: ARURF again?
Random was the choice that the community was *screaming* for, people keep complaining about how URF was so "boring" with the same champs being played every game. Those threads are still there, I'm just not sure how to find them: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/UAoZoY9d-urf-is-overrated-and-boring https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/954437-league-of-legends/71564336 It's a bit difficult to look for threads about URF that isn't just some idiots chanting "WE WANT URF NOW" "WHEN IS URF COMING BACK?". But I do remember, at that time, when URF constantly have complaints about how every game is compose of the same champions, or people getting flame for not picking "Urf Meta" picks. And these threads would get up votes with numerous of people supporting this idea of making the game mode random. There wasn't a single soul that speak against it. The revolution and petition is already over, Riot had made the choice of making the game mode random just as the community ask them. To the people that complain, you should have voice your opinion about random mode when it was relevant. Riot isn't going to reverse the change just to please this group and anger the other.

: >An early game squishy champ doing ~~damage~~ 40% of your health for almost 0 mana and 0 cooldown in the early game!?!
Why are you so surprise? Most people know that Sona's damage output is very high at level one, it's the reason why people start Q and charge up power cord before the lane start. Sona can chunk Ezreal for 45% at level 1, meanwhile tankier adcs like Draven would only be about 30%. This is old new, nobody really care about it even... It's not like you don't get HP from leveling up or anything.

: either decrease her camo range or make whiplash have additional range when empowered. Also it is very likely that her kit was made with the new runes in mind (I would hope)
I don't know... They change the whole runes/masteries every season at this point (just like the jungle and Ryze). Making a design base on something that everybody know will get rework/delete later on will just make her another Sejuani case.

: Janna was apparently a Star Guardian before anyone else
Janna used to be a leader, but shit happen, she retire and doesn't want to talk about it. Traumatize by her experience, she decided to make as little of a connection to everyone so she doesn't have to go through that feeling again, and the ultimate reason why she doesn't step up as the leader even though she is the most veteran. She now only act as a mentor to Lux and according to a SG Ahri's quote, it seems like Ahri know about the shit that Janna went through and continuously condemn Janna about her cowardliness to face the reality. SG Ahri quotes "It's not the big lies that tear us apart Janna, it's the little secret." Maybe Janna used to be Ahri's leader... and the little secret that Janna kept is what tear that group apart, don't quote me on this.

: "Kuso" doesn't mean "damn", though. It actually translates directly to "shit", but the Japanese do not use "shit" as a profanity like we do over here in the USA.
And? Kuso in this context is just an expression in Japanese, to express that they don't like the situation, which is legitimately suitable to translate as "Damn" since "Shit" isn't appropriate for Blizzard standard. There are no "curse word" in Japanese (actually not in most Asian's languages in general), but you don't just go around and say the word for vagina in front of people. Just because it isn't a profanity word, doesn't mean it isn't an insult. If anything, the word for foot is one of the most use insult that Asian use to yell at each other, "Eat my foot" is the phrase that I hear in all the three Asian languages that I speak and see in Korean and Japanese drama. However, children are not prohibit to say these words, they can say foot, vagina, penis, poop or anything really. It's the tone and the context that change the meaning of these words. Stop nitpicking on translation. If it still contain the same premise and meaning, it doesn't matter if it was translated as damn, crap, or shit.

I think it's because you were playing as an Ashe mid/top. The game judge you base on how people with the same champion on the same role perform, aka. Yasuo mid and Yasuo top will be judge differently. With such a low sample size of Ashe mid in your mmr, doing decent on her will give you an easy S.

