The store is currently unavailable due to some new issues popping up. We're working on getting these resolved ASAP.

: Please introduce at least Normal Draft in near future
Hey TheEdgeOfDestiny! So a couple of things: Are you using the PBE alpha client or live? If you're on live, the experience shouldn't be any different than using the legacy client. I wonder if there's potentially a bug that's affecting your experience. What kind of queue times are you experiencing? We totally hear your feedback and are actually in the process of opening the gates (so to speak) starting today to include many more players in preparation for testing draft functionality. Thanks!

: As cool as that idea is, is there any chance that a Rioter is also a marriage officiant???
FWIW I don't think it's very difficult to be "ordained", as it were, to officiate nuptials. I've heard of several instances of friends getting an online ordination in order to perform ceremonies for their good friends, etc. Actually, I'm pretty sure that The Rock officiated a wedding for a ~~super fan~~ good friend of his not too long ago... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-B7UJtvlLM

: But Zirene and Meddler do their best to add in "but we are doing better" to try and cover it up a bit.
As someone who was there for the recording, I don't take it as trying to cover it up, but rather as expressing a different opinion. Designers have differing opinions and disagreements. It's all part of the process :).

: Is the TL;DR of this podcast "_We think the game balance is fine as it is_"?
Noksterz (NA)
: So annoying to listen to zirene. He can only talk about game balance from an epsorts perspective. The majority of the community doesnt care about the LCS. Its insanely boring. They play an entirely different game than the rest of us play. Only being able to talk from one perspective makes you a bad candidate for talking about game balance. This game isnt as screwed up as it was in the early part of the season but theres still way too many things wrong. I used to play league everyday before season 6, now i play maybe once a week and its mostly aram lol They have totally botched this game up
Hey Noksterz, First off, thanks for that bit of feedback and I'll be sure to pass it along to Zirene for the next iteration of this podcast. I think it's important to acknowledge the fact that Aidan is extremely knowledgeable about the game. That being said, I know for a fact that he wanted to improve how he engaged in this conversation and will strive to do so for the next time we record one of these episodes. Thanks!
: Oh, Im sorry, do you not like my ZZ'rot Sion top? well, I dont like how thats my only option against mobile champions, because you nerfed the hell out of my shield, my E, and made my ult the least reliable CC in the game for an ultimate. Feels good when Im relegated to a single strat.
You should listen to the episode if you haven't already :). SmashGizmo basically agrees with you.

: :( Wish this came in a TL;DR text format so I can just skim through the information I find important. Speed listening just doesn't work XD
Hey DTN, If you're looking for a TLDR I really recommend checking out the infosite for crafting and loot: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/site/2016-season-update/champion-mastery.html Generally speaking, the podcasts are not meant to be a quick summary of new features, but rather to provide insight into the reason behind the design and to get to know the folks behind the game. I definitely recommend listening to the podcast in the background while you're doing something else, like playing League :). It makes for a great experience! As always, thanks for your feedback.
: Others have noted that he fires his gun in 4/4 time. Which is used often in music and has many uses for different types of songs. =P EDIT: ENOUGH WITH THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE OTHER TIME MEASUREMENTS! PLEASE! I was just saying what someone who had a PBE account noticed.
Whoooooaaaaaaa....
: If this much thought was put into remaking {{champion:98}} I would love to hear the thought process behind Jhin in the next one. Also for a new podcast I think the host is doing an excellent job keeping things interesting and the topics fresh. Been loving the casts since Episode 1.
Jhin may or may not already be in the pipe ;).
: Personally ive been around since {{champion:121}} has and i have never felt a better insight into riot itself besides the patch rundowns which dont really give us all that much detail besides explaining patch notes. this needs to happen more in my opinion
Thanks Avenge! Right now we're aiming for a weekly release cadence, so be sure to subscribe for regular updates!

So, as the King of Masks, does that mean that you hold dominion over people with masks, or only the masks themselves? Also, do you happen to know (off the ~~top~~ front of your head) how many champs and skins have masks? I could go through and check myself, but I wondered if you knew already ;)
I'm fairly certain that as the KoM he holds dominion over Tentacles and "Delightful!-ness". (sorry, super meta comment)

: Was it ever suggested that each member of the team get a ban? With the sheer number of champions in the game, ten bans might be a better option than six. I do look forward to trying the system out, and commenting on it once it is live.
You should listen to the podcast! We talk about how we settled on the new Pick/Ban phase.
: League Community Podcast Ep. 3
Hey all! If you're not interested in a bit of banter at the beginning (even though I highly recommend listening to it ;)), you can skip to around 7:24 for the "meat" of the conversation. Thanks and we hope you enjoy the podcast!

: Tell me a wee bit about yourselves
My name is Andy, a lifelong gamer, husband for 10+ years, father of two amazing 8-year-old boys and humbled that I've been fortunate enough to love what I do for a living. I'm a firm believer that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. I main jungle and support, mostly playing Morgana and trying like hell to figure out who I should play in Jungle next season, so suggestions are most welcomed! (Thanks for making this post!)
: When are these recorded in comparison to when they come out is there a lot of editing that goes into this?
Well, we're still kind of early in the process with the podcasts right now, so it could be three weeks between recording and release. I'd say there's a minimal amount of editing that happens, mostly to deal with long pauses and flubbing of words. We want to keep these casts authentic and not overly produced.
Jeskail (NA)
: Not a very good job with the mics compared to last podcast. Voices kept fading in and out
That should only be for the first few minutes. We had some audio issues that were corrected quickly, but didn't want to lose the banter at the beginning. Thanks for the feedback!
: Does that mean we'll also get an RSS feed? I know that you can do one through soundcloud.
Here's the RSS feed if you'd like to snag it yourself: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:185796681/sounds.rss
o Mim o (NA)
: That might be true, but you can't do that automatically from your Soundcloud like you can with INMO. You upload one podcast to your INMO and it automatically updates your iTunes as well once you've submitted your podcast once through the INMO Dashboard. You get unlimited hosting as well. No limits on your uploads and no deleting old podcasts to make room for new ones. :) Just sayin... it's worth the 10.00 a month hosting fees. :) AND you can host it in your own name and not Soundcloud's Server Extension. IE: LeagueCommunityPodcast.com :) Not https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/league-community-podcast/id1058107189?mt=2 ^_^ That URL is outrageously long :P
Soundcloud actually has the exact same functionality (minus the custom url...which it might do, but I've not explored it) with a Pro account (which we have). Comes out to roughly $12/mo. Regardless, I really appreciate the info!

