: Why is nobody talking about: > Rare boxes contain: Spatulas, **full items**, gold, champions, or Neeko's Help It'd feel so terrible to be running a comp, and get a useless complete item instead of the two pieces themselves
I feel like getting SOME ITEMS of any sort is actually a nice improvement over the previous iteration where 1 player gets 13 items by Dragon, and someone else has 3.
: Still waiting for Star Guardian Urgot. If anything, make him an April Fools Definitely Not Urgot skin that looks just like a Star Guardian. {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}
I would pay for Star Guardian Urgot. Also, French Maid Warwick. Ez-Bake Oven Sion. Take my money Riot. Please.
: It doesn't really work like that. The skill of this game is pulling consistency out of rng, by being able to make a workable team under a huge variety of conditions. Less consistency in items and the like actually increases the room for skill expression, as now there are more situations that must be dealt with to perform well most of the time. What may be a bad item hand for say noble gunslinger, could be great for sorc yordels or something, and being able to recognize that is where the skill is.
But these changes fail to address one glaring issue in TFT, and that's the overall disparity in item distribution to begin with. Adding more items lends complexity to the use of items, but doesn't do anything to address the disadvantage it is to be that player with only one or two completed items against someone who has amassed seven. I would like to see Riot study and address the effect of the item discrepancy on win rates. If you can reliably correlate having the most items by certain milestones in the game with finishing in the top 3, that is evidence of a clear (and likely insurmountable) advantage. My observations seem to indicate this correlation is highly likely to exist, but data is required to prove it. Of course it also makes it difficult to establish sound stats when about 25% of the games include someone who is intentionally shilling (losing) to boost a teammate. It's really annoying to see people with 7 items on their sideboard and 50+ gold economy, just afking their way to 8th place.

Personally I'm always more perplexed by people who appear to have never bought a champion on their bench that they didn't end up leveling to 3 stars. I've seen this multiple times. Someone ONLY has Dariuses and Poppy and Garen on their bench from the start of the game and then magically end up with 3 star sejuani and 3 star kayle within three rounds. That's really "lucky" ... if you pick a comp from the very start and you got all the pieces and never had to buy anything extra to contemplate more than 1 build path and it ALL worked out for you perfectly.
: So we getting at least 1 new gunslinger - 1 new brawler - 1 new Shapeshifter - potentially 3 more blademasters ? Or are you making more items to let people transform into those classes ?
Or they are encouraging the use of spatula for something other than building Force of Nature all the time.

: Is it a bug that in an assasin vs assasin match, one comp doesn't jump? I have this trouble few days ago and was trash that my assasins stayed moveless :/
Or that somehow in a face off of two same level Blitzcranks, sometimes they simultaneously pull eachother and trade places, and sometimes one gets pulled, leaving the other to not get a pull. Not sure how to sort out the minute timing advantage that apparently occurs in some matches.

: Bug deletes runes, clears skins, and changes settings
I had the same thing happen. All my custom rune pages got wiped. All my preselected skins for champions got set back to the default, and it appears I no longer have an honor flare in the loading screen, even though I've been getting plenty of honors back to back.
: excuse me but in year review is busted?
My timeline shows I got a pentakill in December, but then my stat table says 0 pentakills for the year. D:

: Very disappointed with my year in review, it was very inaccurate
My timeline says I got a Pentakill as Teemo on December 11th, which I of course remember, since it was only a month ago. The table of statistics says I had "0" Pentakills. Clearly that is incorrect. And it makes me a little sad.

: your year in review is up
So... there is an obvious bug/issue with my Year in Review. My timeline shows I got a pentakill as Teemo on December 11th. But my stat table farther down says "0" for my pentakill number. Clearly that is wrong, and it makes me a little sad. Something to look into for next year to make sure the stat code generation is working properly?
: Riot when it comes to skins
Personally, I think the skin is fine for what it is. My issue is more with the name and the timing of the drop. Seriously... "Gun Goddess" Miss Fortune? It just feels like a particularly tone deaf moment to release a skin that *literally* glorifies guns. Couldn't wait a couple of months to roll in the money? Or maybe rename the skin so it's more about her tech or the thematic elements and less about the MuthaFukkin guns. One suggestion... Mecha Miss Fortune. Suits the skin fine and fits her into a current skin theme. GG.
: Guess what is already confirmed (too lazy to find sauce) for the AP item pass?
But what sense is there in taking items OUT of the game, thereby creating less options... if in the end you plan on putting them back? Seems like Rito just loves collecting data, irregardless of how it impacts the player experience. It feels like they are dumbing down the game considerably. "Hey, if you're a support you NEED to buy a sightstone!" I rather enjoy being the support who willingly buys one and then gets to strategically use spooky ghosts. They already had paths that allowed sightstone to reside within a support item. This is a step backwards in terms of giving players options. I can't speak for everyone, BUT If I *wanted* to play Heroes of the Storm, I would. Please don't make League MORE like HOTS.
: Sight stone ward
Happened to me last night in a game. Had to sell and rebuy the sight stone to get it to work... of course I didn't notice my sight stone didn't recharge until I was out on the map trying to ward something. #feelsbadman
: Inventory Sight Stone ERROR
This happened to me last night in a game, I was playing either Morgana or Karma. Can't remember which game exactly without pulling up the replay.

