Can you imagine if they actually made MR better? It's already basically impossible to kill an assassin who built {{item:3155}} Seriously though, MR is amazing. Anyone who thinks it's AP mages melting tanks clearly haven't played a game against an actual tank recently. 1 MR item and you're useless til lategame.

20% effective increase (200% to 240%), and yes that is how math works

I don't even believe anyone who complains about getting autofilled "all the time". I play mid, the most popular role at the moment, and even when I put Mid with Fill as my secondary I get Mid almost every game.

: I am going to disagree. Exhaust is good when there is only one big source of damage. That doesn't explain what's happening in bot lane with high damage mages proliferating the support role. It's also far easier to judge when an ignite will secure a kill than it is to figure out when an exhaust will deny a kill. Ignite also has a shorter cooldown, and can be used to deny healing for those annoying champs that have some ridiculous source of self healing. I used to run exhaust flash all the time early in the season, but I've switched over to ignite and I feel like I perform much better with it.

How are people supposed to have mana problems with her Q last hit mechanic? I am pretty sure Annie Bot knows what he's doing.
Annie could use a mana item _or_ Manaflow Band, or Shurelya's Reverie. Or water drake. Her mana costs are fairly high especially if you're trying to wave clear in midgame. There is no need for Tibbers autohits. That is not true at all, particularly early game or against anyone that has {{summoner:21}} or {{item:3155}} Maybe once you hit late game, once you are full build or close to it, or are already far ahead, sure. : You just complain about Yasuo like dumbass and never use your brain. He's just popular. Not op or shit. There are harder champions to cs against (Cassiopeia/Talon/Orianna) so you just don't know how to complain. Annie is underrated and she can literally R Q anyone to kill him. None complain about her and everyone thinks she's weak because none plays her. If we talk about any popular champion you'll find out that he's OP. What about champions like Anivia/Orianna/Annie/Azir/Karma/Xerath/Heimer...? None complains about them because they aren't popular as Yasuo/Zed/Talon.. So you just need to learn how to counter him in early game. You need to know how to play instead of crying all time. Its been many years of people complaining just about him just because he's popular and nothing else. If Yasuo is underrated like Annie none would cry about him.
Annie has almost no winning midlane matchups at the moment.

A lot of these characters scale very well but they will have a hard time with tanks early on. (Add Annie to the list too btw) Vel'koz most certainly cares about MR until he has enough AP to completely nuke with true damage, which again, will happen later in the game. That's the entire point. Most of these characters are going to get pooped on by tanks at 1-3 items. They can kill the tanks late in the game, but there is a reason full AP comps don't work very well.

There are very few mages that fit into those first two categories. AP DPS is pretty much... Ryze and Cassi? And for anti-tank - only other person who I can think of that doles out large chunks of %hp damage like Brand does is Malzahar. Once you get to late game, yeah, burst mages will wreck tanks then, but a full AP teamcomp will get steamrolled by them long before then. And mostly because this sentence: >tanks will kill you as slow as you kill them. is not true at all. Tanks will kill you MUCH faster than you kill them all through the early and mid game.

Half of it isn't even feedback it's just bitching. and when a rioter finally shows up and actually tries to interact they get blasted because the 48% winrate champ boards don't like is not getting gutted even further before they even notice that person works on lore and not balance. Reddit mods being inbred degenerates doesn't make this place any better. nor is it their only form of feedback. They still have comment sections on their anouncements/nexus articles, twitter, in game feedback systems, pro play & it's players, streamers who actually know how to play the game, etc... if you were hoping to have a discussion with some redditor white knighting for riot i'mma have to dissapoint you cuz i don't use it. I do suggest you don't talk too much shit about reddit or their moderation team, turns out our own mods don't quite like it when you do that.
There isn't any feedback worth a note going on at Reddit at all. It's the complete opposite of here. It doesn't seem like they respond to feedback anywhere I look. And the most important feedback I see isn't even balance concerns - it's calling Riot out on things like bugs and other poor design in the client with nothing done about it for years, and things along that line.
: half the shit on these boards looks like it came straight from scrubquotes. At this poijnt it's probably good they don't use this as their primary source of feedback.
So they use Reddit instead, because that is covered with posts about esports games, pro gamers and streamers, so that fills perfectly into their ideal worldview where they can ignore anything that is wrong with the game itself.