: Most of those I don't even have a problem with. At least you can dodge them (Thresh) or kill them (Sona). Ever try playing against Quinn? That's pure liquid cancer in champion form. If you're melee, she'll CC you forever with vault. If you're ranged, she'll CC you forever with blind. Either way, "forever" is pretty much instant anyways because she has insane burst damage, and you can't even pretend to fight back because Edge of Night exists. You can't run because she's infinitely fast, and you can't hide because she has huge AOE vision.
"Dodge them" can be apply to everything that require landing, you can dodge Quinn blind too. "Kill them"... I mean... other people have brain and not get kill too. Why would a Sona stand still for you to kill her? She literally have an infinite heal and shield. Just because they have counter play, doesn't mean they are utterly useless. I never say they are broken, I say they are "pretty strong" Why are you bringing in Quinn anyway? I was just talking about "support" champs only.
: ARURF sucks. There should be bans because certain champions are beyond broken {{champion:105}} . Despite that it's "random" I've been up against fizz in 50% of my games. Both good and bad behavior exist in both high and low elo, there is no need for you to lash out on us for just wanting to take the game slightly lighter than you do. The thing is that at lower elos you only notice mistakes in hindsight. It is easy to say "I should not have face checked that bush" after you already died <.< Or "I should have ulted sooner to save my AD", but that is the difference in experience and in elo. That is why im saying these people should not be making these mistakes at this elo. Also, just because someone is a higher elo does not necessarily mean they are very good mechanics wise at the game. You can get to diamond without good mechanics at roles such as jungle and support. They are more knowledge based than mechanics based.
Why do you assume that we all think "I should not have face checked that bush"? I don't know about the others, but I do look at my mini map to sees where the jungler is, not all of us would blindly become aggressive when the map is pitch black. I have seen plenty of diamond/master/challenger streamer, I don't see them analyze everything in a super in depth matter either, most of the time it's something along the line of "If I would have flash sooner to dodge the stun then use my Q on him, I might have live". What they usually analyze is definitely simple enough for anyone to say, they are not Jatt's level where he know all the stats and mechanical skill for each champion, are they? If Bronze player would say "I should have ulted sooner to save my AD" when the adc got kill, then what would Diamond player say? "I should have ult as Lee Sin was jumping in to cancel the dash" is that it? Seriously, it's not that difficult to look beyond "hindsight" as you suggested. We all can see as much as you do, it depend on the person, ranking have nothing to do with how observant you are. Regardless of being a support or jungler, being good at macro game won't guarantee your seat in higher elo, you need both knowledge and mechanic to win. I was not trying to dis credit any higher elo, like I said, Imaqtipie know very little about mid lane match up, but he make up for it for knowing everything about bottom lane. Higher elo player have access to as much information as any lower elo player, but what you guys excel at is your reaction time, aka. mechanic. I'm sure that all jungler main knows about auto canceling or any other practical way of clearing the camps faster, but they just don't have that great of a concentration to do it on every camps to become more efficient. Seriously, when they (Trick2G) spectate lower elo and start jokingly making judgement on their plays, he keeps saying stuff like "Land the stun!!11!!!!1111" "Do the ward jump!!11!!11" "You had a moment to flash that wall!11!!!1" Has you guys ever realize that, it's beyond our reaction time to perform those type of things? You guys always complain about how we could have orb walk better, we would have kill the enemy, I am not blind, I can see that I only need to click once, but I just can't flick my mouse at a super speed and be super accurate in that millisecond before I die. Seriously, there is a physical wall that we can't get through here, give me a trivia and I will answer all of them, can I use those knowledge to the full potential in game? Hell no.

When you see a teammate make poor decisions, get caught out of position, not following your fucking laner or face check bushes near objectives when you cant see anyone on the map; this makes diamonds frustrated. These mistakes should not be happening and the player should be good enough so these mistakes dont happen. I expecially hate it when top lane roams and no one pings (dont ping one fucking time, ping 3-5 times because people are too into the game to notice one fucking ping) Or when pantheon backs at level 6 and you know he has ult, please let your bot lane know AHHHHHHH Oh god im too tilted to make making this post lol Sometimes its just better to know less about the game or not know what to do in a certain situation, less heart ache
Let stop with the whole "diamond can better recognize mistakes while players at lower elos dont", we notice mistakes too, we just don't call people out because we know everybody can make mistakes and/or don't have the mechanical skill to solve the problem. As a support main, I get perma auto fill protected. Yes, after you queue up as a support or fill, you get this little icon that tell you that "You are guaranteed one of your selected position this game because you recently filled or play support" The day that I get auto fill into something that is not a support is the day that I will send them a letter. On a different note, the queue time is never a problem for me, are they really that bad at lower elo? I know the higher elo are struggling for sure.