: Sight stone wards didn't restok after visiting the shop
This happened to me in a game last night too. I had already left the fountain by the time I noticed and was off on the map trying to ward an objective. (much sadness)

: Your main point correctly describes the Activation mechanism. I am upset because I believe the hextech crafting section does not explicitly say that the shard is sacrificed when activated. You don't show me where it is explicitly stated or even inferred. I give three possible scenarios where I think it could say it it could be explicitly stated. Tutorial (i mentioned elsewhere), pop up warning, or an adjusted explanation. You very strongly argue for what is, but I feel you fail to provide good back up examples, or counter/address my examples. Although, I don't expect you to spend the time coming up with a well constructed argument, just like I didn't want to do extra research on how the Activation function works when it should have explicitly told me. The reason I'm putting all of this extra effort in is because I want the skin and because I want to be a satisfied customer. Any company in the business of customer satisfaction would help me, at least until their new system is well established. Call me stupid and say I'm at fault, which I agree that I partially am, but I would also argue that the method of communication was at fault. I look forward to seeing how Riot handles this, as they will have more data and insight then either you or me. It is unfortunate that anyone voicing their concerns publically, is probably less willing to do so because people will inevitably call them stupid. Imagine how many people that play this game use english as a second language, or how many are younger kids or experience dyslexia or something. I think riot has a mission to make their system communicate as clearly as possible, and accommodate the customer when it fails to do so. Thank you for responding to me at all though. I appreciate the effort you have put into the conversation.
I did the same thing just yesterday with Urf Rider Corki. I put in a ticket to see if they could reverse my rental. No dice. I think at the very least Riot needs to consider making it more CLEAR (Isn't clarity one of the big design goals these days?) that "rental" means you DESTROY the shard in order to rent the skin for 7 days. I am a smart person with pretty good reading comprehension... nothing in the current UI made it OBVIOUS that the rental removes your ability to unlock the skin with essence after the rental is up. Renting gets a one line mention at best in the current Hextech Crafting FAQ... there is no explanation of the permanence of that choice in the FAQ either. To me, the way the rental feature currently works is counter-intuitive and makes no sense from a "value" perspective. Why would you want to rent a skin for a week, when instead you could use it to unlock something permanent that you actually want? I think the assumption that the rental is "temporary" and you get the shard back at the end of the period is far more prevalent than Riot expected/anticipated... but definitely something they should address... either by changing "rental" to what is intuitive, or updating the Hextech UI to make the function more clear. Personally, I am heartbroken that I "threw away" Urf Rider Corki. I honestly thought I could just try it out this week, and would still have the option to craft it into permanent once I rounded up the remaining 200 Essence I needed. :( Much regret. Much sadness. Rito, please keep other people from knowing this sadness.

: At what point is it appropriate to tell someone how they should be having fun? Do you tell that younger sibling, "Your having fun all wrong you should have fun like this!" It doesn't matter if you say it politely, it's just wrong to push your opinion on someone who is playing a game for fun. I don't understand why people need to win at a game or play "correctly" in order to have fun. Just play the game how you want to play it, with a new set of people everytime. The moment someone thinks its appropriate to give advice in order to win, it ruins the entire experience. If your playing SR, you should be mature enough to look at a "bad" player and not feel prompt to say something. And instead understand this person is having fun just hitting some skills and making a play every once in a while. I don't tell a baby or child how to play with their toys, I just feel happy that they're playing and having fun. So maybe you should ask a player "are you having fun, playing the way your playing?" and if they say "yes", then keep playing. If they say "No" then offer some advice.
There was a post from Riot awhile back explaining something like 3 or 5 elements of gameplay that keep people playing League. Surely Fun/Entertainment was one, but another was MASTERY. I guess you may be right that some people enjoy trolling or throwing themselves and their ignorance of character builds into a match and seeing how it all shakes out... but I would suspect the majority of people playing WOULD like to play their best most of the time and WOULD like to gain mastery over time. Part of Mastery in League is gaining knowledge... and it is often easier to get the knowledge through someone telling you than reading 200 wikis or watching videos. Id rather someone give me a tip than struggle through missing out on a pretty important note on my character's passive or scaling. *shrug* Guess thats not the case for everyone though.
: Well, having been on both sides of this situation at one point or another, I will say there is a monumental difference between saying, "Their whole team is AP, build some MR and we win" versus, "You should refund your skin, idiot." If you let your frustration push you into name calling and swearing at someone, then whatever tidbit of valuable advice you may have offered is lost on deaf ears. No one wants to listen to a jerk, thats just human nature. Likewise, being a female playing League... the tone of comments is often needlessly condescending. HINT, most of us prefer it if you don't add "Sweetheart" or "Darling" to your remarks. ;) I have seen people who are otherwise helpful and courteous to their friends say rude things like, "You need to refund that skin" to the random in queue. That sort of comment is not constructive, its just toxic. One way to test if your comment is appropriate... Consider if instead of a stranger, you were talking to a younger sibling or cousin in front of your parents. Would the comment be well received in that setting? If not, then why would you feel it is acceptable to say to someone else's family member. We are all part of the human race, and we all are worthy of a basic level of consideration and respect. That should take precedence over the importance of a game.
I think Riot also could go a little farther in helping foster a more respectful environment by being a little more critical of approving name changes and forcing name changes on accounts that have clearly offensive implications. There are plenty of players you know from the start probably have a bad attitude and no respect based just on their player name. Its pretty sad.
: The key is to follow {{champion:86}}'s example. Anytime you get mad, just scream "I WILL NOT FALTER!"
