Hi Meddler, with regards to the urgot change, I look forward to testing it, but I have some initial concerns/comments, 1) I am not particularly excited with a shield on e for three possible reasons. First, if it is an instant cast shield, you don't get much out of it due to the cast time of the dash and the interruptiblity of the dash. Second, if it isn't an instant cast shield, then it isn't an instant cast shield and that will hurt his survivability (due to long cast time) like it did with ornn. Lastly, I think putting a shield on e is overloading the spell (it should not be his bread and butter spell) because it will have a dash, shield, damage, displacement, and stun. In general I just think it will feel bad to play because it limits playstyle. 2) if you want to encourage a more ad build, would it be possible to scale his dash range with bonus ad or something like that? 3) I think that the ult change is pointless and a waste of his power budget because the current range is fine. 4) I read the tweet from riot repotior and one change I did like was the w on hit changes.

I like the item changes listed except for the spear of shojin. Personally I just prefer the Nexus blitz version of that item because it is more usable of a wider variety of champions. The passive and stats just make it Excel on the same champs that use the current essence reaver passive. In my opinion, if you want to keep that passive, just make a different item for it.

Champions counter pick other champions generally and does not guarantee a win, it just gives an advantage. You don't have to counter pick to beat illaoi. Her slow is not massive at all. Especially if you walk away from the soul. There is no real reason to be hit by tentacles causes by E I you walk away. Her ult doesn't heal her, the tentacles do. It is not a matter of viability or not, it is smarter to just walk away. That is like saying it is smart to try to fight rumble while standing in his ult. Illaoi is much weaker than she was when I responded to this post btw.

It seems that you just don't like her E because it blocks CC. Thematically it does make sense. It is a black magic shield that blocks spells. Like kayle, it is Morgan's divine intervention. She her power to block all spells. Something like that could only be accomplished by a divine being. The post stated that her w and passive were subject to change. Her R isn't the greatest but it is unique in terms of ability activation and effect. Her R is something that won't be as useful every game. The concept of the shackles should stay, but I agree the execution should have more synergy with her new kit. Q in general is fine and it is morgana s most iconic ability. I just have to point out that she does not rely on her E. She isn't a shield bot. She is a mage support not an enchanter. She contributes through cc and damage.

Based on the ranked listing. Not everyone plays ranked. I do my placements then stop, but I still play the game for fun. It doesn't mean someone can't have a say on a champion that they play outside ranked.

: You only listed champions _with_ shields. Like I said, the shield isn't an essential part of their kits. If you'd like, I can break down one by one why each of those you listed. Although, you mentioned Mundo being a bad design. Likewise, Mordekaiser being based around his shield is also bad design. My point was that most champions with a personal shield wouldn't be crippled from not having it in their kits, they're merely buffed above their peers by having one at all-- since for every single case, the shields are on top of other abilities, not solely shields. But I'll name a few who definitely should have counters to their shield because it adds more than need be, and/or in prevents them from buffing the actual core abilities of the champions because they have that defensive capability. {{champion:92}} Often bursts down her targets without needing the shield, or pokes without worry because she has a shield on a dash. {{champion:6}} Will also often kill his opponent without much damage to the shield. It's just more defense than he needs. {{champion:268}} Had his knockup removed, while they opted to keep the shield that all but requires you to intentionally position incorrectly to use it. {{champion:14}} Rarely ever gets to use the damage aspect of his W on an opponent because it can't be cast if the shield pops. {{champion:13}} While his shield isn't the main issue behind his 'unfair for 99% of players' nerfs, it is a contributing factor. While it's a cool concept to give him a shield when using his abilities in a different order, it prevents them from putting any power into his abilities because it would conflict with the overwhelming (if used in master or challenger) strength of his ultimate. {{champion:78}} Who, as we see, received unfair nerfs to her W's armor and MR steroid despite not actually performing better than average. Giving us an option to cut down on their shielding would both grant more room for playing better against them, and give Riot room to buff them if they're struggling, for those who play them. It's a win-win-win situation, including removing the need for enchanters to be nerfed.
I think you underestimate how important the self shields in their kit works with the champion overall. I main Urgot and Sion. They would be horrible without their own shields. The only way to compensate would be to add more damage and tankiness to their base stats and abilities. Urgot and Sion would struggle with trading if not for their shields, and one of the best things to do with Sion is to use his shield to both clear minions you have gotten low while damaging enemies. He has a whole e q w w combo. If Urgot didn't have a shield, when he tries to fight anyone he will just die. Poppy shield is her way to trade Riven shield gives her the survivability to burst and dive, and the same goes with azir Ryze is just a mess he doesn't need a shield.

