: Update, now the League of Legends.exe deleted itself, and does so every time I try to extract it. I managed to fix it before(that is, somehow keep it from deleting itself), but now it's doing it again and I can't seem to figure it out. Is anyone else having this issue?
Hey there, I responded in your other thread but I'll repeat it here so that others can see it, as well. Sounds to me like anti-virus software is removing the file. In any case, now that 8.13 is live, the files we provided will no longer work. We've removed them from the known issues thread. An updated version of the anti-cheat that contains all of our fixes should be deployed via the client today.

: Unable to load game. After character select game fails to load and reconnect does nothing. https://www.dropbox.com/s/41gzw1cvi50li1h/LeagueClientUxRender.DMP?dl=0
Thanks for the dump. Unfortunately, this is for LeagueClientUxRender.exe. We'd need to look at a dump of League of Legends.exe. Would you be able to provide that instead? Thank you!
: Here's my dump file; as with the majority, I crash after champ select and get bugsplatted or reconnect loop. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JAYZx1-UTuelPRd4XKxBpjKJdx9Eg4un/view?usp=sharing
Thanks for the report! Unfortunately, this dump is for LeagueClient.exe. Could you provide us with the dump for League of Legends.exe? Thank you!
: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13L-nWy0VuEK8cLEcnMEMx0mtbGyFVR0s After champion select, the game won't load me in; it leaves me at the client with a button that reads "reconnect." When I click the button, it briefly says "game is still in progress" and then the button reappears. Pressing it essentially does nothing. I have followed all the steps in the post to no avail. Thanks!
Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, the dump you gave is for LeagueClient.exe. We're looking for League of Legends.exe. Would you be able to get that dump? I definitely want to help you get this sorted out.
: Nothing about working with the Virtual Environment software companies to make it compatible with your new anti-cheat? Everyone that was playing on WINE/VMware etc will now have to quit the game (including me) Seems fair after how much all of us Linux users have spent on your game. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}
We appreciate all the feedback we've received so far on this issue. We want to give affected players some context on the situation. Virtual machine usage comprises a fraction of a percent of League of Legends players globally. The overwhelming majority of these are bots. Furthermore, virtual machines expose highly sophisticated tools for developers to debug, analyze, and reverse engineer software. This is by design as VMs are typically an important part of operating system development. Game hackers can leverage these powerful tools to circumvent our anti-cheat technology, undermining the competitive experience for all legitimate players. We recognize that there is a passionate, dedicated base of players that have worked to ensure they can enjoy League of Legends on unsupported operating systems. With that in mind, we've decided to restore virtualization functionality in today's patch to folks who are using GPU pass-through technology to play the game in a virtual machine. However, we must be clear: we maintain our decision to **disallow all other types of virtualization**. We've decided to consciously allow this single use case and not others as it strikes a fine balance between security and functionality. For players using Wine, the community is already at work fixing incompatibilities with our changes. These changes were live on our Public Beta Environment for several months to give developers of third-party applications time to adapt. As a normal part of software development, especially with such comprehensive changes, there can be issues introduced with third party applications. We have not consciously prevented the use of Wine for playing the game, and we ask for your patience as the Wine community remedies any incompatibilities.

: Finally got the client back to work. My problem was that can't load into game after champ selection, and now I know it's caused by 'Huorong Security', a HIPS/Anti-virus software. I can load the game without any issue if I turn off Huorong, otherwise will see reconnect loop. On the system task manager view, I can see the game process started normally with huorong off, but when huorong is on, the game process will end once it gets executed. Still not clear is the game process terminated by huorong, or closed by the anti-cheat function due to the detection of huorong. But I guess the anti-cheat function must need some deep system control action, like kernel, driver or hooks, so there may be conflicts with some HIPS/Anti-virus software like huorong. So far, I haven't found a real solution yet, what I have to do is just to turn off huorong during game time. For players who also have this issue, if all otehr fixes don't work, try to disable all HIPS/Security/Anti-virus software first and then load the game, this may help. I also found a post talking about this issue on huorong official support forum, if you want to read it, it's in Chinese: http://bbs.huorong.cn/thread-47326-1-1.html Rioters, if you need more information, please let me know. Hopefully the issue can be fixed ASAP. # Update 20180602: 1. The latest game client files solved the problem! I downloaded the latest client file (deploy_39ab702.zip) and replaced those on my computer, now I can load the game successfully without turning off Huorong! 2. Huorong Support Team also identified the issue and they said next update (very soon) will solve the conflicts: http://bbs.huorong.cn/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&pid=245299&ptid=47476
Thanks very much for your detailed report! I will add this to the original post while we look into the root cause.