: You guys should do a table of content thing for example in this Sourcefednerd video they talk about many different thing and a random guy in the comment just created a table of content. It was very helpful because it help the viewer know where to find what they want to know and avoid stuff they don't want to know like spoilers or stuff they are not interested in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HD5k2rp69s The comment in question. 2:25 - Start 4:10 - iZombie/Gotham 5:19 - Daredevil 31:56 - Agents of SHIELD 37:55 - Flash 41:39 - Arrow 48:27 - Sam Has A Point/Ant-Man Trailer/News & Rumors/Pull List
Great suggestion! We'll look into it.
Stall (NA)
: I listen to many podcasts and I love that Riot is doing one! However, I got really, really bored early on in the podcast because of the pointless talking. I don't know these guys, I don't want to hear about their personal lives, I don't want to hear them shoot the shit. I think that you guys need to work on getting the actual content there first, rather than straying and talking about everyday life topics. I think that this could be a great niche, but at the moment, with this content – I can't see myself listening to too many of these. I think it's ok to move into a personal realm once the audience knows you and respects your point of view and demeanor. Just my 2 cents =d Anyway, high hopes for this! Pleeeeeeaseeee move away from personal content to actual league of legends topics.
Hey Stall! I definitely understand your feelings about the personal content. Right now, our plan is to have a good mix of personal and subject matter in the podcast. I feel that there's some intrinsic value in getting to know Rioters as people and gamers a bit more. We want to create some personal relationships with you guys, and a really effective way is to let you get to know us in new ways. I do apologize you didn't find it compelling and we'll be looking into adding annotation in future episodes so you can jump straight to the content you're looking for. Thanks!

: Will this also be going on the apple device podcasts app?
Heya Dingus! Yep, we definitely plan on publishing this on iTunes. We're currently waiting for their approval, but are hopeful this will happen soon.
: I love the idea of the Dev Corner! Providing a space for Rioters to discuss potentially touchy subjects on their own terms rather than trying to insert themselves into already heated threads should hopefully allow for some really good discussion. I know it can be tricky to accurately predict when projects finish, but do you have a projected timeline for when a filtering system will be available? I love many parts of the Boards, but it would be a lot more enjoyable if I could simply prevent one or two particular sub-boards from turning up in my feed.
Unfortunately we don't have a timeline for it right now. TLDR: it's been difficult to get development time allocated, but we're exploring additional ways to get the work done. As soon as we can give you some more details we definitely will :).
: The new boarder design look like a complete downgrade
Hey all! Just to disseminate some information for all concerned in this thread: From RiotSocrates: > These are placeholder assets to test reward distribution on pbe and not final art. Thanks and apologies if this caused any consternation!
: Oh gods. Now the reds are getting in on it. That's it. I'm done. No more. You're on your own. I'm moving to Gigantic.

: Not justifying them blaming you, but we'll always have to deal with our worst role. Though to anyone who starts mocking someone for playing bad in a role they are bad in: THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!!!
Hijacking the top comment here: It was pointed out earlier in this conversation, but Lyte detailed some of how Ranked Teambuilder will work in an Ask.fm post awhile back. My personal opinion is that this will go a long way towards alleviating some of the pain you, and other players, are currently encountering in ranked pre-game (and the resultant game). [Here's a link to the reddit thread discussing it](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3lznk4/riot_lyte_explains_how_ranked_teambuilder_will/), and I'll also copy-pastarino the relevant parts below: >Our main design philosophy of the new Champ Select was to retain as much of the player behavior benefits as possible, while drastically reducing queue times. We also wanted to retain the strategic elements of drafting. This philosophy led to us to getting rid of the "Captain's Mode" where you can accept or decline potential teammates, getting rid of mirror matches, and no longer asking players to choose a Champ prior to Champ Select. The new Champ Select flow is now: 1. Players can invite friends into a Lobby. 2. Each player is required to select at least 2 Positions (such as Top/Mid, or Mid/Jungle). On average, Ranked players only play 2.2 positions, so we wanted to start simple with a Pick-2 design, but have some backups like rank-sorting all 5 positions if there are queue time issues. We also have designs to incentivize mastering all positions in the future. 3. There's a new position called "Fill." 4. We're currently asking Duo Queues to cover at least 3 unique positions, to further improve queue times. Duo Queues will still have a higher chance of getting the exact 2 positions they want, but it is not 100% guaranteed. 5. Once you've chosen your positions, we match you into a full team and you enter Champion Select. 6. We've made some changes to how drafting works; however, we'll be talking more about this in a future design blog. 7. During Champ Select, you can still negotiate with your teammates to lane swap or trade champs if you want a more favorable match-up just like Champ Select today. 8. Once drafting is done, your team enters the game. I hope this answer helps!