: You made 5 people buy sweepers... They have 1 sight stone literally the map is black cant believe you even got upvoted
I think people just find the 5 sweeper funny, not really the complaint that got the upvote.
: Let's be honest. If you don't have a group of friends to play with, you are going to get banned. It's a matter of time. In solo queue, you can set your watch, that perma ban is coming thanks to some jealous teammate who can't stand you for being better than him. And remember Riot's philosophy, everyone is guilty, until never proven innocent.
I play this game since season 3 alone as a support, I try to stay positive and apologize after I make a mistake. I also give encouragement like "nice job", "thank you", etc. If someone try to pick a fight with me or any other teammates, I insta mute them regardless of their reasons. I don't say anything, I just mute... not like one of those people that are entitle to announce to the world like "lol (summoner name) muted, wtf xD". Why is it so hard to not let your negativity come out? Majority of the people that come into the board and complain about them getting ban for no reason always get proven wrong in the worst way possible and they still try to justify their right. I don't know about your attitude in the game, but notice that you can get ban for being "passive aggressive", it is an option on the report button. Making a sarcastic remark to try to distant yourself instead of just mute is banable, people just thought that it is so right for them to be like "omg, this team suck, why arent we ff at 20, what a worthless game". Yes, what you are saying is grieving and it is annoying. We already know that you want to surrender when you start the /ff, there is no need to repeat it.
: > I PREFER to see a diverse class of mages, the mobile one like Ahri and Leblanc, the utility one like Karma and Oriana, the damage over time like brand and Malzahar, the "tankier" one like Diana and Lissandra. And what do all these bitches have in common? They scale of AP and their core identity is reinforced by AP! :o
And what does "reinforced by AP" have anything to do with diverse design? There are only three type of damage in this game and we are talking about mage, so of course they are all going to use ap because they are mages. What I want for them is not just AP, the dot mages are using items with spell effect {{item:3116}} {{item:3151}} . The support mages are using items with utility and CDR {{item:3174}} {{item:3165}}. The tanky mages are using items that give them survivability {{item:3027}} {{item:3001}}. The auto mages are using items that amplify their auto attack {{item:3100}} {{item:3115}}. Additionally items like {{item:3030}} {{item:3152}} {{item:3003}} {{item:3285}} are all situational for each mages to cover their weaknesses. If you are going to reply then don't ignore the fact that you said "Who gives a shit if zhonya had 150 armor, 45% CDR". Obviously, everybody is going to buy that item, 45% cdr on a single item and you expect it to be weak? It even got the extra 5% that you can't use because yolo.
: Zhonyas has 45 armor...? where are you getting 150?
the comment above me said "Who gives a shit if zhonya had 150 armor, 45% CDR", and I said I do.
: Aight list more side stats they put on AP items to compensate for the AP removal. I'm not going to answer everything you said but the truth is: AP has been nerfed accross the board. You can't say otherwise. AP IS the most important stat for mages/AP assassins. Who gives a shit if zhonya had 150 armor, 45% CDR, it's not as good as the old one if it has less than 120 AP because mages are only usefull because of their spells and guess what: Their spells scales of AP.
I would totally buy that Zhonya single handedly for the 45% CDR, very slot efficient with a good solid 150 armor for survivability. If mages are only about damage and deleting people, then that's not much of a variety... we have Veigar and Syndra for that. I PREFER to see a diverse class of mages, the mobile one like Ahri and Leblanc, the utility one like Karma and Oriana, the damage over time like brand and Malzahar, the "tankier" one like Diana and Lissandra. It make each game more memorable. Before season 5, the only thing that I remember about mages was a spook Leblanc and Ahri with DFG. That or the AOE horror Zigg and Kennen.

: Kisana [ The Voice Of Nature ] Reworked !
I think she have way too much presence with all of her abilities. She literally never have to take any risk to do her job, 3 of hers abilities are global, she can literally sit in her base and still be effective Q - The fear better scale up as it level and have travel time, an AOE hard CC that last 2 second at level 1 is way to oppressive. The range amplification can't be in a support kit, people will play her mid and abuse it with their gold income. It either won't be there at all, or it need a cap with a really low ap scaling. W - A global heal on a basic ability cannot be implemented. This ability is as strong as an ultimate, it need a really long cool down since it is global. All she need to do is use exp runes (are those thing still exist?) and sit in base for free mana and spam the heal to her entire team in the laning phase if it have anything less than a 30 second cool down. Also, there is an item that does this {{item:3222}}, seriously other champion need to spend 2100 gold to buy this item and it is very short range, Kisana basically get a better version of Mikale's Crucible for free. This ability cannot be a basic ability, it is beyond broken, you might as well just sit in base for the entire game and still effectively support your team. E - You need to become level 9 to get the {{item:3363}} to get vision in an area, it would be too strong if someone can ward the entire map for free so early into the game, and this ability does exactly that. This ability have to be a temporary vision, there is a reason why {{champion:22}} can only reveal an area for less than 10 second. And yours is a ward that can be place globally, even {{item:3363}} have range and you can only get it at level 9. Once again, she can ward up the entire map without ever leaving the fountain, too oppressive, no risk-high reward. R - A 5 man guarantee global 2 second hard CC? Too strong, she can accomplish more than any of the champion in this game with no effort. {{champion:37}} and {{champion:1}} have to put themselves in a meelee range, flash, ult, and land their ult to stun 3 people and their stuns only last 1.5 second for Sona and 1.75 second for Annie at level 11. Kisana just press a button from anywhere to land fears on 5 man. This ability chain too well with others AOE CC like {{champion:32}} {{champion:3}} {{champion:41}} {{champion:85}} {{champion:20}} just to name some. And there is no misplay in this either, you literally have 2 second CC for free. Once again, she can just sit in her base and have so much impact in team fight just from using her abilities globally.