None of these fixes have worked for me. i'm still on the reconnect loop.. i also am unable to create a dump file, because the "league of legends.exe" closes too soon for me to create one
Did you take a look at disabling kernel debugging features, specifically? It's listed under **Common Fixes** and would produce the behavior you're describing. Aside from that, could you give me an idea of what anti-virus, firewall, or other security software is running on your machine?

: Can't connect to games since latest patch presumably the anti-cheat stuff talked about here; what's going on? I'm not using any 3rd party software except razer synapse. Even when I disable that still can't connect to games after champ select.
What happens when you try to connect? Do you get a black screen, or do you get an error message? We'd really appreciate it if you could get us a dump file so that we could take a look at the issue. If you open Task Manager, right-click on the League of Legends process, and select Create Dump File, it will create the file we need. Once you have a dump file from the League of Legends process, please upload it to a file sharing website such as [Dropbox](http://www.dropbox.com) or [Google Drive](http://drive.google.com) so that we can take a look at it.

: I can't log in. "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated" I guess it's likely due to my anti-virus/anti-malware, but I'm not sure how to turn those off. I made it far enough to queue in for a game, but then the game wouldn't load. About 15-20 minutes later I was taken to the post-game screen, my team lost (4v5, since I couldn't join), and I was labeled as a "Leaver". I don't know how to fix this, and I don't want to leave teammates 4v5, or possibly get into a game and have one of my teammates not be able to join and then I would be stuck 4v5. I submitted the dump for one of the critical errors. Hope this can be fixed soon because I can't play the game if I can't play the game. I'll try back in a few days I guess.
Hi there, where did you submit the dump file? If you post it in this thread we will be able to get to it faster. Just upload it to a file sharing website like [Dropbox](http://www.dropbox.com) or [Google Drive](http://drive.google.com).

: I am not running any programs but Catalyst Control Center and my mouse program and I STILL CANNOT CONNECT TO THE GAME, PLEASE HELP ME! Closing all my programs did not work! I'm only running the basics! I really want to play, but it's not letting me! I can't even run Hextech Repair Tool!

: Every game my game freezing for like a half a second or so. I don't remember how many times it happens, not very often, but it's super annoying when it does. I guess if it's just the anti-cheat tool scanning us it isn't that big of a deal, but I wonder if you can't just pause the game for everyone when you do it.
Out of curiosity, do you know about when in the game this happens? A few minutes in? Late game? Or does it seem to be completely random?

: i was told to comment and leave my system summary here. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/RLz2X36q-clientserver please let me know what i can do to fix this problem, i keep going through champ select fine but as soon as the game goes into loading my screen stays black and the client wouldn't respond. I had no issue playing league yesterday but all of a sudden it didn't work.
When the game is stuck at a black screen, can you open Task Manager, right-click on the League of Legends process, and select Create Dump File? That will generate a file that will help us diagnose the problem. Once you have a dump file from the League of Legends process, please upload it to a file sharing website such as [Dropbox](http://www.dropbox.com) or [Google Drive](http://drive.google.com) so that we can take a look at it.

: So this is the reason why I cannot load after champion select and crash every time I try to load even it was just spectate or a custom Client fix isn't working at all problem still stands and now I see this. aright, I quit my steam, my discord closed almost all the programs. and I still cannot load the game. feel like I am forced to quit the game now.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting in game. Does your game client give you an error message or does it simply close? If you get an error that suggests generating a dump file, please allow it to create the dump file so you can provide that to us. If you don't get an error, you can open Task Manager, right-click on the League of Legends process, and select Create Dump File. Once you have a dump file from the League of Legends process, please upload it to a file sharing website such as [Dropbox](http://www.dropbox.com) or [Google Drive](http://drive.google.com) so that we can access it and take a look at what might be causing your issue.
: Will this affect people playing on Linux using wine?
We've not specifically tested for compatibility with Wine or other Windows emulation or virtualization software. Because of the complex nature of our protection and the many variations of software out there, we can't change our solution to be compatible with all of them. However, we are open to working with any software vendor that wants to make their software compatible.
