It's more like 26 mins (since it will arrive 5 mins after the 4th dragon is killed, and assuming a dragon takes at least 15s to kill each time), but in that case, a team is likely stomping and the Elder is the least of your problems!

There's no counterplay and when 2 dark harvest champs meet late game it's usually the first to land a basic attack that wins. We tried several designs internally before settling on the execute model (DoTs, souls turning into adaptive, damage being lower but AoE etc). The execute version feels fairer, as players have that first 50% of their health bar to react to you, receive some form of shield or to flash away. It's now far more broad, too, with any ability damage or basic stacks about to proc the keystone. We also spent time cleaning up some of the less consistent aspects of live dark harvest, such as the fact you can use it on towers, you get as much power from your allies dying as your enemies, the tendency to drive players to PvE more than is necessary and the frustratingly low early buff window. It behaves much more like a regular keystone, but with some fun twists (cooldown reset on takedown, for that Katarina team fight cleanup!). The new rune can only be stacked through PvP combat, which is where league really shines.

Whilst I do like the idea of lethality and magic pen existing as a pre-game option, we have to keep in mind that for a large number of our players, knowing when to choose between AP and Mpen is a pretty complex (or impossible) choice. Lethality is still on the table. Anything can change between now and when pre-season drops. :)

There's far too many runes in this tree that increase MS already, another is completely unneeded. With this rune it's entirely possible to just take effects that boost MS for the whole tree, does that seem like what Sorcery should be about to anyone?

The original Unsealed Spellbook (USB for short) was designed to allow players to really shake-up their Summoner Spell strategy throughout a game of League, choosing the right spells for the right moment. The fantasy was that players could swap to _Smite_ to contest a close Baron fight, or to _Ignite_ when the enemy Soraka is becoming too hot to handle. However, after taking a long look at the USB on Live, we found that the fantasy was not the reality, and that the primary incentive for taking the Rune was the passive 15% cooldown reduction on Summoner Spells. Essentially, players just wanted _Flash_ more often (with the occasional swap to _Teleport_ to keep enemy lanes on their toes for a portion of the game). We wanted the primary swapping mechanic to be the only focus for the USB redesign, so we dropped the cooldown reduction entirely. This meant that we'd have to make the swapping mechanic far more lucrative to ensure the Rune still functioned as an exciting and viable Keystone choice. Where USB V1 required players to successfully predict where the game might be going in the next several _minutes_, V2 now only asks that players think ahead to very near future. V2 enables players to swap to _Ghost_ as they roam down from mid-lane to bot, or for a solo laner to burn both theirs and their enemy's Summoner Spells in an intense trade, only to have access to a 3rd Summoner a few seconds later (without even having to back and lose lane pressure). It even allows Summoner Spell dependent Marksmen like Varus to have extra safety in lane at the expense of an offensive Keystone choice from another Path. Another great aspect of USB V2 that we perhaps haven't explained well enough to our players is that your original Summoner Spells continue to cooldown 'in the background' when you've swapped to a new Summoner Spell. It's common to swap out a Summoner Spell that's currently on cooldown and have it be back up by the time you've used your new, swapped in Summoner Spell. Swapping needed to feel both strategically powerful and intellectually satisfying, and I believe this new incarnation of the Rune is stronger that the Live version in these elements. Finally, to answer your question about other 'retired' Summoner Spells finding a home in USB; the Rune is engineered to be flexible, so we can absolutely add more Summoner Spells if required. As always, we'll be evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each new addition to the Rune on a case by case basis, but it's possible you'll see more Spells added to the Unsealed Spellbook at some point in the future.

I can confirm I not work in PR or Communications for Riot. I don't actually expect you to trust me (I'm a stranger on the internet, afterall!), but I will always say what I think is true on these boards. Maybe over time you'll trust me, maybe not. But, until a month ago I was a player of League just like the other members of these boards and red posts did a lot to ease my concerns or answer my questions. Even if I can't convince _posters _that we're listening to you, maybe I'll still have a positive impact on the quiet lurkers who read boards. To me that's still valuable.

There are a lot of great features that players really need that rito doesn't implement because of their bottom line. E.g. refunds for skins. You get 3 in the lifetime of your account. So for players like me that's years. Rito should offer unlimited refunds for any champions/skin that was purchased but never used. And they should give 1 extra refund a season. Account transfers to different regions should be purchasable with blue essence. Instead of just RP. You can't argue that a lot of the features inherent in league of legends are designed to make players experience tedious enough that they make purchases, such as buying champions, runepages and back in the day runes. Now don't get me wrong. I think riot are awesome compared to other companies in terms of trying to make a buck off you. But lets not pretend there is no group of people in riot who's entire job it is to try and get players to spend money.

You might be surprised to learn that in most of my design jobs in the industry, designers have always had monetisation in mind when designing a core feature set (even if it's only 10% of your thinking, you'd be encouraged to at least keep it in mind). I wasn't here when Runes reforged began (or even shipped) but I can assure you that they were a change for the better in League that also hurt Riot's revenues at the same time (people don't have to spend BE on Runes anymore, so spend it on Champs instead = less Champ sales). That's super inspiring to me!

I have had staff who ignore me when I have a series question. I have had staff that want to wist my words .