: I'd say, wtf is up with thinking it's any better to have no way of countering a champion with their own shield? It's actually worse for them to have no counters than it is to just nerf enchanters, since enchanters' _main_ purpose is to protect allies. Hurting them while letting champions with AD scaling shields or shields with innate lifesteal on top remain without a counter is ridiculous.
Self shielders( and people with shileds on ultimates) kits are based and balanced around self shields as solo laners (enchanters are balanced based on the fact that they enhance another). In order to work properly as independent champions, their shields are important in how they function. Enchanters shields are an addition to another champion. A champion being shielded doesn't need a shield to work well. The difference between gw and an anti shield item is that shielding doesn't give sustain, it allows you to survive longer. Get is important to have as an item but their are issues with it because some kits are based on healing. Mundo for example, he is balanced around get because it is expected to be bought against him. Making an anti shielding item will require self shielders to be rebalanced similarly in response to shielding items. This whole point was talking about how self shielders have no counter. They do have counters, and their shield isn't the problem Getting back to enchanters, the nerfs on them were bad due to item nerfs. What this patch gives is counter play to spam shields because champs that get these shields don't need the shields to function independently. Neither of the nerfs solves the core issues with enchanters though.

Introducing an item that gives those shield damaging passive is not a good idea because it just trickles down to 'build this item of there are any shields' which hurts more champions than just enchanters. so nerfing enchanter shield duration to reduce shield spam was the best possible outcome, but nefing shield items additionally just was not needed. The items part is what had nothing to do with your point but I added it because it was relevant to this patch. If they just nerfed shield duration, shield spam would have been solved.

Nerfing duration was probably the best nerf to give. Nerfing shielding items was not however.

Isn't that what is already existed with two teams waiting around baron and starting baron when the enemy team has been killed or on low health? 1)Don't stick close together to your Ally 2) take ignite 3)if he targets you with a crow or a crow bounces on you, walk away from minions and allies and position yourself in a spot where you can walk away quickly I play fiddle supposed and play against it. Against it, I have had luck with heavy pokers and sustainers like Sona and soraka. They can heal off his crows while getting in a strong attack causing him to waste Mana on his heal or use pots. For adc's auto attacking adc's can't punish well if he walks up, caster adcs and Cait punish him well for walking to e a wave.

If you don't read the terms of service that is your own fault. It isn't hidden anywhere it plainly states that you don't own the skins or champions,they are unlocked to use. Also not following the player behavior is your own fault. It isn't hard really.
: Juggs want to build AD but also not get deleted. It's annoying that juggs have to build tank items and 1 or 2 AD item/s. This item allows to tank a chunk of damage (less than Stoneplate) while still allowing you to go for dmg purchases and deal dmg (unlike Stoneplate that reduces it).
jugguarnauts are doing fine and do not need this item. The item offers way to much and it will work 100% better on divers than jugguarnauts because divers have a way of getting into the middle of a team way easier.

I really like these changes, my only comment is that something needs to be a substitute for warmogs. Warmogs removal is fine but something needs to take its place so that people can deal with heavy poke.

The second one looks more like a support syle item even though it is more expensive so it is fine by me The first one seems way too strong. It doesn't need to refresh and divers don't need more help. They are fine. An attack gain being around multiple champions is good, but the damage reduction is not. If you want the damage reduction, buy stoneplate.

It would be nice if support items cost were raised to match their value, but the support gold income item gave the same amount of gold that their lane partners got from farming. Some supports do need more skill expression, but I don't think nerfing their shields duration or adding delays would accomplish that(being able to shield quickly before q squishy is 1 shot does require some skill, and nerfing duration hurts the support in that burst champions cooldown are already low). Some more point and click enchanters just need a little more interactivity in their kit.
