has a lenient IFS. Separate the thick skins from the thin skins
They have that. It's called "Custom Games" and you can invite all the edgelord thicc skinz you want. Riot's not going to waste money catering to the verbose malcontent.

Muting people is entirely the choice of the individual player. If a player wants to mute someone, Riot has no say in whether they can or not. If that causes a break down in communication, it's still the players choice.

Popular champs get more skins because they sell better. Unpopular champs get less skins because they dont sell as well. If you want unpopular champions to get more skins, more people need to play them.