Over 50% wins against most popularly played mid laners there. Try realizing quantity doesn't negate the effectiveness of a champion. Might help you climb better. https://champion.gg/statistics/#?roleSort=Middle&sortBy=general.winPercent&order=descend 5th highest win rate overall for mids at the moment, btw. And might I add she's seeing a fair amount of high elo play if you bother to watch streams.
Galio also have the 4th highest win rate global, like you said quantity have nothing to do with viability, but win rate also have nothing to do with champion viability. You can't argue that Azir is not viable because he have a low win rate, he is just difficult to play and only people that main him can play him. However, the case of Morgana mid and Galio is different because they are not as strong as Azir. The reason that Morgana mid have a high win rate is similar to Galio, where only a few people that truly main it play it, which result in a good win rate overall. I never said you can't play Morgana mid, I just said "She might be a viable mid laner now" as in she will be played primary mid and do well automatically without extensive practices and niche play like your power push {{item:3512}} Morgana. Ryze, Rek'Sai, Ekko, Lee Sin, Syndra, Ezreal, Lucian, just to name a few, are completely viable champion that have below 50% win rate. Just like Azir, they suffer the same issue of being strong but too popular which result in them being picked by non-main and lose the game. I appreciate your advice on me climbing, but honestly, I don't look to climb at all. I just play this game because Sona is fun, and I love playing on ARAM. That being said, I watch stream and videos a lot, I watch LCS as a part of my weekend and I do notice how champion viability work despite not really using it since I only play Sona. Remember when Sona was not a viable pick? The time when I have ADCs telling me to pick something else or the team blame me for picking Sona as she "does not contribute to the teamfight"? She still manage to have a 52% winrate, and I specifically had around 60+% (I think). Even though she had a positive win rate, even though I can do really good with her, she was just not viable until the last summer (Those over cap CDR does make her pretty strong). I understand that you can play Morgana mid, and you can rock with her all you want. However, a single person capability does not determine a champion viability. I actually am the most open minded person when someone pick an odd champion. Like the pre Juggernaut update Morderkiser top, I remember the Jungler was so against the Moderkaiser (and threaten to not gank if he does poorly), but I know that only Morderkaiser main play Morderkaiser, and guess what? He was a beast despite how much hate he got. But that does not blind me into going around and tell everyone about how "viable" Morderkaiser is, I know that only a certain people can pull those shit off and I'm not going to try to debate that it was a strong pick of any choice. All I say is that, Morgana might now be play as a mid primary due to these changes. I never said that she is garbage at being a mage, I just said she have no follow up after her Q>W combo (unless you want to waste your long cool down ult on a single target). Calm down a bit, I don't know if she is your main, but everybody get shits about their main all the time. I have to deal with it until the last Sona mini-update, and now nobody say shit because she actually is strong. There are games that I don't die at all (or only once), which usually doesn't happen, just because they fix her weakness against ganks.

Everything can do anything when "played properly", yes I get it... I can play Sona mid and be impactful too, but that does not blind me into saying she is viable there. https://champion.gg/champion/Morgana/Middle
Cool "Support 79.45% Role Rate 34035 Analyzed This Patch"

You might as well just play Lux if you are going to play Morgana mid. I do not recognize her as a viable mid as she is proven to be much stronger in the support role currently. I have not seen a mid Morgana in forever if anything. Respectfully speaking, in your elo I wouldn't be surprised. When I play mid she is my main and does very well, especially with zzrot. It forces mid laner to stay put and deal with my pressure, or I take their towers. It also gives me breathing space to back, roam, etc. You'd be surprised how well Morgana mid does and is impactful on a game when played properly.
Sorry, but I'm just not buy into this type of argument anymore. Everything can do anything when "played properly", yes I get it... I can play Sona mid and be impactful too, but that does not blind me into saying she is viable there.
: >So, this would be a way for mages to always be useful because you can cast this while being dead as well. So long as "always" isn't at some time when the active is on its long cooldown. A better way to always be useful is to buy AP, make your skills stronger, and use that to contribute way more numerical value than the flat values on this skill will ever let you do. I see absolutely no chance that this item becomes a mage standard.
Neither you or I are entirely correct, let just wait and see.