I don't think you read anything I actually said. I never said mages should one-shot tanks. I hate tanks, but it's not because they tank, it's because they do too much damage, like everything else right now. But I am pointing out this weird misconception everyone has that all the MPen makes tanks useless against mages. Sure, Void Staff seems better than AD equivalents, but most mages don't put out enough sustained damage to actually threaten a tank like most AD characters can.
: The Reason Tanks Aren't Played Often
Have you even tried to kill a tank as a mage, though? Even with all that pen it's practically impossible. Hell, even if the tank is just building HP/Armor, you can't kill them at all throughout the midgame, not until you're nearing your endgame build. On the flipside, most tanks will murder a squishy mage with their high base damage. Like, people cry about how mages can build all this pen, but the fact of the matter is that pen isn't enough to kill a tank in one rotation, and the mage will die while their spells are on cooldown as the tank engages and CCs them to death. If the tank builds even one MR item you can forget about killing them until late game.

They don't shut you down like Demons do. They counter tanky comps, but if you're running something squishy and high powered (blademasters, gunslinger, maybe even sorc) I'd bet you can destroy the voids a lot quicker than they destroy you. True damage certainly helps them a lot but Void champs in general are not really high damage characters as a baseline (except maybe Khazix).

Yordles can be countered by magic damage and items like {{item:3094}} or {{item:3033}}, for example. And since almost all units abilities are considered magic damage (_unless stated otherwise in their tooltip_) the counterplay margin is huge! You can adopt a new strategy. Diablo 2 has enemies with Thorns auras. Or that are immune to specific elements. What do you do if you can only deal damage of that certain kind? Find a friend or build differently and adopt a different strategy. Borderlands is all about shooting things in the head for major damage, but suddenly you face a creature that is heavily armored in the head and the weak spot is on its back. What do you do? Well, sure sucks if you're playing a dedicated sniper character, but other builds could deal with it a lot better. Cräfty (EUW)
: I don't care about how hard, or easy, it is to utilize Hextech units in your comps. What I care about is the fact that disabling items in this game, when items is what wins you games (_you can't win without items, no matter what comp you have_), is allowed. This is as stupid as, for example, Blizzard releasing a raid boss, in WoW, that has the mechanic to remove players' equipped items, during the fight. And let's not even talk about if he also disarms, silences and reduces the level of the players during the fight, as well. It's just a stupid concept and bad design, regardless of the game you implement these mechanics in. Negating and ruining player progress for no reason is unhealthy for the game and unfun to play against. It's unfair, period! It's simple logic!
You can apply that to many other comps. Demons are unfair, they ruin your progress because you can't use spells with them around. Yordles are unfair, they ruin your progress because you can't use physical attacks with them around. Glacials are unfair, they ruin your progress because you can't do anything because your'e stunned to death. Phantoms are unfair, they ruin your progress because they instantly delete one of your units. Everyone's already crying about Hextech and it's not even in the game. Personally it's just.. whatever? It's just another comp. It doesn't even feel that OP to me.
Cräfty (EUW)
: Riot's reasons for designing broken and OP stuff never cease to amaze me!
I actually think people are making a bigger deal out of this than it really is. If your opponent is going Hextech, they aren't going to also have whatever meta teamcomp is strong so easily. They are nullifying your items but they are giving up teamcomp bonuses of their own to do it. Okay, 4 Hextech shuts down your items for a long time, sure. But they won't also have 6 glacial, or 6 demon, or 6 blademaster. They won't have 4 gunslinger + 4 hextech until late in the game, and you'll have your own 6 demon/glacial/whatever comp to fight them with. You can add 2 hextech into your 6-comp later on, of course. But that likely means giving up a splash of 2 guardian or 2 phantom or something else like that. Stop acting like Hextech is just going to be free shit you can add on. There will be an opportunity cost.
: Lol they won't do it, I'm hoping they get enough blowback for this decision as well to backtrack on it like they are apparently doing for the legacy cursor. They're in it for the $$$.

: A shame Kayle didn't get the same treatment for her VGU. She's a massive downgrade on everything but a few splash arts.
I like how Kayle looks for the most part. Her regular splash looks wonky to me but I like her look in-game.

: I've noticed that the TFT is much less toxic.
No teammates to flame for losing, and RNG doesn't shout back at them when it gets blamed for everything.
: Change this "support" shit
What would you pick instead? You die instantly if you get hit by any kind of CC in botlane. Nami, Thresh, Blitz, Alistar, Leona, Nautilus, Pyke - any CC from any of them and you're dead. Welcome to one-shot meta, enjoy your stay, we're going to be here a while.

: Are you talking about getting less demons or having the same amount of demons and proccing less? Because in the former case you should have moved to a different build. In the latter case it was just an rng loss.
My favorite is that one guy who has the same unit comp as you but with more items and higher star units all around.
: If you don't get Draven, swerve to making Gangplank your carry and drop a single Gunslinger in for the 2GS bonus, GP is sleeper and can absolutely decimate an enemy team by himself as his barrels do true damage. I recommend Seraphs/RFC/Gunblade or PD for him.
My GPs always fail me so hard. Often his barrels just miss completely and that's when he manages to live long enough to detonate. Aatrox is a way better carry right now.
